Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah tenatang kajian implementasi  pembelajaran berbasis praktikum untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam materi arthropoda di SMP Methodist Pematangsiantar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diberikan metode praktikum dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran materi arthropoda dengan metode konvensional (ceramah). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Methodist Pematangsiantar. Pengambilan sampel dipilih berdasarkan populasi terjangkau sebanyak dua kelas yaitu kelas VII-A dan VII-B SMP Methodist Pematangsiantar. Teknik pengambilan sampel digunakan dengan cara “simple random sampling”, sebanyak 20 orang peserta didik dari 36 peserta didik di kelas VII-A sebagai kelas yang diajar dengan menggunakan media praktikum, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diambil sebanyak 20 orang peserta didik dari 37 peserta didik di kelas VII-B menggunakan metode konvensional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan mulai Januari 2021 sampai Februari 2021. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan Praktikum lebih tinggi, yaitu 74,76 sehingga terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar dengan selisih 6,76. Kemudian dari hasil pengujian hipotesis yang dilakukan dengan uji t diketahui bahwa Thitung  (2,65) > Ttabel (2,03) yang artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh Praktikum terhadap hasil materi Arthropoda peserta didik SMP Methodist Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This study integrates the Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) learning model with the cultural framework of Dalihan Natolu (DNT), aimed at fostering active, effective, and creative learning. The objective was to examine the impact of this integrated DNT-SETS approach on students’ problem-solving skills, particularly in the context of environmental pollution. A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving 60 students from SMA GKPS Pematang Raya, divided into an experimental group (30 students) and a control group (30 students). The learning materials included lesson plans, student worksheets, learning model guides, and six essay questions related to environmental pollution, designed to assess problem-solving skills. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality and Levene's test for variance homogeneity, both at a 5% significance level. A t-test was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the DNT-SETS model. The t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000, indicating a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group, which used the DNT-SETS model, demonstrated a 59% improvement in problem-solving skills, compared to a 38% gain in the control group. This suggests the DNT-SETS model effectively enhanced students' abilities to address environmental issues. The integration of the DNT-SETS model enabled students to approach environmental problems holistically, linking scientific concepts with real-world challenges. This model encourages students to gather evidence and develop effective solutions based on their understanding. The DNT-SETS model significantly improves problem-solving skills in environmental education, offering a practical and culturally relevant teaching strategy.

Abstract

This research explains and describes the research data, namely through comparison scores between pre-test and post-test scores, where the pre-test is carried out before starting the lesson and the post-test is carried out after the lesson is carried out in both classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The results of this research indicate success in implementing problem-based e-book media on student activities and learning outcomes in immune system material at SMA Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar city. This success is proven by an increase in the value of student learning outcomes with the criteria being quite effective with a mean value of 63.20% with a standard deviation of 12,348 and a significant difference in the conduciveness of learning activities which is stated to be good with a mean value of 78.14% with the standard deviation of 15,786. The application of e-book media can also increase students' knowledge about digital literacy education, where by implementing e-book learning media, students not only increase their knowledge of science but are also increasingly formed into a young generation who are able to go hand in hand with technological developments.

Abstract

Meningkatnya harga sumber protein dan adanya ancaman ketahanan pakan ternak, tekanan lingkungan, dan meningkatnya permintaan protein di pasar menyebabkan harga protein berbasis hewan semakin mahal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pemberian larva Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ikan Lele Dumbo (Clarias gariepinus). Penelitian ini bersifat eksploratif dengan mengambil data di lapangan. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah benih ikan lele sebanyak 300 ekor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan dalam 150 hari. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) menggunakan 3 variasi pakan dengan 3x pengulangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisa menggunakan analysis of variance (ANOVA) pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Berdasarkan analisis statistik (Anova), pemberian jenis pakan berbeda  berpengaruh nyata terhadap derajat kelangsungan hidup ikan lele dumbo (P > 0,05). Laju Pertumbuhan Panjang Spesifik (LPPS) ikan lele yang dipelihara selama 50 hari berkisar antara 2,58-2,65%, sedangkan LPBS berkisar 6,58 – 6,76%. Berdasarkan analisis statistik (Anova), pemberian jenis pakan berbeda memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata terhadap laju pertumbuhan panjang spesifik (LPPS) dan laju pertumbuhan bobot spesifik (LPBS) ikan lele dumbo.

Abstract

Teachers at SD Negeri 064020 Medan have the problem of a lack of knowledge about implementing the independent curriculum, especially for the Pancasila student profile. Alternative solutions to the problems faced by teachers at SD Negeri 064020 Medan so that they can develop and increase their knowledge and can implement an independent curriculum at the school. By socializing it to teachers at SD Negeri 064020 Medan. The target outcomes that will result from the solution are: (1). Producing teachers who are able to increase knowledge and are able to implement an independent curriculum based on the Pancasila student profile, (2). The results of this program can later be published in national journals. After the socialization has been carried out to the teachers at State Elementary School 064020 Medan, the proposing team will carry out an evaluation by giving assignments and questionnaires to the teachers at State Elementary School 064020 Medan to fill in whether the results of the socialization have met the expected solution to the problems of the State Elementary School teachers. 064020 Medan. The aim of this activity is apart from being an effort by the Government to help the needs of the community, it also proves that the lecturers and HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University are present and able to help with complaints and provide solutions to the community, especially teachers at SD Negeri 064020 Medan so that the vision of becoming a Superior and Competitive University is achieved as well as fulfilling the Tridharma Duties for Lecturers who provide community service.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah di sejumlah daerah di tanah air masih terbatas bahkan masih menjadi masalah bagi lingkungan. Salah satu cara pengelolaan sampah yang bijaksana yaitu dengan cara memanfaatkannya sebagai media budi daya maggot lalat BSF (black soldier fly). Karena itulah tim Dosen Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar merintis usaha budi daya maggot lalat BSF di Kelurahan Pardamean, Kecamatan Siantar Marihat, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Tujuan dari program ini adalah memberdayakan warga Kelurahan Setia Negara dalam mengolah sampah organik melalui budidaya maggot lalat BSF menjadi pakan ternak. Metode pelaksanaannya yaitu dengan melakukan penyuluhan atau sosialisasi bersama staff desa di depan pemuka masyarakat setempat dan membuat langsung kandang lalat BSF. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah adanya diproduksi pakan ternak berupa maggot lalat BSF dan pupuk organik dalam bentuk kemasan siap dipasarkan.Hasil monitoring dan evaluasi juga menunjukkan adanya antusias positif warga untuk mengadakan budidaya yang sama.

Abstract

The low creative thinking ability of students is caused by several factors including inadequate teaching materials and learning media that do not involve students because they use less varied learning models. This study aims to determine the Effect of Canva Media on Creative Thinking Ability in Science Learning Materials for Grade IV Students of UPTD SD Negeri 122399. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research. The research design used is experimental, with a pre-experimental design form that uses a "one group pretest posttest design" design, the sample in this study were 20 grade IV students of UPTD SD Negeri 122399. The instrument used in this study was a test. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, there is an influence of Canva media on creative thinking skills in the science learning material of grade IV students of UPTD SD Negeri 122399. This is proven by the N-Gain Test showing that the average Pretest is 50.4 and the average Posttest is 85.8 where the lowest N-Gain Score is 0.39 and the highest N-Gain Score is 0.94, thus obtaining a gain of 0.78. This means that the class experienced an increase in critical thinking skills with a high category because (g) is more than or equal to 0.70. Based on these data, it is concluded that the application or use of Canva learning media has succeeded in increasing students' creative thinking skills compared to before.

Abstract

Amidst the rapid technological developments in today's digital era, the world of education is required to adapt to the use of technology-based media to support the learning process. One potential media to be used is Macromedia Flash 8, an interactive and engaging animation platform, highly relevant to support teaching skills activities. In facing the flow of disruptive innovation in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, educators need to improve their competencies, especially in the use of innovative and flexible learning technology. This community service activity was carried out through an educational approach, training, and direct mentoring to the participants. The stages of the activity include: 1) Providing education related to digital literacy and an introduction to the Macromedia Flash 8 application, 2) Training in creating animation-based learning content (starting from the planning stage, creation practice, to presentation of results), and 3) Mentoring and measuring participants' mastery of the media. The target of this activity is teachers at SMP Methodist Pematangsiantar. The activity was attended by four Biology education lecturers and 1 student from the Biology Education Study Program. Based on the evaluation results, 90% of participants stated that this activity was very helpful and provided new insights regarding the use of Macromedia Flash 8 in learning at school, especially biology learning, while the other 10% stated that this activity was useful and relevant to current learning needs

Abstract

Pada saat observasi yang dilakukan di SMA Bina Guna Tanah Jawa  guru masih belum maksimal dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran menyebabkan kurang maksimalnya siswa dalam mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) dan penyesuaian model pembelajaran terhadap kurikulum merdeka belajar yang menuntut proses berpusat pada siswa. Tambahan permasalahan lainnya yang dihadapi sekolah mitra adalah rendahnya variasi media pembelajaran, lemahnya keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan teknologi, serta rendahnya minat siswa dalam mengikuti proses belajar. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, tim PkM melaksanakan beberapa tahapan kegiatan, yaitu: observasi dan analisis kebutuhan, penyusunan materi pelatihan, sosialisasi, pelatihan praktik pembuatan media, pendampingan penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual dalam pembelajaran, serta evaluasi melalui kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa guru mampu menerapkan pembelajaran kontekstual dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka yang berpusat pada siswa. Siswa juga menunjukkan antusiasme yang lebih tinggi dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan belajar. Selain itu, keterampilan siswa menjadi bertambah terkhsus pada bidang psikomotorik yang mengembangan daya pikir dan bakat siswa sesuai kebutuhan siswa itu sendiri. Dengan demikian, sosialisasi pembelajaran kontekstual memberikan dampak positif dalam mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih menarik, interaktif, dan sesuai dengan kemampuan siswa yang berbeda-beda tuntutan pendidikan abad 21 dan capaian dari kurikulum merdeka belajar. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat berlanjut dengan pendampingan berkesinambungan dan replikasi di sekolah lain agar manfaatnya semakin luas

Abstract

The people living in the Sukaraja Village area are farmers, fish farmers and traders. The partner problem is that the fish farming community in Sukaraja Village still relies on factory-made feed, causing the price of the feed product to be very high, reaching 70% of the total production cost. The community partnership empowerment program supports the community to improve production and business management that has been carried out, so that the group community can increase income and capacity and be sustainable for their business, through education, training and mentoring as well as program evaluation. The community partnership empowerment activity for productive economic partners, namely the fish farming group, namely Setia Farm, is carried out in 5 stages in implementing the offered solutions concerning problems in the fields of production and management. This community partnership empowerment activity uses a method of implementation stages, namely socialization, training, technology application, mentoring and evaluation as well as program sustainability. The target output of the solutions offered in the community partnership empowerment program is an increase in partner knowledge and skills, an increase in the level of partner empowerment quantitatively, namely an increase in income of 30% and production by 30%, the national journal sinta 5, modules, posters, videos, electronic mass media and copyright. The results obtained after the activity were an average of 100% increase in knowledge and 91% in partner management skills, existing posters, published electronic mass media.
