Abstract

This study focuses on the analysis of the text of Genesis 1:1-2:4.2:4b-25 as a text to reveal the identity of Israel as God's chosen nation. This study aims to emphasize that the story of creation in the book of Genesis is not a chronological text of the creation of man and the universe but the story of Israel's faith journey as God's chosen nation. This research is motivated by the fact that the text of Genesis 1:1-2:4.2:4b-25 is often used as a basis for arbitrary human domination over the created world. Therefore, by knowing the history of the formation of the text, all forms of destruction of nature in the name of religion can be overcome. This research is a critical analysis of the text of Genesis 1:1-2:4.2:4b-25 as a narrative of Israel's journey of faith. This study found that the text of Genesis 1:1-2:4.2:4b-25 was written when Israel was experiencing an identity crisis due to the oppression and influence of other nations. Therefore, this research raises awareness that humans are not the center of creation but creatures who are given the responsibility to care for and preserve the universe.

Abstract

The focus of the discussion in this paper lies in the relevance of priesthood spirituality initiated by St. Montfort about the priest of today. Montfort in his prayer wanted a priest who was by the desires of God's heart. A priest who is not controlled by self-love, but who is always focused on God. The priest who has no worldly or special personal relationships because the priest is called to serve all people is not attached to a property, without problems and problems and even without a personal will. This is important to study because the reality shows that the life of the priest today tends to be inconsistent with his identity as in persona Christi. Many priests and even bishops fall into cases of sexual abuse and misuse of money. The goal is clear that today's priests are aware of their essence and identity as Christ who is present amid the world. Priests are called to present Christ. Thus their lives must be like Christ, living and applying these values in their lives and ministries. The method used in this paper is qualitative research by conducting a literature study.

Abstract

Even though these theories are different from universal standards and the standards of the community concerned. Therefore, Amartya Sen's concept of thought is very relevant for understanding cases of poverty in the regions of Papua and West Papua and efforts to empower them. Abstract

The focus of this research is to examine more deeply the meaning of Michel Foucault's Politics of Power in the democratic system of the '2024' general election in Indonesia. The author places the electoral system in its universal realm, while the 2024 election serves as a trigger to analyze more deeply the political genealogy of power in Indonesia, which in recent years has needed to be discussed in political-philosophical discourse. The purpose of this study is to analyze the philosophical ethical values of the democratic system in Indonesia, which are starting to receive special attention ahead of the 2024 elections. Foucault's power ethics refers to the role of Indonesian democracy which remains on the constitutional basis of democracy which is sovereign from the people, by the people and for the people. By using a qualitative method of Foucault's ethical philosophy, the authors discuss it in a contextual comparative study with the political situation in Indonesia. The author finds through genealogy analysis of power politics is a democracy that will never be separated from power politics in any government system. Thus, a policy of philosophical critical thinking is needed to question the origins, construction, and effects of existing power practices in elections so that everyone who plays the political arena remains based on constitutional foundations, namely Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.
