Abstract

Background: Iodine deficiency disorder (IDD) and anemia are major health problems in Indonesia. Prevalence of TGR according to the result of IDD survey 2003 in District of Dairi is 33,9%. Prevalence of anemia according to Household Health Survey 2001 is 47% for children of 0–5 years old; 26.5% for school children; and 40% for eligible women. The result of a survey in Jakarta capital city special territory 2004 shows that prevalence of anemia is 26.5% for children under five and 43.5% for pregnant mothers. Thyroid hormone regulates metabolism and plays an important role in calorie production, whereas haemoglobin in the blood may distort metabolism of energy in the muscles leading to fatique.Objective: The objective of the study was to identify the relationship between IDD, anemia, and physical fitness and to assess differences in physical fitness according to endemic level.Method: The study was observational with cross sectional design. Location of the study was District of Dairi, Sumatra Utara. Palpation was used to identify endemic level. Three elementary schools were chosen according to endemic level. Number of samples per district and elementary school was determined using quota, and samples were selected from grade 4–6 using systematic random sampling technique. Data analysis used univariable, bivariable, and multivariable techniques. Chi square (χ2) was used to identify the relationship between independent variable and dependent variable, 2 and ANOVA test (F test) was used to find out differences in physical fitness based on endemic level.Results: The result of statistical test showed that the relationship between IDD and physical fitness was p = 0.675 with OR 0.8 (95% CI: 0.499–1.498). The relationship between anemia and physical fitness was p = 0.003 with OR 2.29 (95% CI: 1.33–3.95). There were differences in physical fitness according to endemic level with p < 0.001.Conclusion: There was no relationship between IDD and physical fitness, but there was relationship between anemia and physical fitness and there was difference in physical fitness according to endemic level.

Abstract

Background : The fulfillment of nutrient intake is a basic need of athletes. The result of observation to some athletes with varied branches of sport indicates that nutrition and physical exercise will simultaneously bring better output. Presently, attention to the administration of nutrition for athletes is lacking, moreover at local level. Meanwhile, providing good nutrition is as important as maintaining sports achievement.Objective : The study aimed to identify support of eating pattern to physical exercise of Bali self-defence athletes during local training of National Sports Week XVII Province of Bali.Method : This was a descriptive analytical study which used qualitative and quantitave approaches and cross sectional design. Subjects of the study were all of 26 self defence athletes participating in local training at National Sports Week Province of Bali. Data gathered were eating pattern, physical fitness (VO2 max and body fat percent), and physiological condition (hemoglobin level). Support of eating pattern to physical exercise was measured in terms of physical fitness using regression and correlation analysis. Result : Most of nutrient intakes of Bali self-defences athletes were low in carbohydrate but high in fat and protein. Statistical analysis showed that there were correlation and effect of vitamin C and Fe intake to VO2 max. There were correlation and effect of carbohydrate to body fat percent. There was protein affected hemoglobin level. Conclusion : Adequate consumption of nutrients was needed to support athletes in doing physical exercise during training period.

Abstract

AbstrakLansia dengan penyakit degeneratif cukup tinggi. Di sisi lain, tingkat kemandiriannya rendah. Kader posyandu berada di garda terdepan dalam menerapkan pola hidup sehat di masyarakat. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PPM) ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader posyandu lansia dalam menerapkan pola hidup sehat pada lansia. Program ini menggunakan model “Three Level Marketing” yaitu tim pengabdian menyampaikan materi kepada kader posyandu lansia, kemudian kader mensosialisasikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menerapkan pola hidup sehat kepada lansia di lingkungannya, sehingga pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam menerapkan pola hidup sehat semua lansia di wilayah itu meningkat. Sasaran peserta PPM adalah 32 kader posyandu lansia di wilayah padukuhan Karangmalang, Caturtunggal, Depok, Sleman. Materi PPM adalah penerapan pola hidup sehat pada lansia. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan angket pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku dalam menerapkan pola hidup sehat dan angket kepuasan pelanggan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan analitis. Hasil kegiatan PPM dari aspek proses dinilai berhasil. Hal ini terlihat dari kehadiran seluruh kader lansia yang berjumlah 32 orang dan seluruh kader berpartisipasi aktif selama kegiatan PPM. Dilihat dari aspek produk, semua elemen menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan (p0,05). Total kenaikannya adalah 8,53%, dari 84,9% menjadi 93,43%. Unsur pengetahuan mengalami peningkatan tertinggi (12,21%), diikuti unsur sikap (8,1%) dan perilaku (4,32%). Secara umum, program pengabdian masyarakat ini berjalan dengan sukses. Para peserta menyatakan bahwa pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat terutama dalam meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pola hidup sehat bagi lansia.Kata kunci: Model three level marketing, pola hidup sehat, lansia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan servis bawah pada pembelajaran bolavoli mini siswa kelas 5 SDN Selomoyo Kaliangkrik Kabupaten Magelang melalui modifikasi jarak pelaksanaan servis dan tinggi net. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Objek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 SDN Selomoyo Kaliangkrik Kabupaten Magelang yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Penelitian berlangsung pada semester pertama yaitu bulan November dan Desember 2015 tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar pengamatan dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modifikasi jarak pelaksaan servis dan tinggi net pada pembelajaran permainan bolavoli dapat meningkatkan keterampilan servis bawah pada siswa kelas 5 SDN Selomoyo Kaliangkrik Kabupaten Magelang. Berdasarkan data hasil tes siklus I rata-rata nilai siswa adalah 70 meningkat dibandingkan sebelum diberikan tindakan yaitu 68. Pada siklus II rata-rata nilai siswa adalah 80 dan 92% siswa dapat mencapai nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) 75. Berdasarkan pada hasil penilaian tersebut bahwa pada siklus II rata-rata nilai kelas 5 SDN Selomoyo, Kaliangkrik, Magelang adalah 82 dan nilai tersebut telah mencapai nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) 75. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa modifikasi jarak pelaksanaan servis dan tinggi net dapat meningkatkan keterampilan servis bawah dalam pembelajaran permainan bolavoli mini. Improving underhand service skill on miniature volleybal learning trough space of service work and the height of net modification AbstractThis study aimed to improve the underhand service skill on the miniature volleyball game learning based on the modification the space of service work and height of net among class 5 Selomoyo Junior High School, Kaliangkrik Subdistrict, Magelang Regency. This was a classroom action research study consisting of two cycles. The object of the research comprised 26 students of class 5 Selomoyo Elementary School, Kaliangkrik Subdistrict, Magelang Regency. The study was conducted from November to December 2015 in the academic years of 2015/2016. The instrument in this study included observation sheet and a test. The result of the study shows that the space of service work and height of net modification method can improve underhand service skills of class 5 Selomoyo Elementary School, Kaliangkrik Subdistrict, Magelang Regency. Based on the test result in cycles I the students’ means score is 70, improving than before the action. Before the action students’ means score was 68. In cycles II the students means score is 80 and 90% could reach minimum mastery criteria (KKM) 75. Based on the student test result, on cycles II the means score of class 5 Selomoyo Elementary School, Kaliangkrik Subdistrict is 82 and this score fulfills (KKM) 75. The conclusion of the study is that space of service work and the heihgt of net modification could improved underhand service skill on miniature volleyball game learning.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a model of self-healing with massage therapy and exercise therapy for proper and effective wrist injury for the community to cure wrist injury. This research was a development research with stage: preliminary study and data collection, planning, product draft development, expert validation, product testing, revision and evaluation. The subjects of small-scale test were 5 people, subjects were large-scale test and product effectiveness test was 10 people using minimum sample size formula at FIK UNY Physical Therapy Clinic and Masase Terapi Cedera Olahraga Metode Ali Satia Graha. The instruments used to collect data were expert validation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and goniometers to measure range of movement of wrist joints. The results showed that model of self-healing with massage therapy and exercise therapy in wrist injury was valid. The results of validation of material experts and media experts were included in the high category. Product quality from small-scale tests and large-scale tests was categorized as high. The results of product effectiveness test showed a significant reduction in pain complaints, increased motion function and increased range of movement (ROM). The conclusion of this study was a model of self-healing with massage therapy and exercise therapy valid and effective for a handling wrist injury.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model latihan relaksasi gabungan dari latihan Yoga, Tai Chi, dan Makko Ho (YOCHIHO) bagi penderita diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Diharapkan latihan relaksasi ini dapat menaikkan relaksasi otot, memperbaiki kapasitas fisik, dan mengelola kadar glukosa darah pada penderita diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengadaptasi langkah-langkah Borg Gall, sebagai berikut: (1) studi pendahuluan, (2) perencanaan, (3) mengembangkan produk awal (draf produk), (4) validasi ahli, (5) revisi produk I, (6) uji coba skala kecil, (7) revisi produk II, (8) uji coba skala besar, (9) revisi produk final, dan (10) Produk hasil pengembangan. Dalam uji skala kecil (uji keberterimaan) menggunakan metode survei dan uji skala besar (uji kemanfaatan) dengan metode eksperimen menggunakan rancangan one-group pretest-posttes design. Perlakuan latihan relaksasi YOCHIHO dilakukan 2 kali seminggu selama 6 minggu. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Data ordinal (derajat relaksasi otot) dianalisis secara non parametrik mengguna-kan kruskal-wallis test, dilanjutkan dengan U-mann-whitney test, sedangkan data rasio (denyut jantung istirahat, frekuensi nafas, tekanan darah, dan glukosa) dianalisis secara parametrik dengan uji ANOVA, dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD (Least Square Different) dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian berupa model latihan relaksasi YOCHIHO yang sudah divalidasi oleh 3 ahli, terdiri dari 9 gerakan pemanasan, 25 gerakan inti, dan 7 gerakan pendinginan. Latihan relaksasi YOCHIHO dapat diterima oleh penderita diabetes mellitus tipe 2 dan teruji kemanfaatannya untuk meningkatkan relaksasi otot (Numerical Rating Scale), memperbaiki kapasitas fisik (pulse rate, dan tensi meter), dan menurunkan kadar glukosa darah (Easy Touch GCU dan glucose test strips).   DEVELOPING YOCHIHO RELAXATION TRAINING MODEL FOR PEOPLE WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS Abstract This research is aimed to produce combination relaxation training model of yoga, tai chi, and Makko ho training (YOCHIHO) for people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This training model is expec-ted to increase muscle relaxation, improve physical capacity, and manage glucose level. The develop-ment of research was adapting the steps as follows: (1) preliminary study, (2) plans, (3) developing initial products (draft product), (4) validation expert, (5) revising products I, (6) smaller-scale trials, (7) revising product II, (8) larger-scale trials, (9) revision of the final product, and (10) products of development. In smaller-scale trials (acceptance test) used survey methods, and larger-scale trials (usefulness test) with the experimental method used the design of one-group pretest-posttest design. YOCHIHO relaxation training was done 2 times a week for 6 weeks. Data were analyzed by descrip-tive and inferential statistics. Ordinal data (degree of muscle relaxation) were analyzed by non-para-metrical using Kruskal-Wallis test, continued with U-mann-Whitney test, while the ratio data (resting heart rate, breath frequency, blood pressure, and glucose) were analyzed by parametric ANOVA test and then continued with LSD (Least Square Different) with a significance level of 0.05. The results of this research indicate that YOCHIHO relaxation training-that have been validated by 3 experts, con-sists of 9 warming-up movements, 25 core movements, and 7 cooling down movements. YOCHIHO re-laxation training can be receive by people with type 2 diabetes mellitus and was tested for usefulness to increase muscle relaxation (Numerical Rating Scale), improves physical capacity (pulse rate and device to measure blood pressure), and lower glucose levels (Easy Touch GCU and glucose test strips). Abstract

Penelitian untuk mengungkapkan: (1) pengaruh minuman terhadap status hidrasi dan kadar glukosa darah; (2) pengaruh air mineral, air berglukosa mineral, dan susu cokelat terhadap status hidrasi dan kadar glukosa darah, dan (3) perbedaan pengaruh ketiga minuman terhadap status hidrasi dan kadar glukosa darah. Metode pra eksperimen. Populasi Atlet karate 21 orang. Instrumen BJ urine clinitek analyzer dan kadar glukosa darah gluko DrTm. Teknik analisis data ANOVA satu jalur α = 0,05. Hasil menunjukkan: (1) Ada perbedaan berat badan setelah minum air mineral, air berglukosa mineral, dan susu coklat; (2) Pemberian air mineral setelah minum belum bisa mengembalikan kadar glukosa darah; (3) Ada perbedaan air mineral, air berglukosa mineral, dan susu cokelat dalam mengembalikan status hidrasi dan kadar glukosa darah, yaitu. (a) Air putih belum dapat mengembalikan kadar glukosa atlet; (b) Tidak ada perbedaan antara air berglukosa mineral dan susu cokelat. The impact of mineral water, glucose mineral water, and chocolate milk on hydration and blood glucose levels Abstract: Research to reveal: (1) the effect of drinking on hydration status and blood glucose levels; (2) the effect of mineral water, mineral glucose water, and chocolate milk on hydration status and blood glucose levels, and (3) different effects of the three drinks on hydration status and blood glucose levels. Pre-experimental method. The population of karate athletes is 21 people. BJ instrument clinical urine analyzer and blood glucose levels glucose DrTm. One-way ANOVA data analysis technique = 0.05. The results showed: (1) There was a difference in body weight after drinking mineral water, mineral glucose water, and chocolate milk; (2) Giving mineral water after drinking has not been able to restore blood glucose levels; (3) There are differences in mineral water, mineral glucose water, and chocolate milk in restoring hydration status and blood glucose levels, namely. (a) Water has not been able to restore the athlete's glucose level; (b) There is no difference between mineral glucose water and chocolate milk.

Abstract

The high case of hypertension in the elderly requires curative action. One of the efforts to prevent and treat hypertension is by nonpharmacological methods with massage therapy combined with stretching. This research aimed to discover the effectiveness of massage therapy followed by stretching toward the blood pressure of older people with hypertension. Employing a Quasi Experiment design with one group pretest-posttest, the study involved 25 people who had hypertension With 14 of which were selected using specific criteria. The research used Digital Sphygmomanometer to measure blood pressure. The treatment given to the samples was massage therapy for hypertension with the Ali Satia Graha method for about 20 minutes followed by stretching for about 20 minutes. The data analysis technique of this research was the paired t-test, which aimed to find the significant gap. The research findings showed that the systole value before getting the treatment was 158.36 mmHg, and after getting the treatment, it decreased to 137.93 mmHg (12,90%) with a significance value of 0.000 0.05. Diastolic blood pressure before getting the treatment was at 98.07 mmHg, and after getting the treatment, it dropped to 86.79 (11,50) mmHg with a significance value of 0.000 0.05. Hence, it could be concluded that Ali Satia Graha massage method with stretching effectively decreased the blood pressure of older people with hypertension

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) peta sport tourism; (2) potensi alam; (3) potensi kebudayaan; dan (4) potensi Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM); dan (5) Sarana Prasarana sport tourism yang ada di wilayah Kabupaten Kulon Progo Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif analitis dengan dasar penelitian lapangan. Metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan daftar wawancara dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: peta sport tourism di Wilayah Kabupaten Kulon Progo Yogyakarta tersebar di berbagai wilayah dengan alam pegunungan dan pesisir pantai, meliputi: Pantai Glagah dan Congot, Waduk Sermo, Kalibiru, Puncak Suroloyo, Goa Kiskendo, Kedung Pedut, Kembang Soka, Desa Wisata Nglingo, Dolan Desa Boro, Alun-Alun Wates, Taman Sungai Mudal, dan Grojogan Sewu. Jenis sport tourism: sepeda santai, panjat tebing, ATV, basket, tenis, sepatu roda, gedball, sepak bola mini, senam, kolam renang, perahu bebek, perahu wisata, cano, dayung, outbound, motor trail, arung jeram, tubing river, camping, tracking desa, joging, memancing, dayung, sepeda santai, susur goa, joging, flying fox, susur sungai, downhill, perahu naga, dan agrowisata. The mapping of sport tourism potential In Kulon Progo regency of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Abstract: This research is aimed at revealing: (1) sport tourism map; (2) natural potential; (3) cultural potential; (4) human resources potential; and (5) sport tourism facilities and infrastructure in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta. This research is a qualitative study with field-research-based descriptive analysis. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data collection instruments were an interview list and an observation sheet. The data analysis technique employed in this study was descriptive qualitative analysis. The research reveals that: the sports map potential in Kulon Progo Regency is spread in various mountain and coastal areas, including Glagah and Congot beaches, Sermo reservoir, Kalibiru, Suroloyo Peak, Kiskendo Cave, Pedut natural pool, Kembang Soka waterfall, Nglinggo tourist village, Boro village, Wates town square, Mudal river park, and Sewu waterfall. Sports tourism includes cycling, rock climbing, ATV riding, basketball, tennis, rollerblade, gateball, mini soccer, gymnastics, swimming pool, swan paddle boat, tour boat, canoe, rowing boat, outboard, trail bike, river rafting, river tubing, camping, village tracking, jogging, fishing, caving, flying fox, river adventure, downhill ride, dragon boat, and agro tour.

Abstract

The purpose of this writing work is for children to develop gross and fine motor skills, strengthen muscles and bones, improve balance, coordination, and flexibility of the body. In addition, playing can also increase heart and lung strength, and help boost a child's immune system. Play activities also provide important social experiences for children. Through play, children can learn to interact with others, share and work together in teams. This can help improve a child's social and emotional skills. In addition, play activities can also help reduce the risk of obesity in children. This writing method uses a review study method about the fitness condition of children during the online game period. Data analysis in this study used several literature reviews which were then analyzed qualitatively. The conclusion of this writing is that in the increasingly advanced technological era, children tend to spend more time in front of gadget screens and move less. By playing, children can reduce their screen time and increase physical activity. Overall, play activity is very important for the physical fitness and health of children.
