Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air kelapa pada media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jamur Merang. Jamur merang banyak tumbuh pada media yang kaya akan sumber selulosa, Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah bibit jamur Merang putih, jerami, bekatul, kapur, air kelapa muda dan air. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang disusun secara factorial dan diulang 4 kali. Faktor pertama adalah frekuensi pemberian air kelapa yaitu aplikasi dilakukan sebelum penyebaran bibit (A1) dan aplikasi kedua  dilakukan saat sembilan hari setelah panen pertama (A2). Faktor kedua yaitu konsentrasi terdiri dari control, air kelapa 25%, air kelapa 50% dan air kelapa 75%. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tidak ada pengaruh antara frekuensi dan konsentrasi pemberian air kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jamur merang. Kata kunci: Jamur merang, air kelapa, frekuensi, konsentrasi.

Abstract

Sub-district Semboro is a strategic region for the development of sugarcane Agricultural commodities. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics Jember in 2008, the area under sugarcane cultivation in the district Semboro in 2008 approximately 491 acres, in the District Semboro also contained relatively large sugar mills and has the ability milling capacity of 70 thousand quintals or 7000 TCD ( Tones Cine Day ) with the extensive area of sugarcane commodities land, the availability of seed cane is also needed single bud planting method that is one of the breakthrough to overcome the problems in the nursery. In principle, a single bud planting method is to use a chip nursery development / potray with the buds. This can save planting materials, land and time in the nursery and produce quality seeds.In the early stages of implementation IbM activities that began in April 2014 until now is still running smoothly without significant obstacles, so that every transfer of science and technology that is given to the partners can be accepted and implemented, plan future activities are the stages of the transfer of seed cane single bud results in PII in moving to production fields, and will be doing the evaluation of any activity undertaken. Keywords: IbM, Semboro , Single Bud Planting

Abstract

Semakin luas lahan budidaya pertanian maka semakin tinggi pula kebutuhan akan pupuk  dan juga  pestisida. Maka hal ini memunculkan permasalahan yang sering dihadapi mitra dalam usaha pertaniannya adalah ketika menghadapi kelangkaan pupuk dan juga ketika menghadapi serangan organisme pengganggu tanaman (OPT) pada lahan areal budidaya nya. Tingginya harga sarana produksi terutama pupuk kimia dan banyak petani tidak mampu membeli pupuk kimia ini dapat berakibat rendah nya hasil produksi pertanian, di sisi yang lain ketergantungan yang tinggi terhadap pupuk kimia. Ketersediaan limbah urine ternak kelinci yang ada di Kecamatan Semboro maupun di Kabupaten Jember cukup  melimpah dan masih belum di manfaat kan secara optimal, di dukung banyak nya peternak kelinci yang  tergabung dalam komunitas peternak kelinci, maka pemanfaatan dan pengolahan limbah urine ternak kelinci menjadi pupuk dan pestisida organik mempunyai prospek yang cukup cerah guna mengatasi permasalahan yang di hadapi  oleh masyarakat petani anggota Mitra dari kegiatan pengapdian ini, melihat ketersediaan bahan baku dan kebutuhan yang seimbang dan memadai. Urine kelinci yang sudah di olah menjadi pupuk organik dan pestisida organik tidak hanya bermanfaat untuk pertumbuhan   tanaman dan mengembalikan kesuburan lahan, tetapi juga untuk mengurangi biaya yang harus di keluarkan dalam kegiatan usahatani serta lebih ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Abstract                 Baletbaru Village has several Islamic boarding schools, and this region has tremendous potential for community development activity to overcome problems that exist. Therefore, our partner in this training is one of the Islamic Boarding Schools in Baletbaru Village, Sukowono sub-district namely Islamic Boarding Schools Nurul Muhajirin.               There are several problems that faced by partner, but many potentials are exist and have not been utilized. The main problem is the lack knowledge related to the utilization of organic waste as material for the production of liquid and solid organic fertilizers. Moreover, the knowledge related to the impact of excessive use of inorganic fertilizers is also lack, while Baletbaru village is very supportive for the use of organic waste become natural fertilizer can be used on agricultural land or inside boarding school are area. Based on this problems, the target of this Partnership Awarding Program (PPK) is to provide the education and training for the production of organic fertilizers by utilizing organic waste in the boarding school area. After this training, partner is expected to obtain the capability to apply the technology for liquid and solid organic fertilizer production that are environmentally friendly for agriculture. The community service activity has been significantly changed the knowledge and awareness of the community around Islamic boarding schools to the use of organic waste into organic fertilizer. Through this series of education and training, our activity partner is able to produce liquid and solid organic fertilizers using raw materials in the area of Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Shade plants for coffee plantation generally use dadap, lamtoro andothers. Today there many change the use of shade plant from lamtoro to sengon because economic value and increasing demand for sengon wood. Due to thechanging in different type of shade plant cause affect on coffee plantationmicroclimate. On the coffee plantation also use some coffee clones. The differences type of shade and coffee clones can affect the differences physiological and morphological characters of coffee plant that affect the production.The aim of this research is expected to give information about physiological characters of robusta coffee clones in different shade plant, factors that affect the robusta coffee photosynthesis process, the relationship of photosynthesis with the production and robusta coffee clones that have high production. This research was conducted in coffee plantation at Sidomulyo village, the district of Silo, Jember regency located at a 560 meters above sea level. This research was done on May up to June 2011. The area determination method was chosen based on the consideration that Sidomulyo village is one of the popular coffee producer in Jember. The experiment used field experiment with the quadrant method use to observation and collect the data of 12 years old BP 358. The support parameter observed were light intensity, temperature, humidity and assessed fruit production. The data from the observation wereproduction branch than photosynthesis activity. The result showed coffee clones BP 358  with sengon shade had higher photosynthesis activity than lamtoro shade. The photosynthesis activity was more affected by the stomatal conductivity and the light intensity. Keyword: Physiological Characters, Coffee Clones BP 358,  Types of Shade

Abstract

Desa Balletbaru Kecamatan Sukowono Kabupaten Jember  adalah desa yang memiliki potensi besar baik di bidang pertanian maupun peternakan. Pada umumnya masyarakat di desa tersebut masih tergantung pada pemanfaatan pakan ternak hijuan yaitu rumput dan limbah pertanian. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mengenalkan Azolla sebagai alternatif pakan dan bahan pupuk bio-organik kepada masyarakat serta memberikan pelatihan budidaya sehingga terbentuknya  suatu kelompok usaha di Desa Balletbaru, Kecamatan Sukowono. Rangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi sosialisasi kegiatan, penyuluhan pentingnya Azolla dan manfaatnya sebagai pakan ternak dan pupuk bio-organik, praktek pembuatan kolam dan cara budidaya, monitoring perkembangan Azolla, pemanenan, praktek pembuatan pupuk, serta inisiasi pemasaran Azolla melalui media sosial. Luaran dari program ini diantaranya transfer teknologi tentang Budidaya Azolla sebagai pakan alternatif bernutrisi tinggi dan sebagai pupuk bio-organik, petunjuk/manual  yang berisi tentang cara budidaya dan pemanfaatan Azolla sebagai pakan ternak dan pupuk bio-organik, petunjuk/ manual analisis usaha  budidaya Azolla, serta hasil produksi ternak yang semakin optimal sehingga menjadi salah satu sumber ekonomi yang dapat meningkatkan penghasilan dan kesejahterahan masyarakat  mitra pengabdian dan sekitarnya.

Abstract

Desa Seputih merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Mayang Kabupaten Jember yang terdiri dari enam Dusun antara lain Dusun Krajan, Pandian, Sumberjeding, Sumberwadung, Tetelan, dan Dusun Wetan Kali. Kondisi geografis yang mendukung seperti kondisi tanah, iklim, kebudayaan masyarakat lokal dengan mayoritas sebagai petani menjadikan wilayah Seputih memiliki keunggulan di bidang pertanian. Sektor peternakan juga menjadi unggulan desa yaitu ternak sapi dengan jumlah hampir 70% kepala keluarga yang memiliki ternak. Tingginya ternak sapi masyarakat juga akan menyebabkan meningkatnya limbah yang dihasilkan seperti kotoran ternak. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan guna mengurangi limbah tersebut yaitu dengan mengolah limbah kotoran sapi menjadi kompos yang nantinya dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat di lahan pertanian.. Harapan dari program ini dapat memberikan solusi bagi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan limbah kotoran ternak secara terpadu sehingga dapat memberikan dampak positif baik lingkungan, ekonomi, maupun sosial budaya

Abstract

Implementation of community service regarding plant breeding was carried out in Sumbersalak Village, Ledokombo District with the Kenconowungu farmer group. The activities in this service program are to provide knowledge and understanding related to rice plant breeding. Breeding is carried out by crossing rice plants with the aim of producing superior rice varieties in accordance with the problems of farmers in Sumbersalak village. To improve theoretical mastery of the material, the method used is through material presentation activities, discussion sessions and evaluation. To facilitate the transfer of mastery of plant crossing skills in the field to target farmers, the direct practice method is used. The results of the service evaluation show that all target audiences have experienced a change in mastery of knowledge from not knowing and not understanding to knowing and understanding how to cross rice plants

Abstract

Organic red rice has higher nutritional value compared to white rice and is increasingly favored as public awareness of healthy lifestyles grows. Kalianget Village in Situbondo is one of the regions producing organic red rice, managed by the Setia Budi Farmer Group. However, the marketing of these products is still limited due to a lack of innovation insufficient branding skills, and e-commerce utilization. This community service activity aims to provide training and assistance in revitalizing derivative products of organic red rice, namely cereal and cookies made from rice bran, while also enhancing the group's capabilities in branding and digital marketing. The program involved 20 members of the farmer group, 3 lecturers, and 4 students from the University of Jember. The stages of the activity included socialization, product-making training, branding and marketing training, packaging design assistance, and e-commerce implementation. The results showed an improvement in participants' skills in product diversification and digital marketing strategies. This training has generated promising business prospects for the group and is expected to enhance the competitiveness of their products in broader markets.
