Abstract

This study examines the impact of a STEM-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on Class VIII students' ecoliteracy abilities at SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin using a quantitative pre-experimental approach. The research design employs a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design with non-probability purposive sampling. Results from administering valid ecoliteracy tests and analyzing data with the N-Gain Test and One Way ANOVA reveal a significant increase in ecoliteracy abilities after implementing the STEM-based PjBL model, indicating its effectiveness in enhancing students' environmental literacy. These findings have implications for incorporating innovative teaching methods to improve environmental education in schools. Highlight: Evaluates STEM-based PjBL for ecoliteracy in students. Uses purposive sampling for targeted research. Shows significant increase in ecoliteracy skills post-implementation. Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the module in improving students' understanding of eco-literacy. This research is development research using the 4D development model with ten students as research participants. The learning module developed is validated by two competent validators from internal and external campuses. The feasibility of the module includes the validity and reliability of the module as measured by the validation questionnaire sheet. The validation results show that the module obtained an average score of 3.66 (very valid category), with the reliability score of 0.83 (real category). The research data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. Students' understanding was measured on the competency test in the module on the pretest and posttest after giving the treatment. The results of the module trial calculated using the N-gain formula indicate that the effectiveness was under the high category with a score of 0.703 with an average pretest and posttest values of 43.7 and 83.49, respectively. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the web-based science learning module developed is valid, reliable, and effective in improving students' understanding of eco-literacy.

Abstract

Anemia is a medical condition when the concentration of hemoglobin, erythrocytes, or hematocrit is less than average. The peels of white dragon fruit contains iron, vitamin C and flavonoids, which play an essential role as hemoglobin production. These flavonoids can increase erythropoiesis (erythrocyte formation process) and have immunostimulant effects. This research aimed to analyze the effect of giving peel undatus level infusion toward the number of hemoglobin, erythrocytes and hematocrit levels in anemia sufferer. Twenty-five male wistar rats given per oral injected with Natrium Nitrit before treatment. Wistar rats then grouped into five treatment groups, they are: the control group (without treatment), infusion of peels white dragon fruit with a concentration of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The results showed that there was a significant increase on the number of hemoglobin, erythrocytes and hematocrit levels of the rat after it was given with infusion of white dragon fruit peel. The conclution of this research is infusion of white dragon fruit peel increase the number of hemoglobin, erythrocytes and hematocrit levels.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship of collaborative skills to cognitive learning outcomes in STEM-based science learning. This correlational study was conducted on science education students at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire to assess collaboration skills, as well as an essay test to measure cognitive learning outcomes. Data analysis using person product moment correlation analysis. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between collaboration skills on cognitive learning outcomes with r count (0.425) greater than r table (0.355). Based on the value of r obtained, it can be concluded that collaboration skills have a fairly strong relationship to the learning outcomes obtained by students. Therefore, educators can empower students' collaboration skills, so that students' cognitive learning outcomes also increase.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Project Based Learning berbasis kearifan lokal terhadap berpikir kreatif siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain Pre-Experimental dengan rancangan penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest Design melalui replikasi dengan menggunakan 1 kelas eksperimen dan 2 kelas replikasi. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Kota Mojokerto sejumlah 217 siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-A, VIII-B dan kelas VIII-F sebanyak 92 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa soal kemampuan berpikir kreatif dengan indikator berpikir lancar, luwes, originalitas, dan elaborasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji ANOVA untuk mengetahui pengaruh Project Based Learning terhadap berpikir kreatif siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model project based learning berbasis kearifan lokal mempengaruhi berpikir kreatif siswa yang ditunjukkan pada kelas eksperimen, kelas replikasi 1, dan pada kelas replikasi 2 bahwa nilai signifikan > taraf signifikan dan adanya peningkatan secara sedang dari diterapkannya model Project Based Learning berbasis kearifan lokal untuk meningkatkan berpikir kreatif siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di Sekolah Dasar. Materi yang digunakan dalam adalah sifat-sifat cahaya. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas V SDN Wirobiting 1 dengan jumlah 30 siswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif eksperimen, jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre experiment. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes. Dimana tes ini dilakukan sebelum diberikan perlakuan model inkuiri terbimbing (pretest) dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan dengan model inkuiri terbimbing (posttest). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa soal kognitif C1-C4, dengan jumlah 20 butir soal. Hasil validitas dari soal kognitif mendapat skor 0,93 dan reliabilitas mendapat skor 0,955. Analisis yang digunakan menggunakan rumus N-Gain. Hasil rata-rata dari pretest dan posttest yakni 49,5 dan 71,3, dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,42, yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA menggunakan model inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN Wirobiting 1.

Abstract

Many educators still carry out science learning by using books as the main learning material without using learning media. This affects student learning outcomes. Judging from the results of the acquisition of daily test scores of 8th-grade students at Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan Junior High School with a percentage of 69% as many as 80 out of 115 students scored below the minimum completeness criteria of 75. Therefore, there is a need for media in science learning. This study aims to determine the effect of TikTok-assisted science learning on the learning outcomes of Junior High School students. The material used is the human digestive system in the 8th grade of Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan Junior High School. The study used two classes selected by random sampling technique, namely the experimental class using the TikTok application and the control class using PPT. Data collection used pre-test and post-test tests with 25 items covering cognitive aspects C1-C6. The acquisition of the T-test (Independent sample T-Test) sig value of 0.000 indicates a significant effect on learning outcomes. The N-Gain value of both classes is in the medium category, but the experimental class is higher than the control class. The experimental class obtained a value of 0.62 while the control class obtained a value of 0.36. It is concluded that learning science using the TikTok application has a positive effect on the learning outcomes of Junior High School students. However, educators must continue to monitor students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of e-Book Game Education based on ecoliteracy to train students' ecoliteracy skills. This study used a type of Quasi Experimental method with a research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design involving 2 classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The research instrument is an ecoliteracy question as many as twelve items that include four indicators of ecoliteracy including; 1)knowing environmental problems 2)having an action strategy for environmental problems 3)being able to follow up on environmental problems 4)having quality in addressing environmental problems, which have been valid and reliable. The data analysis technique in this study used the N-Gain test and the Independent sample test. The results showed that there was an effect of increasing students' ecoliteracy skills, in the sense that the use of ecoliteracy-based Game Education e-Books could improve students' ecoliteracy skills which could be shown in the experimental class obtained a higher N-Gain value than the control class. The normality test of the experimental class and control class on the pretest-postest obtained normal results. In the homogeneity test the data obtained from the experimental class and control class are homogeneous. In the Independent sample test, the experimental class got significant value results. This can occur because the experimental class gets the treatment of using ecoliteracy-based e-Book Game Education. So, the use of e-Book Game Education based on ecoliteracy has an influence in improving students' ecoliteracy skills. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh e-Book Game Education berbasis ekoliterasi untuk melatih keterampilan ekoliterasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis metode Quasi Experimental dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Desain melibatkan 2 kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrument penelitian yaitu soal ekoliterasi sebanyak duabelas butir soal yang mencakup empat indikator ekoliterasi diantaranya; 1) mengetahui permasalahan lingkungan 2) mempunyai strategi tindakan terhadap permasalahan lingkungan 3) dapat menindaklanjuti terhadap permasalahan lingkungan 4) memiliki kualitas dalam menyikapi permasalahan lingkungan, yang telah valid dan reliabel. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji N-Gain dan uji Independent sample test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh peningkatan keterampilan ekoliterasi siswa, dalam arti penggunaan e-Book Game Education berbasis ekoliterasi dapat meningkatkan keterampilan ekoliterasi siswa yang dapat ditunjukkan pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai N-Gain lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol. Uji normalitas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol pada pretest-postest memperoleh hasil yang bersifat normal. Pada uji homogenitas data yang diperoleh dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol bersifat homogen. Pada uji Independent sample test kelas eksperimen mendapatkan hasil nilai yang signifikan. Hal ini dapat terjadi dikarenakan kelas eksperimen mendapatkan perlakuan penggunaan e-Book Game Education berbasis ekoliterasi. Maka, penggunaan e-Book Game Education berbasis ekoliterasi mempunyai pengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan ekoliterasi siswa.

Abstract

Scientific reasoning is a fundamental skill that must be developed in higher education, particularly in science-related disciplines. However, existing learning resources often lack an explicit focus on data interpretation and evidence-based analysis, both essential for scientific reasoning. This study aimed to develop and evaluate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of a data literacy-based e-module designed to enhance undergraduate students’ scientific reasoning skills. Employing a design and development approach based on the ADDIE model, the research included analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The e-module was developed by aligning curriculum needs, scientific reasoning indicators, and core data literacy principles. Content and construct validity were assessed through expert reviews, yielding high validity scores (above 3.7) and strong reliability (α = 0.83-0.94). Small-scale trials with undergraduate science education students demonstrated high levels of learning activity (72%-94%) and consistent student engagement throughout the learning phases. Students' scientific reasoning improved significantly, with N-Gain scores ranging from 0.49 to 0.74, categorized as moderate to high, particularly in indicators such as proportional thinking. Statistical tests indicated no significant differences between class groups, suggesting consistent effectiveness across cohorts. Student feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with agreement levels reaching 100% on most evaluation indicators. This research contributes to the advancement of pedagogical design by integrating data literacy into the scientific reasoning process, offering a replicable learning resources that can be adapted across science disciplines to better prepare students for data-driven scientific inquiry in the digital era.

Abstract

This study measures the learning outcomes of the cognitive domain to obtain accurate information about aspects of student domain ability. Cognitive learning outcomes were researched to implement science learning through outing classes using e-books based on local wisdom. This study aims to determine the effect of e-books based on local wisdom on the cognitive learning outcomes of Junior High School students. This study is a quasi-experiment in two groups, namely experimental class (E) and control Class (K), using a direct learning model with a sample of students in class 7K of 33 students and class 7I of 35 students. Data collection techniques using Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The study was conducted by inviting students to do outing class learning using e-books, and tests were conducted using pretest and post-test sheets. The research Instrument used consisted of cognitive questions totaling 20 multiple choice questions with data analysis using inferential statistics with a T-test (independent samples t-test) on SPSS version 26. Results research shows no significant effect on the use of e-books based on local wisdom on the classification of living things, where the learning outcomes of experimental classes with e-book treatment are higher than the control class without e-book treatment. Thus, using e-books based on local wisdom is quite influential in improving cognitive understanding and student learning outcomes.
