Abstract

This community service begins with the understanding that the Geospatial Information Law No. 4 of 2011 mandates that geospatial information must be disseminated and known to the wider community. On the basis of this geospatial information law, community service activities are carried out for coastal communities and small islands regarding the understanding and skills of the Nongsa community, regarding the determination and mapping of fishing areas (MFA), and chlorophyll maps and depth maps, for approaches to Potential locations in the DPI are important so that coastal communities and small islands recognize the potential and spatial problems on Batam Island. This problem will certainly have an impact on the economy of coastal communities, with it being very difficult to determine the location of fishing, which is the main livelihood for the community. This activity includes the development of science and technology to the community, especially in the use of marine technology that can assist in determining fishing areas which will later help and create independence for coastal communities in Mubut Darat in determining fishing spots or areas in the area. The output of this community service program is increasing the understanding and skills of the community in the Nongsa sub-district, Batam regarding the determination and mapping of fishing areas (MFA), providing planks, making maps of fishing areas and developing teaching materials (textbooks) in Batam City. This activity ran smoothly and provided very new knowledge for the people on the island of Batam-Nongsa.

Abstract

Pemindahan area pelayaran dilakukan guna memeperluas area pelayanan Batam Marine Ambulance (BMA).

Abstract

Coastal water is water areas that receive much input of organic matter originating from human activities on land. Anthropogenic activities such as marine aquaculture in Teluk Lampung impact water quality on that waters. This study was conducted to determine the distribution of water quality around Teluk Lampung and its correlations to marine aquaculture activities. The analysis carried out in this study is spatial analysis to determine the spatial distribution of water quality in three focus area, namely Teluk Hurun (HB), Selatan Teluk Hurun (SHB) dan Pantai Sari Ringgung (SRB) as part of Teluk Lampung. In addition to spatial analysis, principal component analysis (PCA) was also carried out to determine water quality as a variable and its correlation to each area. Based on the results of this study, the spatial distribution of water quality varies based on the human activities type in each area. Based on the results of principal component analysis, it is known that the variability of several water quality variables also correlates with the human activities types, such as marine aquaculture and beach tourism.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country with a total marine area of 5.9 million km², consisting of 3.2 million km² of territorial waters and 2.7 km² of Exclusive Economic Zone waters, not including the continental shelf. With the vast waters in Indonesia, sufficient information about the tides is needed. Limitations of terrestrial tide data amidst the increasing need for marine information can be overcome by using global and regional tide models. This study uses the regional tidal data model released by BIG (Geospatial Information Agency) and the global tide model TPXO9 and GOT (Goddard Ocean Tides). From the two global tidal models, the tidal harmonic constant values are extracted at the tidal observation point in Kabil. Evaluation of global and regional tide models is carried out by comparing the amplitude values of the main harmonic constants of the tide models of global and regional tides with the amplitude values of the harmonic constants of terrestrial tidal measurement data to obtain a comparison of accuracy. The results of this research show the value of main tidal harmonic.

Abstract

Destructive abrasion is currently occurring in Teluk Papal Village. The coast of Teluk Papal Village has a humus soil structure with soil conditions with a type of peat that is relatively easy to decompose. The cause is along the coast because of the absence of coastal protection plants (mangroves). To prevent the increasing abrasion rate, a comprehensive plan is needed by involving relevant stakeholders in both short and long-term planning. One of the efforts in controlling the abrasion rate is the construction of breakwater buildings. Before the construction is carried out, a study is needed to support the breakwater construction. One of the supports is to make a topographic or contour map. The field data acquisition process uses Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology. This data processing technique uses photogrammetric data processing techniques with the stages of flight path planning, measurement of Ground Control Point (GCP), and Benchmark points, which are then tied to BIG's CORS points to produce higher control point accuracy, Dense Cloud Point to create Digital Elevation Model (DEM) or Digital Terrain Model (DTM), and orthophoto embellishment. Furthermore, horizontal and vertical position accuracy tests were conducted using the calculation method issued by BIG regulation No. 15/2014 to provide information on how far the accuracy of the resulting map is. The results of the Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and orthophoto data accuracy test research based on the results of the accuracy test obtained a LE90 value of 0.6757 meters, then for the CE90 value of 0.1543 meters so that it meets the map requirements at a scale of 1:2500 at class 1 horizontal accuracy and class 2 vertical accuracy. Abstract

Detection of underwater objects is an object analysis process that uses the capabilities of sonar technology. Side scan sonar is a tool that uses Single beam which can display images in two dimensions (2D). The purpose of this study is to analyze and detect objects on the bottom of the waters. The use of side scan sonar data is very efficient in identifying Punggur Batam Waters. Side scan sonar (SSS) data in Xtf format was processed using radiometric and geometric corre ctions with SonarWiz 7 software to obtain image classifications. The data extraction process used SeiSee 2.2 software to show the amplitude and time values. Traces were taken based on the target ping number. The trace data were converted into txt or xls format then the trace data was inputted into the Matlab r2017a software to show an amplitude (mV) graph. The backscatter analysis used a logarithmic calculation, 20Log10 (Vt/V0) with Vt being the dominant and V0 being the maximum amplitude. Based on the SSS backscattering in the waters of Punggur Batam we got 6 targets which had backscatter values about -3.32 dB, -5.71 dB, -1.13 dB, -6.81 dB, -4.86 dB, and -3.74 dB. The backscatter value is used to estimate the types of targets in Punggur waters, namely large corals, medium corals, large rocks, medium rocks, and quite large rocks. The size of the backscatter value was influenced by the target amplitude.
