Abstract

AbstrakCrimping iron merupakan alat yang dapat menambah volume rambut, hal tersebut mampu menciptakan inovasi dalam bidang penataan rambut sebagai pengganti teknik sasak pada penataan sanggul modern. Penerapan crimping iron cukup efektif dan mudah diurai kembali dibandingkan dengan teknik sasak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui 1) pengaruh penerapan alat 2) perbandingan hasil penataan sanggul menggunakan crimping iron dan teknik sasak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan tergolong dalam penelitian eksperimen. Variabel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas: penerapan crimping iron dan teknik sasak, varibel terikat: hasil penataan sanggul modern, dan variabel kontrol meliputi: 1) proses pengerjaan dilakukan oleh peneliti, 2) desain penataan sanggul yang digunakan sama, 3) kriteria rambut model yang diberikan perlakuan yaitu panjang rambut sebahu, jenis rambut normal cenderung tipis, dan virgin atau tidak direbonding. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dengan melibatkan 31 observer. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji independent samples T test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penerapan crimping iron, kecuali pada aspek penambahan volume tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan karena kedua teknik tersebut dapat menambah volume atau tinggi rambut, 2) penerapan alat crimping dan teknik sasak pada hasil penataan sanggul memperoleh nilai t hitung 4,586 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada perbandingan hasil penataan sanggul modern. The purpose of this study was to find out 1) the influence of the application of the tools 2) comparison of the results of the bun arrangements using crimping iron and sasak techniques. The type of research used is classified as experimental research. The variable of this research is consist of dependent variable: the application of crimping iron and sasak technique, independent variable: design of the arrangement modern bun, and control variable consist of: 1) the process of work carried out by researches, 2) used the same of bun design, 3) hair criteria of the model that gets the treatment are shoulder lenght hair, normal hair tend to be thin, and virgin or not rebonding. The data collection method uses the observation method involving 31 observers. The data analysis technique used independent samples T test. The results showed that 1) there is significant influence on the application of crimping iron, except in the aspect of the addition of volume does not indicate a significant difference because both techniques can increase the volume or height of the hair. 2) the application of the crimping tool and sasak techniques on the results of the bun arrangement has a T count of 4.586 with a significance of 0.000 <0,05 so it can be concluded that there was significant differency on the comparison of the results of the arrangement modern bun. Abstract

This study aims to measure the interest of a group of young people in the use of fabric masks in the Covid-19 era in terms of the value of needs, designs, colors, types of materials, and accessories. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research subjects were all new students of 2020, the Department of Home Economics Education with a sample of 228. The data collection method used a questionnaire with a Likert scale model of four alternative answers. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis of the frequency distribution and exploratory factor analysis. The instrument validity was proven by Product Moment Correlation, while its reliability was tested by Cronbach’s Alpha. The results showed that the mask design was more explained by colors, materials, and fashionable factors, while mask values were due to consideration of needs and protection factors

Abstract

Awal tahun 2020 Indonesia mengalami pandemi Covid-19. Virus ini dapat menyebabkan gangguan sistem pernapasan, pneumonia yang bersifat akut dan gagal ginjal. Memperkuat sistem imun tubuh melalui minuman herbal merupakan salah satu cara yang bisa dilakukan untuk menangkal penularan virus ini maupun berbagai penyakit lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) mengetahui formula minuman hebal serbuk dan 2) hasil uji hedonik ,minuman herbal. Uji hedonik dilakukan oleh panelis terlatih yang meliputi pengamatan minuman serbuk dan minuman seduh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: 1) komposisi bahan minuman herbal adalah jahe gajah, jahe emprit, jahe merah, daun sirih, sereh, temulawak, kunyit, lengkuas, cengkeh dan kayumanis; dan 2) Hasil uji hedonik 63,33% panelis tidak menyukai warna serbuk, 76,67% menyukari butiran teksur serbuk, 53,33% menyukai aroma minuman, 76,67% menyukai kelarutan minuman serbuk, dan 60% panelis menyukai rasa minuman seduh herbal. Hal ini mengindikasikan formula minuman serbuk dapat diterima oleh masyarakat sebagai minuman herbal. Early 2020, Indonesia experienced the Covid-19 pandemic. This virus can cause respiratory system disorders, acute pneumonia, and kidney failure. Strengthening the body's immune system through herbal drinks is one way that can be done to ward off the transmission of this virus and various other diseases. The objectives of this study were 1) to see the formula of the great powder drink and 2) the results of the hedonic test, herbal drinks. The hedonic test is carried out by trained panelists who can monitor powdered drinks and brewed drinks. The results showed: 1) the composition of the herbal drink ingredients was elephant ginger, emprit ginger, red ginger, betel leaf, lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, galangal, cloves, and cinnamon; and 2) The results of the hedonic test 63.33% of the panelists disliked the powder color, 76.67% liked the powder grains, 53.33% added the aroma of the drink, 76.67% of the solubility of powdered drinks, and 60% of the panelists on the taste of herbal brewed drinks. . This formula indicates that powder drink can be accepted by society as herbal drink.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan untuk menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pembuatan asesoris berupa kalung masker untuk meningkatkan estetika pengguna masker khususnya pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah: 1) Menghasilkan kalung masker yang multi guna, mempermudah penyimpanan dan penggunaan masker serta agar penggunanya tetap tampil modis; 2) Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para siswa SMK PGRI Wlingi dalam materi pelajaran produktif kreatif dan kewirausahaan; 3) Dapat menghasilkan asesoris yang memiliki nilai jual. Metode kegiatan berupa pelatihan secara langsung oleh tim pelaksana PKM. Materi pelatihan berupa penjelasan mengenai teori asesoris, jenis dan macam bentukan, cara membuat, dan tips serta trik dalam penjualan. Pelatihan diberikan secara offline dan online, dengan demonstrasi dan praktek, evaluasi hasil dan pengisian angket respon peserta. Hasil kegiatan berupa asesoris kalung masker dengan berbagai model.

Abstract

Pemberlakuan sosial distancing sangat berdampak pada laju usaha kecil dan menengah, yaitu menurunnya pendapatan secara drastis karena mereka tidak dapat berjualan dengan menjajakan dagangannya. Kondisi tersebut masih berlangsung pada saat masa pandemi. Beberapa masyarakat yang terdampak kehilangan mata pencahariannya adalah penjual jamu gerobak/sepeda yang biasa menjual dagangannya dengan berkeliling dan mangkal disuatu tempat. Tujuan PKM ini 1) mengedukasi masyarakat dalam  pengembangan produk jamu, pengemasan, pemasaran berbasis online, dan pentingnya penerapan sanitasi higiene, dan 2) memberikan pelatihan pembuatan jamu instan dengan menerapkan sanitasi higiene. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemberian materi dan pelatihan. Peserta pelatihan adalah kelompok penjual jamu di Sidoarjo sebanyak 5 orang. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah 1) edukasi dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai pengolahan jamu instan, dengan rata-rata 7,8 yang artinya baik; dan 2) Pelatihan pembuatan jamu instan dinyatakan berhasil mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan, yaitu keterampilan dalam pembuatan jamu dengan nilai rata-rata 3,87 yang artinya termasuk kedalam kategori baik. Konsumsi jamu meningkat selama masa pandemi karena memiliki khasiat kesehatan, hal ini menjadi peluang usaha yang baik bagi penjual jamu keliling untuk membuat jamu instan. Implikasi dari kegiatan ini adalah edukasi dan pelatihan pembuatan jamu instan memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan income generating keluarga.Kata kunci: jamu instan, edukasi, masa pandemi, home industry.

Abstract

MAN 2 Madiun merupakan jenjang sekolah formal dimana diberikan pendidikan umum dan pendidikan agama. Selain pendidikan formal disekolah, siswa MAN 2 Madiun membutuhkan keterampilan yang dapat digunakan untuk menghadapi berbagai tantangan hidup. Salah satu keterampilan yang dibutuhkan adalah keterampilan make up karnaval. Tujuan dari pelatihan make up karnaval adalah meningkatkan keterampilan, menumbuhkan jiwa berwirausaha dan meningkatkan lifeskill siswa. Pelaksanaan pelatihan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung dengan metode demonstrasi. Hasil pelatihan dinilai dengan teknik observasi untuk melihat keberhasilan dari pelatihan. Hasil dari pelatihan didapatkan 25% peserta melakukan make up dengan sangat rapi dan 65% rapi, 40% peserta menggunakan kombinasi warna yang sangat baik dan 60% baik, 60% peserta membuat gambar diwajah sangat sesuai dengan desain dan 25% sesuai desain, serta 25% peserta hasil make up keseluruhan sangat baik dan 75% baik. Tanggapan peserta terhadap kegiatan pelatihan make up karnaval diperoleh hampir 100% memberikan respon yang positif.

Abstract

There have been many studies focusing on graduate tracing. However, they were still determining how likely the graduates will work following their interests and the fields of knowledge they have studied. This study aimed at gaining improved awareness of cosmetology education graduates' employment readiness concerning social skills, performance, and work motivation. This explanatory research used the entire research population of the last two years, as many as 70 graduates. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire on each variable studied. While the analysis method used a structural equation model (Warp-PLS) to confirm the model's accuracy while testing the influence of variables on other variables and verifying that the instruments utilized were valid and dependable. The results proved that social skills, performance and work motivation directly and significantly affect graduate job readiness. Graduates' social skills and performance also affected job readiness in the field. The social skills of graduates were higher in influence than the performance and motivation of graduates in work readiness, with a difference of 0.391. These results implied a need to improve soft communication skills and spiritual provision in addition to the competencies that graduates already have.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the type and meaning of Sari Agung bridal make-up from Lumajang, East Java, which includes makeup and hairdo, and also clothing and accessories worn. This study is a descriptive study with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using triangulation methods, which includes 1) interviews, 2) observation, and 3) documentation. Data sources in this study are senior bridal makeup artist in Lumajang, chairman of DPC Harpi Melati, and head of the Arts and Culture section of the Lumajang City Tourism Office. From the study results it is known that the Lamajang Sari Agung Bridal Makeup is a beautiful makeup, while the form of hair makeup is in the form of ˜ukel konde. Clothing and jewelry worn by the Lamajang Sari Agung bride; such as: jewelry made of silver; illustrates that Lumajang is a producer of silver crafts. The ˜dodot sinebab motives illustrate ˜pisang agung which is an icon of Lumajang. ˜Sekar manggis, ˜sulur pakis, etc describes natural wealth of Lumajang. Cinde fabric with empty palace motive describes the Lumajangs community belief that humans are born empty, carrying nothing.

Abstract

Flour-based clay are frequently used to create 3D figures, various handcrafts, along with a play and learning tool. Other than that, flour-based clay could also be an alternative material for accessory making. It is regularly made of corn starch, tapioca starch, rice flour, as well as white glue. To get the right dough consistency, finding out the accurate components and composition is needed. As a result, the finish product would be made into hair accessories. The technique used for making the hair accessory is wire wrapping. This research aims to find out the accurate dough components and composition, the ideal size of hair accessories, and wire-wrapped technique for accessory making. This research used literature review method, data are obtained from journals combined with articles that correlated with flour-based clay, hair accessories, including wire wrapping technique. Results from the data that has been obtained showed a good clay component consists of flour that contained amylose (tapioca flour, corn starch, et cetera), flour with higher amylopectin content for example waxy corn starch, waxy potato starch, and waxy rice starch, preservative, lubricant, white glue, and salt. The clay dough indicators are soft, pliant, non-sticky, low in viscosity, and resistant in retrogradation Based on the data, the ideal size of a hair accessory is 1:4 and one third from facial height. Jewelry making technique namely filigree and straw weaving could be applied for the purpose of making hair accessory.
