Abstract

Bridal makeup plays an important role in supporting the appearance of the bride, especially for brides who have acne-prone skin. The selection of the right foundation and application tools greatly affects the final result of the makeup. This study aims to analyze the differences in the results of foundation application using a beauty blender, brush, and a combination of both on acne-prone skin in International bridal makeup. This study uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The subjects consisted of three models with similar acne-prone skin characteristics, and involved 30 panelists. Data were collected through observation using research instruments and analyzed descriptively and through a one-way ANOVA test. The results showed a significance value of 0.00 (p <0.05), which indicated a significant difference between the three foundation application methods. The average assessment score showed that the application using a beauty blender scored 22.1 (fairly good category), a brush scored 23.3 (good category), and a combination of both scored the highest, namely 24.4 (very good category). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of a combination of a brush and a beauty blender provides the most optimal results in applying foundation to acne-prone skin in International bridal makeup. Abstract

There have been many studies focusing on graduate tracing. However, they were still determining how likely the graduates will work following their interests and the fields of knowledge they have studied. This study aimed at gaining improved awareness of cosmetology education graduates' employment readiness concerning social skills, performance, and work motivation. This explanatory research used the entire research population of the last two years, as many as 70 graduates. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire on each variable studied. While the analysis method used a structural equation model (Warp-PLS) to confirm the model's accuracy while testing the influence of variables on other variables and verifying that the instruments utilized were valid and dependable. The results proved that social skills, performance and work motivation directly and significantly affect graduate job readiness. Graduates' social skills and performance also affected job readiness in the field. The social skills of graduates were higher in influence than the performance and motivation of graduates in work readiness, with a difference of 0.391. These results implied a need to improve soft communication skills and spiritual provision in addition to the competencies that graduates already have.

Abstract

Tujuan Artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat konsumen dalam penggunaan batik sebagai busana dan pelengkap busana bagi konsumen yang berkunjung di Mirota Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Obyek penelitian adalah minat konsumen dalam penggunaan busana dan pelengkap busana batik ditinjau dari jenis kelamin, usia, dan kesempatan pemakaian dengan subyek penelitian yaitu konsumen yang membeli busana dan pelengkap busana batik di Mirota Surabaya sebanyak 50 responden. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket (kuesioner). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan persentase dan uji crosstab dengan bantuan program SPSS 17, untuk melihat besarnya nilai Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa: 1) minat responden wanita yang menggunakan busana batik lebihbanyak dari pada konsumen pria,  yaitu sebesar 66%; 2) minat konsumen berdasarkan usia ternyata lebih banyak responden usia dewasa yang menggunakan busana batik jika dibandingkan dengan pelengkap busana batik yaitu sebesar 94%; 3) minat konsumen berdasarkan kesempatan pemakaian busana batik responden pria usia dewasa adalah busana pesta (66,7%) dan busana kerja (33,3%), sedangkan wanita usia dewasa sebesar 42,3% busana pesta, dan 26,9% busana kerja; 4) ada hubungan antara jenis kelamin, usia responden, dan kesempatan pemakaian dengan  minat konsumen dalam penggunaan batik sebagai busana dan pelengkap busana di Mirota Surabaya.

Abstract

The diversity of tribes and cultures that make prospective brides have choices in determining the bridal makeup that will be used at their wedding. This study is to determine the social environment, marketing techniques, the form of Sundanese Siger veiled bridal makeup, and to determine the dominant factors in consumer decisions in choosing Sundanese Siger veiled makeup in Banyuwangi Regency. This type of research is quantitative with 81 respondents who use Sundanese Siger veiled makeup. The results of this study indicate that the social environment, marketing techniques, and the form of Sundanese Siger veiled bridal makeup influence consumer decisions in choosing Sundanese Siger veiled bridal makeup with a significant value of 0.000 smaller than 0.005. The dominant variable influencing consumer decisions is marketing techniques with a coefficient value of 0.672. The conclusion of this study shows that the decision of prospective brides in choosing Sundanese Siger veiled makeup is influenced by various factors, especially the social environment, marketing techniques, and the form of bridal makeup itself. Of the three factors, marketing techniques are the most dominant factor influencing consumer decisions. This shows the importance of marketing strategies in attracting consumer interest, especially in the Wongsorejo Banyuwangi area. Abstract

Tingginya konsumsi kosmetika di Malaysia tidak selalu diiringi literasi keamanan dan kehalalan produk yang memadai, sehingga dapat berpotensi menimbulkan risiko kesehatan dan kesalahan persepsi konsumen. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi pemilihan kosmetika aman dan halal serta keterampilan pembuatan kosmetika tradisional berbahan alam pada anggota Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ummah Indonesia Malaysia. Pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) diterapkan melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, edukasi cerdas pemilihan kosmetika, praktik pembuatan sabun berbahan umbi dan rumput teki, serta evaluasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Kajang, Selangor, dengan melibatkan perempuan Muslimah anggota komunitas. Evaluasi menggunakan tes tulis dan angket respon peserta. Hasil menunjukkan nilai rata-rata tes 96,3 (kategori sangat baik) serta 80–100% peserta memberikan respon positif terhadap materi, metode, dan manfaat pelatihan. Program ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan literasi konsumen, kesadaran regulatif, serta motivasi kewirausahaan berbasis kosmetika alami.
