This study examines the application of Muslim producers’ ethics within the framework of Islamic business ethics as a strategy to build consumer trust and ensure business sustainability. Fraudulent practices in production and marketing that neglect moral values often reduce consumer confidence. Islamic business ethics emphasizes justice, honesty, trustworthiness, transparency, and social responsibility principles that are both spiritual and strategic. Using a qualitative library research method, this study finds that implementing Islamic ethical values positively influences consumer trust, loyalty, and satisfaction, while enhancing business reputation and competitiveness. Conversely, neglecting ethics undermines public trust and threatens sustainability. Thus, Islamic business ethics functions not only as a moral guideline but also as a strategic approach to face globalization and market competition. Abstract

This study aims to examine Global Islamic economic growth and increasing religious awareness among Muslims require a deep understanding of the concept of Muslim consumer ethics that governs purchasing decisions and consumption behavior. This study aims to analyze the concept of Muslim consumer ethics from a sharia perspective and its implementation in the context of contemporary consumption. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature analysis method. Data was collected from primary sources (the Qur'an and Hadith) and secondary sources (works by scholars, academic journals, and related books). The results of the research and discussion revealed that there are five main dimensions of Muslim consumer ethics: (1) awareness of halal-haram as a basic foundation, (2) the principle of wasatiyyah (moderation) in consumption, (3) social responsibility and environmental awareness, (4) spiritual orientation in consumption decisions, and (5) consideration of the public interest. The implementation of this concept in a contemporary context shows a complex dynamic between the ideals of sharia and practical realities. Muslim consumer ethics is a holistic value system that integrates spiritual, social, economic, and environmental dimensions. A comprehensive understanding of this concept is important for the development of products, marketing strategies, and policies that are in line with the needs of Muslim consumers.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of investment knowledge, motivation, and income on investment decisions in sharia mutual funds among the people of Pekanbaru City. The primary background for selecting this location is the high economic potential and the dominance of the productive-age population in Pekanbaru. This research employs a quantitative method, with data collection conducted through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents in Pekanbaru City. Data analysis techniques include multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 26 software, encompassing research instrument tests, classical assumption tests, hypothesis testing, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that the t-count for investment knowledge is 1.267 < 1.984 (t-table) with a significance value of 0.208 > 0.05, suggesting that investment knowledge has no significant influence on sharia mutual fund investment decisions among the people of Pekanbaru City. Conversely, the t-count for motivation and income are 4.520 and 4.418, respectively, both exceeding the t-table value of 1.984, with significance values less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). This indicates that motivation and income have a positive and significant influence on sharia mutual fund investment decisions. Furthermore, the F-count (158.874 > 2.70) confirms that investment knowledge, motivation, and income simultaneously have a significant effect on investment decisions. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.827 shows that these three variables explain 82.7% of the variation in investment decisions, while the remaining 17.3% is explained by other variables outside this research model.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of distribution in Islamic economics with an emphasis on the principles of justice (al-‘adl) and welfare (al-falāh) as well as its relevance to contemporary economic challenges. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach by analyzing primary and secondary sources, including the Qur’an, Hadith, classical works, and contemporary scholarly contributions. The findings reveal that distribution in Islam has distinct characteristics compared to capitalism and socialism, as it balances individual ownership, public ownership, and state ownership. The distribution instruments regulated by Sharia include zakat, infaq, sadaqah, waqf, and inheritance, which serve as mechanisms for wealth redistribution, poverty alleviation, and strengthening social solidarity. The application of Islamic distribution principles proves to be highly relevant in addressing modern economic issues such as social inequality, structural poverty, the dominance of interest-based financial systems, and intergenerational sustainability. Thus, distribution in Islam is not merely oriented toward economic efficiency but also prioritizes justice, sustainability, and the welfare of the community. Abstract

The concept of demand is one of the fundamental principles in microeconomics, explaining the relationship between the price of a good and the quantity demanded by consumers. From an Islamic perspective, the concept of demand is not solely based on rational economic considerations but is also influenced by moral, ethical, and Sharia (Islamic law) values. This study analyzes the microeconomic principles underlying the concept of demand from an Islamic viewpoint. Unlike conventional theory, which bases demand on price, income, and consumer preferences, Islamic economics emphasizes that demand is also guided by Sharia values such as halal-haram (permissibility), justice, public interest (maslahah), and moderation in consumption. This research employs a literature review method, examining both classical and contemporary sources, including the thoughts of al-Ghazali, Ibn Taymiyyah, al-Shatibi, M. Umer Chapra, and Adiwarman Karim, along with empirical studies on Muslim consumption behavior. The findings reveal that the Islamic concept of demand has a dual orientation: fulfilling material needs while preserving the objectives of maqasid al-shariah. Thus, demand in Islam is directed toward goods and services that are lawful, beneficial, and free from harm. The study concludes that the Islamic theory of demand offers a more ethical, just, and sustainable alternative to conventional theories, enriching the body of Islamic economic knowledge.
