Abstract

Developing computational thinking skills in the modern era of mathematics education is becoming increasingly important. Mathematical software such as Photomath offers exciting potential in supporting the development of these capabilities. This article presents an in-depth analysis of the role of Photomath in developing students' computational thinking skills through a literature review study. By identifying and evaluating relevant literature, this article explains Photomath's contribution to the understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving processes. The results of the analysis provide valuable insight into the impact of using Photomath on mathematics learning and the development of students' computational thinking skills.

Abstract

To improve quality human resources, it must be addressed at the educational level. One effort that can be made so that the learning process can improve in this era of very rapid technology is by using teaching media in mathematics learning. One example is the use if geogebra which can help solve given mathematical problems. The aim of this research is to clarify the benefits if Geogebra as a mathematics teaching medium. The results of this research show that there are many benefits from using Geogebra and can determine the extent of students' computing understanding.

Abstract

In the era of increasing digitalization, the integration of technology in education is becoming increasingly important. One area that has received a major contribution from technology is mathematics education at the secondary school (SMA) level. The use of mathematics software has become a highly effective tool for teachers and students in understanding complex mathematical concepts, developing computational skills, and solving problems more efficiently and interactively. This article analyzes various literature studies related to the use of mathematics software in high school, with a focus on developing students' computational thinking abilities. Computational thinking (CT) abilities, which were first introduced by Seymour Papert, are important skills that help students in decision making and problem solving. Various studies show that the integration of CT in educational curricula, particularly through teaching programming and the use of mathematical software, can improve students' computing skills. Although there are challenges in implementation, such as lack of infrastructure and teacher training, this study highlights the importance of using technology in mathematics education to create a dynamic, interactive, and relevant learning environment. This research aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of literature studies related to the use of mathematics software in high school and its influence on the development of students' computational thinking skills. By understanding the findings from previous studies, it is hoped that this research can make a significant contribution to designing a more effective mathematics curriculum and provide practical guidance for educators in integrating mathematics software in everyday learning. The results of the analysis show that technology-based interactive learning methods, the use of special software such as Matlab and Geogebra, as well as programming training with languages ​​such as Java and Python, all show positive results in improving students' computing skills. However, there is still a need to improve abstract thinking skills and address variations in computational abilities among students.

Abstract

One of the factors that causes low critical thinking skills of students is the use of inappropriate learning models in the learning process. The learning process has an important role in developing students' critical thinking skills. One of the learning models that is considered effective in improving students' critical thinking skills is the Inside Outside Circle model. So this study aims to determine the Effect of the Inside Outside Circle Cooperative Learning Model Assisted by Audio Visual Media on the Critical Thinking Skills of Junior High School Students in Mathematics Learning. The research method used is quantitative descriptive using the quasi-experimental method. The results of this study obtained the Independent sample t-test test showing that the significance of 0.024 at the significance level α = 0.05, the two-sided p significance level of 0.024, which means less than 0.05, then H_a is accepted and H_0 is rejected, which means there is a statistically significant effect of the Inside Outside Circle cooperative learning model assisted by audiovisual media on critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Genetic algorithms are computer techniques inspired by the theory of evolution and genetics. Individual definition, chromosome initialization, chromosome testing, selection (crossover) and mutation are fundamental elements of genetic algorithms. Genetic algorithms are used to solve optimization problems, such as lesson planning, community services and traffic light adjustment. By producing the best combination of chromosomes, the genetic algorithm can achieve ideal results. The genetic algorithm produces appropriate planning data to avoid delays. This research uses the methods of data collection, individual definition and chromosome initialization. The result of this research is a service application designed to be able to plan efficiently through development using a genetic algorithm. Optimal planning occurs when processing planning data produces solutions that are efficient in terms of time, energy, and resources, and avoids conflicting schedules in the same place..

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to determine the application of the nearest neighbor classification algorithm in diabetes detection. This nearest neighbor classification algorithm is a classification method often used to classify objects based on available data. This method works by searching for the closest objects in the dataset and classifying the new objects based on the closest object category. The application of the KNN algorithm can be carried out in various fields, such as analyzing the feasibility of credit granting, classifying online news materials or diagnosing diabetes. In this article, the researcher uses a literature review research method assisted by a descriptive analysis approach, to analyze the data and by describing the data that has been previously collected where the author describes data that has been obtained from various literary sources such as journals, data and others. The data obtained will be analyzed and interpreted in accordance with the objective of this research, which is to determine the application of nearest neighbor classification to detect diabetes.

Abstract

The digital era of Society 5.0 has given birth to technologies which are currently showing important developments. To present a new image of Indonesian education through implementing a curriculum that is in line with the current curriculum, this technology really needs education. To get the best results from teaching and learning activities, you need to know the current learning concepts. During the learning process, this is one of the things that attracts students' attention. Additionally, as technology advances, more and more students are using smartphones, resulting in a decreased desire for physical books among today's students. In schools that still teach computer science, learning activities still use physical books provided by the government. Students thus lose interest in learning algorithms and programming and are unable to understand the topics taught. This research uses Hannafin and Peck's research approach using Website 2 APK Build and Ispring Suite 10 as the product software. This research has produced an Android-based programming algorithm learning media product through black-box testing which shows that the product created has performance according to its intended purpose and is very good for use in the educational process.

Abstract

Algorithms and programming play a crucial role in problem solving and software development. The origin of the word "algorithm" comes from "algorism," and its history can be traced to Abu Ja'far Muhammad Ibn Musa Al-khuwarizmi. This article presents definitions of algorithms from several sources, such as Kani (2020), Jando &; Nani (2018), Munir & Lidya (2016), and Sismoro (2005). The programming algorithm, as a series of logical and systematic steps, becomes the core in Troubleshooting. The research method applied is descriptive and qualitative, by collecting information from various sources, including books, journal articles, and research reports. The discussion in this article covers the significance of algorithms in everyday life and their application in computer programming. In addition, this article details the basic concepts of algorithms, the role of programming languages, and algorithm representation techniques. In the discussion section, it was revealed that algorithms involve logical and systematic steps to solve a task or problem. The basic structure of the algorithm includes repetition, branching, and sequential order. Programming languages contribute to simplifying human interaction with computers, increasing productivity, as well as facilitating software maintenance and development. Algorithms can be represented in the form of descriptive sentences, pseudocode, or flowcharts. Flowcharts use symbols to illustrate the steps of solving a problem. Repetition, branching, and sequential structures can be clearly described through flowcharts. This article provides a comprehensive overview of algorithms and programming, giving readers insight into the basic concepts, implementation, and importance of algorithms in the context of computer programming.

Abstract

The application of information systems in the current era of digitalization is very important for data management in a company, both in the government and private sectors. This research aims to analyze and design information systems to improve the efficiency of administrative data management in the Office of the Governor of North Sumatra. With the lack of application of information systems in the Office of the Governor of North Sumatra, this research is important to support administrative processes and data processing efficiency. The research method includes interviews with related parties, observations, and direct surveys to the field to understand the administrative process of the obstacles faced. Furthermore, a website-based information system solution will be proposed that can improve the efficiency, speed and accuracy of administrative data management in the Office of the Governor of North Sumatra. The results of this research are expected to provide an in-depth description of how the implementation of the right information system can optimize administrative data management. The implementation of this solution is expected to provide significant benefits in improving administrative performance and opening up opportunities for further application of information technology in the local government environment.

Abstract

All agency employees have the right to take leave, which is one of their rights and obligations. Many companies still carry out employee leave manually. TELKOM MEDAN VOCATIONAL SCHOOL still uses letters to process employee data. To overcome this problem, an information system was created to manage employee leave. With the Website-Based Employee Leave Application Information System at TELKOM MEDAN Vocational School, designing this website consists of several stages, including interviews, data collection, and data analysis observation. Then, using UML, each component is designed and analyzed.
