Abstract

Kraton Village is one of the villages in Jember Regency, precisely in Kencong District. Kraton Village has a population of 10,534, and 1,756 of them are households. Kencong District has several villages, including (1) Kraton Village, (2) Cakru Village, (3) Paseban Village, (4) Kencong Village, and (5) Wonorejo Village. Kraton Village itself consists of several hamlets, namely (1) Krajan Hamlet, (2) Sidonganti Hamlet, (3) Muneng Hamlet, and (4) Kedunglangkap Hamlet. A brand is a name, term, sign, symbol, design, or a combination of these that is intended to identify the product or service of a person or seller and to differentiate it from competitors' products or other similar products. Understanding brand awareness. Brand awareness is the ability of consumers to recognize or remember that a brand is a member of a certain product category. So in a business, the name or label becomes as important as the identity of a product. Service activities have been completed and reported in the form of an article in January 2024. The results of the implementation of this service generally help in the process of optimizing the food business in Kraton Village, both online and conventionally. With this program, food businesses are not only invited to sell products and market them online but are also invited to create innovative, creative products that can generate consumer interest in buying these products.

Abstract

Suci Village, Panti District, is one of the villages fostered by Jember University which has very good agricultural potential. The young generation of the village needs to be given education and mentoring to become more familiar with the concept of modern agriculture and realize it in cultivation and entrepreneurship practices. The community service in Suci Village aims to train the Karang Taruna "Tunas Muda" youth to cultivate and become hydroponic vegetable entrepreneurs using the wick and NFT systems. The stages of community service include education, installation construction, cultivation practice, and evaluation. Community service is carried out for 5 months. The results of this community service are that the youth of Suci Village who are members of the training know about cultivating and becoming entrepreneurs of hydroponic vegetable products. It is hoped that this community service will be able to increase village food security and support sustainable village development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the cocoa supply chain, the added value of chocolate products, and the development strategies for the cocoa agroindustry at IPK Kelompok Tani Mulyo Jati in Mojokerto Regency to improve farmers' welfare. This research emphasizes the important role of farmer groups and agroindustries in enhancing the added value of cocoa products through effective strategies. The research method used is quantitative, with purposive sampling for respondent selection and data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using supply chain analysis, the Hayami method, and SWOT analysis. The results show that the supply chain includes product flow from farmers to consumers, financial flow from consumers to farmers, and two-way information flow related to cocoa bean care, price, quantity, quality, and the selling price of processed products. The added value of chocolate bars (10 grams) and cocoa powder (100 grams) is Rp 464,967/kg and Rp 82,667/kg, respectively. The recommended development strategy for the cocoa agroindustry is positioned in the white area of the competitive matrix, implementing the S-O strategy, which maximizes strengths and opportunities by maintaining product quality, increasing promotion, and expanding business and market reach.

Abstract

Peternakan ayam ras petelur sebagian besar merupakan pekerjaan sampingan, sehingga beberapa diantaranya belum menggunakan pembukuan keuangan dengan terperinci untuk menghitung antara biaya dan pendapatan yang diperoleh. Biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh peternak perlu dilakukan perhitungan biaya produksi, pendapatan, dan efisiensi untuk mencegah mengalami kerugian. Identifikasi biaya transaksi dinilai penting untuk keberlanjutan usaha sehingga diperlukan adanya analisis mengenai biaya transaksi dan bagaimana pengaruh biaya transaksi terhadap pendapatan usaha. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan peternakan ayam ras petelur perlu diketahui agar hasil produksi beserta pendapatan yang diperoleh maksimal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif yang terdiri dari analisis pendapatan usaha dan model transaction cost analysis (TCA). Penelitian ini juga menggunakan metode analisis regresi linier berganda untuk melihat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pendapatan peternakan ayam ras petelur. Jumlah sampel yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian adalah sebanyak 52 sampel dengan kriteria adalah masyarakat berprofesi sebagai peternak ayam ras petelur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Peternakan ayam ras petelur di Kabupaten Jember/5000 ayam menguntungkan dengan total pendapatan sebesar Rp906.662.856. R/C ratio menunjukkan nilai 1,276 yang menyimpulkan bahwa usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur di Kabupaten Jember menguntungkan dan layak untuk dijalankan. (2) Biaya transaksi peternakan ayam ras petelur di Kabupaten /5000 ayam adalah sebesar Rp13.657.551. Peternakan ayam ras petelur dengan adanya biaya transaksi akan menurunkan pendapatan karena nilai R/C ratio terdapat selisih sebesar 0,005 sehingga terjadi pengurangan pendapatan sebesar 0,5%. (3) Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan secara parsial terhadap pendapatan peternakan ayam ras petelur di Kabupaten Jember adalah variabel biaya bibit, biaya pakan, dan pengalaman beternak.

Abstract

Biopharmaceuticals play an important role in maintaining health. One of the areas in East Java as a producer of biopharmaceuticals is Bondowoso Regency. Several sub-districts in Bondowoso Regency are able to produce several types of biopharmaceutical plants and the types most produced in Bondowoso Regency are ginger and turmeric. The large amount of biopharmaceutical production in Bondowoso Regency certainly has several problems, including prices at the farmer level are relatively fluctuating, the obstacles faced by some farmers are that contracts with companies are relatively difficult, production is relatively fluctuating with uneven distribution because it has not been able to be cultivated intensively. This research was conducted in Bondowoso Regency using the LQ, Localization, Specialization, Regional Multiplier, SWOT and QSPM methods. The results of this study are that Bondowoso Regency is a biopharmaceutical base sector, ginger and turmeric commodities are spread across several areas in Bondowoso Regency and do not specialize in one area in Bondowoso Regency, biopharmaceuticals have a multiplier effect on the agricultural subsector. Some of the strategies used are maintaining and improving the quality of ginger and turmeric in order to maintain cooperation with buyers, increasing awareness of the importance of consuming herbal products, getting support from government agencies, utilizing land for the cultivation process.

Abstract

The robusta coffee plantation sector in Gombengsari Village has the potential to become a leading sector worth developing. However, the production of robusta coffee in Gombengsari has not been carried out optimally. This indicates the presence of problems that can pose production risks in robusta coffee farming. The purpose of this study is to determine the level and strategy of production risk management, as well as to identify the factors that influence the income of robusta coffee farming in Gombengsari Village, Kalipuro District, Banyuwangi Regency. The methods used by researchers are descriptive and analytical methods. The data analysis methods used are the Coefficient of Variation (CV) analysis, descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach based on Malton's theory, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that 1) The Coefficient of Variation (CV) obtained is 0.79, indicating that the level of production risk for robusta coffee experienced by farmers in Gombengsari village is high. 2) The risk management strategies employed by robusta coffee farmers in Gombengsari village include ex-ante, interactive, and ex-post management strategies. 3) The calculated F value (1247.096) ≥ F table (2.29) and the significance value of the F test in Anova ˃ 0.05 indicate that all independent variables simultaneously influence the income variable of robusta coffee farming.

Abstract

Cengkeh merupakan komoditas perkebunan yang bernilai ekspor, dimana komoditas tersebut banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku dalam industri pembuatan rokok kretek sehingga berpotensi untuk dikembangkan. Petani cengkeh di Desa Sawahan dalam melakukan usahatani mengalami beberapa permasalahan yang berpengaruh terhadap hasil produksi. Permasalahan tersebut meliputi pemupukan kurang optimal, terjadinya serangan organisme pengganggu tanaman, minimnya kebutuhan tenaga kerja dan berfluktuasinya harga jual cengkeh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap produksi, tingkat efisiensi alokatif dan mengetahui nilai return to scale yang dihasilkan dari penggunaan faktor produksi cengkeh. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan pendekatan fungsi Cobb-Douglas dan analisis efisiensi alokatif pendekatan nilai produk marginal (NMPxi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor produksi yang berpengaruh signifikan secara nyata terhadap produksi cengkeh yaitu, tenaga kerja (X5), umur tanaman (X6), dan jumlah pohon produktif (X7).  Sedangkan faktor produksi yang tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan yaitu luas lahan (X1), pupuk anorganik (X2), pupuk kandang (X3), dan pestisida (X4). Sedangkan untuk hasil analisis efisiensi alokatif usahatani cengkeh di Desa Sawahan dikatakan tidak efisien serta berada pada kondisi skala usaha increasing return to Scale.

Abstract

Raja Tape 31 agro-industry is a tape-processed agro-industry located in Nangkaan Village, Bondowoso Regency. It has a problem with decreasing sales volume due to the Covid-19 pandemic, while the price of cassava and its raw materials are getting expensive and difficult to obtain. This research aims to identify sales volume, added value, channels and marketing margins. The sampling method is purposive sampling method. Methods of data analysis using descriptive statistics, Hayami added value table, marketing channels and margins analysis. The results show that the sales volume of Raja Tape 31 Agroindustry experienced sales fluctuations and sales of dodol tape and pia tape decreased by 25-30%. The added value of processed tape products into dodol tape and pia tape at Raja Tape 31 Agroindustry provides positive added value where VA > 0. The added value of dodol tape is Rp.6,471.75/kg of raw tape and glutinous rice flour with a value added ratio of 18.34 %. Meanwhile, the added value of pia tape is Rp.46,202.61/kg of tape raw materials and wheat flour with an added value ratio of 40.62%. There are two marketing channel patterns for dodol tape and pia tape products in the Raja Tape 31 Agro-industry in Bondowoso Regency, namely: a. Marketing channel I (Level zero): Producers – Consumers. b. Marketing channel II (Level one): Producers - Retailers - Consumers. (4) The margin for marketing channel I for dodol tape is 0 and for marketing channel level II for dodol tape is Rp. 2,000 with distribution for a 45.00% profit share and 9.00% costs. The margin for marketing channel I pia tape is 0 and marketing channel II is Rp.3000 with a profit share distribution of 63.33% and costs 12.67%.

Abstract

Teknologi berkembang pesat dan merambah semua sektor termasuk sektor pertanian, meskipun sektor ini kurang terdigitalisasi di Indonesia. Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK), khususnya smartphone, menjadi penting dalam penyebaran informasi yang cepat dan akurat. Dengan smartphone, petani dapat dengan sendirinya mengakses dan mengadopsi informasi pertanian, tanpa bergantung pada penyuluh pertanian, sehingga dapat meningkatkan usahataninya. Penelitian ini menganalisis terkait karakteristik petani pada kelompok tani di Kelurahan Antirogo Kecamatan Sumbersari Kabupaten Jember dan hubungan antara karakteristik petani dengan pemanfaatan smartphone sebagai sumber informasi di Kelurahan Antirogo Kecamatan Sumbersari Kabupaten Jember. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sebanyak 65 responden menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara karakteristik petani dan pemanfaatan smartphone sebagai sumber informasi dengan dua variabel yaitu Status Kepemilikan Smartphone (X7) dan Durasi Pemakaian Smartphone (X8). Petani di Kelurahan Antirogo Kecamatan Sumbersari Kabupaten Jember sudah memanfaatkan smartphone dengan baik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan khususnya dinas pertanian untuk melakukan pendampingan dan mengarahkan petani dalam menunjang kemudahan akses informasi secara daring oleh petani.

Abstract

Porang commodity produced in several district centers in East Java province, has good quality, so it is very good to be developed optimally. However, the supply chain performance that leads to the value chain still needs to be improved to be more efficient. Data analysis methods used in this study include value chain analysis and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The objectives of this research are: (1) to identify the mapping of the Porang value chain in East Java, and (2) to analyze the level of importance of the Porang value chain actors in East Java. Based on the results of the research, mapping the porang value chain in East Java stated that the actors consisted of porang spore suppliers and saprodi providers, producers were porang farmers, traders there were collectors, and porang processors acted as industrial consumers. There are three main streams in mapping the porang value chain, namely product flow, information flow and financial flow, starting from input suppliers, farmers, traders to processors/consumers. Based on the level of interest of the actors in the AHP hierarchical analysis, it can be seen the elements in decision making on the main activities, supporting activities and stakeholder performance. In the main activity, actors with superior importance were selected which showed that the implementation of product maintenance before resale has a very strong influence on value creators. In the supporting activities selected as the leading stakeholder, which shows that the implementation of general management of the company has a very strong influence on value creators. While the performance activity, which shows that the implementation of product maintenance before resale has an above average performance.
