Abstract

Information on the number of available parking slot capacity and trip routes to the destination parking area, and motivation in choosing a parking area location are parameters that can help two-wheeled vehicle users choose the right parking area location. The three parameters that determine the accuracy of selecting a parking area location are implemented in an Internet of Things (IoT) based smart parking system. This system can provide information about the maximum number of slot capacities and the number of available slot capacities at the parking area. Two-wheeled riders are given information about which route to take to the destination parking area by utilizing the Location-Based Service (LBS). These two features are then supported by applying the gamification method to motivate two-wheeled riders to choose the right parking area. The smart parking system is tested with considered Quality of Service (QoS) parameter and black box testing. The results of testing the smart parking system produce QoS performance on the Line of Sight (LOS) test, with an average delay is 71.66 ms, average jitter is 107.59 ms, and throughput is 23 kbps. Meanwhile, in the non-LOS test, the average delay is 132.88 ms, the average jitter is 200.84 ms, and the throughput is 12 kbps. Overall system performance obtained the percentage of reliability is 99.65 %, and availability is 99.65 %. In black-box testing, LBS and gamification methods can implement according to application requirements specifications.

Abstract

In UWB-based indoor positioning, it is important to observe the ranging performance of the UWB module to prevent positioning errors. Ranging is the initial process in computing positioning. This research aims to observe the ranging accuracy and precision of the ESP32 UWB Pro with a Display module and analyze its performance in indoor positioning using TDoA and Trilateration. The ranging method was held using the SS-TWR which is the basic ranging used generally in UWB. ESP32 Pro is a module consisting of ESP32 and OLED display which is integrated with Decawave DW 1000. Analysis of 6750 ranging error data is carried out to determine the appropriate method to increase accuracy. The convergence of error ranges that occur leads to the use of regression as an error mitigation method for Decawave on the ESP32 UWB Pro with Display module. Increasing the accuracy of ranging regression can reduce the error from MAE of 79.98cm to only 5.05cm. It’s applied to positioning to obtain the accuracy and precision performance of the TDoA and Trilateration positioning.  The resulting MAE values are 7.47cm for X and 10.49cm for Y in TDoA Positioning. Meanwhile, in Trilateration, the MAE was 8.15cm for X and 8.47cm for Y. Our findings indicate that an increase in ranging accuracy with regression had an impact on positioning accuracy. However, the spread of error positioning shows that it’s still weak in precision.

Abstract

Measurement of hemoglobin levels nationally was carried out invasively using the sahli method of 27.9%. Measurement of invasive hemoglobin levels takes a long time due to the chemical analysis of patient blood samples in the blood laboratory. In general, blood sampling is done using a syringe, which can cause pain and increase the risk of spreading other diseases through needle-stick wounds. Measurement of hemoglobin levels can be done using multiwavelength oximetry technique. Therefore, in this study, a non-invasive real-time measurement system for hemoglobin levels based on the internet of things was created using the multiwavelength oximetry technique with the Extreme Gradient Boosting algorithm which is integrated with Real-time Database and an android-based information system capable of mapping users using QR Code. The test results using the RMSE parameter obtained a value of 0.801085 which indicates a high category level and an accuracy of 94.91%. The information system can display real-time measurement of hemoglobin levels with a delay of 317 ms and a throughput of 3138 bps. The results of testing the oxygen saturation functionality are 0.654% with the difference in the measurement value of the highest oxygen saturation level being 1.33% and the smallest being 0.08%.

Abstract

The Sindulang Village community faces obstacles in internet access due to uneven network infrastructure. This challenge makes it difficult for residents to obtain the latest information which is a key factor in supporting economic progress, education, and community welfare in the area. These obstacles arise due to geographical conditions that are difficult to access and suboptimal regional structures, which cause significant obstacles in resource management and accessibility. The Telkom University, PT. Tigaresi Bangun Nusaperdana, and SMK Al Amah Sindulang community service teams together overcome these obstacles by building Sindulang NetConnect as a public Wifi station as an innovative answer to provide easy internet access while accelerating the digitalization process for the Sindulang Village Community. In addition, in order to develop the Teaching Factory (TeFa) at SMK Al Amah Sindulang, an office container was implemented as a means of producing a Wifi network that can be used by students to improve their skills and experience in the networking field. This implementation was carried out in 2 stages, where the first stage was the construction of an office container and public Wifi services and in the second year a digital community space would be developed. Based on the results of the questionnaire on 30 respondents, it showed that 93.3% strongly agreed with the implementation of office containers as public Wifi stations and TeFa facilities that provide benefits for the Sindulang Village Community and students of SMK AL Amah Sindulang.

Abstract

The increasing demand for telecommunication services causes data traffic density. Therefore, in this research, the long-term evolution (LTE) network expansion was carried out using a choice of frequency bands of 700 MHz, 2100 MHz, and 2300 MHz. The analysis was carried out from the technical and economic aspects. Frequency band recommendations were obtained using the simple multi-attribute rating technique (SMART) method. This research was conducted using a case study of Semarang City. Based on the simulation results, the average of reference signal receive power (RSRP) values for frequency 700 MHz and 2300 MHz is in the very good range, while the frequency of 2100 MHz is in the good range. The signal to interference noise ratio (SINR) values for the three frequencies are in the normal category and the throughput values are in the very good category. The techno-economic calculations of the three frequencies, namely the value of internal rate of return (IRR), net present value (NPV), and payback period are included in the business category that is feasible to do. Based on the ranking results, the 700 MHz frequency is the most superior, both in terms of technical and economic aspects.

Abstract

Time series forecasting is vital for predicting trends based on historical data, enabling businesses to optimize decisions and operations. This paper evaluates forecasting models for predicting trends in simple network management protocol (SNMP)-based hypervisor data, essential for resource allocation in cloud data centers. Addressing non-stationary data and dynamic workloads, we use PyCaret to compare classical models like autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) with advanced methods such as auto ARIMA. We assess 30 models on metrics including CPU utilization, memory usage, and disk reads, using synthetic and real-time datasets. Results show the naive forecaster model excels in CPU and disk read predictions, achieving low root mean squared errors (RMSE) of 0.71 and 869,403.35 for monthly and daily datasets. For memory usage predictions, gradient boosting with conditional deseasonalisation and detrending outperforms others, recording the lowest RMSE of 679,917.6 and mean absolute scaled error (MASE) of 4.46 on weekly datasets. Gradient boosting consistently improves accuracy across metrics and datasets, especially for complex patterns with seasonality and trends. These findings suggest integrating gradient boosting and naive forecaster models into cloud system architectures can enhance service quality and operational efficiency through improved predictive accuracy and resource management.

Abstract

The increase in population impacts several environmental sectors, particularly the use of natural gas energy for household needs, such as LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). This has resulted in the depletion of natural gas reserves and a rise in LPG imports. Additionally, the growing population contributes to the accumulation of household waste, which can lead to excessive leachate production and greenhouse gas emissions. This issue is particularly concerning in developing countries like Indonesia due to its negative environmental impact. This research aims to provide a solution and contribute to reducing household waste accumulation by utilizing organic waste to create renewable energy in the form of biogas as an alternative to LPG. Biogas is produced through the fermentation of organic waste. Nutrient-rich fluids containing sugar can enhance the performance of methanogenic bacteria in biogas formation. In this study, we conducted nutritional testing on molasses and coconut water to determine which nutrients optimize biogas production efficiency by monitoring the pressure of the generated biogas. Generally, biogas comprises methane and carbon dioxide. It is important to note that excessive methane can lead to explosions, while high carbon dioxide levels contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. The quantities of methane and carbon dioxide produced during biogas generation can be influenced by temperature and humidity. Therefore, monitoring pressure, temperature, humidity, methane, and carbon dioxide levels in the biogas production process using the Internet of Things (IoT) is a prudent approach. The results indicate that a substrate mixed with molasses produces biogas at twice the pressure compared to coconut water. Furthermore, optimal biogas production with ideal methane and carbon dioxide levels, occurs at temperatures between 25-35°C under high humidity conditions. This suggests that mesophilic methanogenic bacteria thrive in tropical climates.
