Abstract

School has a direct influence to engraft preparedness to students in the knowledge and morality of facing flood disaster. The purposes of this study are to find (1) the difference between the flood disaster preparedness of students who are taught using a mind map learning model, problem solving, and direct instructional model, (2) the difference between the flood disaster preparedness of students who are taught using a mind map and problem solving model, (3) the difference between the flood disaster preparedness of students who are taught using a mind map anddirect instructional model, and (4) the difference between the flood disaster preparedness of students who are taught using a problem solving model anddirect instructional model. This study used a quasi-experimental method with 3 x 2 factorial design. The data analysis process used one-way Anova. From the inferential analysis, we found that: (1) There is a difference significant flood disaster preparedness between students who are taught using a mind map learning model, problem solving, and direct instructional model. Abstract

Distance learning that occurred during the Covid-19 period caused problems. Learning geography, which should provide a good quality of spatial thinking, finally gets a problem. Multimedia learning is a representation tool needed in online learning. These conditions improve students' spatial thinking skills by applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The development of the learning multimedia uses a 4-D (Four-D) product development model consisting of the phases: define, design, development, and dissemination. Assessment parameter evaluation improves students' spatial thinking skills, considering comparing values between the experimental and control classes using the Independent Sample T-test = 0.05. The results of this study are that GIS-based learning multimedia is feasible to use with the validity test and trial being a score of 4 or is effectively used to improve students' spatial thinking skills with the result = 5,850 > T-table (2,035).

The sample used was flood-affected communities in each village by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using survey methods. Data collection was carried out by questionnaire and interview. Data analysis uses scorring techniques. The results of the study are as follows. (1) Resilience of the Trucuk Subdistrict community against flooding has moderate resilience (52.86 - 62.38) and high resilience (65.89 - 75.13). the distribution of resilience is moderate namely there are 6 villages consisting of the village of Kandangan, Sumbang cucumber, Kanten, Pagerwesi, Padang, and Guyangan. For high resilience there are 6 villages consisting of Sumberjo, Mori, Tulungrejo, Trucuk, Sranak, and Banjarsari villages. (2) Adaptation strategies undertaken by the Trucuk District community in dealing with floods are physical and non-physical adaptations. The physical adaptation carried out by the community and the government is to improve physical conditions, such as elevating houses, repairing irrigation networks, building dams, and building embankments along rivers. Non-physical adaptation carried out by the community and the government is the existence of an early warning system in detecting the danger of flooding and community preparedness in dealing with floods, such as mutual cooperation and mutual assistance in all matters before and after the flood. (3) efforts to improve resilience and adaptation to flood disasters.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study are knowing the shallow groundwater flow patterns and characteristics in the Sangiran Dome. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, carried out with survey methods that are analyzed with spatial approach. Unit analysis of this studied is the landform unit the result of a overlay between the Geological’s Map,  Genesis’s Process, and Slope’s Map, the result is 15 landform units. Data analysis techniques is to determine the pattern of shallow groundwater flow using the three point problem method. Data analysis is to determine the characteristics of groundwater by using the parameters of power oh Hydrogen (pH), temperature, and Electrical Conductivity (DHL). The results of this study are the shallow groundwater flow patterns in the Sangiran Dome are concentrated in the Kalibeng Formation, the diffuse flow patterns are in the Pucangan Formation and irregular flow patterns are found in Kabuh Formation and Noropuro. The characteristics of shallow groundwater in the Sangiran Dome, based on pH. Neutral classification are found in the Notopuro Formation, the lower Pucangan Formation; base pH classification found in Kabuh Formation, upper Pucangan Formation, and Kalibeng Formation; acidic pH classification is found in the Notopuro Formation. The low DHL classification is found in Notopuro Formation, Kabuh Formation, and Pucangan Formation while the moderate DHL classification is in the Kalibeng Formation.
