Abstract

Excretory system material is one of the materials that is difficult to understand the concept because it has a lot of memorization, terms, and mechanisms. Excretory system material is less preferred and tends to be boring because it requires students to memorize terminology and Latin language to introduce organs involved in the human excretion process. The use of learning media integrated with AR technology can be an effective solution in improving learning. Through this technology, various abstract concepts that are usually invisible can be displayed in 3D or 2D, making them appear more real. This study aims to assess the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of AR-based learning media on human excretory system material to improve HOTS and digital literacy of grade VIII junior high school students. This research uses the ADDIE development model with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study used control and experimental classes with a total sample of 140 students. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests of digital literacy and HOTS. Data analysis included descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that AR media was feasible, with media and material expert assessments based on the Aiken index of 0.909 and 0.835. Practicality scores from teachers and students received scores of 90.62% and 91.12%. N-Gain test showed a substantial increase, and the one-way manova test showed statistical significance (p < 0.05). The AR media developed has met the values of feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in improving digital literacy and HOTS.

Abstract

The study aimed to calculate hierarchy score on concept map (CM) by applying questions as instructional technique in presenting theoretical background to class and discussion about the issue of project based learning. The subjects were 35 high school students. Research is a classroom action research with research procedure includes: planning for preparing RPP and its completeness, execution on action activity, observation to calculate hierarchy CM score and reflection for next action. Triangulation validation tests include: verification of conformity of CM hierarchy scores and documentation by expert hierarchy of CM and interviews to represent mastery of concept classification. Reduction to select data completeness, data presentation and conclusion based on complete hierarchy data. Data analysis with qualitative descriptive. The results showed hierarchy scores based on expert hierarchy of CM on prasiklus scored below 25.71% on average of total students, while cycle I and cycle II fell to 11.43% and 0%. Above average hierarchy score on prasiklus was obtained at 11.43%, while cycle I went down to 0% and cycle II was obtained 48.57% improvement, thus question as instructional technique in presenting theoretical background to class and discussion about the issue project based learning increasing the hierarchy CM scores both individual and classical

Abstract

 Characteristics of seeds such as seed shape, color, size, texture of the seed coats and  hilum shape can be used to solve classification problems. With biology microskop  observations obtained under specification of character seeds for 12 species of  Indigofera  from Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. The results showed that the pattern of seed coat ornamentation, hilum, seed shape may help in the identification of the species..

Abstract

Manongkah Kerang merupakan kearifan lokal dari suku Duano di kabupaten Indragiri Hilir provinsi Riau yang dilakukan sebagai  proses menangkap kerang di padang lumpur ketika air sungai surut dengan menggunakan alas sebilah papan yang berguna sebagai tumpuan kaki untuk berseluncur sementara kaki yang lains sebagai pendorong. Manongkah kerang mengandung nilai-nilai pengetahuan lokal yang dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA). Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana praktik manongkah kerang oleh Suku Duano dapat diintegrasikan sebagai sumber belajar IPA yang efektif. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode tinjauan literatur digunakan untuk memberikan deskripsi aktivitas manongkah kerang, nilai-nilai etnosains yang terkandung di dalamnya, dan strategi integrasinya dalam kurikulum IPA. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa menongkah kerang memiliki muatan konsep IPA dan nilai konservasi ekosistem. Konsep IPA yang terkadung dalam manongkah kerang dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran IPA terpadu maupun dalam pembelajaran biologi, fisika, dan kimia secara terpisah. Guru dapat pula melaksanakan pembelajaran IPA berbasis field study dengan pendekatan lingkungan. Selain itu, pendekatan berbasis proyek, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, pembelajaran berbasis tempat, integrasi pengetahuan lokal dengan kurikulum modern, dan penggunaan teknologi adalah beberapa strategi yang efektif untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran dengan kearifan lokal ini.

Abstract

Industri batik merupakan sektor ekonomi kreatif yang berperan penting dalam pelestarian budaya dan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Namun, ketergantungan pada pewarna sintetis masih menjadi kendala utama bagi UKM batik karena keterbatasan pasokan pewarna alami yang berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian UKM Puspita Batik Yogyakarta dalam penyediaan bahan baku pewarna alami melalui penerapan budidaya Marsdenia tinctoria sebagai sumber indigo alami yang adaptif terhadap lahan kering. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui tiga tahapan utama: diagnosis partisipatif, implementasi teknologi, dan penguatan kapabilitas mitra. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tingkat keberhasilan hidup tanaman mencapai 87% dengan pertumbuhan vegetatif rata-rata 4,2 cm per minggu. Penerapan sistem irigasi sprinkler hemat air meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air hingga 40% dan menekan biaya perawatan lahan. Pelatihan teknis yang diberikan meningkatkan kompetensi mitra dalam pembibitan, perawatan, dan pengolahan daun menjadi pasta indigo dengan kualitas warna biru keunguan stabil. Selain meningkatkan efisiensi dan kemandirian bahan baku, program ini juga memperkuat pemberdayaan sosial ekonomi masyarakat, terutama keterlibatan perempuan dalam rantai produksi pewarna alami. Implementasi budidaya M. tinctoria terbukti mendukung prinsip produksi berkelanjutan dan menjadi model dalam pengembangan pewarna alami ramah lingkungan bagi UKM batik di wilayah lahan kering.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the initial effectiveness of an electronic module focused on Environmental Conservation material in improving students' Science Process Skills (SPS). This e-module was created using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model and has been validated by experts. A medium-scale trial was conducted with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 25 students from the upper grades. Data related to SPS were collected using pretest and posttest test instruments, then analyzed using the N-gain analysis method to measure the progress experienced in each SPS indicator. The results of the N-gain analysis showed that this e-module was significantly able to improve students' SPS skills. High increases (N-gain ≥ 0.7) were seen in the indicators "Observing" (0.7), "Concluding" (0.8), and "Communicating" (0.7). Meanwhile, the indicators "Using space/time relationships" (0.6), "Measuring" (0.5), "Classifying" (0.6), and "Predicting" (0.5) showed an increase in the medium category (0.3 < N-gain < 0.7) and tended to be high. These results indicate that electronic modules are very efficient in improving students' KPS, making them a viable learning resource and have the potential to be applied more widely.
