Abstract

Science process skills are very important for students to apply scientific methods and develop knowledge in order to gain new knowledge or enrich existing knowledge. Science process skills can be facilitated through learning with a Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. This research aims to identify and analyze research trends of PjBL model to improve science process skill in science learning. This research method is descriptive and analytical. The data used in this research was obtained from documents indexed by Google Scholar from 2015-2024 using Publish or Perish and Dimension.ai. Research procedures use PRISMA guidelines. The data identified and analyzed are the type of publication, publication source, and the title of research on PjBL model to improve science process skill in science learning that is widely cited. The data analysis method uses bibliometric analysis assisted by VOS viewer software. The results of the analysis show that research trend on PjBL model to improve science process skill in science learning indexed by Google Scholar from 2015 to 2024 has experienced a fluctuating increase. However, in 2024 there will be a decline in the research trend on it. There are many documents in the form of articles, proceedings, chapters, preprints and edited books that discuss research into the PjBL model to improve science process skill in science learning. Key words that are often used in research about it are local wisdom, inquiry model, PBL, scientific attitude, etc.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the discovery learning model on reducing students' misconceptions about renewable energy. The research design is a quasi-experimental design with two sample classes selected using cluster random sampling, namely class X-2 as the experimental class and X-3 as the control class. The instrument used was a five-tier diagnostic test consisting of 20 questions that had been validated by validators and pilot-tested on students. The results showed that the average misconception rate among students in the experimental class before the intervention was 44.33%, and after the intervention, the average misconception rate was 24.53%. Thus, there was a 19.8% decrease in misconceptions in the experimental class. Meanwhile, in the control class, the average misconception rate of students before the treatment was 42.33%, and after the treatment, the average misconception rate of students was 31.17%, resulting in an 11.6% decrease in misconceptions. Based on the results of the one-tailed t-test on the posttest data, the tvalue was 12.0196, which was far greater than the ttable value of 2.000, so Ha was accepted. This shows that the discovery learning model has a significant effect in reducing misconceptions in renewable energy material compared to conventional learning.

Abstract

Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan pengaruh strategi pembelajaran PBL terhadap kemampuan konseptual siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 19 Palu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi empiris dengan teknik quasi-eksperimental dan desain kelompok kontrol, yang mencakup tes pra dan pasca. Peserta penelitian berasal dari kelas VIII, dengan Kelas VIII C ditugaskan ke kondisi perlakuan (PBL) dan Kelas VIII A sebagai kelompok kontrol/perbandingan. Alat pengumpulan data meliputi ujian esai, materi pembelajaran, dan formulir pemantauan. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik inferensi statistik dengan asumsi keseragaman dan normalitas distribusi data. Prosedur parametrik statistik dilakukan dengan SPSS versi 30 untuk sistem operasi Windows. Hasil dari Independent Sample Test menunjukkan nilai p-value 0,044 < 0,05. Oleh karena itu, H0 ditolak sedangkan Ha diterima. Kesimpulan ini mendapat dukungan tambahan dari hasil analisis gain ternormalisasi, di mana kelas perlakuan mencapai skor g = 0,67 (klasifikasi sedang) dengan peningkatan sebesar 67,55%, sedangkan kelas pembanding memperoleh skor g = 0,61 (klasifikasi sedang) yang menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 61,93%.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis rancangan alat ukur berbasis indeks bias sebagai upaya pengembangan pembelajaran fisika di tingkat SMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis rancangan alat praktikum sederhana yang berlandaskan Hukum Snellius serta mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) sebagai media pembelajaran kontekstual. Rancangan alat dikembangkan menggunakan komponen sederhana yang mudah dijumpai di lingkungan sekitar dan dapat diaplikasikan di laboratorium sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuantitatif dengan menguji kemampuan alat dalam mengukur indeks bias zat cair, khususnya minyak goreng, sebagai representasi penerapan konsep optika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat validitas sangat tinggi (96,87%) dan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Selain itu, LKPD hasil pengembangan memperoleh kategori sangat valid dengan skor 85%. Penggunaan alat dan LKPD ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual siswa terhadap pembiasan cahaya secara aplikatif, memperkuat keterampilan ilmiah, menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta mendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran fisika berbasis eksperimen dan kontekstual di SMA.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to develop and assess the impact of Wizer E-LKPD on the problem-solving skills and ecological attitudes of 28 VIIC class students at SMP Negeri 1 Wita Ponda. The study employed the ADDIE model as its research framework and utilized a one-group pretest-posttest design with purposive sampling. The research instruments included validation sheets, response questionnaires completed by teachers and students, tests of problem-solving abilities, and an ecological attitude questionnaire. The findings indicated that Wizer E-LKPD was highly valid, with an average rating of 94.12%. The results demonstrated that the Wizer E-LKPD effectively enhanced problem-solving skills, achieving a medium effect size of 0.65, and improved ecological attitudes with a simple effect size of 0.30. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Wizer E-LKPD is a valid, practical, and effective tool for improving students' problem-solving abilities and fostering ecological attitudes in science learning at SMP Negeri 1 Wita Ponda.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi dosen Akademi Bina Farmasi Palu adalah keterbatasan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam mengelola referensi ilmiah secara sistematis menggunakan perangkat lunak manajemen referensi. Kondisi ini menyebabkan proses penulisan artikel ilmiah menjadi kurang efisien, terutama dalam pengelolaan sitasi dan penyusunan daftar pustaka sesuai standar penulisan ilmiah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dosen dalam memanfaatkan perangkat lunak manajemen referensi guna mendukung penyusunan artikel ilmiah yang berkualitas. Mitra kegiatan adalah dosen Akademi Bina Farmasi Palu. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan dan bimbingan teknis yang dilaksanakan secara langsung melalui presentasi materi dan praktik penggunaan aplikasi manajemen referensi seperti Mendeley dan Zotero. Materi pelatihan meliputi pengenalan perangkat lunak manajemen referensi, teknik pelacakan sumber literatur dari basis data ilmiah, pengelolaan sitasi otomatis, serta integrasi perangkat lunak manajemen referensi dengan perangkat pengolah kata. Kegiatan juga dilengkapi dengan sesi pendampingan teknis untuk membantu peserta mengatasi kendala dalam penggunaan aplikasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengelola pustaka digital, melakukan sitasi secara otomatis, serta menyusun daftar pustaka sesuai gaya penulisan ilmiah. Peserta juga menunjukkan kemampuan yang lebih baik dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi manajemen referensi untuk mendukung proses penulisan artikel ilmiah. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pelatihan ini berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas penulisan ilmiah dosen serta mendukung penguatan budaya publikasi akademik di Akademi Bina Farmasi Palu.

Abstract

Eco-pedagogy is an educational approach that places emphasis on the relationship between humans and the natural world, and encourages the undertaking of practical actions for the benefit of environmental sustainability. The objective of this study is to enhance students' environmental literacy and creative thinking abilities through the Earth and Space Science (ESS) integrated eco-pedagogy (EcoP) modules. This research is development research (R & D) using 4-D model by Thiagarajan. The research subjects were 22 prospective physics teacher students. Data on environmental literacy and creative thinking skills were collected through pre-test and post-test by using the environmental literacy test and creative thinking skills questionnaire. The results demonstrated that the implementation of the validated ESS-EcoP module integrated with eco-pedagogy can markedly enhance 65.05% students' environmental literacy and 55.49% students’ creative thinking skills. This research is anticipated to contribute to the advancement of innovative learning models that can augment students' awareness and concern for the environment.

Abstract

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) faces significant challenges in the context of Generation Z. This study aims to examine the perceptions of Christian students regarding the relevance of the Great Commission in the Generation Z environment. A survey was conducted among 101 Christian students aged 18-24. The data was collected using a questionnaire with three indicators of the perception of the Great Commission's relevance: understanding, application, and influence. Each indicator consists of 10 questions with four options in the form of a Likert scale. The results indicate that there is a stronger understanding of the Great Commission than its application and influence in Gen Z's life. The study's findings indicate that while there is a robust theological grasp of the Great Commission, the primary challenge lies in its practical implementation to enhance its influence on Gen Z. To address this challenge, churches and educational institutions must adapt to the digital lifestyle of Gen Z.
