Abstract

Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi dosen Akademi Bina Farmasi Palu adalah keterbatasan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam mengelola referensi ilmiah secara sistematis menggunakan perangkat lunak manajemen referensi. Kondisi ini menyebabkan proses penulisan artikel ilmiah menjadi kurang efisien, terutama dalam pengelolaan sitasi dan penyusunan daftar pustaka sesuai standar penulisan ilmiah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dosen dalam memanfaatkan perangkat lunak manajemen referensi guna mendukung penyusunan artikel ilmiah yang berkualitas. Mitra kegiatan adalah dosen Akademi Bina Farmasi Palu. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan dan bimbingan teknis yang dilaksanakan secara langsung melalui presentasi materi dan praktik penggunaan aplikasi manajemen referensi seperti Mendeley dan Zotero. Materi pelatihan meliputi pengenalan perangkat lunak manajemen referensi, teknik pelacakan sumber literatur dari basis data ilmiah, pengelolaan sitasi otomatis, serta integrasi perangkat lunak manajemen referensi dengan perangkat pengolah kata. Kegiatan juga dilengkapi dengan sesi pendampingan teknis untuk membantu peserta mengatasi kendala dalam penggunaan aplikasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengelola pustaka digital, melakukan sitasi secara otomatis, serta menyusun daftar pustaka sesuai gaya penulisan ilmiah. Peserta juga menunjukkan kemampuan yang lebih baik dalam memanfaatkan aplikasi manajemen referensi untuk mendukung proses penulisan artikel ilmiah. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pelatihan ini berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas penulisan ilmiah dosen serta mendukung penguatan budaya publikasi akademik di Akademi Bina Farmasi Palu.

Abstract

The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) faces significant challenges in the context of Generation Z. This study aims to examine the perceptions of Christian students regarding the relevance of the Great Commission in the Generation Z environment. A survey was conducted among 101 Christian students aged 18-24. The data was collected using a questionnaire with three indicators of the perception of the Great Commission's relevance: understanding, application, and influence. Each indicator consists of 10 questions with four options in the form of a Likert scale. The results indicate that there is a stronger understanding of the Great Commission than its application and influence in Gen Z's life. The study's findings indicate that while there is a robust theological grasp of the Great Commission, the primary challenge lies in its practical implementation to enhance its influence on Gen Z. To address this challenge, churches and educational institutions must adapt to the digital lifestyle of Gen Z.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Earth and Space Science modules integrated with eco-pedagogy and science literacy (IPBA-EcoLisa) in improving students’ logical and critical thinking skills. A pre-test–post-test design was employed with 43 prospective physics teacher students. Data were collected using validated instruments measuring logical and critical thinking abilities and analyzed using N-Gain scores. The results indicate a moderate improvement in logical thinking skills (N-Gain = 0.36), particularly in students’ ability to apply patterns and rules to predict Earth and Space Science issues. Critical thinking skills demonstrated a significant improvement (N-Gain = 0.52), with the most notable gains observed in the Basic Support and Basic Clarification indicators. These findings suggest that integrating eco-pedagogy and science literacy within IPBA learning effectively strengthens higher-order thinking skills while fostering environmental awareness. In conclusion, the IPBA-EcoLisa module represents a promising instructional approach for supporting sustainable science education and enhancing essential cognitive competencies in physics education students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi etnosains pada Masyarakat Asli Kecamatan Lore Utara sebagai sumber belajar fisika menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam kepada 2 Tokoh Adat, 2 Masyarakat, dan 5 Guru IPA/Fisika, serta dokumentasi. Penelitian berfokus pada unsur budaya lokal seperti alat musik tradisional (gendang/kanda dan suling/tulali), tarian daerah (tarian dondi), dan rumah adat (Sou tambi), yang dikaji berdasarkan kesesuaian nilai etnosains terhadap konsep IPA SMP dan Fisika SMA. Hasil penelitian kesesuaian etnosains dengan konsep fisika SMA/IPA SMP menunjukkan unsur budaya lokal berkaitan langsung dengan konsep getaran dan gelombang, resonansi, gaya dan gerak, Hukum Newton, Hukum Hooke Dan Elastisitas, Prinsip Bernoulli, tekanan serta perpindahan kalor. Berdasarkan penilaian tingkat potensi etnosains Kecamatan Lore Utara sebagai sumber belajar Fisika SMA/IPA SMP meliputi kriteria: relevansi kontekstual, keterkaitan dengan konsep fisika SMA/IPA SMP, nilai edukatif, ketersediaan dan keterjangkauan, kesesuaian kurikulum, serta potensi pengembangan media/modul menunjukkan budaya lokal masyarakat Lore Utara memperoleh rentang skor rata-rata 8,75-10,75 dengan tingkat Berpotensi-Sangat Berpotensi. Sehingga, budaya lokal masyarakat Lore Utara berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar yang tidak hanya memperkuat pemahaman konsep fisika, tetapi juga mendukung pelestarian budaya, peningkatan kualitas pendidikan berbasis lingkungan serta karakter lokal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sikap ekologis 25 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pasangkayu, yang terdiri dari 17 laki-laki dan 8 perempuan, terhadap materi pemanasan global. Sikap ekologis dipahami sebagai bentuk kepedulian siswa terhadap isu-isu lingkungan yang ditunjukkan melalui ranah afektif berdasarkan taksonomi Bloom. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket sikap ekologis dan wawancara. Instrumen angket terdiri atas 30 pernyataan skala Likert yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif berdasarkan persentase skor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap ekologis siswa adalah cukup baik dengan skor 65,73%. Berdasarkan indikator, skor tertinggi adalah penerimaan (77,50%) dan terendah adalah karakterisasi (56,50%). Berdasarkan gender, skor siswa perempuan lebih tinggi (68.13%) dibandingkan dengan siswa laki-laki (64.95%). Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya meningkatkan sikap ekologis siswa yang lebih baik melalui pembelajaran holistik tanpa membedakan peran laki-laki dan perempuan.  Diharapkan guru menggunakan pendekatan ekopedagogi dalam menguatkan pembentukan karakter ekologis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop learning media for passive electronic components assisted by Livewire simulator to increase student creativity in basic electronics material. This research was conducted in the Physics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Development research time for 8 months. The subjects of this research are physics education students who program basic electronics courses. The measured change is the validation value of learning media development from expert respondents and students. To increase student creativity is measured through a creativity questionnaire. This research is a type of research and development or known as Research and Development (R&D). This research uses several stages of research: (1) Potential and problems; (2) Data collection; (3) Product design; (4) Design validation; (5) Design revision; (6) Product trial; (7) Product revision; (8) Usage trial; (9) Product revision; and (10) Mass production. From the results of the study, the N-gain value of the pretest and posttest data was 0.47 or N-gain in the medium category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the development of used electronic component media can increase student creativity on the subject of basic electronics

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop Discovery Learning-based Learner Worksheets (LKPD) using the ADDIE model with the objective of enhancing the science process skills and environmental literacy of secondary school students. This research employs a one-group pretest-posttest design within the context of a research and development (R&D) project conducted in class VII of SMP Negeri 2 Bungku, comprising 29 students, of whom 13 are male and 16 are female. The research instruments included validation sheets, Discovery Learning-based learner worksheets, observation sheets for science process skills, environmental literacy tests, and questionnaires for teachers and students regarding their responses to the product. The results demonstrated the validity of this development, with a score of 88%, a figure that was additionally supported by the teacher response score, which fell within the "very practical" category. The product of this development has a positive effect on students' science process skills, with an N-gain of 0.60 in the moderate category, indicating a significant improvement. The effect size of 0.47 in the moderate category indicates that this improvement is very significant. Furthermore, the development results had a significant impact on students' environmental literacy, with an N-gain of 0.35 in the medium category. The effect size of environmental literacy was 0.47 in the medium category.

Abstract

Science process skills are very important for students to apply scientific methods and develop knowledge in order to gain new knowledge or enrich existing knowledge. Science process skills can be facilitated through learning with a Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. This research aims to identify and analyze research trends of PjBL model to improve science process skill in science learning. This research method is descriptive and analytical. The data used in this research was obtained from documents indexed by Google Scholar from 2015-2024 using Publish or Perish and Dimension.ai. Research procedures use PRISMA guidelines. The data identified and analyzed are the type of publication, publication source, and the title of research on PjBL model to improve science process skill in science learning that is widely cited. The data analysis method uses bibliometric analysis assisted by VOS viewer software. The results of the analysis show that research trend on PjBL model to improve science process skill in science learning indexed by Google Scholar from 2015 to 2024 has experienced a fluctuating increase. However, in 2024 there will be a decline in the research trend on it. There are many documents in the form of articles, proceedings, chapters, preprints and edited books that discuss research into the PjBL model to improve science process skill in science learning. Key words that are often used in research about it are local wisdom, inquiry model, PBL, scientific attitude, etc.

Abstract

Eco-pedagogy is an educational approach that places emphasis on the relationship between humans and the natural world, and encourages the undertaking of practical actions for the benefit of environmental sustainability. The objective of this study is to enhance students' environmental literacy and creative thinking abilities through the Earth and Space Science (ESS) integrated eco-pedagogy (EcoP) modules. This research is development research (R & D) using 4-D model by Thiagarajan. The research subjects were 22 prospective physics teacher students. Data on environmental literacy and creative thinking skills were collected through pre-test and post-test by using the environmental literacy test and creative thinking skills questionnaire. The results demonstrated that the implementation of the validated ESS-EcoP module integrated with eco-pedagogy can markedly enhance 65.05% students' environmental literacy and 55.49% students’ creative thinking skills. This research is anticipated to contribute to the advancement of innovative learning models that can augment students' awareness and concern for the environment.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to assess the environmental literacy of students at SDN Rogo, Dolo Selatan, Central Sulawesi, and its relationship with their flood disaster mitigation skills. A quantitative descriptive approach was used, with total sampling of all upper-grade students. Data were collected through a questionnaire evaluating students' understanding and attitudes toward flood disasters. Environmental literacy was measured using four indicators: ecological knowledge, cognitive skills, environmental affect, and pro-environmental behavior. These indicators reflect students' understanding of ecological concepts, analytical abilities regarding environmental issues, emotional awareness, and participation in sustainability practices. The findings show that students scored 78.85 percent in ecological knowledge, 76.34 percent in cognitive skills, 77.30 percent in environmental affect, and 78.13 percent in pro-environmental behavior, resulting in an overall environmental literacy score of 77.08 percent, categorized as good. These results indicate that students have a strong foundation in environmental understanding and are actively engaged in sustainable practices. Their cognitive and behavioral skills contribute to disaster risk reduction through informed decision-making and preventive actions. However, the study is limited to a single school context and relies on self-reported data, which may introduce response bias. Future research should involve broader samples and observational methods to improve the validity of the findings. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai literasi lingkungan siswa di SDN Rogo, Dolo Selatan, Sulawesi Tengah, dan kaitannya dengan kemampuan mitigasi bencana banjir mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sampling total mencakup semua siswa kelas tinggi. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengevaluasi pemahaman dan sikap siswa terhadap bencana banjir. Literasi lingkungan diukur menggunakan empat indikator: pengetahuan ekologi, keterampilan kognitif, afeksi lingkungan, dan perilaku pro-lingkungan. Indikator-indikator ini mencerminkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep ekologi, kemampuan analitis terkait isu lingkungan, kesadaran emosional, dan partisipasi dalam praktik keberlanjutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memperoleh skor 78,85 persen dalam pengetahuan ekologi, 76,34 persen dalam keterampilan kognitif, 77,30 persen dalam afeksi terhadap lingkungan, dan 78,13 persen dalam perilaku pro-lingkungan, dengan skor literasi lingkungan keseluruhan sebesar 77,08 persen, yang dikategorikan sebagai baik. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki dasar yang kuat dalam pemahaman lingkungan dan aktif terlibat dalam praktik berkelanjutan. Keterampilan kognitif dan perilaku mereka berkontribusi pada pengurangan risiko bencana melalui pengambilan keputusan yang terinformasi dan tindakan pencegahan. Namun, studi ini terbatas pada konteks satu sekolah dan bergantung pada data yang dilaporkan sendiri, yang dapat menimbulkan bias respon. Penelitian selanjutnya sebaiknya dapat melibatkan sampel yang lebih luas dan metode observasional untuk meningkatkan validitas temuan.
