Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: The inability of adolescents to control themselves causes adolescents to have low self-regulation and causes several serious problems such as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), disability and death in adolescents. This review study aimed to identify the role of self-regulation as an effort to prevent sexual behavior in adolescents. Method: A systematic review using 4 databases (Scopus, ScienceDirect, PubMed and Web of Science) published in the last 6 years (2017-2022). Results: Eight articles were selected in the final review. All articles mention the role of self-regulation in adolescents. The role is to control themselves, the environment and behavior so that adolescents who have good self-regulation will be able to prevent sexual behavior. Conclusion: Self-regulation is an individual's ability to regulate emotions, thoughts and behavior to achieve a goal. Adolescents who have higher self-regulation and greater growth of self-regulation will decrease the likelihood of engaging in sexual risk-taking behavior in young adulthood

Abstract

Introduction: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) can attack anyone, including those who have human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) due to low immune systems. This study aimed to evaluate the final condition of people living with human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) (PLWHA) who received treatment at the hospital. Methods: A literature investigation of the last three years (2020-2022) were inquired. Electronic databases (Science Direct, Scopus, ProQuest) with case series or case report designs were examined. The titles, abstracts, and full texts were screened to obtain relevant studies. Data tabulation and narrative analysis were conducted, resulting in 14 studies that met the inclusion criteria. Most of them were case series and case report methods. Each study had different numbers of patients and criteria discussing COVID-19 infection in HIV patients. Results: A total of 14 reviewed studies revealed that HIV patients with COVID-19 could recover from the infection if proper treatments were performed. Some articles also stated that self-isolation at home can manage HIV-infected patients who are not yet severe. In the case of patients with severe infections, intensive care is performed using supplemental oxygen or a ventilator to prevent respiratory failure or acute respiratory distress. Conclusion: COVID-19 can worsen the condition of patients with HIV if not appropriately treated. Otherwise, if the proper treatment is properly performed, it can cure the infection.

Abstract

Integrated patient progress record (IPPR) documentation shows that it is still not 100% complete and needs improvement. The aim of the research is to develop a model of nurse behavior based on work productivity and the informational motivation behavioral skills on IPPR documentation compliance. Phase 1 research used explanatory research with a cross sectional approach on 155 nurses at Blambangan Hospital, Banyuwangi who were recruited using cluster random sampling. Independent variables: organizational characteristics, nurse characteristics, work characteristics, information skills, social motivation, documentation behavior and the dependent variable is documentation compliance. The instrument is an instrument that was modified by the researcher and has first been tested and declared valid and reliable. Analysis of research data using SEM-PLS. Phase 2 research uses a qualitative design in the preparation of modules through FGD and expert consultation. Phase 1 research shows that the outer model construct validity of all indicators is valid with loading factor values ≥ 0.5. Reliability for all indicators shows reliability with Cronbach's alpha > 0.6. Hypothesis testing showed that all were significant, only the influence of work characteristics on nurse characteristics was not significant. The results of the phase 2 research module are based on recommendations from FGDs and expert consultations. During model development, the strongest path in combining the two theories is the nurse characteristics path through the work productivity and IMBS-based documentation behavior path and towards IPPR documentation compliance. So, it is very important to emphasize that in increasing nurses' compliance in carrying out IPPR nursing documentation, it is necessary to improve nurses' self-efficacy by increasing the knowledge, abilities, attitudes, personality, self-perception, beliefs and hopes that exist within nurses.
