Abstract

This study explores the importance of providing appropriate complementary foods in preventing stunting during the transition period from exclusive breastfeeding to complementary foods. This research uses a literature review method with electronic databases and websites, namely Ebsco, Scopus, Proquest, and PubMed. The study's results showed that intensive complementary feeding during the first 1000 days of life effectively prevented stunting. This research highlights the combination of Behavior Change Communication (BCC) interventions and education for mothers and families as critical factors for success in preventing stunting. This research recommends the importance of varying complementary food choices adapted to the living environment's characteristics during the first 1000 days of life, as well as the role of health workers in providing BCC in the community. The conclusion is that intensive complementary feeding during the first 1000 days of life, supported by BCC and education interventions, as well as a variety of food choices that are appropriate to the environment, is effective in preventing stunting. Abstract

This research aims to determine whether increased knowledge and changes in disaster preparedness behavior can be formed properly through a comprehensive education process that has a long and sustainable impact. The effectiveness of the learning approach through the disaster curriculum method in schools can optimize educational outcomes from the disaster preparedness curriculum. The method used in this research is cross sectional with a total percentage of 67%, then Quasi-Experiment 27% and Experiment 6%. The results of the research show that the influence of the Disaster Safe Education Unit Program on Disaster Preparedness Education can be seen from the results of the analysis of studies in Indonesia showing that Disaster safety education unit education significantly increases students' knowledge, attitudes and actions in dealing with earthquakes and that this program can certainly increase students' knowledge, metacognitive awareness, safety behavior and general well-being regarding earthquakes. The overall conclusion of this research is that the Disaster Safe Education Unit program has had a significant positive impact on students' preparedness for earthquakes. Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of digitization in the documentation of nursing care for community nurses in home care services. Involving aspects of implementation, benefits and barriers in using electronic nursing documentation. The method used was using electronic databases such as Ebsco, Scopus, Proquest, and PubMed published between 2020-2023. Based on the initial search, there were 8 relevant articles out of 320 articles found. The results showed that the implementation of electronic nursing care documentation has a positive impact on patients, nurses and health services. However, several obstacles were found, namely the skills and knowledge of nurses on electronic documentation are still lacking, so training is needed. Internet network constraints are also very influential, especially in rural areas. In conclusion, there is a gap between the need for internet and internet distribution which is a challenge for the government in developing digitalization in the health sector and improving nurses' skills in electronic documentation. Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate digital interventions aimed at preventing falls among individuals aged 65 and older. The methodology employed involves a literature review assessing the effectiveness of various technologies in reducing fall risks, as well as identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each approach. The study includes elderly participants using digital technology or interventions compared to a control group receiving standard care or no intervention. Outcomes considered include reduced fall risk, fall incidents, or severity of fall-related injuries. Studies meeting inclusion criteria encompass experimental designs (randomized controlled trials, controlled trials) or observational studies with adequate controls, available in English. PubMed, Scopus, and IEEE Xplore databases were utilized up to June 19, 2024, with additional reference searches. Research findings indicate that out of 608 identified articles, 10 studies met inclusion criteria following screening processes. These studies utilized a variety of technologies such as mobile applications, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), machine learning, and robotics. Conducted in various countries, these studies demonstrate diverse applications; for instance, UK studies used mobile apps and 3D games for fall awareness, Chinese studies employed VR for rehabilitation, and German studies explored robotics for fall prevention. The research concludes by highlighting the potential of technologies like VR, AR, machine learning, and robotics in reducing fall risks among the elderly, thereby enhancing healthcare practices and quality of life. Abstract

Resilience that has not been formed and self-regulatory functions that are not optimal, play a role in low adherence to treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV). This study aimed to develop a resilience model of antiretroviral therapy (ARV) adherence and quality of life for PLHIV. This study used a cross-sectional approach to 185 PLHIV in Tulungagung, East Java, Indonesia who were selected using simple random sampling. Individual factors, disease representation, emotional response, social support, interpretation, coping, resilience, adherence, and quality of life were variables in this study that were measured using a questionnaire. The data were then analyzed descriptively and using structural equation model (SEM) based on partial least square (PLS). The results showed that individual factors (T=4.062), disease representation (T=3.755), emotional response (T=3.988), and social support (T=2.753) affected interpretation of disease. Interpretation of disease then influences coping (T=5.285). Coping affects resilience (T=4.045), resilience influences ARV adherence (T=2.846), and adherence affects quality of life (T=10.050). Other factors that directly influence ARV adherence are emotional response (T=3.120) and social support (T=3.255). This resilience model is relevantly able to improve adherence in PLHIV. Emotional response is a factor that has the strongest influence in shaping the resilience of PLHIV in the mechanism of adherence and quality of life.

Abstract

Introduction: The transition from exclusive breastfeeding to poor complementary food by feeding practices may put infants at higher risk of becoming stunting. This study aims to analyze complementary food interventions in early childhood for stunting prevention. Methods: This systematic review is using 16 journals, and the authors conducted a relevant literature review in various data using the keywords "complementary food, stunting, RCT”. Data based on SCOPUS, Ebsco, WOS and Pubmed. The criteria consisted of full text published in criteria were five years limit journal (2017-2022) use article using English and live in lower middle income countries Results: In the first 1000 days of beginnings complementary food interventions are effective in preventing stunting. The incorporation of behavior change communication (BCC) education into the care programs offered to mothers and their families should be considered as a methods for gaining the most advantageous results. Conclusion: There are many options for complementary foods in the first 1000 days of life and can be adapted to the characteristics of the place of residence. The combination of behavior change communication (BC) interventions provided by medical personnel in the community to mothers and families who are directly involved in childcare can optimize stunting prevention interventions. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of compression therapy in varicose veins patients to reduce pain and increase wound healing after surgery. The method used was a systematic review using a checklist of protocols and rules (PRISMA) and a flowchart with the feasibility of studies assessed using the PICOT framework, searches using five databases, Science Direct, CINAHL, Scopus, SAGE, and ProQuest. The results showed that as many as ten articles were obtained discussing the effects of compression therapy in patients with varicose veins, with different discussions in each study bringing positive impacts. In conclusion, compression therapy is considered the most effective conservative treatment for varicose veins, which has been shown to benefit from several research results. Namely, compression improves the healing of varicose veins compared to no reduction. Still, compression therapy has not been proven to provide long-term effects—benefits for postoperative varicose veins patients to return to normal activities.
