Abstract

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that using domino media cards can improve third semester student learning outcomes. The study's findings indicate that student learning attainment increases when using domino media, with a rata-rata of approximately 77. A good motor skill is very important for both physical and mental health. Malays with good motor skills tend to be more active in their physical activities, which can improve their overall health. Education at all levels should incorporate motor skills instruction into their curricula, especially in programs related to health, sports, and humanities. This method uses the deskriptif kualitatif method. The study is conducted with two groups: one group that uses the domino game in class and one group that does not use the game. Comparing the learning outcomes of both groups using tes before and after intervention. Data is gathered via a questionnaire that reduces student perceptions on the effectiveness of domino games in terms of increasing the target audience. Playing domino games in groups can promote physical activity, such as pushing or shoving cards across the room, which can help with the development of kasar motor impairment. Playing dominoes in a group setting fosters interpersonal and professional relationships among players. This not only increases social reactivity but also stimulates physical activity that can slow down the rate of motor neuron degeneration. The study's findings indicate that this medium is very feasible to utilize, with 91.99% presentation suitability and 98% content suitability according to subject matter experts. It also appears that the improvement in outcomes from classroom trials is substantial. In summary: Utilizing domino cards in conjunction with motor development courses to enhance third semester students' literacy abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of nutrition on athlete performance when performing sports activities. This research uses qualitative descriptive research. Data collection on athletes' eating habits is often done using questionnaires to obtain accurate and systematic information on daily nutritional consumption patterns. Analyzing the relationship between nutrition and athlete performance is an important step to understanding how nutritional intake affects physical and mental abilities in sports. The population in this study was all athletes actively competing in various sports in East Nusa Tenggara and the study sample was 90 athletes. Overall, the data showed that regular eating habits, balanced nutritional intake (especially vegetables, fruits, and protein), and restriction of fast food and sugary/soda drinks contributed positively to athletes' performance. In conclusion, nutrition was shown to play an important role in improving athlete performance in East Nusa Tenggara. Research shows that a balanced consumption of carbohydrates, protein, fat, and vitamins and minerals helps athletes maintain energy, accelerate recovery, and improve endurance. Most athletes ate three meals a day, regularly ate breakfast, and consumed vegetables and fruits daily, which overall contributed positively to their performance.

Abstract

This study examines the role of learning motivation as a mediating variable in the relationship between the family environment and the phenomenon of school dropout in the Indonesian-Timor Leste border area. A quantitative approach was used as the explanatory research method. The population in this study comprised high school/vocational school students who dropped out of school in the Malacca Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. A sample of 120 respondents from 12 sub-districts was obtained through proportional sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and data analysis using Path Analysis with the help of the SPSS 27. The results showed that family environment had a significant effect on learning motivation, with a score of 9.676 and a significance value of 0.001. Family environment had a significant effect on school dropouts, which was calculated to be 4.312 and a significance value of 0.001. Learning motivation had a significant effect on school dropouts, with a score of 4.465 and significance value of 0.001. Learning motivation was able to mediate the influence of the family environment on school dropouts, with an indirect effect of -1,048, and the Sobel test score = 12,467 > t table = 1,658; thus, the mediation was significant. This study concluded that a positive family environment can increase learning motivation and indirectly reduce the risk of dropping out of school. These findings have important implications for education policies in border areas.

This research employed a quantitative approach using an explanatory survey method. The study population included all high school dropouts across 12 sub-districts in Malaka Regency. A proportional sampling technique was applied, resulting in a total sample of 180 dropout students. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the assistance of SPSS version 27. The results of the study showed that the family environment and peer have a significant negative effect on school dropout. Learning motivation significant moderates, the relationship between the family environment, peers and school dropout. In conclusion, both the family environment and peer groups significantly influence school dropout rates in border areas, while learning motivation serves as a protective factor that can mitigate these effects. Therefore, efforts to enhance students’ learning motivation may be an effective strategy to reduce dropout rates in such regions.

Abstract

Pelatihan karakter hendaknya dilakukan sedini mungkin.

Abstract

Smoking is a behavioral factor that can reduce athletic fitness, but the comparison of VO₂ max capacity between smokers and non-smokers in soccer players is still rarely studied. This study aims to analyze the differences in VO₂ max between two groups of players at Fortuna FC, Kupang. The study employed a quantitative comparative design involving 20 participants (10 smokers and 10 non-smokers). VO₂ max was measured using the Multistage Fitness Test (Beep Test) and analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results showed a significant difference between the groups (t(18) = 8.639; p < 0.001), with a higher average VO₂ max in non-smokers (54.7 mL·kg⁻¹·min⁻¹) compared to smokers (48.9 mL·kg⁻¹·min⁻¹). This difference of 5.8 mL·kg⁻¹·min⁻¹ indicates a decrease in aerobic capacity of approximately 10–12% in smokers. These findings confirm that smoking negatively impacts the cardiorespiratory fitness of amateur soccer players. This study provides relevant empirical evidence for coaches and sports health professionals to promote smoking prevention programs in the development of athletes.
