Abstract

Industri pengolahan perikanan memerlukan penerapan standar ketat untuk menjamin kualitas produk dan keselamatan pekerja. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) dan Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) berperan penting dalam menjaga kebersihan dan efisiensi produksi. Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi penerapan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) dalam meningkatkan aspek GMP dan SSOP pada produksi tuna cube di PT X. Dengan metode campuran, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun PT X telah menerapkan GMP dan SSOP, terdapat tantangan dalam pemenuhan pekerja terhadap prosedur kebersihan serta pengelolaan fasilitas kerja. Strategi yang direkomendasikan meliputi peningkatan pelatihan, pengawasan ketat, serta optimalisasi fasilitas untuk menciptakan lingkungan produksi yang lebih aman dan higienis. Implementasi yang lebih efektif diharapkan dapat mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja serta meningkatkan kualitas produk perikanan.The fisheries processing industry requires strict standards to ensure product quality and worker safety. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) play an important role in maintaining cleanliness and production efficiency. This study analyzes the strategy for implementing Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) in improving GMP and SSOP aspects in tuna cube production at PT X. Using a mixed method, data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that although PT X has implemented GMP and SSOP, there are challenges in workers' compliance with hygiene procedures and management of work facilities. Recommended strategies include increasing training, strict supervision, and optimizing facilities to create a safer and more hygienic production environment. More effective implementation is expected to reduce the risk of work accidents and improve the quality of fishery products.

Abstract

Pengoperasian kapal dapat berjalan dengan lancar didukung oleh mesin-mesin yang handal dan dapat berjalan dengan efektif dan efisien. Kapal Putra Makmur 86 merupakan salah satu kapal ikan yang dimiliki oleh PT. Matsyaraja Arnawa Satambhapura dan beroperasi di Nusa Tenggara Timur. Kapal ini mempergunakan bahan bakar solar untuk mendukung kinerja mesin-mesinnya. Pentingnya kebutuhan bahan bakar pada mesin kapal dan masih kurangnya informasi tentang kinerja dari mesin-mesin di kapal tersebut, maka dalam tulisan ini dicoba bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan bahan bakar dan kinerja mesin induk dan generator pada Kapal Putra Makmur 86 selama beroperasi. Metode observasi, wawancara, analisis perhitungan bahan bakar dan uji frekuensi dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan operasi selama 32 hari penggunaan bahan bakar pada Kapal Putra Makmur 86 selama beroperasi sangat efektif dan efisien. Penghematan penggunaan bahan bakar solar dapat dicapai sebanyak 5,90% (0,47 Ton). Hal ini dapat dilihat dari perbedaan dari hasil pengamatan secara langsung dan perhitungan konsumsi bahan bakar. Hasil perhitungan didapatkan rata-rata 3,99±1,47, dengan standar error 1,04, dan rentang penggunaan dari 2,95-5,02 Ton. Sedangkan, hasil pengamatan didapatkan rata-rata 3,75±0,35, dengan standar error 0,25, dan rentang penggunaan dari 3,5-4 Ton. Penyebab dari perbedaan ini adalah pengaruh cuaca dan arus yang baik selama beroperasi, rute pelayaran, kondisi mesin yang masih bagus, muatan, dan gaya mengemudi yang baik sehingga menyebabkan konsumsi bahan bakar tidak terlalu banyak dibandingkan dengan hasil perhitungan.The vessel's operation can run smoothly supported by reliable machines and can run effectively and efficiently. Putra Makmur 86 vessel is one of the fishing vessels owned by PT. Matsyaraja Arnawa Satambhapura and operates in East Nusa Tenggara. This ship uses diesel fuel to support the performance of its engines. The importance of the need for fuel on the ship's engine and the lack of information about the performance of the engines on the ship, so in this paper, an attempt is made to analyze the use of fuel and the performance of the main engine and generator during operation. The methods of observation, interviews, analysis of fuel calculations, and frequency tests were used in this study. Based on the results of operating activities for 32 days, the use of fuel on the Putra Makmur 86 vessel was very effective and efficient. Using diesel fuel can be saved as much as 5.90% (0.47 Tons). This can be seen from the difference between direct observation and calculation of fuel consumption. The calculation results obtained an average of 3.99±1.47, with a standard error of 1.04, and a usage range of 2.95–5.02 Ton. Meanwhile, the observation results got an average of 3.75± 0.35, with a standard error of 0.25, and a range of use from 3.5-4 Ton. The cause of this difference is the influence of good weather and currents during operation, shipping routes, good engine condition, payload, and good driving style so that fuel consumption is not too much compared to the calculation results.

Abstract

Kapal Express Bahari 1F adalah kapal niaga yang melayani penyeberangan di Nusa Tenggara Timur. Sebagai salah satu media transportasi laut tentu harus dihadapkan terhadap keandalan mesin. Kehandalan mesin ini dapat dicapai dengan adanya kegiatan dinas jaga yang baik sesuai STCW. Kegiatan dinas jaga mesin pada suatu kapal memegang peranan penting. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari kegiatan perawatan untuk memperoleh keamanan dari mesin dan agar kapal dapat sampai di tujuan dengan selamat, serta menjaga kebugaran para kru kapal. Kurangnya informasi atas kegiatan dinas jaga mesin di Kapal Express Bahari 1F, maka dilakukan penelitian terhadap kesesuaian kegiatan dinas jaga mesin terhadap STCW. Metode observasi dan wawancara dipergunakan dalam penelitian dengan mengikuti kegiatan operasi kapal. Hasil analisis dari kegiatan dinas jaga mesin pada Kapal Express Bahari 1F menunjukan bahwa kegiatan dinas jaga mesin pada kapal telah sesuai dengan STCW. Kegiatan dinas jaga mesin dilakukan oleh KKM, 2 orang masinis, dan 1 orang Oiler, dengan pembagian waktu kerja dan istirahat yang baik.The Express Bahari 1F ship is a commercial ship serving maritime shipping in East Nusa Tenggara. As one of the sea transportation media, of course, we have to face the reliability of the engine. The reliability of this machine can be achieved by having good watch keeping activities in accordance with STCW. Engine watchkeeping activities on a ship play an important role. This activity is part of maintenance activities to obtain safety from the engine and so that the ship can arrive at its destination safely, as well as maintain the fitness of the ship's crew. Lack of information on the activities of the engine watchkeeping on the Express Bahari 1F ship, so a study was carried out on the suitability of the engine watchkeeping activities against STCW. Observation and interview methods are used in research by participating in ship operations. The results of the analysis of engine watchkeeping activities on the Express Bahari 1F ship show that the engine watchkeeping activities on the ship are in accordance with STCW. Engine room watch keeping activities are carried out by The Chief Engineer, second engineer, third engineer, and 1 oiler with a good division of work and rest time.

Abstract

Dalam mendukung pelayanan pelayaran di Nusa Tenggara Timur khususnya untuk penyeberangan Adonara dan Larantuka, Kapal Arkona harus didukung dengan mesin induk dengan sistem pendingin yang baik. Peranan sistem pendingin mesin induk ini sangat penting. Kinerja dari sistem pendingin ini dapat dilihat dari proses mensirkulasikan panas dari mesin ke media pendingin dengan temperatur yang sesuai. Metode deskriptif analitik dipergunakan dalam mendukung kegiatan penelitian ini, didukung dengan observasi, wawancara, Uji Distribusi Frekuensi, dan Uji Friedman. Hasil menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kecepatan putaran mesin induk dan temperatur air pendingin pada Kapal Arkona. Semakin besar putaran mesin induk, maka semakin naik suhu air pendingin. Hasil Uji Friedman dengan melakukan enam kali pengukuran didapatkan juga hasil bahwa dari seluruh parameter tidak ditemukan hasil yang berbeda pada seluruh hasil pengukuran, dengan nilai p>0,05. Berdasarkan data ini dapat dinyatakan bahwa temperatur air pendingin pada masih berada pada batas normal. Untuk menjaga kinerja sistem pendingin pada Kapal Arkona dapat dilakukan perawatan dengan cara mengontrol air pendingin pada tangki, pemeriksaan sirkulasi air pendingin, menjaga pompa air laut dari karatan, membersihkan filter atau saringan dari kotoran-kotoran, dan menjaga pompa air tawar dari kotoran.In supporting shipping services in East Nusa Tenggara, especially for crossings between the Adorana and Larantuka Regions, the Arkona Ship must be supported by a main engine with a good cooling system. The role of the main engine cooling system is very important. The performance of this cooling system can be seen from the process of circulating heat from the engine to the cooling medium at the appropriate temperature. The analytical descriptive method was used to support this research activity, supported by observation, interviews, Frequency Distribution Test, and Friedman Test. The results show that there is a relationship between the main engine rotation speed and the cooling water temperature on the Arkona Ship. The greater the rotation of the main engine, the higher the temperature of the cooling water. The results of the Friedman test by carrying out six measurements also showed that all parameters found no different results in all measurement results, with a value of p> 0.05. Based on these data it can be stated that the cooling water temperature is still within normal limits. To maintain the performance of the cooling system on the Arkona Ship, maintenance can be carried out by controlling the cooling water in the tank, checking the cooling water circulation, keeping the sea water pump from rusting, cleaning the filter or filters from dirt, and keeping the fresh water pump from dirt.

Abstract

Preventive maintenance pada sistem mesin pendingin pada Kapal Arimby sangat memegang peranan penting. Kegiatan perawatan tidak dapat dikesampingkan karena apabila dalam proses kerja suatu mesin mengalami kerusakan dan tidak mengalami perawatan maka akan menjadi rusak secara perlahan. Oleh karena itu perawatan sistem pendingin mutlak diperlukan. Sistem pendingin yang tidak bekerja dengan baik dipastikan bahwa sistem tersebut mengalami kerusakan dan akan menghambat proses kerja dari mesin utama kapal. Hal ini tentu saja akan mengakibatkan kerugian yang dialami oleh pemilik kapal secara teknik maupun ekonomis. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama empat bulan dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara kepada lima responden. Hasil kegiatan preventive maintenance pada Kapal Arimby dapat dilakukan dengan dua cara, yaitu perawatan harian dan perawatan bulanan. Pada perawatan harian dilakukan pengecekan air tawar dan perawatan bulanan dilakukan pengecekan pada sea chest, sea water pump, coller, keran air, dan pipa/selang.Preventive maintenance of the cooling system on the Arimby Ship plays an important role. Maintenance activities cannot be ruled out because if in the work process a machine is damaged and does not undergo maintenance, it will become damaged slowly. Therefore, maintenance of the cooling system is essential. A cooling system that does not work properly is certain that the system is damaged and will hinder the work process of the ship's main engine. This of course will result in losses experienced by ship owners technically and economically. This research was conducted for four months using the method of observation and interviews with five respondents. The results of preventive maintenance activities on Arimby Ships can be carried out in two ways, namely daily maintenance and monthly maintenance. In daily maintenance, fresh water checks are carried out and monthly maintenance is carried out on sea chests, sea water pumps, coolers, water faucets, and pipes

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the safety and reliability of the electrical systems on tourist ships in Labuan Bajo through Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). The analysis identified key electrical components, including the battery and energy storage system, electric generator, charging system, and cables and connectors, as having high Risk Priority Numbers (RPNs). These components, if they fail, could significantly impact ship operations and passenger safety. The study emphasizes the importance of regular maintenance and early detection to prevent system failures and highlights critical areas, such as backup energy storage and power distribution, that require more attention. Despite having lower RPNs, components like the ship's lighting system and ventilation system still require maintenance to ensure smooth operation and passenger comfort. Additionally, the research revealed that proper load management of the electric generator is essential for extending its lifespan. It is recommended to limit the generator load to 60-86% of its maximum capacity to reduce the risk of overheating and enhance operational efficiency. By implementing these preventive measures, ship operators can enhance the reliability and safety of the electrical systems, leading to a safer and more comfortable experience for tourists while minimizing disruptions to operations. Overall, the findings show that FMEA is a valuable tool for optimizing the electrical systems of tourist ships, ensuring they operate with maximum efficiency and minimum risk.

Abstract

The use of fossil fuels on tourist boats in Labuan Bajo poses challenges in the form of high operational costs and significant environmental impacts. This study aims to optimize the renewable energy-based electrical system by utilizing a hybrid photovoltaic and generator system on tourist boats. The methods used include simulation and technical, economic, and socio-cultural analysis to evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of the system. The results of the study show that technically, the hybrid photovoltaic (PV)-generator system is able to improve energy efficiency and reliability of electricity supply, especially in dealing with fluctuations in power needs. From an economic aspect, this system has been proven to reduce fossil fuel consumption by up to 40%, which has an impact on long-term operational cost savings, even though the initial investment is quite high. Socio-culturally, the implementation of this system supports sustainability values and provides a positive image for the tourism industry in Labuan Bajo as an environmentally friendly destination. The use of a hybrid PV-generator system is an innovative and sustainable solution for tourist boats in Labuan Bajo, which not only improves technical efficiency and economic benefits but also supports environmental conservation and sustainability-based tourism.

Abstract

Insang merupakan hasil samping perikanan bernilai rendah namun kandungan gizi tinggi dan berpotensi dikembangkan menjadi produk bernilai tambah, yaitu keripik. Mengingat insang berfungsi sebagai penyaring zat kimia (logam berat), maka aspek keamanan pangan menjadi penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan membandingkan karakteristik insang ikan tuna dan lemuru dalam kondisi segar dan beku sebagai bahan baku keripik, berdasarkan kandungan proksimat, cemaran logam berat, mikrobiologi, dan tingkat penerimaan konsumen. Penelitian menggunakan empat perlakuan, yakni insang dari tuna segar, tuna beku, lemuru segar, dan lemuru beku (duplo). Analisis proksimat meliputi kadar abu, air, lemak dan protein. Analisis logam berat meliputi Hg, Pb dan Cd. Analisis mikrobiologi terdiri atas TPC, E. coli, Salmonella sp., dan V. cholerae. Tingkat penerimaan konsumen menggunakan uji hedonik dengan parameter ketampakan, aroma, rasa, tekstur, aftertaste dan keseluruhan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa insang ikan memiliki kadar protein 14,15–17,62%, lemak 1,61–5,79%, air 65,36–69,19%, dan abu 10,81–14,93%. Pengolahan insang menjadi keripik menghasilkan kadar protein 8,04–9,52%, kadar lemak 19,33–26,75%, kadar air 4,12–4,67%, dan kadar abu 4,66–6,19%. Keripik insang lemuru segar mengandung lemak tertinggi (26,75%) dan keripik tuna beku memiliki protein tertinggi (9,52%). Kandungan logam berat pada insang berada di bawah batas maksimum yang ditetapkan SNI 7387:2009, dengan kadar Hg 0,01 ppm, Pb 0,02–0,15 ppm, dan Cd 0,02–0,05 ppm. Kandungan mikrobiologi menunjukkan seluruh keripik insang aman dikonsumsi. Analisis hedonik oleh panelis terlatih menunjukkan keripik insang sangat disukai, dengan skor keseluruhan di atas 8,00 dan keripik insang tuna beku memperoleh skor rasa tertinggi (8,90).

Abstract

Pembelajaran geografi di tingkat sekolah dasar di Indonesia seringkali terkendala oleh metode konvensional yang monoton, berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman dan minat siswa, khususnya dalam mengenali provinsi-provinsi di Indonesia. SDN 1 Sempidi di Badung, Bali, menghadapi tantangan ini akibat keterbatasan media pembelajaran interaktif. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk merancang, mengimplementasikan, dan mengevaluasi efektivitas media pembelajaran berupa peta interaktif berbasis mikrokontroler untuk meningkatkan pemahaman geografis dan minat belajar siswa. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan participatory action research yang melibatkan lima tahapan sistematis: (1) identifikasi kebutuhan bersama mitra, (2) pengembangan alat peraga berbasis mikrokontroler AtMega 2560, (3) pelatihan dan pendampingan guru, (4) implementasi di dalam kelas, dan (5) evaluasi dampak menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test pada 28 siswa kelas 6. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan siswa. Persentase siswa dengan pemahaman "Baik" dan "Sangat Baik" melonjak dari 39,7% pada pre-test menjadi 89,3% pada post-test. Sebaliknya, kategori "Tidak Baik" menurun drastis dari 50% menjadi hanya 7,1%. Peta interaktif terbukti menjadi solusi pedagogis yang efektif untuk mengatasi kesenjangan pembelajaran. Pendekatan multi-sensori (visual, auditori, taktil) berhasil meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa secara signifikan. Program ini juga berhasil membangun kapasitas guru untuk keberlanjutan pemanfaatan teknologi di sekolah.

Abstract

Salt is a strategic commodity that plays an important role in daily life, both as food, industrial raw materials, and in the health sector. Salt processing in Indonesia, especially in coastal areas, is generally carried out traditionally, which includes evaporation and boiling techniques. However, traditional salt processing in many areas, including Jembrana, Bali, still faces challenges related to product quality, production efficiency, and limited market access. Innovations in salt processing technology, such as the use of geomembranes and salt houses, have been shown to improve the quality and quantity of salt production. This article aims to review the literature related to traditional and innovative salt processing, and explore the potential for replicating these innovations in Jembrana. The results of the study indicate that Jembrana has great potential to develop an innovation-based salt industry, by adopting the latest technology and strengthening community-based business institutions. However, several gaps in technology, human resources, and institutions must be addressed to create a sustainable and competitive salt industry. With support from various parties, including the government, academics, and local communities, Jembrana has the opportunity to become a leading region in the production of high-quality local salt.
