The development of media and technology is a challenge for children's development. There are many negative impacts, namely that it can disrupt health and can interfere with development children, prone to crime, can affect children's behavior, difficulty concentrating to the real world, disruption of brain function in children, and can become dependent on gadgets. The role of parents is very important to supervise, control and pay attention all children's activities to see better child development. The method used is the method of counseling about the influence of gadgets on children. The result of this outreach activity is to increase students' understanding of the negative and positive influences of excessive use of gadgets.

The community service is carried out to provide knowledge to the young people of Negeri Hukurila, South Leitimur District, who are first-time voters. First-time voters, according to the Election Law, refer to individuals aged 17 and above or those who have been married. First-time voters are those who are eligible to vote for the first time in any type of election, including general elections, presidential elections, legislative elections, or other elections. They can be aged 17-18 or older and have met the voter requirements set by the laws of their country or jurisdiction of residence. The purpose of this community service is to increase the participation of first-time voters, especially the young people of Negeri Hukurila who have just graduated from high school or vocational school. Based on observations, it has been found that the youth in Negeri Hukurila have low political participation in elections, and they also have limited information about elections and a lack of political education. With reference to these issues, we conducted community service with the hope that after the socialization on increasing the participation of informed first-time voters, their knowledge about elections and politics would increase, thereby impacting the high level of participation of first-time voters in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Digital literacy is an essential competency in the era of digital transformation because it involves not only technical skills but also the ability to critically understand information in cyberspace. A good level of digital literacy can encourage community participation in public decision-making and democratic processes, while inequality in access and digital literacy skills may hinder such participation. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve digital literacy in order to overcome challenges and strengthen inclusive community participation. The activity targeted children and adolescents in Waihoka Village, Ambon City, with 31 participants involved in socialization and educational sessions. Evaluations were conducted before and after the presentation of the material, and the results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of digital literacy from early childhood to adolescence. Thus, communities with adequate digital literacy are expected to be more capable of accessing information, interacting appropriately in digital spaces, and actively participating in public decision-making processes and social activities in the digital era.

The Kei Islands water area is quite productive in fisheries management. Environmental characteristics and oceanographic factors in a body of water will determine the potential of fisheries resources in a water body, and influence fish movement patterns and the formation of fishing areas for flying fish eggs. This research aims to examine the distribution of sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a concentrations and analyze the relationship between sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a concentrations with catches of flying fish eggs. The research focused on the waters of the Kei Islands, Southeast Maluku, which is an area for catching flying fish eggs. The research data was studied in the period December 2014 â€“ November 2017. SPL and Chlorophyll-a data were downloaded from Citra MODIS-Aqua, while data on flying fish egg production was obtained from PPN Tual. The research results show that the monthly average SST distribution is between 25.03-30.42ÂºC, and the monthly average of chlorophyll-a varies quite widely with a range of 0.05-3.09 mg/m3. The number of flying fish egg production fluctuates every year with a production range of 36.28-81.905 kg. The peak of catching flying fish eggs occurs in June-September (eastern season and transition season II). The results of the analysis show that the correlation between SST and chlorophyll-a variables has a very dominant influence on the abundance of flying fish eggs.

This community service activity aims to boost the self-confidence of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Taniwel Timur, West Seram Regency, many of whom struggle with speaking in public. The activity was conducted through an arts performance as part of the University of Pattimura’s Community Service Program (KKN). The process was divided into three simple stages: preparation (meetings with the school and selecting competitions such as public speaking, poetry reading, or solo singing), implementation (students performed for 2 hours while receiving praise and positive feedback), and evaluation (observing changes such as more confident eye contact and a louder voice). As a result, the students participated actively, and their hesitation decreased significantly due to hands-on practice and support from teachers and peers. The arts performance proved to be an easy and comprehensive way to help students become more confident and sociable.

The hydrodynamic conditions of the Maluku waters are highly dynamic and are generally influenced by several oceanographic factors, including current patterns that are also affected by variations in monsoonal winds. At present, global climate change associated with the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) phenomenon is suspected to have altered wind and current patterns. This study aims to examine the variations in monsoonal wind patterns and monsoonal current patterns during ENSO events in the Maluku waters, including the Seram Sea, Banda Sea, and Arafura Sea. Monthly averaged wind and current data were obtained from the Copernicus database, while ENSO index data were acquired from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) database. The results indicate that the average maximum wind speed during the West Monsoon reaches 6.1 m/s with a southeastward direction, whereas during the East Monsoon it reaches 9.2 m/s with a northwestward direction. Based on the direction of movement, the prevailing winds are characterized as monsoonal winds. The average maximum current velocity during the West Monsoon reaches 0.8 m/s with an eastward direction, while during the East Monsoon it reaches 1.4 m/s with a dominant westward movement. The dominant direction of current movement generally follows the direction of the monsoonal winds. The influence of ENSO indicates that the average wind speed and spatial distribution of winds increase during El Niño events, whereas the average current velocity and spatial distribution of currents increase during La Niña events.
