Abstract

Penelitian dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa, menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan Pretest-postest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang memprogramkan mata kuliah pengetahuan lingkungan dan kependudukan pada Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FITK IAIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Kelas eksperimen dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran berbasis PBL, sedangkan kelas kontrol dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji-t (Independent Samples t Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa (t-hit. 6,297 > t-tabel 2,005) yang dibelajarkan melalui model PBL. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL dinyatakan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa pada perkuliahan pengetahuan lingkungan dan kependudukan. Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning, Hasil Belajar Kognitif, dan Pencemaran Lingkungan. The Research aimed to improve cognitive learning outcome of students, by using experimental method with Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The population of this research was the students majoring in environment and demography at biology education department of Tarbiyah and Teaching Faculty of IAIN Ar-Raniry at Banda Aceh. Experimental class was treated by using Problem Based Learning model, while control class was treated by using conventional learning. Data analysis and the result were obtained by using the t-test (independent sample t-test). The result of the test showed that there was a significant improvement to cognitive learning outcome students (tcount 6,297 > ttab 2,005) treated by using PBL model. therefore, PBL model can improve to cognitive learning outcome at environment and demography department. Abstract

Crust moss (lichen) is a symbiotic organism between fungi and algae which play important roles in environment and can grow in extreme conditions. Therefore, those are important issues to be concerned. The study was aimed to identify the lichen species and their substrates in the Ie Seu um area of Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency. This research used exploratory survey methods. Observations were done at radii of 10, 20 and 30 meters from the hot spring. The parameters of the study were lichen species, types of thallus and substrate. Besides, the parameters consisting of air temperature and humidity, and light intensity were also measured. Data was analyzed descriptively and was revealed in tables and figures. The results  showed that there were 16 lichen species consisting of 7 species (at radius of 10 meters), 6 species (at radius of 20 meters), and 9 species (at radius of 30 meters). From the total species, there were 12 crustose-thallus species and 4 foliose-thallus species. The substrate types serve as the habitat of lichen were trees, stones and dead wood.

Abstract

The study entitled “The Implementation of the Lesson Study Based Learning toward the Teachers’ Pedagogical Competence and Science Process Skill of Biology Teachers’ at SMA Negeri 11 and MA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh”. It aimed to describe the teachers’ pedagogical competence and Science Process Skill of Biology teachers at SMA Negeri through lesson study focusing on the product learning instruments. The data analysis the pedagogical and science process skill was using descriptive percentage in qualitative. The study result of the pedagogical competence of biology teachers’ through the lesson study atSMA Negeri 11 and MA 3 Banda Aceh were running well in which the value of pedagogical competence at SMA Negeri 11 was 99% (very good category) and MA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh was 92% (good category). The teachers’ science process skill overall was very good category, with the score 72 for model teacher at SMA 11 Banda Aceh and 67 for model teacher at MAN 3 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui: (1) Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep perusakan dan pencemaran lingkungan yang dibelajarkan dengan model problem based instruction (PBI) dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang  dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional; (2) Peningkatan kemampuan kerja ilmiah siswa pada konsep perusakan dan pencemaran lingkungan yang dibelajarkan dengan model PBI yang dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 4 Bireuen dengan menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa   kelas X  semester ganjil  pada Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 4 kelas paralel. Sampel diambil sebanyak 2 kelas yang ditentukan secara acak yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen atau PBI dan kelas kontrol atau konvensional. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji t dengan menggunakan program SPSS 16.0 for windows. Hasil penenelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan (ƿ>0,05) antara siswa yang dibelajarakan dengan model PBI dengan pembelajaran konvensional,  (2) terdapat perbedaan skor kemampuan kerja ilmiah siswa yang signifikan (ƿ>0,05) antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model PBI dengan pembelajaran konvensional, Dapat disimpulkan bahwa : (1)  hasil belajar siswa pada konsep perusakan dan pencemaran lingkungan dengan model PBI lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, (2) Skor kemampuan kerja ilmiah siswa dengan model PBI lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan skor pembelajaran konvensional. Kata kunci: Problem Based Instruction, Hasil Belajar, Kerja Ilmiah Siswa, Perusakan dan Pencemaran Lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar dan sikap ilmiah siswa melalui pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi fotosintesis di SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-4 (kelas eksperimen) dan siswa kelas VIII-5 (kelas kontrol).  Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas tes dan lembar observasi sikap ilmiah. Analisis data peningkatan hasil belajar berupa gain ternormalisasi (N-gain), dan sikap ilmiah dengan persentase. Perbedaan rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dianalisis dengan t-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan Inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan sikap ilmiah siswa pada materi fotosintesis di SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of inquiry-based learning modules to science process skills and student learning outcomes in aquatic ecology courses at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Teuku Umar University. This research method is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all students at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Teuku Umar University. The sample in this study was students in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 Academic Year in the Fisheries and Marine Studies Program, totaling 105 students and 5 classes taking Aquatic Ecology courses, namely the Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources study program. The results showed that the application of inquiry-based learning modules could improve science process skills in aquatic ecology courses at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Teuku Umar University. The results of the analysis prove that the average percentage of students' Science Process Skills on indicators of observation is 85.08, interpretation is 60.32, classification is 92.06, communication is 77.78, experiment is 70.16, and principle is 66.98. The application of inquiry-based learning modules can improve student learning outcomes in aquatic ecology courses at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Teuku Umar University. The results of the average increase in student learning outcomes pretest 42.93, posttest 76.5, and N-gain 62.82. While the results of the average difference test indicate that the significance value is 0.013 <0.05, meaning that there is a difference in the average student learning outcomes before and after applying the guided inquiry module. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is an increase in science process skills and student learning outcomes

Abstract

The learning process has not emphasized the development of skills; this is because in learning students tend to memorize concepts so that learning outcomes and self-efficacy are not trained optimally. The formulation of the problem in this study is: is there a difference in learning outcomes and student self-efficacy between the use of the Problem Base Learning model combined with the E-STEM-based Student Worksheet with the Problem Base Learning model on environmental pollution material at MAN Banda Aceh? This research is quantitative with an experimental research approach. The research design used was pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was all students of class X MAN 3 Banda Aceh, totaling 84. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 84 students. The instrument used to measure learning outcomes is multiple choice questions using 30 questions and self-efficacy is measured using a questionnaire. Data analysis of learning outcomes and self-efficacy of students using independent sample t-test at a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that there were differences in student learning outcomes and self-efficacy after applying the Problem Base Learning model combined with the E-STEM-based Student Worksheet on environmental pollution materials at MAN Banda Aceh

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of problem-based learning models combined with animation media that can improve students' learning science process skills. The method used in this research is an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted at two senior high schools in North Aceh Regency, Aceh, Indonesia. The study was conducted in the even semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The research sample was taken by random sampling of 102 students, namely the experimental group 51 and the control group 51. The parameter measured in the study was the students' science process skills. The data of science process skills were analyzed by parametric statistical test independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was an increase in science process skills after being taught using a problem-based learning model combined with animation media. The conclusion of this study is that the application of problem-based learning models combined with animation media can improve students' science process skills on the sensory system material at SMAN 1 Meurah Mulia and SMAN 1 Tanah Pasir.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan psikomotorik peserta didik melalui implementasi problem based learning pada materi laju reaksi. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan pada bulan oktober 2018 di SMAN 4 Banda Aceh melalui pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. Pemilihan sampel secara purposive diperoleh peserta didik kelas XI IA-3 yang berjumlah 30 orang dari populasi 5 kelas XI IA. Lembar observasi psikomotorik peserta didik yang telah disiapkan sebagai instrumen dinilai oleh observer berjumlah enam orang, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan rumus perbandingan untuk memperolah data dalam bentuk nilai. Nilai yang diperoleh dari 10 item penilaian lembar psikomotorik menujukkan bahwa didapatkannya nilai yang sempurna dengan kategori sangat baik yaitu 4, seperti menuliskan kajian teoritas, rumusan masalah, prosedur kerja, dan bentuk fisik. Sedangkan item lainnya mendapatkan nilai di sekitaran 3,5; 3,7; 3,8; dan 3,9 yang masih dikategorikan rata-rata sangat baik juga. Berdasarkan hasil dari pengolahan data enam kelompok keseluruhan diperolehlah bahwa psikomotorik peserta didik mengalami peningkatan yaitu sebesar 95 dengan kategori sangat baik. Sehingga untuk penelitian lanjutan dapat disarankan melakukan penilaian psikomotorik berbasis mutiple intelligence dengan Problem Based Learning dengan menyiapkan lembar rubrik yang sesuai.
