Abstract

Early childhood is a critical period for developing motor skills, especially locomotor movements such as walking, running, and jumping. However, many parents and educators lack adequate understanding and skills to apply effective and engaging play models that support optimal motor development. This community service activity aimed to provide training for parents and educators on implementing locomotor movement play models that are enjoyable, educational, and developmentally appropriate for young children. The activity was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Kamasan, Serang–Banten, through a combination of socialization sessions, practical training, and guided play simulations involving the children. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge, with average scores rising from 60.4 (pretest) to 86.6 (posttest), and the majority of participants classified in the high improvement category. Moreover, children’s motor skills improved by an average of 41.7%, particularly in jumping and coordination abilities. These findings indicate that locomotor play models are effective in enhancing the physical development of early childhood and can serve as a strategic approach integrated into early childhood education environments. The training also successfully raised awareness among parents and educators regarding the importance of physical activity as an essential component of holistic child development.Pelatihan Model Permainan Gerak Lokomotor untuk Anak Usia DiniABSTRAKMasa usia dini merupakan fase krusial dalam perkembangan keterampilan motorik anak, khususnya keterampilan gerak lokomotor seperti berjalan, berlari dan melompat. Abstract

Recreational sports tourism activities involving the community and educational institutions such as elementary schools are often accompanied by the risk of minor to moderate accidents, such as injuries, sprains, fainting, and even broken bones. Unfortunately, community preparedness in providing first aid for accidents (P3K) is still relatively low due to the lack of systematic training and education. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve the capacity of sports teachers and residents around SDN Kamasan 01, Serang Regency, in handling emergency incidents through practice-based P3K training. The implementation method includes interactive lectures, P3K technique displays, case simulations, and distribution of pocket modules to 40 participants. Evaluation was carried out through pretest-posttest and direct observation during the simulation. The results of the training showed a significant increase in the knowledge and skills of participants, with an average increase of 68% and 85% of participants were able to disseminate basic P3K techniques correctly. This activity proves that community-based P3K training is effective in building an emergency response culture and improving the safety of recreational sports activities. It is hoped that similar activities can be replicated in other schools and communities as part of community safety education.Pelatihan Pertolongan Pertama pada Kecelakaan Di Wisata Olahraga RekreasiABSTRAKKegiatan wisata olahraga rekreasi yang melibatkan masyarakat dan institusi pendidikan seperti sekolah dasar sering kali diwarnai dengan risiko kecelakaan ringan hingga sedang, seperti luka, terkilir, pingsan, bahkan patah tulang. Abstract

The locomotor learning model for early childhood developed in Indonesia is still not innovative. Therefore, researchers intend to develop an innovative locomotion learning model. This research aims to obtain the validity of the locomotor movement learning model to improve locomotor movement in children aged 6-8 years. The validation data collection method used Focus Group Discussion (FGD) by 5 experts. The validity of the learning model is assessed based on content and construct validity. The content and construct validation results through expert FGDs show that the locomotor learning model for children aged 6-8 years is included in the very valid category. These findings suggest that, theoretically, it is sound and may be used to help kids between the ages of six and eight develop their locomotor skills. Researchers' locomotor movement learning model offers tremendous potential for academics and practitioners to conduct more studies based on its construct validity and content results. One area that warrants further investigation is the applicability and efficacy of the locomotor movement learning model for 6–8-year-old children. Abstract

Background: The application of game models in badminton for young athletes is considered very appropriate. Game models incorporate training elements suitable for young athletes, who are still in a developmental stage that requires play, so that training can be maximized, as athletes feel more relaxed and have more fun in the program. Aims: The research aims to examine the effectiveness of the game model in improving young athletes' badminton skills. Methods: This study used a quantitative descriptive quasi-experimental design. The research design used in this study was “The One Group Pretest Posttest Design” with no control group. Results: The Wilcoxon test in Table 3 above shows that the pretest and posttest scores for badminton skills were significantly different (p < 0.05). Thus, the game model is efficacious in improving athletes' badminton skills. Conclusion: The game model applied in this study demonstrates high effectiveness in improving young athletes' badminton skills. Therefore, the researcher recommends using a game-based training model to improve young athletes' badminton skills. Implementing game-based training models can significantly enhance the development of young badminton athletes. By integrating play-oriented activities into training, coaches can create a more engaging and motivating environment that aligns with children's developmental needs. This approach not only improves technical and tactical skills in badminton but also promotes enjoyment, reduces training stress, and fosters long-term athlete participation.

Abstract

This study explores the journey of a windsurfing athlete in preparing for the XXI National Sports Week (PON) Aceh–North Sumatra 2024. Using an autoethnographic approach, it examines the technical, mental, and infrastructural challenges faced by the athlete, as well as the role of nutrition, sleep, and social support in enhancing performance. The findings reveal that adapting to the new iQFoil equipment is a major challenge, requiring mastery of new techniques. Balanced nutrition and quality sleep play a crucial role in maintaining stamina and recovery, while support from coaches, family, and sponsors significantly contributes to motivation and mental resilience. However, limited training facilities and the lack of high-quality domestic competitions remain significant obstacles to windsurfing development in Indonesia. This study recommends improving infrastructure, organizing high-quality domestic competitions, and providing internationally certified coaching programs to enhance athlete development. With long-term investment in infrastructure and training programs, Indonesia has the potential to produce world-class windsurfing athletes.
