Abstract

Lahan organik memiliki ketersediaan nutrisi yang berbeda dengan lahan konvensional, karena praktik pemupukan yang kurang, sehingga cekaman unsur hara terjadi ketika tanaman tidak mendapatkan cukup nutrisi yang diperlukan. Faktor-faktor seperti keberadaan bahan organik, dekomposisi, topografi, dan struktur tanah mempengaruhi ketersediaan unsur hara bagi tanaman. Tanaman jagung merupakan salah satu tanaman yang sensitif terhadap kekurangan unsur hara. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penilaian untuk mengetahui pengaruh cekaman unsur hara di lahan organik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman jagung dan varietas jagung yang mampu bertahan terhadap cekaman tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan di lahan organik Polinela Organic Farm pada bulan September hingga Desember 2023. Varietas jagung yang  digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu varietas F1 jagung putih Arumba dan varietas F1 jagung manis Exotic Pertiwi. Parameter pengamatannya antara lain tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, leaf area index, waktu bunga jantan keluar, bobot batang basah, dan bobot batang kering. Analisis data hasil penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dan Uji T-Test. Hasil menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara kedua varietas pada parameter jumlah daun, leaf area index, bobot batang basah, dan bobot batang kering, kecuali pada tinggi tanaman dan munculnya bunga jantan memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan. Rata-rata tinggi tanaman varietas F1 jagung putih Arumba sebesar 148,75 cm, sedangkan varietas F1 jagung manis Exsotic Pertiwi sebesar 111,3 cm. Sedangkan  rata-rata waktu  muncul bunga jantan varietas F1 jagung putih Arumba lebih cepat yaitu 45,5 hari. Sedangkan rata-rata varietas F1 jagung manis exsotic pertiwi 51,3 hari.

Abstract

Kelompok Tani Tri Jaya masih sangat tergantung terhadap pestisida kimia. Penggunaan pestisida kimia berdampak negatif terhadap lingkungan sehingga, perlu adanya perubahan pola sistem budidaya yang ramah lingkungan dan terintegrasi yaitu menggunakan pestisida nabati. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan PkM adalah melakukan transfer teknologi pengendalian hama bagi petani padi melalui pendampingan pembuatan dan teknik aplikasi nanoemulsi pestisida nabati untuk pengendalian hama dan penyakit pada tanaman padi di kelompok tani tri jaya di pekon ambarawa, kecamatan ambarawa, kabupaten pringsewu. Alat yang digunakan adalah proyektor, laptop, gelas ukur, sprayer, homogenizer, kamera, alat tulis. Bahan diperlukan antara lain aqudes, tween-80, produk minyak atsiri, dan kuisioner. Tahapan yang digunakan yaitu persiapan, pelatihan dan pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil evaluasi yang diperoleh yaitu sebelum dilakukan kegiatan pendampingan kelompok tani tri jaya belum memahami tentang teknik aplikasi nanoemulsi pestisida nabati untuk pengendalian hama dan penyakit pada tanaman padi. Setelah dilakukan pendampingan kelompok tani tri jaya tertarik untuk menerapkan aplikasi nanoemulsi pestisida nabati untuk pengendalian hama dan penyakit pada tanaman padi. Abstract

The objectives of this study were to determine whether the application of kasgot organic fertilizer can increase the growth and yield of edamame, determine whether the effectiveness of kasgot organic fertilizer is better than non-kasgot organic fertilizer, and determine the best combination of kasgot organic fertilizer and non-kasgot organic fertilizer in increasing the growth and yield of soybeans. The treatments used: no organic fertilizer (control) (P0), non kasgot solid organic fertilizer (P1), non kasgot liquid organic fertilizer (P2), kasgot solid organic fertilizer (P3), kasgot liquid organic fertilizer (P4), non kasgot solid and liquid organic fertilizer (P5), kasgot solid and liquid organic fertilizer (P6), and non kasgot organic fertilizer and kasgot organic fertilizer (P7). The research findings indicate that the application of organic fertilizer enhances the growth and yield of soybeans compared to the control. Specifically, the combination of solid kasgot organic fertilizer (5 t ha-1) with liquid kasgot (50 ml L-1 water) produced the best plant growth and number of pods plant-1. It was also reported that the variables of number of branches, plant height, and plant wet weight significantly positively correlate with the number of pods plant-1.

Abstract

Optimal rice production is very important to meet national food needs amid a decline in harvest area and production yields. This study aims to analyze the influence of rice planting methods and genotype on the growth and yield of rice plants (Oryza sativa L.). The research was conducted on the Lampung State Polytechnic Experimental Land using a factorial Group Random Design (RAK) with two factors: the planting method (legowo row 2:1, planting distance 25x25 cm, and transplanter 2:1) and rice genotype (PTP 01, Inpari 24, Jeliteng, and Pandan Wangi) each method was repeated 3 times. The results of the study show that the interaction of planting methods and rice genotype has a significant effect on the growth and yield of rice plants. The combination of the 2:1 transplanter planting method and the Inpari 24 genotype gave the best results in terms of plant height (101.33 cm), number of saplings (29.33), number of productive saplings (25.00), and yield per hectare (12.48 tons/ha). The 2:1 transplanter planting method and the Inpari 24 genotype can be recommended as the best combination in increasing rice productivity.

Abstract

Determining the harvest time of rice plants is one of the determining factors for the success of rice production. Calculation of harvest time can be done using the heat unit method. This study aims to calculate the accumulation of heat units of several rice genotypes (Oryza sativa L.) in organic and non-organic cultivation systems. This study was conducted in September-December 2023 at Polinela Organic Farm (POF), Lampung State Polytechnic (5°21'10"S 105°13'43"E, 114 m above sea level using a Randomized Complate Block Design (RCBD) with four rice genotypes (PTP 01, Inpari 24, Jaliteng, and Pandan Wangi), which were planted in two different cultivation systems and replicated three times. The results showed that the four rice genotypes used showed significant differences in the accumulation of heat units between organic and non-organic cultivation systems. Organic cultivation systems require a higher average heat unit (1193.1°C days) than non-organic systems (1146.3°C days). Organic cultivation systems provide more stable growth in grain weight per panicle, the number of filled grains per panicle, and fewer empty grains. This demonstrates the importance of genotype selection and cultivation system in optimizing production and harvest time.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income of corn farming in the contract farming program in Rarampadende Village, Dolo Barat District, Sigi Regency. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with primary data collection through questionnaires and interviews, as well as secondary data from official documentation. The analysis includes the calculation of farming income, R/C ratio, and B/C ratio. The results showed that the average farmer income was IDR15.935.000,00 per hectare per planting season. The average R/C ratio of 3,05 indicates that every IDR1,00 of production costs generates an income of IDR3,05; while the average B/C ratio of 2,05 indicates that every IDR1,00 of production costs generates a profit of IDR2,05. This shows that corn farming in this program is profitable. The main obstacles in this program are dependence on partner companies, price gaps, and limited access to technical training.

Abstract

IPB 9G Rice Variety is one of the superior varieties newly developed by the Bogor Agricultural Institute, has high yield potential and efficiency in fertilizer and water use. The study aims to determine the growth and yield response of IPB 9G Variety cultivated using the Bapokok planting method. Bapokok technology is a rice cultivation method that emphasizes efficiency in utilizing planting time intervals and production input costs by utilizing straw as a source of organic material that is more environmentally friendly and sustainable. The study was arranged using a Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with six treatments and four replications. The results showed that plant growth did not differ in the treatments tested, producing an average plant height of 135-145 cm, the number of tillers 4-6 stems per clump, with a leaf greenness level of 34-36 (SPAD). Yield conversion per hectare in various Bapokok planting methods ranged from 6-8 tonha-1. The organic Bapokok planting system treatment (P6) on the IPB 9G variety resulted in the highest average conversion yield of 8 tonha-1.

Abstract

The decrease in soil fertility due to over use of chemical fertilizers encourages the need to increase farmer awareness in utilizing more environmentally friendly nutrient sources. One alternative used in this study is humic acid in powder form. The study aims to determine the effect of humic acid on the growth and yield of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) variety Talam 1. The study was conducted from November 2023 to January 2024 at the Polinela Organic Farm, Lampung State Polytechnic. The parameters observed included plant height, number of branches, chlorophyll content, leaf width, and leaf length; as well as harvest parameters such as pod weight, number of empty pods, and filled pods. The study used a one-factor Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with a comparative treatment of humic acid doses to reduce the use of inorganic NPK fertilizers. The results showed that the height of peanut plants of Talam 1 variety at the age of 1 WAP and 5 WAP did not differ significantly in various applications of humic acid in powder form. The use of humic acid has the potential to increase pod weight per plant in the P2 treatment by 30% from the control and 18.7% from the recommended NPK dose treatment. Humic acid in powder form can be an alternative as an environmentally friendly soil conditioner to support the growth and production of peanuts.

Abstract

West Lampung Regency is one of the coffee-producing centers in Lampung Province. This research was conducted in three sub-districts located in West Lampung Regency, namely Sumber Jaya District, Way Tenong District, and Air Hitam District. This research was conducted in three farmer groups that have cultivated organic robusta coffee, namely the Ampera farmer group, the Langgeng Mulyo farmer group, and the BUMP Gapoktan Lampung Robusta farmer group. The purpose of this study was to examine farmers' perceptions of organic robusta coffee cultivation innovations in West Lampung Regency. The research method was carried out using primary data and secondary data. Data analysis was carried out descriptively quantitatively with the help of tabulation analysis tools. Study results showed that farmers' perceptions of organic robusta coffee cultivation innovations as seen from five characteristic aspects were classified as high or good with a yield value of 76 percent. Keywords: perception, innovation, organic coffee.

Abstract

Edamame potensial untuk dikembangkan sebagai komoditas unggulan karena permintaan pasarnya tinggi, berumur genjah, dan harga jualnya cukup menjanjikan. Namun demikian masih terdapat berbagai tantangan dalam aspek budidaya edamame. Produksi edamame di berbagai tempat dilaporkan masih tergolong rendah. Diperlukan teknik budidaya yang baik dan benar untuk menghasilkan produksi edamame yang tinggi. Edamame banyak dibudidayakan pada akhir musim penghujan atau menjelang musim kemarau.  Pengelolaan lingkungan menjadi faktor yang sangat penting untuk menjaga pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman. Salah satu teknik budidaya edamame yang dapat dilakukan adalah penggunaan mulsa.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan mulsa pada sistem budidaya edamame.  Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Banjarrejo Kecamatan Batanghari Kabupaten Lampung Timur (ketinggian 60 m dpl, jenis tanah Podsolik Merah Kuning,  suhu rata-rata harian 26,86 ⁰C) Juni – Agustus 2020. Penelitian disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan.  Perlakuan terdiri dari : kontrol (M0),  mulsa jerami padi (M1), dan mulsa plastik hitam perak (M2). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan mulsa Jerami dan mulsa plastic hitam perak tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah polong isi 2 dan 3, bobot edamame per batang, dan bobot ubinan.  Produksi rata-rata edamame 13.191 t ha-1.
