Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the Fun Learning method with the use of letter card media can improve early reading skills in grade 1 of Muhammadiyah Elementary School, North City. The problem that often occurs in the learning process in grade 1 of Muhammadiyah Elementary School, North City is that 78.3% or around 15 out of 20 students are still unable to recognize the letters F, G, K, L, Q, R, V, W, X, making it difficult for students to read the beginning. Fun Learning method and the use of Letter Card Media. The results of student observations in cycle 1, students who achieved learning success in cycle 1 were 11 people, the results of teacher observations with a percentage of 70% (Not Successful). The results of student observations in cycle 2, students who achieved learning success were 17 people with a percentage of 85%. The results of teacher observations with a percentage of 88.3% (Successful). It can be concluded that the increase in early reading skills from the percentage of cycle 1 by 55% to cycle 2 by 85% and experienced an increase of 30% which is very good for the success of a study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana efektivitas penerapan metode resitasi dan bagaimana kendala dan upaya guru dalam menerapkan metode resitasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa indonesia terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Motandoi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif untuk mengetahuiefektivitas penerapan metode resitasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa indonesia terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Motandoi, Informan dari penelitian ini sebanyak 5 (lima) orang, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian ini yakni: 1). Efektivitas penerapan metode resitasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa indonesia terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Motandoi, yakni semangat menjawab soal ataupun tugas yang diberikan, selalu ingin duduk dikursi terdepan, tidak bosan dalam belajar, penerpan video interaktif terhadap gairah belajar peserta didik pada materi tentang bersyukur dapat terlihat dari ciri gairah belajar yakni tidak bosan terhadap pembelajaran yang sedang berlangsung. 2). Kendala dan upaya Guru dalam menerapkan metode resitasi pada mata pelajaran bahasa indonesia terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Motandoi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the meaning of Tujaqi poetry in the traditional ceremony of receiving leaders or honour guests. The arrangement of words and sentences in Tujaqi is a message conveyed by traditional officials to guests or leaders. Appreciation for leaders or guests is expected that leaders and guests try to maintain behaviour from bad habits and maintain behaviour that is beneficial to other people, especially the people of Gorontalo who have been willing to welcome them kindly. This research used discourse analysis to analyse Tujaqi meaning. The procedures were collecting data, identifying unit analysis, segmenting the text, identifying language elements, analysing the meaning, and interpreting the context. The research showed that Tujaqi poetry was recited in Pohutu Motombulu, a traditional ceremony in welcoming a leader or honour guest.  Tujaqi can be interpreted as the artistic creativity of the Gorontalo people, composed in the regional language which symbolizes that the Gorontalo people are proud of their regional language, and are pleased with their own variety of literature and culture so that they are considered equal to other regions.

Abstract

The Independent Learning Curriculum is a significant initiative in education designed to provide greater flexibility for educators and students during the learning process. The implementation of this curriculum is expected to increase student engagement and improve the overall quality of education. This research aims to examine how the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar is applied in Islamic secondary educational institutions, such as MTs Al-Ikhwan, and to evaluate its impact on the teaching and learning process. The issues addressed in this study include the methods of implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, the factors influencing its success, the challenges or obstacles encountered, and the perspectives of teachers and students regarding the changes that have occurred. The approach used in this research is qualitative, employing a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and parents, as well as direct observation of learning activities. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar in Islamic secondary educational institutions has yielded positive results, with teachers feeling more freedom in designing lessons and students showing increased motivation. This study demonstrates that the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar has great potential to enhance the quality of learning in Islamic secondary educational institutions. However, its success largely depends on supporting factors such as teacher training, infrastructure, and the integration of Islamic values. The implications of these findings can serve as a foundation for developing more innovative, inclusive, and relevant educational practices that meet the demands of the times. Overall, the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar holds significant potential to improve the quality of education in Islamic secondary educational institutions. With appropriate support from schools and policymakers, existing challenges can be overcome.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian yaitu “Bagaimanakah penggunaan media Ritatoon untuk meningkatkan kemampuan anak mengenal huruf”. Dengan tujuan peneliti yaitu untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan mengenal huruf dan nantinya berguna bagi guru Pendidikan anak usia dini untuk mengembangkan metode dan strategi mengajar khusunya melalui media ritatoon Kelompok B TK Indra 2 Limboto Kabupaten Gorontalo.Penggunan media Ritatoon untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf ini merupakan praktek tindakan yang dilakukan oleh pendidik dan bimbingan dari pihak orang tua atau peneliti dalam kesadaran untuk bisa di biasakan atau dapat membawah bekal untuk masuk dalam jenjang pendidikan sekolah dasar.Peneliti menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas, subjek dari penelitian ini adalah kelompok B berusia 5 sampai 6 tahun yang berjumlah 8 orang yang terdiri dari 2 orang laki-laki dan 6 orang perempuan. Pada tehnik pengumpulan data adalah dari observasi an dokumentasi. Peningkatan pengenalan huruf menggunakan media ritatoon apat di lihat dari jumlah-jumlah presentasenya dari observasi awal sebelum peneliti melakukan tindakan hanya ada 12% , dan pada saat peneliti melakukan tindakan pada siklus I sudah meningkat menjadi 37 % dan pada Siklus II lebih meningkat lagi sampai 75% sesuai target peneliti. Dari hasil penelitian ini kiranya dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran kiranya guru dapat menyiapkan stategi atau media untuk pembelajaran agar dapat membuat anak tertarik untuk proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study addresses the critical gap in the availability of teaching materials aligned with the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework within the Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Development course for Islamic Education Management. In the context of 21st-century educational demands, OBE emphasizes measurable learning outcomes, competency development, and the integration of relevant, future-oriented pedagogical practices. To bridge the disconnect between curriculum design and competency achievement, this research developed and validated OBE-based teaching materials using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model through a mixed-methods Research and Development (R&D) approach. Data were collected from lecturers and students of the Islamic Education Management at IAIN Gorontalo via curriculum document analysis, interviews, observations, expert validation sheets, user response questionnaires, and learning outcome assessments. Quantitative analysis employed eligibility percentages and N-Gain calculations to evaluate material validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Results indicate that the developed materials are valid (expert validation >80%), practical (>80% positive user feedback), and effective (significant improvement in student learning outcomes, as evidenced by N-Gain scores). This study demonstrates that systematically designed OBE-based teaching materials not only enhance curriculum relevance but also strengthen the professional competencies of prospective Islamic educators. The findings offer a replicable model for curriculum innovation in Islamic higher education, supporting the development of adaptive, competitive, and results-driven teacher education programs aligned with global educational standards.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas V MI Al-Huda Gorontalo melalui penerapan permainan kata klos wacana. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami struktur teks eksplanasi, mengembangkan gagasan, serta menggunakan kosakata yang tepat dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 23 siswa kelas V. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdiri atas satu kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi, observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa setelah diterapkannya permainan kata klos wacana. Pada pra-siklus, ketuntasan belajar siswa masih rendah, namun pada siklus I mengalami peningkatan dan pada siklus II seluruh siswa mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Selain itu, aktivitas siswa dan guru selama pembelajaran juga mengalami peningkatan dengan kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian, penerapan permainan kata klos wacana terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas V MI Al-Huda Gorontalo

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi peserta didik melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) menggunakan media komik strip pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi pada peserta didik kelas VI SD Negeri 11 Limboto sebanyak 23 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi aktivitas guru dan peserta didik serta tes hasil belajar menulis karangan narasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada setiap siklus. Aktivitas guru meningkat dari 85% pada siklus I menjadi 93% pada siklus II. Aktivitas peserta didik juga mengalami peningkatan dari 65% pada siklus I menjadi 92% pada siklus II. Selain itu, ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik naik dari 65% menjadi 82% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write berbantuan media komik strip terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi peserta didik di sekolah dasar

Abstract

The Gorontalo language, an Austronesian language spoken in Sulawesi, exhibits rich morphological processes that remain under-documented. As one of the regional languages of Eastern Indonesia, Gorontalo represents a crucial yet underrepresented component of Austronesian linguistic diversity, making its systematic description both timely and necessary. This study investigates its morphological typology, focusing on affixation, reduplication, and agglutinative structure to determine how words are formed and how the language fits within Austronesian morphological frameworks. The investigation is situated within contemporary debates in typology that view morphological systems as dynamic and sensitive to social and communicative pressures. While Gorontalo language is increasingly threatened by the dominance of Indonesian and declining intergenerational transmission, this research prioritizes structural analysis to capture its core morphological mechanisms before potential attrition accelerates. This urgency reflects broader concerns in language endangerment studies, where loss of morphology often precedes large-scale grammatical erosion. Employing a qualitative descriptive design, primary data were collected through field interviews with native speakers across various age groups and social backgrounds. The inclusion of multiple generations allows the study to capture ongoing morphological change alongside established usage patterns. Complementary data were drawn from oral narratives, traditional expressions, and informal conversations. Thematic analysis identified recurring morphological patterns, with attention to both form and sociocultural context. The analysis categorized affix types, examined reduplication functions, and assessed the degree of agglutination versus fusion in word formation. Results indicate that 18 active affixes (10 prefixes, 5 suffixes, and 3 confixes) were identified, demonstrating a highly productive system of affixation as the primary word-formation strategy. Reduplication functions flexibly, not only for plurality but also for aspect, intensity, and lexical derivation. Gorontalo displays predominantly agglutinative morphology, with clearly segmented morphemes combined cumulatively. However, morphophonemic fusion and simplified usage among younger speakers suggest a transitional typology, reflecting ongoing structural change. This study contributes empirical detail to Austronesian linguistics by documenting the morphological dynamics of an understudied language. These findings have direct pedagogical and typological implications, supporting language preservation initiatives, the development of local curricula, and the design of digital tools such, as morphological analyzers and learning applications. It challenges static typological classifications and offers practical insights for language preservation, local curriculum development, and digital documentation tool.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to improve early reading skills through picture storybooks (BCB) in grade 2 of SDN 7 Limboto, using classroom action research (CAR). Learning is carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle has stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 26 students of grade 2 of SDN 7 Limboto. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis in the study used a descriptive percentage formula for teacher activity and early reading skills. This can be seen from the increase in each cycle, namely cycle I obtained 61.3% teacher activity, and 50% initial reading test results, and an increase in cycle II obtained 86.6% teacher activity results, and 92.3% initial reading test results. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the application of picture storybooks (BCB) can improve the early reading skills of grade 2 students of SDN 7 Limboto in Indonesian language learning.Keywords: Beginning Reading, Picture Storybook Media, Indonesian Language Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan melalui media buku cerita bergambar (BCB), di kelas 2 SDN 7 Limboto, dengan menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 2 SDN 7 Limboto yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data pada penelitian menggunakan rumus deskriptif presentase untuk aktivitas guru, dan kemampuan membaca permulaan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan tiap siklus, yakni siklus I memperoleh aktivas guru 61,3%, dan hasil tes membaca permulaan 50%, dan terjadi peningkatan pada siklus II memperoleh hasil aktivitas guru 86,6%, dan hasil tes membaca permulaan 92,3%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan media buku cerita bergambar (BCB) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 2 SDN 7 Limboto pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.Kata Kunci: Membaca Permulaan, Media Buku cerita Bergambar, Bahasa Indonesia
