Abstract

Riau Islands, which are identical with the fishermen's profession for the people, has the potential to process marine products into superior products. One area that work as a fisherman is Kampung Rempang Cate. This village is located in Galang sub-district, Batam City. Fish catches are processed into food and souvenirs such as fish crackers, rose cakes, lung crackers, empek-empek and others. This village has internet so that people can access social media, but it has not been fully utilized in the economic field. Social media can be used as a media for promoting products and has the potential to improve the economy of the community. Bad weather sometimes happens, causing fishermen not possible to go to sea. When this happens, people can process resource from the sea into food or souvenir that can be sold to other regions such as Batam City through digital marketing. The purpose of this community engagement is to provide training on how to promote products from fish catches and other resources through digital marketing. The community no longer needs to sell processed products directly to Batam City, with no small costs and uncertain buyers. The current positive impact that has been seen is the increase in people's knowledge and insights into digital marketing and improving the community's economy from the implementation of activities.

Abstract

In early 2020, the world was shocked by the spread of new viruses, the new type of corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) and the disease called Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Likewise, in the Riau Islands Province Particularly Batam City became a red zone affected by COVID-19, but there are still many local people who do activities to support their families. Based on the background described above, the service providers focus on making manuals and animation media so that COVID-19 prevention information is conveyed to the local community in order to maintain the economic stability of the community. The purpose of this Community Service Activity is to create, compile and distribute books. Covid-19 prevention non-authoritative guide so that people have awareness and participate in minimizing the spread of corona virus in Batam, designing and distributing animated videos of Covid-19 prevention guide so that people have awareness and participate in minimizing the spread of corona virus in Batam, socializing education guide books and animated videos so that people maintain health and safety in the Covid-19 Pandemic period, socializing educational guide books and animated videos to support the economic stability of the community. The Community Service Program of the Batam State Polytechnic Business Management program has been implemented and is running well which is participated by all groups and sectors in Batam City

Abstract

This study aims to find out the performance of the queuing system at SPBU 14.294.722 Vitka Poin, Batam City on Pertalite fuel for motorcycles. The performance of the queuing system was analyzed to whether it has reached the optimal level. The data were collected through interviews and observations. Then, the obtained data were analyzed using a single line queuing system (single-channel, single-phase). The study used quantitative data in which the calculation was assisted by the "POM-QM Queuing Analysis" software. Based on the result of the single-channel single-phase analysis, the performance of the queuing system applied by the 14.294.722 Vitka Poin, Batam City gas station is optimal. It is because the server utilization level or the average operator's busyness level for 7 days is 72.11 %, and the remaining 27.89% of the busy time is idle time, which is the time when the service is not performed. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of performance at the 14.294.722 Vitka Poin, Batam City gas stations is quite good by referring to the average time required by customers in the queue which is only 0.0139 hours or 0.8322 minutes, and the time required by customers in the system is 0.0192 hours or 1.1541 minutes, and the average number of customers waiting in the queue is only 1.846 or 2 people and the average number of customers waiting in the system is 2.5857 or 3 people. The results indicate that there is no need for additional servers as the performance of using 1 server is quite good.

Abstract

Di dalam gedung TFME terdapat kegiatan yang digunakan sebagai tempat produksi dan praktikum mahasiswa Jurusan Elektro yaitu produksi material PCB. Salah satu area yang sangat penting adalah area gudang. Tempat Penampungan Sementara Limbah B3 menyimpan berbagai material penunjang produksi dan menyimpan berbagai jenis bahan kimia. Namun, gudang untuk bahan kimia dan material non-kimia di gedung TFME masih berada di satu tempat yang sama. Sehingga, perlu diadakan penelitian terhadap lokasi gudang yang lama dan solusi – solusi baru yang dapat diimplementasikan pada Tempat Penampungan Sementara Limbah B3 yang baru. Dalam penelitian ini di desain Tempat Penampungan Sementara Limbah B3 dan SOP dalam penyimpanannya.

Abstract

By evaluating and identifying variables from the variables evaluated, this research investigates the complexity of factors that affect users of online transportation services' satisfaction and loyalty. A questionnaire was selected as the data gathering strategy and tool for the quantitative investigation. PLS-SEM, or partial least squares structural equation modeling, was used to analyze the given data. The findings demonstrate that two factors—perceived app benefits and perceived service quality—can be significantly used to predict consumer loyalty and happiness while utilizing online transportation services, particularly Go-ride and Grab bike services. Customer happiness is unaffected significantly by the perceived sales promotion component, but customer loyalty is significantly impacted. Meanwhile, the effect of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty has a positive but insignificant effect.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji tentang Penilaian Tingkat Depresi, Kecemasan, dan Stres pada Karyawan di Bank XYZ dengan Menggunakan Metode DASS 42 Test. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat depresi, kecemasan, dan stres pada karyawan. penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian comparative research dengan pendekatan yaitu kuantitatif dan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan Uji Normalitas, Uji Homogenitas, Uji Mann-Whitney dan Uji Kruskal-Wallis dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,05. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan tingkat depresi, kecemasan, dan stres secara parsial berdasarkan gender, tidak terdapat perbedaan tingkat depresi, kecemasan, dan stres secara parsial berdasarkan beban kerja, dan terdapat perbedaan tingkat depresi, kecemasan, dan stres secara parsial berdasarkan masa kerja. Tingkat depresi, kecemasan, dan stres karyawan perempuan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan karyawan laki-laki dan tingkat depresi, kecemasan, dan stres karyawan yang baru bekerja lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan karyawan yang sudah lama bekerja.

Abstract

Every company has a responsibility to build a safety culture and safety climate in its work environment. As workers in the production operator section, women workers interact with the production environment, physically in contact with production tools or machines. The work of women in production as operators can be vulnerable to the risk of accidents and long-term health disruption which can ultimately have implications for the quality of life of the working women themselves and their families. The company needs to make an organised effort to realise the behaviour of awareness on safety and health of working women which is expected to have implications for the performance of women in the workplace, so it is necessary to assess (evaluate) the extent of safety culture in Assembly-based manufacturing companies in Batam. The results showed that 1). Management Commitment to Worker Behaviour is positive and significant. So Management Commitment also has a direct effect on the performance of female employees. 2) Involvement (worker involvement) has a significant effect on worker behaviour and has a direct effect on the performance of female employees.3), that Safety Competence has an effect on worker behaviour and performance of female employees. Simultaneous test results show that Management Commitment, Involvement, Safety competence and Worker behaviour have a positive and significant effect on the performance of female employees in assembly-based manufacturing companies in Batam. It can be said that assembly-based manufacturing companies have implemented safety culture for female workers in the production operator section.

Abstract

Kampung Melayu Batu Besar Batam adalah salah satu desa wisata yang terdapat di Kota Batam. Kampung ini terletak tidak jauh dari Bandara Udara Hang Nadim Batam. Terdapat salah satu wisata yang terkenal di kampung ini yaitu Pantai Melayu. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kewirausahaan yang berfokus pada pelatihan pengemasan produk dan membentuk Komunitas Usaha Wanita di Kampung Melayu Batu Besar Batam. Adapun manfaat Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat dari Jurusan Manajemen ini antara lain manfaat memberikan pelatihan kewirausahaan bagi remaja putri dan ibu-ibu di Kampung Melayu Batam untuk menciptakan pengusaha-pengusaha baru yang mandiri sehingga dapat memperbaiki taraf hidup dan perekonomian keluarga dan menciptakan Komunitas Usaha di Kampung Melayu yang berkelanjutan dan dimonitoring oleh Politeknik Negeri Batam agar dampak kewirausahaan yang diberikan menjadi nyata dan secara langsung berguna untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan Kampung Melayu.

Abstract

Tanjung Lesung, Indonesia's first Tourism Special Economic Zone (SEZ), suffered setbacks from the 2018 tsunami and the COVID-19 pandemic. These crises led to decreased tourist visits, raising safety concerns and impacting the area’s image. Thus, this study explores the role of digital platform-based promotion in revitalizing Tanjung Lesung SEZ by assessing the effectiveness of Tanjung Lesung’s official digital channels in rebuilding its brand, enhancing engagement, and attracting visitors as well as using the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) framework to develop actionable strategies that contribute to an enhanced digital marketing strategy for Tanjung Lesung. This research is a descriptive qualitative method, incorporating surveys and interviews from the Penta helix point of view and undertaking digital analytics. This study found that word-of-mouth remains a powerful tool in attracting visitors to Tanjung Lesung. Thus, the findings suggest that leveraging personal recommendations from friends and family contributes significantly to building a positive reputation. Therefore, The digital strategy encourages visitors to share their experiences online, further amplifying word-of-mouth impact and building community trust

Abstract

Keadaan darurat bisa terjadi kapan saja dan di mana saja. Banyak nyawa dalam kondisi darurat sebenarnya bisa diselamatkan apabila ditangani dengan cepat oleh orang yang paham tentang bagaimana bertindak pada saat darurat tersebut. Oleh sebab itu semakin banyak masyarakat yang tahu tentang bagaimana bertindak dalam kondisi darurat seperti kecelakaan, tenggelam, tersedak dan lain sebagainya, maka akan semakin banyak nyawa yang bisa tertolong. Masalah aktual yang terjadi saat ini adalah rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat terutama ibu-ibu mengenai pertolongan pertama pada bayi dananak yang mengalami tersedak dan Bantuan Dasar Hidup. Oleh karena itu, edukasi tentang pertolongan pertama kecelakaan di keluarga sangatlah penting, tidak hanya kepada Ibu Rumah Tangga saja, tetapi kepada seluruh anggota keluarga. Pengabdian ini melibatkan Ibu Rumah Tangga dan Ibu Karir pada Komunitas Batam Babywearers. Dalam Pengabdian Masyarakat ini Politeknik Negeri Batam bekerja sama dengan Palang Merah Indonesia Batam dalam melaksanakan Pelatihan Bantuan Dasar Hidup pada Bayi dan Balita.
