Abstract

Religious tolerance among students is very important in creating harmony in a multicultural university environment. This study aims to explore the views, attitudes, and experiences of Medan State University students regarding religious tolerance.The method used was quantitative research with data collection through a digital questionnaire distributed to 30 random students. The results showed that the majority of Medan State University students showed inclusive attitudes and good tolerance towards religious differences, in line with the values of brotherhood in Islamic teachings. Toleransi beragama di kalangan mahasiswa sangat penting dalam menciptakan kerukunan di lingkungan perguruan tinggi yang multikultural. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pandangan, sikap, dan pengalaman mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Medan terkait toleransi beragama. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner digital yang disebarkankepada 30 mahasiswa secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Medan menunjukkan sikap inklusif dan toleransi yang baik terhadap perbedaan agama, sejalan dengan nilai-nilai persaudaraan dalam ajaran Islam.

Abstract

This study focuses on women's perspectives and elaborates on the growing “Marriage is Scary” phenomenon on social media. The research involved female respondents in a survey to learn their perspectives on gender roles in marriage, the risks that may arise, and marriage itself. The results showed that many respondents consider marriage to be an important part of their lives as it can provide emotional support and maintain the purity of the couple. However, bad experiences of others and negative content on social media, such as infidelity and domestic violence, cause fear of marriage.

Abstract

Method research used in This Study is an experiment with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a nonequivalent control group design, involving two groups: class experiments and control classes. North Sumatra. With a population comprising all private junior high school students, national heroes, and research samples, this Study involves two classes. Technique data collection in research This is observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Then, the data obtained will be analyzed using descriptive analysis, Validity Tests, Reliability Tests, Normality Tests, Homogeneity Tests, and hypothesis tests with the SPSS 25 application. From the independent t-test, it is known that Sig. The value (2-tailed) is 0.000 or < 0.05. This means there is a significant mean difference in motivation between the group class control, conventional learning, and the class experiment using a learning model, as well as the opinion (Brainstorming) study. Abstract

Kompetensi profesional guru merupakan perilaku rasional guna mencapai tujuan yang dipersyaratkan sesuai dengan kondisi yang diharapkan. Disiplin siswa diartikan sebagai kepatuhan dan ketaatan siswa terhadap berbagai aturan dan tata tertib yang berlaku di sekolah Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi hubungan antara kompetensi profesional guru dengan peningkatan karakter disiplin siswa, khususnya pada siswa kelas XI di SMA Perguruan Yayasan Gajah Mada pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Yayasan Perguruan Gajah Mada yang berlokasi di Jalan HM.Said, Gaharu, Kecamatan Medan Timur, Kota Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat korelasional, dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah kompetensi profesional guru (x) dan tingkat karakter disiplin siswa (y). Untuk menguji hipotesis peneliti menggunakan rumus Chi kuadrat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi profesional guru memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat karakter disiplin siswa, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.000. Temuan ini memperkuat bahwa kompetensi guru yang meliputi penguasaan materi, keterampilan mengajar, serta kemampuan interpersonal, seperti pengelolaan kelas dan sikap teladan, berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter siswa.

Abstract

This study was conducted because the learning outcomes of students in PPKn lessons are still low. Based on observations, one of the main causes of low learning outcomes is the monotonous learning model and focuses on lectures, so that students are less motivated and not actively involved in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model on PPKn learning outcomes in grade VII students of SMP Nelgelri 3 Sitiotio. The research method used is a pretest-posttest control group design. This study uses a quantitative questionnaire research model, which involves data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The population of this study was all students of SMP Nelgelri 3 Sitiotio, and the sample of this study was grade VII students of Classes A and B. This study is a type of Quasi-Evaluative Test Type Non-Equivalent Control Group Test, which uses an interview group and a control group. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, documentation, and test results sheets. The instrument used was the test results sheet. Data analysis techniques involve statistical calculations in the form of numerical data and comparing the average value of the posttest results between the experimental group and the control group. This research will be conducted on grade VII students of SMP Nelgri 3 Sitiotio, Delsa Holbung, Sitiotio District, Samosir Regency. The results of the study showed that the problem-based learning model had a significant effect on improving students' PPKn learning outcomes. The experiment group experienced an average increase of 24.19 points (from 47.62 to 71.81), while the control group only experienced an increase of 2.32 points (from 53.26 to 55.58). The results of the Paired Sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, proving a significant difference between the pretest and posttest in the experiment group. The results of the Independent Samples t-Test test also showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that the PBL model is more effective than conventional learning. The highest increase occurred in the ability to evaluate (C5) by 45%, followed by the ability to apply (C3) and analyze (C4) which each reached 96%. This study proves that the problem-based learning model can improve student learning outcomes in cognitive aspects in PPKn lessons and can be used as an alternative effective learning model.

Abstract

Currently, digital platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok have become the main means for students to access, disseminate, and discuss religious information quickly and interactively. Social media presents Islamic content that is engaging, easily accessible, and packaged in a visual format that aligns with the preferences of the younger generation, who tend to favor concise and audiovisual information. This study aims to examine the extent to which the use of social media by students at Universitas Negeri Medan affects their understanding of Islamic teachings. The research was conducted using an associative quantitative approach, employing a questionnaire distributed online via Google Forms to measure the impact of social media usage on students' understanding of Islam. The number of respondents involved was 39 students from various majors and faculties. The results of the data analysis using simple linear regression show that social media usage has a positive and significant impact on Islamic understanding among students, as evidenced by a t-value of 3.509, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.0262, and a significance value of 0.001, which is less than 0.05. These findings reinforce that social media has a significant contribution to enhancing the understanding of Islam among students at Universitas Negeri Medan.

Abstract

Inclusive education is a crucial global issue to ensure equal learning rights for all children, including people with disabilities. In Indonesia, especially in the context of Islamic education, the integration of Islamic values into an inclusive curriculum still faces challenges, such as limited teacher training and suboptimal curriculum design. This study aims to identify and analyze inclusive curriculum models in Islamic educational institutions based on Islamic values. This study was conducted using a systematic literature review method of 24 scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025. The results of the analysis show that the application of Islamic values such as at-ta'aruf (knowing each other), at-tasammuh (tolerance), at-tawassuth (moderation), and at-ta'awun (cooperation) can strengthen an inclusive curriculum. Teachers play a key role in adapting learning to the needs of students and collaborating with parents and communities. Curriculum adaptation and the use of technology also support the creation of a fair and friendly learning environment for all students. This study contributes to the development of a more responsive Islamic education curriculum and serves as a practical reference for policymakers and practitioners in designing inclusive and contextual learning systems.

Abstract

Tujuan dari riset ini yakni mengidentifikasi Dampak Pendidikan Agama Islam pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED) terhadap perilaku moral generasi muda. Latar belakang penelitian ini menyoroti signifikansi Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam pengembangan moralitas generasi muda, terutama di institusi perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kuantitatif dengan populasi yang terdiri dari siswa aktif di Fakultas Ekonomi yang mengambil mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Islam. Karena nilai thitung (4,254) > dari nilai ttabel (1,70113), dan nilai signifikansi (p-value) untuk Pendidikan Agama Islam adalah 0,000 (yang < 0,05), maka Hipotesis Nol (H0) ditolak. Ini berarti secara statistik dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pendidikan Agama Islam memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif terhadap Sikap Moral Remaja. Dengan kata lain, semakin baik Pengaruh Pendidikan Agama Islam yang dimiliki atau diterapkan, semakin tinggi pula Sikap Moral Remaja di Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana peran pendidikan Islam dalam mencegah perilaku LGBT di kalangan generasi muda. Fenomena LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual, dan Transgender) semakin menjadi perbincangan hangat di berbagai kalangan, terutama di tengah masyarakat yang menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai agama dan budaya. Di Indonesia, sebagai negara dengan mayoritas penduduk Muslim, keberadaan LGBT sering kali dianggap bertentangan dengan norma-norma agama dan sosial yang berlaku. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuisioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Agama Islam memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam mencegah perilaku LGBT di kalangan generasi muda dengan cara membentuk karakter dan moral generasi muda agar tetap berpegang teguh pada ajaran agama dan menjauhi perilaku yang dianggap menyimpang. Pendidikan Islam tidak hanya bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan agama secara teoritis, tetapi juga menanamkan nilai-nilai moral dan etika yang kuat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam konteks isu LGBT, mayoritas responden dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik bahwa perilaku LGBT bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam dan berpotensi membawa dampak negatif bagi individu maupun masyarakat. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam merumuskan strategi yang efektif dalam membina moral dan karakter generasi muda sesuai dengan ajaran Islam.
