Abstract

The development and use of diagnostic tests in the form of multiple choice four levels in biology learning are still lacking. This study aims to develop a valid and reliable four-tier multiple-choice test instrument to identify the conception profile of high school students on the concept of transport across membranes. The research method is in the form of development research by adapting the Kilic and Saglam models which consist of three stages, namely defining content, obtaining information on student misunderstandings, and developing tests. The research instruments used were validation sheets, test instruments, and interview sheets. Descriptive statistical analysis techniques were used to analyze the data in this study. The results showed that 15 items developed were declared valid and the reliability coefficient of the test was 0.82, including the very reliable category. Thus, it can be concluded that the four-tier multiple-choice test instrument developed has met the validity and reliability requirements to identify the conception profile of high school students about the concept of transport across membranes. The four-tier multiple-choice test developed can be used by high school teachers as an accurate test to identify the conception profile of their students because it can distinguish between students who understand the concept, do not understand the concept, or who experience misconceptions about the concept of transport across membranes.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a OrSAEv model learning materials based on role-playing for effective disaster mitigation to improve flood disaster mitigation preparedness, identify anxiety and enjoyment in junior high school. This type of research is the four-Dodels. The research subjects were 29 students of grade VII at SMPN 2 Kalitidu. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion that has been carried out, it shows that the development of learning material are valid with the validity value of each Leson Plans 100%, Student Worksheet 98%, Student Book 94%, Test Questions 96%, Mitigation Questionnaire 100%, The Enjoyment Questionnaire 100%, and the Anxiety Questionnaire 100%. In addition, the learning tools that have been developed are also stated to be implemented measures based on the results of the implementation of the lesson plans from 3 meetings with 94.1%, 93.8% and 92.9%, respectively, for the student response questionnaire a score of 2.5 indicates that the students respond well. Student learning outcomes improve Based on the poster analysis, the criteria are quite good. The criteria for disaster mitigation simulation skills are quite good. The results of the enjoyment questionnaire showed that students did not enjoy it, while the anxiety questionnaire showed that students did not feel anxiety. Recommendations that can be given are pre-learning activities required, understanding the use of software, introduction to students about the orsaev learning model based role-playing.

Abstract

This article was created to identify the effect of the Problem Based Learning model in improving students' critical thinking. The data collection method is in the form of a literature study. This article explains that problem-based learning is a learning model that focuses on students' solving problems in physics concepts. Critical thinking is the student's ability to analyze and evaluate the information received to conclude appropriately. The results of the literature study showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills in the learning process with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The application of Problem Based Learning has an average increase of about 50% after the learning pattern is applied. The existence of the PBL learning model is effectively used to improve students' critical thinking, which incidentally in solving physics concepts requires the ability to analyze and evaluate to conclude.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the skills needed by students in the 21st century. The research aims to describe and analyze the application of the SETS approach in improving students' critical thinking skills in Indonesia. The method used in this study is a qualitative method of secondary data in the form of a literature study based on the results of previous research. The sample in this study was 20 published scientific articles. Based on the analysis of 20 articles analyzed, it can be seen that the SETS approach can improve students' critical thinking skills which include increasing the N-gain value, positive student responses during learning, and student activity. Further research should integrate other innovative learning models with the SETS approach so that they can be used to develop other 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan media permainan congklak dari barang bekas pada materi pencemaran lingkungan yang layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan modifikasi tahap rancangan pengembangan R & D dari Sugiyono dengan 8 tahapan meliputi: (1) tahap potensi dan masalah, (2) pengumpulan data, (3) desain produk, (4) telaah, (5) revisi desain, (6) validasi desain, (7) revisi desain, (8) produk layak pakai. Kelayakan media yang dikembangkan diukur secara teoritis melalui proses validasi yang dilakukan oleh dosen ahli materi dan dosen ahli media. Terdapat 4 kriteria yang menjadi penilaian dalam validasi media permainan congklak yang dikembangkan yaitu meliputi kriteria isi, kriteria penyajian, kriteria persyaratan permainan pendidikan dan kriteria kebahasaan. Data hasil validasi dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan diinterpretasikan menggunakan Tabel skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas media permainan congklak dari barang bekas sebesar 91,1% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Berdasarkan hasil validasi tersebut maka media permainan congklak dari barang bekas dikategorikan sebagai media pembelajaran yang layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis.Kata Kunci: validitas, media permainan congklak, berpikir kritis

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to solve problems. This research aims to produce the validity of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model of science learning tools integrated with scientific literacy to improve the problem solving skills of class VIII junior high school students. The research method used is the development method with Four-D (4D) stages.The subjects of this study were validated learning tools including the syllabus, lesson plans (RPP), Student Worksheets, and problem-solving ability tests. While the object of this research is the level of validity of the learning device. The data analysis technique was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner based on the assessment of three validators. The results of the validation by three validators concluded that the syllabus had an average score of 3.97 with valid criteria, the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) had an average score of 3.84 with a valid category, Student Worksheet with an average score 3.70 in the valid category and the problem-solving ability test assessment instrument gets an average score of 3.60 in the valid category. Based on the results of this validity analysis, the learning materials developed was declared valid for use in learning. Thus the learning materials developed can be used as an alternative in improving the problem solving ability of students in their learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pengembangan LKS berbasis Inkuiri terbimbing pada Materi Pencemaran Lingkungan untuk Melatihkan Keterampilan Proses Sains. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Lembar Kerja Siswa Buku Siswa dan tes keterampilan proses sains. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-A, Kelas VII-B dan Kelas VII-C SMPN 1 Pamekasan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dan pembahasan, maka kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut : 1) Kelayakan LKS berdasarkan aspek validitas untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains yang dikembangkan berkriteria valid dan sangat valid. 2) Kelayakan LKS berdasarkan aspek kepraktisan: Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains pada kelas VII A, VII B, dan VII C memiliki kategori sangat baik, aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pencemaran lingkungan memiliki kategori sangat baik. 3) Kelayakan LKS berdasarkan aspek keefektifan: Keterampilan proses sains siswa sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pencemaran lingkungan mengalami perbedaan, terjadi peningkatan pada kelas VII A, VII B dan VII C, Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pencemaran lingkungan yang telah dikembangkan mendapatkan respon positif dengan kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Technological developments have affected all aspects of life, including education. Advances in technology require people to be technologically literate. In addition, the occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic also requires learning to be carried out online. This requires teachers to be able to develop teaching materials that can be accessed easily by students during the learning process. The learning process must also support the achievement of 21st-century skills, one of which is critical thinking. SSI-based learning can train critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Electronic Student Worksheet based on socio-scientific issues (SSI) on environmental pollution materials to train the critical thinking skills of class VII students. The implementation was carried out on three class VII study groups using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Effectiveness in terms of increasing critical thinking skills during the learning. The improvement in critical thinking skills of students in grades VII-1, VII-3, and VII-4 is significant in the moderate category, with an N-Gain score of 0.48, 0.52, and 0.51. The student's response is positive, with a mode value of 4.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukan penelitian adalah untuk menghasilkan sumber belajar berbasis blog pada materi ekosistem yang layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap sumber belajar blog. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan dengan rancangan penelitian model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) tanpa melakukan tahap Disseminate. Instrumen yang dipilih untuk menghimpun data berupa lembar validasi dan angket. Pengumpulan data dengan metode validasi serta angket. Data yang diperoleh berupa hasil validasi yang terdiri dari aspek penyajian, isi dan bahasa, serta respon peserta didik dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa sumber belajar berbasis blog pada materi ekosistem layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk melatihkan berpikir kritis, dengan validitas 93% yang terdiri dari aspek penyajian validitasnya 86%, aspek isi 100%, dan aspek bahasa 95%. Peserta didik merespon positif terhadap kepraktisan sumber belajar berbasis blog yang dikembangkan. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu sumber belajar berbasis blog pada materi ekosistem yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X. Abstract

Objective: This study analyzes the trend of implementing environmental education in science research. Method: This research was conducted using the bibliometric literature study method. The data collection of this study used a Scopus database and was analyzed by the Vosviewer application. Result: From this study known that there is a significant increase in environmental education science research. The highest number of publications carried out in 2021 was six articles. The results of the VOSviewer visualization found 3 clusters red, green, and blue. Red cluster show related keyword research about education, curriculum, learning science, and education program. Green cluster show related keyword research about environmental education and science education. Blue cluster show related keyword research about sustainable development, science and technology, environmental technology, environmental science, and environmental sustainability. From the cluster, there are known that some theme related can be used to combine and use to research environmental education in science. Novelty: Analysis of these research trends can be used as a reference and a means of developing self-abilities concerning being an environmental educator in schools. Implementing environmental education can make students better understand and explore their abilities in science.
