Abstract

Critical thinking skills are key skills that must be developed in 21st century education. This research is a development research that aims to produce E-LKPD based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Gallery Walk on environmental change material to improve high school students' critical thinking skills that are worthy of being studied based on their validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research uses a 4-D development model that includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instruments include expert validation sheets, implementation observation sheets, student response questionnaire sheets, and pre-test and post-test sheets. The experiment was conducted on 20 grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Gresik. The results showed that E-LKPD produced a very valid validity of 96.1%, was declared very practical with the achievement of very practical implementation of 98.5% and student responses of 98.6%, then was declared very effective with reference to the results of student learning completion based on KKTP of 100% and the achievement of high category critical thinking skills through the acquisition of n-gain 0.81. Based on this research, ELKPD based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Gallery Walk on environmental change material to improve high school students' critical thinking skills is declared valid, practical and effective to be used as teaching material in training students' critical thinking skills. Keywords: Research on the Development of E-LKPD, Validity of E-LKPD, Practicality of E-LKPD and Effectiveness of E-LKPD.

Abstract

Purpose - This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective Vlog-based learning tool, integrated with the local wisdom of Kampung Semanggi Surabaya, to train high school students' creative thinking skills in ecosystem materials.Methodology - This research is a development study using the ADDIE model, which comprises five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The tools developed include teaching modules, student worksheets, Vlog media, and pretest-posttest instruments. The research subjects consisted of three expert validators, field observers, and 10th-grade high school students in the trial stage. Data were collected through validation sheets, observation sheets, and creative thinking skills tests. Data analysis was performed using percentages for validity and practicality and N-Gain calculations for effectiveness.Findings - The results showed that the teaching modules, Vlog media, LKPD, and test instruments achieved 93.50%, 88.50%, 89.00%, and 88.25%, respectively, all in the highly valid category. The results of the practicality test, based on the implementation of learning, showed an average implementation of 97.7% and a highly practical rating. The effectiveness test results showed an increase in students' creative thinking skills, as indicated by pretest-posttest scores, with an N-Gain value in the moderate range.Contribution - This study contributes to the development of a local wisdom-based biology learning tool that integrates digital media and the PjBL model, which has been proven effective in training students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Science process skills are among the essential competencies that students must master in the 21st century. However, the level of science process skills among students in Indonesia remains relatively low and has not been optimally developed in classroom learning activities. The development of interactive electronic student worksheets (E-LKPD) represents a strategic approach to enhancing student's science process skills. This study aims to develop a guided inquiry-based interactive E-LKPD on environmental pollution to train student's science process skills and to evaluate its feasibility based on its validity. The developed E-LKPD offers several innovative features, including automatic time tracking, integration within a single website without the need to switch between pages, automatic feedback for each question and overall performance, as well as offline accessibility. This study employed the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The feasibility of the E-LKPD was evaluated by a content expert, an education expert, and a high school biology teacher. The validation process evaluated three dimensions: presentation, content, and language, using a 4-point Likert scale ranging from 1 (poor) to 4 (excellent). The validity data were analyzed statistically by calculating the average score. The results showed that the E-LKPD obtained a presentation validity score of 98.33%, a content validity score of 100%, and a language validity score of 98.33%. With a cumulative score of 98.89%, the E-LKPD was categorized as highly valid. The results indicate that the guided inquiry-based interactive E-LKPD on environmental pollution is suitable for classroom implementation to train student's science process skills.
