Abstract

As the phenomenon of Indonesian students studying abroad increases, the number of concerns of Indonesian students in facing the challenges of financial management while studying abroad also increases. That is why proper and correct financial management is needed. Amānāh finance is financial management both individually and institutionally based on the values ​​of Amānāh in order to realize blessings. The purpose of the community service program is to socialize personal financial management while studying in Egypt. The target of this community service program is Indonesian students who are studying in Egypt. The method used is to conduct training or workshops on personal financial management based on the values ​​of Amānāh . The training begins with a pre-test before delivering the socialization material about Amānāh finance. The pre-test is to see the extent of the training participants' understanding of Amānāh financial management. The training ends with a post-test, to see the increase in understanding after being given socialization and training related to Amānāh finance. The results of community service show an increase in students' understanding of financial management material based on Amānāh values. This can be seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test of students who have increased. When the pre-test was carried out on the questions given, the correctness value obtained ranged from 70% - 80%, and after being given the material and a post-test was held, the value increased to 95% - 100%.

Abstract

Caesarean Section (CS) is a surgical procedure to remove the fetus through an incision in the abdominal wall and uterine wall. A common problem in post-CS patients is pain. Deep breathing relaxation and guided imagery are non-pharmacological techniques to reduce pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of deep breathing relaxation techniques combined with guided imagery accompanied by music on the pain scale in post-CS patients. The methods of this study used a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test post-test design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling where a sample of 32 respondents was obtained. The data analysis technique used a paired sample t-test program with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of this study are the pain scale before the intervention was moderate pain (56.3%) and severe pain (43.7%). Meanwhile, the pain scale after the intervention was mild pain (40.6%), moderate pain (50%), and severe pain (9.4%) with a ρ value of 0.001 < α = 0.05. The conclusion of this study is deep breathing relaxation techniques combined with guided imagery and music can reduce pain intensity in post-CS patients. These techniques can be implemented according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) so that nurses don't focus solely on pharmacological therapy.

Abstract

Abstrak Stroke menjadi penyebab kecacatan nomor satu dan penyebab kematian nomor dua setelah penyakit jantung iskemik di Indonesia. Stroke merupakan kondisi hilangnya fungsi otak yang disebabkan oleh berhentinya suplai darah ke otak. Distribusi kasus stroke di Jawa Timur menunjukkan tahun 2019 (>1.989 kasus), tahun 2020 (>1.218 kasus), dan tahun 2021 (>1.357 kasus) kasus tertinggi berada di Kota Surabaya selama tiga tahun berturut-turut. Faktor risiko utama stroke adalah hipertensi. Penderita hipertensi di Kecamatan Gubeng sebanyak 33.561 orang yang artinya 25,3% penduduk menderita hipertensi yang berpotensi mengalami serangan stroke. Ketidaktahuan dalam menurunkan tekanan darah, adanya kebiasaan seperti merokok, konsumsi alkohol, kurangnya olahraga, konsumsi natrium dan lemak menjadikan seseorang berisiko mengalami stroke. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan efikasi diri penderita dan keluarga melalui pendampingan dengan pemberian dukungan psikososial. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan selama 4 minggu dengan melibatkan 150 penderita hipertensi. Tim pengabdi memberikan pendampingan dan edukasi tentang kewaspadaan terhadap stroke serta cara memodifikasi gaya hidup. Hasil kuesioner didapatkan pengetahuan responden sebelum kegiatan pendampingan, mayoritas memiliki pengetahuan cukup 58.7% dan setelah kegiatan pendampingan menjadi pengetahuan baik 78.7%. Selain itu, juga diperoleh hasil efikasi diri responden sebelum kegiatan pendampingan, mayoritas memiliki efikasi diri cukup 60.7% dan setelah kegiatan pendampingan menjadi efikasi diri baik 74.7%. Setelah kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan efikasi diri guna mencegah terjadinya stroke pada penderita hipertensi. Kata kunci: hipertensi; psikososial; self-efficacy; stroke

Abstract

AbstrakPengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi keuangan, memperkenalkan konsep investasi, serta memperkenalkan teknologi finansial bagi generasi muda. Pengabdian dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan edukasi yang diselenggarakan di SMA Kristen Calvin Jakarta pada tanggal 31 Juli 2023 dengan peserta siswa-siswi dari kelas XII IPS 1 dan XII IPS 2. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dan siswi tentang konsep dasar keuangan, mulai dari pengelolaan uang pribadi, pentingnya menyisihkan tabungan, hingga memahami berbagai instrumen investasi yang tersedia serta risiko yang timbul pada investasi tersebut. Selain itu, pengabdian ini juga memperkenalkan teknologi finansial sebagai alat yang dapat mempermudah akses terhadap layanan keuangan sehingga transaksi atau investasi yang dilakukan lebih efektif dan efisien. Evaluasi terhadap efektivitas pengabdian dilakukan melalui survei yang dibagikan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa peserta telah memiliki literasi keuangan yang baik, dan literasi keuangan tersebut semakin meningkat setelah diadakan edukasi. Peserta juga telah mengenal produk-produk keuangan, pentingnya literasi keuangan, pentingnya teknologi finansial, serta pentingnya pengetahuan mengelola keuangan, juga pentingnya pengelolaan risiko dalam berinvestasi. Namun demikian, belum banyaknya produk keuangan yang dimiliki oleh responden menjadi catatan penting dari pengabdian ini, bahwa inklusi keuangan pada generasi muda masih perlu ditingkatkan. Kata kunci: investasi; literasi keuangan; pengelolaan keuangan; teknologi finansial AbstractThis community service aims to elevate financial literacy, introduce investment concepts, and familiarize the younger generation with financial technology. The initiative was conducted through educational activities held at Calvin Christian Senior High School in Jakarta on July 31, 2023, involving students from the XII IPS 1 and XII IPS 2 classes. The primary objective of these activities was to enhance the student's comprehension of fundamental financial concepts, encompassing personal financial management, the significance of savings allocation, and an understanding of various available investment instruments and associated risks. Moreover, this initiative introduced financial technology as a facilitative tool for accessing financial services, enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of transactions or investments. We assessed the efficacy of this initiative through pre- and post-event surveys. The survey results indicated that participants possessed a commendable level of financial literacy, which further improved following the educational intervention. Participants demonstrated familiarity with financial products, the importance of financial literacy, the role of financial technology, the significance of financial management, and the necessity of risk management in investment. However, the notable observation from this initiative was the limited ownership of financial products among respondents, emphasizing the ongoing need to enhance financial inclusivity among the younger generation. Keywords: investment; financial literacy; financial management; financial technology

Abstract

Blind people are one of the disabled groups who have limited vision, who require the help of other people or certain tools to carry out daily activities. So far, the blind has used canes to help them when walking, but the canes they usually use are not helpful enough. For this reason, it is necessary to implement an innovative smart cane with smartphone-based sensors for the blind. The implementation method was to carry out empowerment with a participatory approach, by implementing the smart cane innovation tool for the blind. The smart cane was equipped with sensors, light reflectors, GPS (Global Positioning System) navigation and an emergency button. The sensor functions to helps identify surrounding objects, making it easier for the blind to walk without worrying about tripping or being blocked by objects while walking. Light reflectors provide additional security by reflecting light when walking at night. The implementation of the smart cane was very helpful and made it easier for the blind to make their activities safer and more comfortable. Smart cane one of the innovative solutions that need to continue to be developed to help disabled groups, especially the blind, so that they have equal access to other people.

Abstract

Knowledge and preparedness in facing natural disasters is very important, especially for students who are in disaster-prone areas such as the coastal area of ​​Kenjeran, Surabaya. Based on interviews with the principal and teachers at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya, it is known that the low understanding of students and teachers about disaster mitigation triggers feelings of anxiety and fear about potential disasters that could occur at any time. To overcome this problem, this research implemented Virtual Reality (VR) technology as a medium for disaster mitigation education at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Kenjeran. VR technology was chosen because of its ability to provide a simulation experience that is close to real situations, so it is hoped that it can increase students' and teachers' understanding and resilience in facing crises. This service aims to provide counseling and outreach to teachers and students with VR learning media at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Kenjeran Surabaya. The approach to solving partner problems is to focus on students' understanding of disaster mitigation with VR-based education and the impact of post-disaster psychological problems. The research results show an increase in students' understanding of disaster mitigation measures, as well as an increase in self-confidence in facing disaster threats after implementing VR. Another positive impact is a reduction in students' anxiety and fear levels, which shows that VR-based simulations are effective in preparing students to face emergency situations. The conclusion is that the use of VR technology as a medium for disaster mitigation education can be an effective alternative for increasing students' readiness in facing disasters in coastal areas.
