Abstract

Menurut dari beberapa peneliti dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran kepemimpinan sangat lah penting, Peran kepemimpinan transformasional dalam suatu organisasi membantu organisasi dalam melaksanakan visi misi dan mendorong setiap relawan didalamnya untuk mencapai visi misi tersebut. Kepentingan stakeholder mempunyai potensi untuk bisa memengaruhi ataupun dipengaruhi oleh perusahaa yang ada didalamnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana peran kepemimpinan transformasional di PT. Cabang Bank Sumut Gunungsitoli dalam menjaring kerjasama dengan stakeholder sebagai mitra kerja pemerintah di kota Gunungsitoli, dan seberapa besar peran kepemimpinan transformasional di PT. Cabang Bank Sumut Gunungsitoli dalam menjaring kerjasama dengan stakeholder sebagai mitra kerja pemerintah di kota Gunungsitoli.penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskripsi kualitatif. Dalam penelitian ini diupayakan mencari hubungan variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen dengan mencari hubungan antara variabel sesuai dengan data. Pengumpulan data dikumpulkan bukan melalui kuesioner melainkan berasal dari wawancara, observasi langsung dan dokumentasi resmi yang terkait lainnya. Hasil penelitian yaitu hasil yang diperoleh dari pengujian deskriptif menunjukan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional di PT. Cabang Bank Sumut berada pada kategori tinggi sebesar 68,5%, dan bahkan didapatkan 18,5% kepemimpinan transformasional kategori sangat tinggi, sedangkan kepemimpinan transformasional kategori rendahnya hanya 13%. Kata Kuci : Kepemimpinan, Motivasi, kerja sama dan Stakeholder

Abstract

Profesioanal sangat dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kemampuan pegawai yang tercermin dalam perilaku sehari-hari di dalam organisasi. Adaptasi system kerja baru pada perusahaan Alfamidi / Franchise Mart, City Mart dan indomaret sangat berpengaruh terhadap pegawai untuk menyesuaikan diri terhadap lingkungan kerja. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dinamika perubahan profesionalisme pegawai sebagai bentuk adaptasi sistim kerja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, studi Perbandingan dengan lokasi penelitian di Alfamidi / Franchise Mart, City Mart dan indomaret. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui obserfasi wawancara dan dokumentasi untuk memperoleh keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian yaitu kemampuan pegawai dalam menekuni pekerjaan sesuai bidang keahliannya masing-masing untuk mencapai tujuan yang lebih baik. Kata kunci : Profesionalisme pegawai, Adaptasi system kerja baru.

Abstract

The research objective was to describe what and how classroom interaction patterns and what factors influenced English teacher candidates in micro-teaching. The research problem was what and how classroom interaction patterns and what factors they make in the performance of the basic skill. The research method used was qualitative research. The researchers used videotape and in-depth interviews as the research instruments to collect the data needed. The total respondents were 66 students as English teacher candidates. The results and important findings from the videos were obtained that the English teacher candidates had good, good enough, enough, and bad classroom interaction patterns. In group work, the interaction between student and student was bad. A similar thing happened in closed-ended teacher questioning, the interaction between student-teacher-student was bad too meanwhile in open-ended teacher questioning was good enough. In the choral response, the interaction pattern between student-content was good. The last was teacher talks, the interaction pattern of student-teacher was enough. Some factors influenced classroom interaction patterns such as the result from the in-depth interview that were the linguistic ability level of English teacher candidates, ability to select interesting topics, ability to master the content, ability to manage the classroom, and lack of confidence. In a conclusion, classroom interaction patterns were at different levels influenced by some factors, monotonous and mostly similar patterns for all the English teacher candidates as happened in a conventional classroom.

Abstract

Reading is the most important activity in any language class, not only as a source of information and a pleasurable activity, but as a means of consolidating and extending one’s knowledge of the language and its related aspects such as culture, civilization, and history. The method used in the research was descriptive qualitative research. The focuses of the research were to find out the students’ ability gaining information and knowledge from the text that they have read by using Extensive Reading Strategy, the students’ level ability in reading comprehension and factors that affected the students’ ability. The purposes of the research were to describe the students’ ability and the students’ level in Reading Comprehension by using Extensive Reading Strategy and factors that affected the students‟ ability. The total number of the sample was 20 students. The instrument used to get the data was a test and interview. Based on the results, it was found that 14 students who achieved good score, meanwhile 6 students who achieved a low score in reading comprehension. The most factors that affect the students’ ability in reading comprehension was caused by lack of grammar, lack of vocabulary, lack of reading and also because of students’ background knowledge. Then, the students got the difficulty when they faced new reading texts/new topics. Finally, based on the findings, it is concluded that students of the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Lahewa were able to gain information and knowledge from the text that they have read by using Extensive Reading Strategy.

Abstract

Collaborative Strategy is a learning model used by teachers in the teaching and learning process in groups. Collaborative Strategy can help students to interact with their friends in reading comprehension. The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation of Collaborative Strategy in teaching students' reading comprehension. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach, which is a research method used to search on natural object conditions. The research instruments used were Lesson Plan, Observation Sheet, Field Notes, Students' Worksheet, and Transcript Interview. The results showed that the implementation of Collaborative Strategy in teaching students' reading comprehension ran well. It was proven that when doing collaborative students the interacted with fellow friends. For students' comprehension level, students in class X TKJ 2 at SMK Negeri 1 Sitolu Ori are at the literal meaning level with the result that 80% of the answers at this level. The results of Collaborative Strategy implementation challenges were decoding 38% with 8 students, fluency 9% with 2 students, vocabulary 24% with 5 students, sentence construction and cohesion 9% with 2 students, reasoning and background knowledge 10% with 2 students, working memory and attention 10% with 2 students.

Abstract

Writing is one of the important skills that must be learnt by the students. However, the students had several problems in learning writing which caused the MCC were not able to achieve by the students especially in writing recount text. They were the students were lack of vocabulary, the lack of students in organizing ideas, the students were not able to use verb and grammar correctly, and students were not able to identify the generic structure of recount text. Therefore, the aim of research was to increase the students’ writing skill in recount text through Snowball Throwing Method. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR) and it was applied in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of several procedures namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of Cycle I showed that most of the students were not able to achieve MCC where no student in “Excellent” level (0%), 4 students in “Good” level (22.22%), 10 students in “Fair” level (55.56%), and 4 students in “Poor” level (22.22%). The average of students’ writing skill in Cycle I was 65.78. While the result of Cycle II showed that all of students have been achieved MCC where 13 students in “Excellent” level (72.22%), 5 students in “Good” level (27.78%), and there was no student in “Fair” level and “Poor” level. The average of students’ writing skill in Cycle II was 80.89. Based on the result above, it proved that Snowball Throwing Method increases the students’ writing skill in recount text.

Abstract

Speaking is one of the important skills in English besides listening, reading and writing. It is important because speaking is always used in daily activities. People can convey their opinions, ideas, and express their expressions or feelings to others. Speaking is very important in language learning because it can make students active in communicating with others and giving opinions or ideas in the teaching-learning process. The purpose of this research is to analyze students' speaking ability by using Information Gap strategy in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Gido. This research uses qualitative research which emphasizes understanding problems in social life based on reality conditions, or real natural settings that are holistic, complex, and detailed. The sample size was 34 students in class VIII-B. while the data collection techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. the research results from the test were 9 students classified as poor, 19 people classified as good. The percentage from highest to lowest is: Excellent (0%) with a frequency of 0, good (71,4%) with a frequency of 25, fair (26.4%) with a frequency of 9, poor (0%) with a frequency of 0, and very poor (0%) with a frequency of 0. The results of speaking ability in using the information gap strategy of class VIII-B students fall into the good and sufficient category, it is known that 9 students scored 41-60, 25 students scored 61-80, they are at a good level which is around 61-80, meaning that their average score is 68.67.

Abstract

Students are expected to comprehend English texts correctly. Meanwhile the students of the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 2 Gido did not understand the texts, could not achieve the minimum competences criterion that has been decided in the school. It was caused by some factors namely lacked of the students’ vocabulary, unable to identify main idea and to determine the generic structure of descriptive text, lacked of getting the important points when reading the text. The purpose of this research is to increase the students’ ability in reading comprehension. In increasing students’ reading ability, the researchers used Discovery Learning Strategy and applied it Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles, there were four steps in conducting the research, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. The result of the data in Cycle I showed that there were 2 students (6%) categorized in “Poor level”, 12 students (37%) categorized in “Less level”, 14 students (42%) categorized in “Enough level, 3 students (9%) categorized in “Good level, and 2 students (6%) categorized in “Very good level”. The mean mark in Cycle I was 50.91. There were still many students who failed and their level was low and really needed to be increased in the next cycle. Cycle II, no one of the students was categorized into less, poor, and enough levels, but 30 students (90.9%) categorized in “Good level, 3 students (9.10%) categorized in “Very good level”. The mean mark in Cycle II was 85.15. Based on the results of the research, it is concluded that Discovery Learning Strategy can increase the students’ ability in reading comprehension in descriptive text at eighth grade of SMP Negeri 2 Gido in 2022/2023.

Abstract

Vocabulary can be defined as the total amount of words that are necessary to convey ideas and express the speaker' intent. Vocabulary is the essential thing we need to master in mastering a language. However, in reality there are many students who lack of vocabulary. Many students said that English difficult to understand. And they can’t categorize the English vocabulary also. The purpose of this research is to increase students’ vocabulary mastery by using Hyponym Game. In this research the researcher conducted Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. The subject of this research is the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Barat which consist of 26 students. This research was applied in two cycles. In Cycle I, there were 1 (4%) students who got score among 0-49 classified as “Very Poor Criteria”, 5 (19%) students got classified as “Poor Criteria”, 8 (31%) students classified as “Average Criteria”, there were 12 (46%) students classified as “Good Criteria” and no one students who reached the “Excellent Criteria”. Moreover the average of students’ mark in Cycle I was 63,46. In Cycle II, there were 14 (54%) students classified as “Excellent Criteria”, 10 (38%) students classified as “Good Criteria”, 1 (4%) students who classified as “Average Criteria”, there were 1 (4%) students classified as “Poor Criteria” and no one students who reached the “Very Poor Criteria”. The average of students’ mark was 80,19. Based on the result the researcher concluded that implementetaion of Hyphonymy game increase students’ vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

In advancing education, an effort is needed in running it. One of them is by utilizing technological advances that have been very developed along with the passage of time so far. In addition to the utilization of technology, improvements are also needed in terms of educational tools used such as innovation in learning, and teacher creativity in teaching in the classroom. Video Learning Media is one of the learning media that is often used. Video can be used as a learning media that contains educational content that can help students learn. Based on observations, researchers found that students sometimes feel less interested in the material being taught and students are also less interested in understanding the contents of textbooks. The formulation of the problem in this study is how much interest do students have in video learning media in class X SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli in 2022/2023? The method used in this research is qualitative analysis. The research data collection used field notes, questionnaires, and documentation. After analyzing the results of the research findings, it is concluded that the application of video learning media to students learning interest at SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli made students interested. Animation, music, sound and clear discussion made students like video learning media, beside that, it was easy for students to better understand the visualized learning. Teachers can also use videos as their learning media, which of course attracts students' interest in the material presented and affect students learning outcomes.
