Abstract

Currently, the percentage of the elderly population in Indonesia has increased much higher than in previous years. As people age, their immune system decreases and they are more likely to be affected by diabetes mellitus. In Indonesia, diabetes mellitus currently ranks as the third most prevalent cause of mortality following cardiovascular disease. Diabetes mellitus is closely associated with blood glucose levels. People with high blood glucose levels have a tendency to be overweight or obese. The increasing prevalence of diabetes mellitus in the elderly, it will have an impact on hampering the development of the country. To improve the quality and life expectancy in the elderly, preventive measures are needed to increase excess glucose levels in the body. From these problems, community service activities were conducted in the form of health checks on nutritional status and blood glucose in elderly participants. The activity took place at the Abiyoso Integrated service post Polkesbaya on May 3, 2023. From the results of the examination, it was found that most of the elderly participants who participated in the activity had excess nutritional status but had normal blood glucose in the body. From this it can be concluded that high blood glucose levels in the body are not always determined by a person's nutritional status, but also lifestyle, and diet.

Abstract

This study presents a novel approach to assist learning analysts in identifying suitable learning pathways based on historical training data through the utilization of text mining techniques. The dataset utilized in this research comprises training data from the year 2021 and the Course Development Management Program (CDMP) catalogue. The BERT 'bert-base-nli-mean-tokens' model is employed for encoding purposes. By comparing the training data names from 2021 with the CDMP catalogue using cosine similarity and dot score, valuable insights are obtained. The findings indicate that cosine similarity is a more effective measure for interpreting the data, thereby simplifying the process for learning analysts and managers in identifying appropriate learning paths for their employees. This research provides a practical solution that leverages text mining techniques to optimize the analysis and decision-making processes in learning and development domains, enabling organizations to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of their training programs.

Abstract

Primary dysmenorrhea is a common complaint among adolescent girls, affecting daily activities. Herbal medicine has been widely used as an alternative treatment. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of herbal medicine and mefenamic acid in reducing primary dysmenorrhea pain among 460 high school students in South Sumatra. Pain levels were measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) at specific time intervals. Results indicate that herbal medicine has comparable effectiveness to mefenamic acid in reducing pain at the 60th minute. While the mefenamic acid group was given 500 mg of mefenamic acid. The degree of pain was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before treatment, at 14, 30, 45, and 60 minutes after treatment. Results: The significance value of the pain level of both groups at 60 minutes (0.244) > α 0.05 (error level 5%). This shows that there is no significant difference between the differences in the mean pain level given herbal medicine and mefenamic acid at 60 minutes. So it is concluded that herbal medicine is able to reduce the level of pain the same as mefenamic acid at 60 minutes. This also means that herbal medicine can be used as a therapy for primary dysmenorrhea as well as the use of mefenamic acid at 60 minutes. Herbal medicine can be used as a therapy for primary dysmenorrhea in adolescents. This study provides initial evidence that herbs and chemical drugs actually have the same efficacy if given in the appropriate amount.

Abstract

The infrastructure facility makes a major difference in human life. Its progression has definitely been for good and for bad. One of the bad effects is global warming. For repressing the harmful effects requires a new concept that remains environmental. The medical facility support building at the medical center in Bandung is still on its way to implementing the concept of green building. The building is planned to add solar power systems to its energy source. This Solar system is planned to apply on the roof. According to the roof's calculations, the number of solar panels should be installed at 250 units and require 33 units inverter. The installation of this system eventually affected the structure of roof plates. The building's inner design involves a steel framing structure for columns and beams. Reinforced concrete slab roof is used. The structure of the Structure Of Order Bearers Special Moments (SRPMK) referred to the area of the earthquake 4. The earthquake load calculations used an equatorial static that works on the portal passage. Style-counting analyzer in manually counted and of sap2000 version 14.0.0. Portal planning uses Load Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) method to determine the profile used. After calculations were made, it was found that the dimensions of the secondary beam contained wf 200x200, the columns used the 400x400 profile and the main beam used the wf 400x200 and 350x350 profiles.

Abstract

In obtaining good concrete quality according to the requirements, sometimes problems arise including urgent and limited time to immediately accelerate the work, the distance traveled to transport concrete mixture from the mixing machine to the place of work, the influence of temperature and weather. This study aims to determine the effect of mixing time on the compressive strength of concrete. The length of stirring time in question is the amount of time used to mix the concrete mixture in minutes, which is calculated after all the ingredients are put into the mixing drum (molen). The mixing time is varied as many as 3 different times, namely 10, 20 and 30 minutes. This test was carried out at a maintenance age of 28 days, with a cylindrical test specimen dimension of 15 cm x 30 cm, each comparison was made with 3 test pieces where the total number was 9 test pieces. The compressive strength of concrete results from the length of mixing time between 10, 20, and 30 minutes. In concrete with a mixing time of 10 minutes, the highest compressive strength value is 13.01 MPa, while in the mixing time of 20 minutes, the highest compressive strength value is 15.48 MPa, and at the mixing time of 30 minutes, the highest compressive strength value is 15.48 MPa. The highest concrete content weight value is in concrete with 30-minute stirring, which is 2.30 gr/cm3, in 10-minute stirring the highest content weight value is 2.29 gr/cm3 and in 20-minute casting the highest content weight value is 2.29 gr/cm3.Keywords: Mixing time, Strong compressive,Content Weight

Abstract

Integral bridges are a type of bridge designed without the use of expansion joints or dilation gaps, allowing the superstructure and substructure to act monolithically without relative movement. In Indonesia, the application of integral bridge concepts is limited. Generally, bridges in the country are designed using simple-span systems with conventional bearings, which, despite their straightforward construction, require periodic maintenance and replacement. Precast prestressed concrete (PCI) girders have been implemented in several integral bridge designs in Indonesia; however, their application is restricted, particularly for piers of considerable size or height. This study aims to determine the maximum pier height applicable for multispan integral bridges utilizing PCI girders commonly available in the market. The investigation focuses on girders with a span length of 40 meters, given their widespread use in Indonesia. Structural modeling was carried out for pier heights ranging from 30 to 60 meters, considering structural behavior during both construction stages and service conditions. The results indicate that for a pier height of 30 meters, the stresses in the PCI girder remain within permissible limits. However, when the pier height increases to 40 meters, the stress exceeded allowable thresholds. Therefore, the use of standard PCI girders with a 40-meter span under such conditions is not recommended unless supported by design modifications or advanced construction technologies. It is thus concluded that 40-meter PCI girders are effective for integral bridge applications with pier heights below 30 meters.

Abstract

The hospital payment system in Indonesia uses the Indonesia Case Based Groups (INA-CBGs). It is expected to control service costs within the National Health Insurance (JKN) program. However, there is a challenge in the form of a negative difference between BPJS Kesehatan claims and the hospital's actual tariffs. If left unchecked, this could impact the financial sustainability of hospitals. This study aims to predict and analyze the factors influencing the difference between BPJS claims and hospital tariffs at Hospital X Surabaya for the period February to June 2024. The method used is an analytical quantitative study with a time series design using secondary data from BPJS claims and the hospital’s actual tariffs for 6,523 inpatient cases. Data analysis was performed using graphs, cross-tabulation, and multiple linear regression. The results show that the difference between BPJS claims and hospital tariffs is always negative. The largest negative difference occurred in inpatient class 3. Variables such as costs of non-surgical procedure tariffs, surgical procedures, nursing care, supporting services, radiology, laboratory, blood services, rehabilitation, and room accommodation have a significant effect in increasing the claim deficit (p < 0.05). However, drug costs have a significant positive effect in reducing the deficit. The limitation of this study is that the data is not normally distributed and indicates heteroskedasticity. In conclusion, most medical and non-medical cost components contribute to the claim deficit experienced by the hospital during the study period.

Abstract

Abstract

Global economic challenges have spurred a rise in household investments worldwide, including in Indonesia. By 2023, retail investors in Indonesia’s capital market have quadrupled, reaching over 12 million, with mutual fund investors driving this surge. Many new investors use mutual fund investment applications to purchase and manage their portfolios. Despite this growth, providers face challenges in maintaining user loyalty and increasing average investments due to Indonesia’s low financial literacy rate of 38.03%. This study investigates the factors influencing users’ adoption and continuous use of mutual fund investment apps. It examines the relationships between perceived service quality, perceived security and privacy, trust, familiarity, user satisfaction, and continuance intention. The research uses a comparative approach, combining Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with machine learning regression models, including linear regression, support vector regression, and multilayer perceptron, to create a robust and comprehensive model. The findings reveal that trust significantly impacts both user satisfaction (β = 0.463, p < 0.001) and continuance intention (β = 0.194, p < 0.05). Perceived service quality strongly influences user satisfaction (β = 0.523, p < 0.001), while familiarity plays a key role in fostering trust (β = 0.224, p < 0.001) and encouraging continued use (β = 0.206, p < 0.001). Based on these results, strategies to enhance user loyalty, such as improving security, services, and providing transparent recommendations, are proposed. This study contributes to understanding digital investment behavior in emerging markets and offers insights for expanding financial inclusion.
