Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a global health concern worldwide. The study aimed to describe the level of attitude, medication adherence, and quality of life among patients with tuberculosis. The cross-sectional study design was applied in this study. Seventy samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The findings showed that most of the patients were a moderate level of attitude in medication adherence (45.7%). Regarding compliance with obedient, 61.4% of patients were non-compliance in medication. The majority of patients (64.3%) were a moderate level of quality of life; only 14.3% of patients have a high level of quality of life. The support and effective strategy need to improve the attitudes, adherence, and quality of life of patients with pulmonary TB. Abstract

Control of asthma is an important factor in the long-term treatment of asthma. Knowledge of controlled behavior is an action to be performed for the treatment of asthma patients. This study aims to determine the effect of face to face education intervention based on the Theory of Planned Behavior against the asthma control behavior. A quasi-experimental study design, pre and post test with an equivalent control group. Seventy-four samples were recruited using purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted by providing a TPB-based face to face education intervention for 1 month. Data analysis was performed and presented in descriptive statistics, and significant findings were computed using wilcoxon signed rank test. The results showed that face to face education was positive effect on controlling asthma (p=0,000). A Theory Of Planned Behavior-based education intervention has an effect in enhancing asthma control behavior

Abstract

Introduction: COPD can affect social and psychological aspects as well as physical health. Anxiety, loss of control in self-reliance, changes in self-concept and respiratory barriers result in serious psychological changes, including fear of death and depression. There is a significant relationship between depression and anxiety with sleep quality of chronic disease patients, the higher the degree of depression the worse the quality of sleep. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is a therapy that uses spiritual elements to reduce psychological and physical problems caused by emotional or psychosomatic. Method: This study use Quasy Experiment "with Pre-Post test group control design approach. The population of this study was the patient of COPD in dr. H. Koesnadi Hospital and Bhayangkara Hospital at Bondowoso. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique according to inclusion criteria with total 68 patients. SEFT intervention performed 8 times for 1 month. Instrument for anxiety using HARS. Data analysis using Mann Whitney Test. Result: There was a significant difference in the level of anxiety (p 0,000) between before and after SEFT therapy. Conclusion: SEFT can reduce anxiety levels of COPD patients, if done regularly and sustainably. The intervention focuses on reducing emotional or psychosomatic psychological problems.

Abstract

Public participation in flood risk reduction needs to be undertaken in the overall flood disaster management cycle, from the start of preparedness, the period before the flood, the period during the flood and the period after the flood disaster. The purpose of Community Service is to improve the community’s ability to overcome the impact of flood disaster. The results of community service in Benjeng Sub District on Thursday, October 19, 2017 has been well underway. This is seen from the public interest to follow very high activity, as evidenced by the attendance of participants following the activities reached 100%. The outcomes of the activities are: Draft Articles Scientific publications in the journal Pengmas, Understanding and skills of the people of Benjeng Sub-district of Gresik Regency in overcoming the impact of floods are found to increase, and the health of the people of Benjeng sub-district of Gresik regency can minimize the loss due to verbal flooding.AbstrakPartisipasi masyarakat dalam pengurangan risiko banjir perlu dilakukan dalam siklus manajemen bencana banjir secara menyeluruh, dari mulai kesiapsiagaan, masa sebelum bencana banjir, masa selama banjir dan masa setelah bencana banjir. Tujuan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat yaitu meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam mengatasi dampak bencana banjir. Hasil yang dilakukan dari pengabdian pada masyarakat yang ada di Kecamatan Benjeng pada hari Kamis, tanggal 19 Oktober 2017 telah berlangsung dengan baik. Hal ini terlihat dari animo Masyarakat untuk mengikuti kegiatan sangat tinggi, terbukti dengan kehadiran peserta mengikuti kegiatan mencapai 100%. Luaran kegiatan yang dicapai diantaranya: Draft Artikel Publikasi ilmiah di jurnal Pengmas, Pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat Kecamatan Benjeng Kabupaten Gresik dalam mengatasi dampak banjir ditemukan peningkatan, dan ketenteraman/kesehatan masyarakat kecamatan Benjeng Kabupaten Gresik dapat meminimalkan kerugian akibat banjir secara verbal.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Klien TB paru yang menjalani pengobatan fase intensif sering kali merasa sedih, bosan, menolak keadaan, tidak berguna dan tidak berdaya, mengeluh dengan perubahan kondisi yang dialami. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengalaman klien TB paru yang menjalani pengobatan fase intensif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Taji Kabupaten Magetan Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif pendekatan fenomenologi dengan metode in-depth interview terhadap 15 partisipan dengan kriteria inklusi klien TB paru berusia ≥16 tahun, klien baru terdiagnosa TB paru, klien sudah menjalani pengobatan TB paru fase intensif selama 1 bulan. Sedangkan kriteria eksklusi klien TB paru yang sedang hamil, TB-HIV, TB-MDR, TB ekstra paru, klien dengan penyakit penyerta seperti diabetes mellitus, hipertensi, skizofrenia, dan penyakit kronis lainnya. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sembilan langkah Colaizzi.Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan sebelas tema yaitu: 1) Perubahan di lingkungan keluarga, 2) Perubahan di lingkungan kerja, 3) Menjaga kegiatan sosial, 4) Efek samping setelah minum obat TB paru, 5) Upaya mencegah penularan TB paru, 6) Upaya mencapai kesembuhan, 7) Jenis dukungan selama pengobatan TB paru, 8) Sumber dukungan selama pengobatan TB paru, 9) Hambatan selama pengobatan TB paru, 10) Upaya mengatasi hambatan selama pengobatan TB paru, 11) Harapan selama pengobatan TB paru. Kesimpulan: Pengalaman klien TB paru selama menjalani pengobatan fase intensif memerlukan berbagai dukungan baik dari diri sendiri dan orang lain seperti keluarga, tetangga, teman, dan petugas kesehatan untuk mengatasi hambatan yang dilalui. Diharapkan bahwa penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar untuk penelitian lebih lanjut tentang promosi kesehatan dan pendampingan berkelanjutan terhadap klien TB paru yang menjalani pengobatan fase intensif dengan melibatkan keluarga dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Pasien tuberkulosis paru memiliki banyak stressor yang dapat menghambat kesembuhan. Self efficacy dan self care merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kesembuhan dan kualitas hidup pasien tuberkulosis paru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara strategi koping dengan self efficacy dan self care.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien tuberkulosis paru di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Perak Timur. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah strategi koping, sedangkan variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah self efficacy dan self care. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pusposive sampling. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 105 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Data diperoleh dengan instrumen kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Spearman Rho dengan signifikansi α < 0,05.Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara strategi koping dengan self efficacy (p=0,015), ada hubungan strategi koping dengan self care (p=0,018).Kesimpulan: Strategi koping yang berfokus pada problem focused coping dapat meningkatkan self efficacy dan self care pada pasien tuberkulosis paru di Puskesmas Perak Timur.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Penularan TB dan kegagalan dalam pengobatan dapat berdampak pada sulitnya pemberantasan penyakit TB Paru serta memperberat beban pemerintah dan rawan menyebarluas di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor yang berperan dalam kepatuhan pencegahan penularan dan pengobatan pada pasien TB paru dengan pendekatan teori health believe model.Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah cross sectional dengan 120 responden yang menjalani pengobatan pada fase intensif dan lanjutan. Uji statistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji multivariat yaitu dengan regresi logistik.Hasil: Hasil yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah faktor yang berhubungan dengan kepatuhan pencegahan penularan adalah usia (0.042;OR=4.372), persepsi kerentanan (0.045;OR=0.289), pada kepatuhan pengobatan adalah sosial ekonomi (0.006), persepsi keseriusan (0.024;OR=0.109), persepsi kerentanan (0.009;OR=0.773),  pendidikan (0.034;OR=4.674).Kesimpulan: Usia dan pendidikan merupakan faktor dominan pada model (HBM) terkait pencegahan penularan dan pengobatan pada TB paru. Diperlukan media pendidikan dalam upaya peningkatan pengetahuan pencegahan dan pengobatan TB Paru.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Kepatuhan pengobatan merupakan hal pokok yang harus dipenuhi guna mencapai keberhasilan pengobatan tuberkulosis (TB). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis hubungan dukungan keluarga, kader, dan petugas kesehatan dengan kepatuhan berobat penderita TB paru di Kota Surabaya.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian korelasional. Populasi dari penelitian ini ialah penderita TB paru di salah satu puskesmas di Kota Surabaya sebanyak 69 orang. Total sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 35 penderita TB paru yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Variabel independen pada penelitian ini ialah dukungan keluarga, peran kader, dan peran petugas kesehatan. Variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini ialah kepatuhan berobat penderita TB paru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner.Hasil: Data dianalisis menggunakan chi square dengan level signifikansi ≤0,05. Dukungan keluarga (p = 343), peran kader (p = 0,476), dan peran petugas kesehatan (p = 1,000) tidak berhubungan dengan kepatuhan berobat penderita TB paru di Kota SurabayaKesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketiga faktor tersebut tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepatuhan berobat penderita penderita TB paru di Kota Surabaya. Peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat meneliti faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi kepatuhan berobat dan kepatuhan memakai masker pada penderita TB paru.

Abstract

Introduction: The increase in blood pressure that lasts long enough to cause damage to the kidneys, heart, and brain. This is in line with Carol A. Miller's theory regarding the aging process that occurs in the older adults. Miller's functional theory in the development process, the older adults will experience many changes, one of which is the dilated and stiff arteries, this results in reduced vascular recoil capacity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of massage, warm water foot soaking, and aromatherapy on lowering blood pressure in hypertensive older adults based on empirical studies of the last ten years.Method: Search for journals or articles using a database through Scopus, ProQuest, PubMed, SAGE, EBSCO, Scient Direct, Research Gate, and Google Scholar. The Center for Review and Dissemination and The Joanna Briggs Institute were used to assess the study's quality. The framework used for the review is PICOS, and the inclusion criteria used are English and Indonesian language journals with a coverage of the last ten years, older adults who lives in nursing home or community older adults, outcomes: decreased to blood pressure, and the study design of quasy-experimental studies, randomized control and trial, qualitative research and cross-sectional studies.Result: After screening twenty-five article, but only Thirteen studies matched the research criteria. Six studies suggest that age is a significant factor in hypertension and seven studies the presence of excess sympathetic activity. Meanwhile, strategies to reduce blood pressure in the older adults include massage, soaking feet in warm water, and aromatherapy.Conclusion: Decreased prevalence of hypertension in the older adults can be carried out pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. The strategy is entirely sufficient for lowering blood pressure in elderly hypertensive are massage, foot soak warm water, and aromatherapy as inhaled a calming effect. Determines successfully in complementary therapy in lowering blood pressure.

Abstract

Introduction: Diabetics have several psychological problems associated with diabetes and its complications, which could be exacerbated during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of psychological responses, efforts to prevent and overcome psychological impacts, and the results of efforts to deal with the psychological impacts experienced by diabetes in the Covid-19 pandemic era based on empirical studies in the last two years.Method: Journal search using a database Scopus, Science Direct. Proquest, and PubMed. The framework used to review is PICOS with inclusion criteria, namely English-language journals from 2019 to 2020. The study is divided into three major themes.Results: Of the ten studies that met the inclusion criteria, it was found that the types of psychological responses experienced by people with diabetes during the Covid-19 pandemic were stress, depression, and anxiety. Efforts to deal with psychological problems include telepsychiatry, telemedicine, telehealth, teleconsultation, self-care, and social support. The results obtained were in the form of low satisfaction levels, lifestyle changes, an increase in glycemic control, low anxiety levels, and high optimism with the Covid-19 situation, and a minimal impact on the psychological status of people with diabetes.Conclusion: It is important to pay attention to the psychological health of diabetics during the Covid-19 pandemic, and serious resources, planning, and action are needed to tackle this problem.
