Abstract

People with severe mental disorders or schizophrenia often have recurrence episodes. If the clients have undergone treatment in the hospital, the treatment process can continue at home. However, clients are often unable to stay at home for a long time and experience recurrence episodes. This study aimed to find out the effect of giving Patient Education Program (PEP) therapy and Family Psycho-Education (FPE) therapy on reducing recurrence of mental disorders. This study was a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design pre and post-test nonequivalent control group. The results of the study using the Paired T-test in the intervention group had different mean scores of mental disorders recurrence before and after giving PEP and FPE therapy with a p-value of 0.000 (p less than a; 0.005). In addition, in the control group using the independent T-test, the results showed no difference in the mean score of mental disorders recurrence before and after giving PEP therapy with a p-value of 0.604 (p greater than a; 0.005). Giving PEP therapy and FPE therapy to people with mental disorders in the community impacts reducing symptoms of recurrence so that it can be used as an alternative solution to mental health problems in community

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) needs and motivation of Madrasah Aliyah students in Temanggung Regency in learning Islamic-themed English. Using a quantitative descriptive survey design, data were collected from 104 students through a 38-item Likert-scale questionnaire based on Hutchinson and Waters’ needs analysis model. The instrument demonstrated strong internal consistency (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.89). Data were analyzed using scoring, mean calculations, categorical interpretation, and descriptive statistics. Findings show that students place high importance on Islamic English materials (M = 3.36), yet experience moderate difficulties in understanding Islamic texts and identifying main ideas (M = 2.92–2.96). Students expressed clear preferences for positive, youth-relevant Islamic content (M = 3.02–3.07) and demonstrated hybrid learning needs involving both digital media and printed textbooks (M = 3.09–3.15). Motivation increased significantly when English materials aligned with Islamic values embedded in students’ daily lives (M = 3.19–3.25). The study highlights the necessity of developing contextual Islamic-based ESP materials that support linguistic, affective, and identity-related dimensions, offering important implications for curriculum development in Islamic secondary education.

The purpose of this study was to determine how learning gymnastics affects kindergarten pupils' ability to balance and move. For the experimental group, thirty students with unbalanced movement were tested. Twelve sessions of 30-minute gym training were administered to the sample. A 40-second one-foot balance test indication was used to examine the treatment sample before a basic movement skill test (FMS). T-Paired was used to test pre-test and post-test results with significance > 0.05. The experimental group's ability to balance improved. The post-test score is 89.65, while the pre-test score is 72.59. It has been demonstrated that the 12-time gymnastics program helps children learn how to balance their movements. Learning gymnastics has an effect on kindergarten children' ability to improve their balance and movement skills. Repeated gymnastics exercises are helpful in helping kindergarten students improve their balance and movement skills.
