Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah Fisika berdasarkan teori respon butir. Metode dan desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan desain penelitian kontruksi dan validasi, instrumen yang dibuat peneliti didasarkan pada lima indikator yang merujuk pada tahapan strategi keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada Robust Assessment Instrument For Student Problem Solving yang dikembangkan oleh Doctor dan Heller. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa SMA Kelas XI. Hasil analisis dari kurva karakteristik tes dengan menggunakan teori respon butir menunjukkan bahwa tes memiliki parameter tingkat kesukaran (b) yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang, dan daya pembeda (a) dengan kategori tes memiliki parameter daya pembeda (a) yang baik. Secara umum interpretasi dari tes yang dikonstruksi dapat menilai keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan kemampuan rendah hingga sangat tinggi. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and map research in hydrology content. We reviewed 45 articles related to hydrology content published from 2014 to 2024. There are several previous literature review studies analyzing hydrology in engineering. However, we have not found any studies that investigate the projects, topics covered, and benefits of implementing hydrological processes in science education. The research method used was a systematic and bibliometric literature review using VoSviewer with ResearchRabbit database. This study analyzed content characteristics based on publication year, publication type, country of implementation, research approach, education stage, and hydrology content. The findings show that VoSviewer with ResearchRabbit database can be used as a research mapping baseline. In addition, the authors found that hydrological content varies according to the topic discussed, but very few found hydrological studies in the social field, especially education. The benefits of implementing educational hydrology in science education include cognitive benefits, procedural benefits (skills), attitudinal benefits, or a combination of the three benefits.

Abstract

Menghadapi kemajuan teknologi, pembelajaran hendaknya mampu mengajarkan Computational Thikinking sebagai salah satu keterampilan Abad 21. Dalam mengajarkan Computational thinking memerlukan peranan media pembelajaran yang interaktif. Sehingga tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam mendesain media pembelajaran berbasis computational thinking melalui pelatihan online Quizizz. Sampel pada penelitian ini 12 guru fisika (SMA dan SMP) dari berbagai provinsi di Indonesia. Untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman guru tentang perancangan media dan computational thingking digunakan angket berupa daftar pernyataan yang dinilai dengan skala likert. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh setelah melaui Quizizz Online Training ini, 75% guru fisika menyatakan bahwa keahlian dalam memanfaatkan media elektronik yang dapat melatihkan Computational Thinking dalam pembelajaran fisika meningkat. Sehingga, melalui Quizziz Online Training mampu melatihkan keterampilan guru fisika dalam mendesain media pemeblajaran berbasis computational thinking.

Abstract

Abstract The aims of this study to determine the increase in critical thinking skills and mastery of the concept after the application of abductive inquiry learning model at high school students. This research is motivated by the lack of mastery of concepts and critical thinking skills of the preliminary study in the same school. This study used a pre-experimental research design and one-group pretest-posttest design involving 33 students of class X in one high school in Bandung. Aspects of critical thinking skills measured is the interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, and explanatory, while the measured aspects of mastery of concepts is remain, understanding and analalisis. The results of analysis of pretest-posttest scores showed that abductive inquiry learning model can improve critical thinking skills with an average value of 0.47 with a normalized gain medium category. If considered each aspect, all aspects of critical thinking skills with moderate category, explanatory aspects showed the greatest increase is 0.68. Abductive inquiry learning model can also improve the mastery of concepts with an average value of 0.62 normalized gain. All aspects of the concept of mastery increases the medium category, the aspect of the analysis showed the greatest increase in the amount of 0.65 Keywords : abductive inquiry learning model, critical thinking skills, and mastery of the concept Abstrak   Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan penguasaan konsep setelah penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri abduktif pada siswa SMA. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis dari hasil studi pendahuluan di sekolah yang sama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pre eksperimen dan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest design yang melibatkan 33 siswa kelas X di  salah satu SMA di kota Bandung. Aspek keterampilan berpikir kritis yang diukur adalah interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, inferensi, dan eksplanasi, sedangkan aspek penguasaan konsep yang diukur adalah mengingat, pemahaman dan analalisis. Hasil analisis dari skor pretest-posttest didapatkan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri abduktif dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan nilai rata-rata gain yang dinormalisasi 0,47 dengan kategori sedang. Jika ditinjau tiap aspek, semua aspek keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan kategori sedang, aspek eksplanasi menunjukan peningkatan paling besar yaitu 0,68. Model pembelajaran inkuiri abduktif juga dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dengan nilai rata-rata gain yang dinormalisasi 0,62. Semua aspek penguasaan konsep meningkat dengan kategori sedang, aspek analisis menunjukan peningkatan yang paling besar yaitu sebesar 0,65.  Kata Kunci :  Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Abduktif, Keterampilan Berpikir Krtis, Penguasaan Konsep

Abstract

Students regard physics as challenging due to the difficulty of integrating knowledge learned before and after the lesson, which causes misconceptions. One such misconception pertains to the subject of temperature and heat. The objective of this study is to develop a four-tier diagnostic test instrument that can be used to identify concepts regarding heat and temperature. This study employed Rasch analysis as a mixed method. The unidimensionality of the instrument is very good at 50.3%, with a person measure of -0.39 and an Alpha Cronbach of 0.82, which suggests a strong interaction between the person and the details of the question as a whole. The consistency of the responses from students is adequate, as indicated by a person reliability of 0.80 and an item reliability of 0.99. However, the items' quality and the instrument's reliability are exceptional. The Outfit MNSQ Person and Item of 0.99 and the Outfit ZSTD with a value of 0.02 suggest that the quality is improving. The instrument includes ten questions that can be employed to identify students' conceptions. The utilization of this instrument has the potential to yield more comprehensive measurement results regarding students' misconceptions.

Abstract

KTSP curriculum and 2013 curriculum both of them are demanding world education are able to develop all of the potential of their students through the science process skills optimally in each learning activity. It aims that students have quality and competence to compete in this age of globalization. The purpose of this research is to improve the student's mastery of the concept after implementing a model project-based learning and knowing the science process skills profile during the process of project-based learning. The research method used was Pre-Experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The subject of the research was 41 grade X-MIA-1 in one of senior high school in Cirebon Regency. The research was carried out as many as three times. Increased mastery of the concepts obtained from normalization gain the result of pre- test and post-test. Science process skills profiles obtained from the results of the assessment of student's performance observation sheets that contain KPS aspects at the meeting first, second and third. The results showed that the values of the normalized gain mastery of 0.59 with medium category. Science process skills profile of the students from the first to the third meeting changes, with an average percentage amounted to 66,4% with "limited" category. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that project-based learning models can increase the mastery concept high school students newton's laws of motion topic and knowing the science process skills profile of students.

Abstract

Effective instruction of fluid concepts in physics requires a deep understanding of students' preconceptions and the implementation of pedagogical strategies that promote conceptual change. This study aims to develop the Electronic Conceptual Development and Conceptual Change Text (E-CDCCText), a digital instructional resource designed to foster conceptual change in students’ understanding of fluid mechanics. Employing the Design and Development Research (DDR) methodology, the development followed the ADDIE model. Validation by five expert reviewers, supported by analysis using Facet software, confirmed the material’s quality in terms of content accuracy, structural coherence, narrative clarity, and media design. The E-CDCCText comprises seven structured sections that guide students through a systematic process of constructing and reconstructing scientific concepts, integrating both conceptual development and conceptual change frameworks. The content targets three core fluid concepts: hydrostatic pressure, buoyant force, and the principles underlying floating, suspending, and sinking. The implementation phase involved 64 tenth-grade students, whose conceptual understanding was assessed using a validated four-tier diagnostic test. Results demonstrated a significant enhancement in students’ scientific conceptions, indicating the efficacy of the E-CDCCText in reducing misconceptions. In conclusion, the E-CDCCText is a validated and effective digital instructional tool for supporting conceptual change and improving students’ understanding of fluid concepts in physics education.Keywords: conceptual change, E-CDCCText, fluid concept, instructional material

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of religious values-based earth and space science teaching materials on the level of mastery of concepts and spiritual attitudes. Using one group pretest-posttest design, 14 items of concept understanding essays test and 15 items of spiritual attitude questionnaire were given to 32 prospective elementary school science teachers who took earth and space science courses in the even semester of 2021/2022. The results of data analysis showed that 30.13% of prospective teacher an increase to the level of partial understanding and 34.60% of prospective teacher an increase to the level of sound understanding. In the aspect of spiritual attitudes, 91.25% of prospective teacher have the perception that their spiritual level has increased and 8.75% of prospective teacher have the perception that their spiritual level is fixed. These results indicate that the religious value-based science teaching materials used are good enough to increase the level of conceptual   understanding and spiritual attitudes

Abstract

The advancement of technology has brought significant impacts to the world of education, opening opportunities for the development of more engaging and innovative learning methods. The utilization of technology, especially in science education such as physics, enables the presentation of material in a visual, interactive, and concrete manner. One of the recent breakthroughs is the concept of Motion Dynamic Metaverse (MD-Verse), which adds a new dimension to physics learning through virtual environments. With its interactive features, MD-Verse provides a dynamic and enjoyable learning experience. This research aims to develop Metaverse Teaching Materials on the topic of dynamics of motion for college students. Validation results indicate that MD-Verse is suitable for use in physics teaching, contributing to enhancing students' understanding and interest in physics concepts.
