Abstract

Tinggi rendahnya suatu hasil belajar sangat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, di antaranya adalah sikap bahasa, minat, intensitas bermedsos dan beberapa faktor lainnya, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh sikap bahasa, minat dan intensitas bermedsos terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Bali pada siswa kelas XI Bahasa SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah ex-post facto dengan sampel sebanyak 72 orang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuesioner dan metode tes. Data sikap bahasa, minat, dan intensitas bermedsos dikumpulkan dengan metode kuesioner, sedangkan hasil belajar siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode tes. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap bahasa, minat belajar, serta intensitas bermedsos berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Bali siswa di SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat dari hasil uji parsial variabel sikap bahasa diperoleh thitung 3,752 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000, variabel minat belajar diperoleh thitung 3,351 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,001, serta variabel intensitas bermedsos diperoleh thitung 4,541 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Karena nilai signifikansi variabel sikap bahasa, minat dan intensitas bermedsos < level of signifikan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara parsial sikap bahasa, minat dan intensitas bermedsos berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Bali. Secara bersama-sama ketiga variabel bebas tersebut memeliki pengaruh sebesar 90,9% terhadap variabel terikat. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh ketiga variabel baik itu sikap bahasa, minat belajar, serta intesitas bermedsos, memberi pengaruh yang sangat besar terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Bali. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah adanya pengaruh yang signifikan sikap bahasa, minat dan intensitas bermedsos terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Bali pada siswa kelas XI Bahasa SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan penanaman sikap bahasa yang positif, pendekatan yang inovatif dan penggunaan media sosial lebih ditingkatkan agar hasil belajar bahasa Bali siswa juga meningkat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui potret tokoh dalam novel Rahvayana karya Sujiwo Tejo dan novel Kitab Omong Kosong karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma, (2) mengetahui persamaan dan perbedaan nilai-nilai budaya dalam novel Rahvayana karya Sujiwo Tejo dan novel Kitab Omong Kosong karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Rahvayana karya Sujiwo Tejo dan novel Kitab Omong Kosong karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma, sedangkan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah intertekstual antara novel Rahvayana karya Sujiwo Tejo dan novel Kitab Omong Kosong karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi dan instrument penelitian menggunakan kartu data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan, bahwa penelitian ini menunjukan  (1) potret tokoh dalam novel Rahvayana karya Sujiwo Tejo dan novel Kitab Omong Kosong karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma, yaitu Rahwana, Rama, dan Sinta dalam hal keterbalikan karakter, (2) ditemukan 3 persamaan nilai budaya yang terdapat dalam novel Rahvayana karya Sujiwo Tejo dan novel Kitab Omong Kosong karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma, yaitu nilai teoritik, estetika, dan agama. Kata-kata kunci : intertekstual, potret karakter tokoh, nilai-nilai budaya

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis (1) kosakata pada media Bali Post dan Kompas dalam mengonstruksi pemberitaan perseteruan anatara Polri dengan KPK dan (2) tata bahasa pada media Bali Post dan Kompas dalam mengonstruksi pemberitaan perseteruan antara Polri dengan KPK ditinjau dari analisis wacana krtitis Roger Fowler, dkk. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah media cetak Bali Post dan Kompas. Sementara itu, objek penelitian ini adalah pemberitaan perseteruan antara Polri dengan KPK. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi yang digunakan untuk mencari data yang berupa pustaka. Data pustaka tersebut berupa harian Bali Post dan Kompas edisi bulan Januari-Februari 2015, berita yang terdapat di dalam harian Bali Post dan Kompas tersebut adalah Pemberitaan Perseteruan Polri dengan KPK. Instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kartu data. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis wacana kritis Roger Fowler, dkk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Bali Post lebih banyak menggunakan kosakata membuat klasifikasi dalam mengontruksi pemberitaanya,sedangkan Kompas lebih menonjolkan kosakata marjinalisasi dalam mengonstruksi pemberitaan perseteruan antara Polri dan KPK (2) Bali Post dan Kompas lebih banyak menggunakan tata bahasa pemasifan: penghilangan pelaku dalam mengonstruksi pemberitaan perseteruan antara Polri dengan KPK. Berdasarkan simpulan penelitian tersebut, disampaikan beberapa saran sebagai berikut. Mengingat semakin sengitnya persaingan media massa, disarankan kepada pembaca agar dapat memilah informasi secara kritis dan cermat, tidak hanya menelan informasi tersebut secara mentah-mentah. Pengelola media juga hendaknya selalu berusaha bersikap sesuai kode etik jurnalistik sehingga tidak dapat menimbulkan ambiguitas maupun kesimpangsiuran dari suatu peristiwa yang dapat membingungkan khalayakKata Kunci : analisis wacana kritis Roger Fowler, dkk. This reasearch is about descriptive qualitative research that purpose (1)to describe and analyze the vocabulary in Bali Post and Kompas media to contrruct the report of hostility between the Polri and KPK (2)to describe and analyze the grammatical in the Bali Post and Kompas media when contruct the report of hostylity between the Polri and KPK according the Roger Fowler teory . The subject of this research is Bali Post and Kompas media .The Object of this research the report of hostility between the Polri and KPK.The gathering of the data done by documentation method such as literature. The instrument in the gathering of the data in this research is card of data . Then the data analyzed by the critis reading of Roger Fowler.The result of this research explain about (1) The Bali Post use more vocabulary that make the clasification in contruct it news , whereas Kompas shown about marginalisation vocabulary in contruct the news of hostility between the Polri and KPK (2) Bali Post and Kompas use more passive grammatical: to lose the character in contruct the report of hostylity between the Polri and KPK. Based on the inference of the research, told some some suggestion such as. To remember the more stinging insect of the competition in the media, told the sugetion to the reader in other to get the information criticality. Seriously and accurate, not to consume the information that. The mediator should be stand at attention. Like the code of ethnic of the journalism. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan dan langkah-langkah pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca puisi siswa menggunakan media audio-visual (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca puisi menggunakan media audio-visual (3) mendeskripsikan respons siswa terkait proses pembelajaran membaca puisi dengan media audio-visual. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia dan siswa kelas VII E SMP Negeri 7 Singaraja. Sedangkan, objek penelitian ini adalah aktivitas dan langkah-langkah pembelajaran, peningkatan kemampuan siswa, tanggapan siswa tentang media audio-visual. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode tes, dokumentasi, observasi, dan kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh dari tes dan kuesioner dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang diperoleh dari dokumentasi dan observasi dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya (1) peningkatan nilai rata-rata dalam membaca puisi dari 79 pada siklus I menjadi 88 pada siklus II (2) media audio-visual mampu meningkatkan rasa percaya diri ketika membaca (3) beberapa langkah-langkah pembelajaran dalam membaca puisi menggunakan media audio-visual seperti menjelaskan materi, memberikan penguatan, dan menarik perhatian siswa (4) tanggapan positif siswa terhadap penggunaan media audio-visual dalam pembelajaran membaca puisi. Sehingga, peneliti menyarankan kepada guru Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia untuk menggunakan media audio-visual saat mengajar membaca puisi dengan langkah-langkah pembelajaran yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini.Kata Kunci : Media audio-visual, membaca puisi This research aimed to (1) describe the activities and learning steps in improving the students’ ability in reading poetry using audio-visual media (2) describe the improvement of students’ ability in poetry reading using audio-visual media (3) describe the students’ responds about the learning process of poetry reading using audio-visual media. This is classroom action research which was conducted into two cycles. The research subjects were Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia teacher and students at class VII E of SMP Negeri 7 Singaraja. Meanwhile, the research objects were learning activities and steps of learning, improving students’ ability, and students’ responds in using audio-visual media. In this research, data collection technique used was test, documentation, observation, and questioner methods. The obtained data from test and questioner method were analyzed using descriptive quantitative technique. The obtained data from documentation and observation method were analyzed using descriptive qualitative technique. The research result showed that there was (1) improvement of mean score in poetry reading from 79 on cycle I became 88 on cycle II, (2) Audio-visual media able to increase the students’ confidence on reading time, (3) some appropriate steps of learning in poetry reading using audio-visual media such as explaining the material, giving enrichment, and attracting the students’ attention, (4) positive responds of students about the use of audio-visual media in learning process poetry reading. Therefore, the researcher recommend to Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia teacher to use audio-visual media when teach the poetry reading using the learning steps as found in this research. keyword : Audio-visual media, poetry reading

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis paragraf narasi dengan menggunakan metode sugesti berbantuan media komik di kelas X.1 SMA Negeri 2 Banjar, (2) kiat-kiat guru dalam mengimplementasikan langkah-langkah pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi dengan menggunakan metode sugesti berbantuan media komik pada siswa kelas X.1 di SMA Negeri 2 Banjar, (3) aktivitas siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi dengan menggunakan metode sugesti berbantuan media komik di kelas X.1 SMA Negeri 2 Banjar, dan (4) respons siswa terhadap penerapan metode sugesti berbantuan media komik dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi di kelas X.1 SMA Negeri 2 Banjar. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan melalui dua siklus dan berlatar di kelas X.1 SMA Negeri 2 Banjar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas X.1 di SMA Negeri 2 Banjar yang berjumlah 32 orang, sedangkan yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini ada dua. Pertama, objek yang mencerminkan proses yaitu kiat guru dalam mengimplementasikan langkah-langkah pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, dan respons siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi dengan menerapkan metode sugesti berbantuan media komik. Kedua, objek yang mencerminkan produk yaitu hasil belajar berupa peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas X.1 di SMA Negeri 2 Banjar dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi. Data hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis paragraf narasi dikumpulkan dengan metode tes yang dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif, data kiat-kiat guru dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dan wawancara yang dianalisis dengan metode deskripstif kualitatif, data aktifitas siswa dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi yang dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dan data respons siswa dikumpulkan dengan metode kuesioner yang dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) penerapan metode sugesti berbantuan media komik dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar menulis paragraf narasi siswa, hal ini ditandai dengan perolehan skor rata-rata menulis paragraf narasi siswa 74,90 pada siklus I menjadi 81,28 pada siklus II, (2) guru menggunakan kiat-kiat pembelajaran yang tepat dalam mengimplementasikan langkah-langkah pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi dengan menerapkan metode sugesti berbantuan media komik, (3) aktivitas siswa berubah ke arah yang positif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi dengan menerapkan metode sugesti berbantuan media komik, dan (4) menumbuhkan respons siswa yang sangat positif dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi. Berdasarkan temuan-temuan dalam penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode sugesti berbantuan media komik dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar menulis paragraf narasi siswa, serta penerapan metode ini direspon sangat positif oleh siswa kelas X.1 di SMA Negeri 2 Banjar. Berdasarkan kesimpulan tersebut, peneliti menyarankan agar guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia menerapkan metode sugesti berbantuan media komik ini dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf narasi dan guru juga hendaknya mempertimbangkan pemilihan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan metode pembelajaran yang akan diterapkan dan menyusun langkah pembelajaran dengan baik, sehingga hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa sesuai dengan yang diharapan.Kata Kunci : metode sugesti, media komik, aktivitas, hasil belajar, menulis narasi. The objective of this study is to find out: (1) the improvement of students’ narrative paragraph writing activities and achievement of class X.1 in SMA Negeri 2 Banjar, (2) the teacher’s strategies in implementing the procedure of writing narrrative paragraph by using suggestion method assisted with comic media to the students of class X.1 in SMA Negeri 2 Banjar, (3) the students’ actitivies in writing narrative paragraph by using suggestion method assisted with comic media in class X.1 in SMA Negeri 2 Banjar, and (4) the students’ responds toward the implementation of suggestion method assisted with comic media in narrative paragraph writing in class X.1 in SMA Negeri 2 Banjar. This study is a classroom based action research which was implented in two cycles. The subject in this study was the students in class X.1 SMA Negeri 2 Banjar which involved 32 students. Meanwhile, there were two objects in this study. The first obeject reflected the process involving the teacher’s strategies in implementing the teaching procedure, the students’ activities, and the students’ responds toward the implementation of suggestion method assisted with comic media in narrative paragraph writing. The second object reflected the product which involved the students’ learning achievement in the form of their improvement in narrative paragraph writing achievement. The data were collected through test and analyzed by using descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis. The data in the form of the teacher’s strategies in teaching were obtained through observation and interview, and the data about students’ activities were obtained through observation. Both data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative analysis. Meanwhile, the data in the form of students’ response were obtained through questionnaire and analyzed quantitatively. The result of this research showed that (1) the implementation of suggestion method assisted with comic media is able to improve the students’ narrative paragraph writing achievement improve the students’ narrative paragraph writing achievement, in which the students’ mean score improved from 74,90 in first cycle into 81,28 in second cycle, (2) make the teachers applied appropriate strategies in implementing suggestion method assisted with comic media to the students, (3) student activity changed in a positive direction in teaching writing narrative paragraph by implementation of suggestion method assisted with comic media, and (4) create positive responds from the students in writing narrative paragraphs. Based on the findings in this study, it can be concluded that the application of the method of suggestion aided comic medium can enhance the activity and the learning outcomes of students write a narrative paragraph, as well as the application of this method responded well by X.1 grade students at SMAN 2 Banjar. Based on these conclusions, the researchers suggested that the Indonesian language and literature teachers implement media assisted method of comics this suggestion in teaching writing narrative paragraphs and teachers should also consider the selection of instructional media in accordance with the teaching methods to be applied and properly setting the pace of learning, so that learning outcomes obtained by the student in accordance with the expected.keyword : suggestion method, comic media, activities, students’ achievement, narrative writing.

Abstract

In Bali, Balinese dancing have become a tradition that has existed since a long time ago. Mepajar is a sacred activity that involves Balinese dancing such as Sandar Gede, Sandar Cenik, Rangda, dan Barong. The aims of this research were, 1) to describe how the process of implementing the Mepajar tradition in the Kedonganan traditional village and 2) to describe what educational values are included in the Mepajar tradition in the Kedonganan traditional village. The research was qualitative research. The conclusion of this research is the Mepajar tradition in the Kedonganan traditional village begins with the emergence of the Sandar Cenik dance, Sandar Gede followed by the Barong Ket, Rarung and Rangda dance performances and it takes about three hours. The Mepajar tradition in the Kedonganan traditional village has three educational values, i.e. religious education value, moral education value, and social education value.

Abstract

This research is intended to find out the forms of discourse, which are relevant to the develop¬ment of thinking abilities of the elementary school children of the third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades. For this purpose, experiment has been conducted in 8 (eight) elementary schools, covering 4 urban elemen¬tary schools and 4 city elementary schools. As a whole, there are 160 samples involved in this study. These samples are determined by making use of stratified random sampling technique. The data being collected in this first stage of research are in the forms of the ability in comprehending the content of reading text. These data were collected by means of test which were administered 48 times for every subject, within 24 weeks of experimentation. The data of the test were collected in the forms of interval data rates. For the purpose of completing the data, an interview as to the development of the children’s thinking ability in relation to the forms of discourse, in this case reading texts, was also carried out. The data were analyzed by using univariant statistical analysis and variant analysis. The result of the analysis shows that: (1) the forms of discourse (reading text) relevant to the development of thinking ability of the third grade of elementary school are narration; (2) the forms of discourse relevant to the fourth grade are narration and exposition; (3) for the fifth grade are exposition, description, and argumentation; (4) and for the sixth grade are a mixture of all forms of discourse or texts.

Abstract

This research give answers to the following five problems; they are (1) the lexico grammar of AjiBlegodawa Text (Text Aji Blegodawa; hereon abbreviated to TAB); (2) the context of situation (register)and the context of culture (genre) of TAB; (4) the ideational, interpersonal and textual meanings of TAB;and (5) the values in TAB. Note taking method was employed for collecting the data needed for thelexicogrammar, the context of situation, the functions, meanings, and the values. The data needed for thecultural context were collected by note taking, questionnaire, observation and structured interview.Structured interview, in which eleven informants were interviewed, was also employed for collecting dataneeded for the values. Functional system linguistics (hereon abbreviated to FSL) introduced by Hallidaywas employed to analyze the data (Halliday, 1985: 2004; 2005); (Halliday and Maththiessen, 2004).The findings show that the frequencies of the processes in the text are as follows: the materialprocess appears 674 times (52.29%); the relational process takes place 233 times (18.08%) and the mentalprocess occurs 177 (13.73%).With regard to circumstances, the circumstance of location is the most dominant followed by thecircumstance of manner. From the context of situation, it can be identified that the field is black magic;from the participants, it can be identified that the main participant is Blegodawa. The mode issimultaneously used to form the configuration of meaning. It can be revealed that the main participantsupported by the supporting participants kill the victim. Viewed from the cultural point of view, thecultural norms referred to in TAB destroy life. The linguistic functionsin TAB are: 1) ideational function which includes belief, the tradition of the magic world, taboo,historical relationship and ritual; 2) interpersonal function which includes interactive function and selfexpressive function and 3) textual function. The meanings in TAB include ideational meaning,interpersonal meaning and textual meaning. The values in TAB include: 1) the value of power (theintention to have the power) which is made up of a) religious value as the basis for having the intention tohave the power); b) the magic value as the basis for having the intention to have the power; c) the magicsocio cultural value as the basis for having the intention to have the power; 2) the achievement value (theintention of achieving something) as the basis for having the intention to achieve something magically; 3)the hedonism value and 4) the value of universalism.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims at knowing: 1) the level of young generations’ knowledge about the use oftraditional medical plantation for curing children’s diseases; and 2) the implication of theaims 1 above to Eco linguistics. This study took place in the province of Bali, consisting of8 regencies and one city government. The total samples of the study were 225 younggenerations’ and 45 spiritual people. The samples of the study were determined by usingpurposive quota sampling. The data related to the young generations’ knowledge werecollected through test. The data as to the implication of aims 1 were gathered by means ofinterview. The result of the study shows that: 1) the Balinese young generations’ knowledgeabout the use of traditional medical plantation is 48.4% (not enough); and 2) the younggenerations having better knowledge and will be more familiar with the terms of medicalplantation, such as the young generations in Karangasem with the percentage of 73.12%(good), the young generations in Klungkung 70.50% (good), and Bangli 71.36% (good).They are a bit more familiar with medical plantation terms. Referring to the result of thestudy, it is suggested to socialize about the usefulness of medical plantation, the improvementof the skill in producing medicine from medical plantation, and synergizing the relatedcomponents to lexical maintenance and environment.

Abstract

This study aims at investigating: (1) adolescent lexical knowledge about traditional medicinal plants from ecolinguistic perspective and (2) adolescent attitude toward traditional medical plants and its effect on ecology and ecolinguistics as an effort at preserving environment and lexis of medicinal plants. This study was conducted to 125 adolescents in Buleleng regency in 25 villages in 9 districts. The data were obtained through interview, observation, and lexical competence test. The data were processed descriptively. The result shows that the adolescent lexical knowledge about traditional medicinal plants is as follows. 28 rural adolescents (37.33% ) has an adequate knowledge , 47 (62.66%) an inadequate knowledge and 9 urban adolescents (18%) an adequate knowledge, 38 (76%) an inadequate knowledge and 3 ( 6%) a low level of knowledge. Ecolinguistically, this has an effect on reduction of lexical forms on the part of the adolescents. Fourty percent of the adolescent attitude showed disagreement with the assumption of backwardness and low opinion about the users of the traditional medicinal plants this is a positive attitude of the adolescents and is a good asset in the effort at developing faithful attitude, pride and awareness of the use of medicinal plants to preserve the ecology and ecolinguistics.
