Abstract

This study aims at knowing: 1) the skill of the young generation in cultivating traditional medical plantation for children’s disease, 2) the implication of the first goal towards ecolinguistics. The setting of the study was in Bali province, consisting of 8 regencies and one city government, with the total of samples of young generation 360 and the sample of healers 45 individuals. The samples were determined by using purposive quota sampling technique. Thedata about the skill were collected observation, and the data about the implication the first goal were collected through interview. The result of the study shows that: 1) the skill of the young generation in cultivating traditionalmedical plantation was totally 58.5%, and partially there were young generations who could cultivate traditional medical plantation, such as Karangasem 73.12 (good), Klungkung 70.50 (good), and Bangli 71.36 (good), 2) the implication of   the first goal to eco-linguistics is that the young generations having better ability in cultivating medical plantation are more familiar with the medical plantation terms, though the physical representation of the plant is not definitelyknown. In this case, the skill in cultivating traditional plantation and the synergy among the related components are needed to increase for the maintenance of the medical plantation terms and environmental preservation.

Abstract

This research aims at investigating: 1) the lexical farm of traditional medical plants for children deseas according to Usada Rare; 2) young generations knowledge about the lexical forms of traditional medical plants for children’s diseases in accordance with Usada Rare manuscripts; 3) the uses of the lexical forms of traditional medical plants in adults speech. The setting of this study is the province of Bali, consisting of eight regencies and one city government, with the total number of samples of 225 adults and 2545 traditional headers. The samples of the study were determined by using purposive quota sampling technique. The dates about the lexical forms were collected by means of documentations method and note-talking technique. The data about the adults knowledge as to the traditional medical plants were obtained through structured questionnaire and lexical competency test. The data concerning the adults speech were gained through speaking test. Then, the data were analyzed descriptively. The result of the study shows that; 1) the lexical forms of the traditional medical plants according to Usada Rare were 122 types, which are classified into general and specific material ; 2) the young generations knowledges about the lexical forms can be categorized into : a) the young generation having very strong believe towards traditional medications and having very strong maintainance as to the lexical forms of medical plants, such as adult in Klungkung regency 247 (49,40%); Karangasem 226 (45,20%), and Bangli 210 (42%); b) The group of community having a strong confidence about modern medication will have a weaker maintainance about the lexical forms of medical plants, such as Denpasar 60 individuals ( 12%), Badung 65 people (13%), and Buleleng 83 persons ( 16,60%). The uses of lexical forms in speech were limited to the contexts of curing deseases. Suggestions are directed to health department, Bapedal, Dishutbun, and Documents Centre of Balinese Culture, to take care, socialize and conserve the environment together for the sake of keepingthe health of the nature, culture and community.

Abstract

This article investigates the transitivity of Pangiwa (black magic) of Aji Bl?godawa text. The study was conducted by using Functional Systemic Linguistics. The data were analyzed by document recording method following the procedures : (1) classification of Aji Bl?godawa text based on similarity of content, (2) modification of the text, (3) analysis by using the functional systemic linguistics model (Halliday, 1985, 2004, 2005 ; Halliday and Matthiessen, 2004). The results showed that material process totaled 553 (48.47%) or ranked first. The second ranking went to relational process, with the total of 175 (20.42%). The third ranking was occupied by mental process with the total of 147 (15.70%). In the light the findings, as a procedural text, Aji Bl?godawa text necessitates the presence of action as the procedure in realizing the transitivity of procedural text.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji metode pengajaran membaca dan menulis permulaan, yang merupakan fondasi vital dan kebutuhan primer setiap anak didik untuk dapat melanjutkan studinya ke jenjang pendidikan  yang lebih tinggi. Fondasi vital dan kebutuhan primer ini diperlukan atas hasil riset Ismail yang dikutip Imran membuktikan bahwa keterampilan menulis siswa Indonesia paling rendah di Asia. Hal ini diduga karena rendahnya kemampuan membaca siswa. Sebagaimana dilaporkan oleh Bank Dunia pada 1988 hasil tes membaca murid SD di Indonesia berada pada peringkat terendah di Asia Timur. Atas dasar ini, pengajaran membaca dan menulis permulaan perlu dicarikan solusi. Salah satu solusi itu ialah pengajaran membaca dan menulis permulaan dengan metode analisis – sintetis dan fonik (GASIF). Global (G) berperan memberikan gambaran umum dengan tujuan memudahkan siswa untuk belajar. Hal ini sesuai dengan konsep belajar yang dimulai dari yang mudah ke yang sulit.Kata kunci: GASIF, Membaca, Menulis Permulaan

Abstract

This study aims to examine the form and value of local wisdom contained in the traditional game of the penyu mataluh in Serangan from an ethnopedagogy point of view. The research data are in the form of descriptions of body movements in the steps of the game and song lyrics that show the value of local wisdom. Sources of data in this study are children who play the traditional game of the penyu mataluh and the community. The data collection method is the method of listening, taking notes, observing, and interviewing. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the penyu mataluh game has a form of local wisdom in the form of words, namely, poetry that is sung when playing and actions in the form of body movements that are reflected in the steps of the game. This game can be preserved by making game applications that can be downloaded on mobile phones similar to the original game, teaching the game in schools and cultural studios, and more research on local wisdom on traditional games.

Abstract

Sikap bahasa (language attitude) pada umumnya dianggap sebagai Perilaku terhadap bahasa. Berbagai aspek bahasa Bali mulai dari struktur bahasanya sampai pada masalah variasi dan sejarahnya telah mendapat perhatian para peneliti. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) kemampuan berbahasa Bali di kalangan siswa kelas XII, (2) sikap berbahasa Bali di kalangan siswa kelas XII, (3) hubungan antara kemampuan berbahasa Bali dengan sikap berbahasa Bali di kalangan siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 2 Singaraja. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Kelas XII di SMA N 2 Singaraja dengan jumlah Populasi sebanyak 222 Orang. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer berupa penyebaran kuesioner dan data sekunder berupa dokumen yang diperoleh dari arsip guru. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi dan metode kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi, analisis regresi linear berganda, uji T-Test dan uji F-Test dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 21.00 Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) rata-rata kemampuan berbahasa bali di kalangan Siswa kelas XII sebesar 73,62% dengan kategori cukup, (2) rata-rata Sikap Berbahasa Bali siswa Kelas XII sebesar 41,98% dengan kategori sangat kurang, (3) Kemampuan berbahasa Bali memiliki hubungan yang positif dan sangat kuat dengan sikap berbahasa Bali di kalangan siswa kelas XII di SMA Negeri 2 Singaraja koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,995. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan hasil pengujian hipotesis secara parsial maupun simultan dengan uji T-Test dan F-Test didapatkan bahwa T-hitung dan F-hitung > T-tabel dan F-tabel sehingga hipotesis diterima. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan dan Sikap Berbahasa Bali Language attitude is generally regarded as the behavior of the language. Various aspects of Balinese language ranging from the structure of the language to the problem of variation and its history has got the attention of researchers. Accordingly, this study aims to determine (1) the ability to speak Bali among students of class XII, (2) the attitude of Balinese language among students of class XII, (3) the relationship between language skills speaking Bali with attitude Bali among the students of class XII SMA Negeri 2 Singaraja. The research was conducted in Class XII at SMA N 2 Singaraja Alt population of 222 people. Source of data in this study are primary data in the form of questionnaires and secondary data such as documents obtained from the archives of teachers. Data collection method used is the method of documentation and questionnaire method. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, test T-test and F-test Test with SPSS version 21:00 The results showed that (1) the average proficiency in bali among students of class XII at 73.62% with enough categories, (2) the average attitude Speak Bali Class XII student of 41.98% with very poor category, (3) The ability to speak Bali has a positive and very strong with Balinese language attitudes among students of class XII at SMAN 2 Singaraja correlation coefficient of 0.995. This result is proved by the results of hypothesis testing partially and multiple with the T-Test test and F-test showed that the T-test and F-count > T-table and the F-table so that the hypothesis is accepted. keyword : Ability and Attitude Speak Bali

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) problematika guru dalam pembelajaran berbicara di kelas VIII-2 SMP Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja dan (2) problematika siswa dalam pembelajaran berbicara di kelas VIII-2 SMP Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru bahasa Indonesia yang mengajar di kelas VIII-2 SMP Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja dan siswa di kelas VIII-2 SMP Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja. Objek penelitian ini adalah problematika guru dalam pembelajaran berbicara dan problematika siswa dalam pembelajaran berbicara. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan, yaitu metode observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah, lembar observasi, kartu data, dan wawancara tidak terstruktur. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan model analisis deskriptif kualitatif melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penyimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) problematika guru dalam pembelajaran berbicara didapat dari tiga komponen, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Problematika dalam perencanaan pembelajaran berbicara, yaitu terletak pada rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) pada komponen Standar Kompetensi, Indikator Pembelajaran, Tujuan Pembelajaran, Kegiatan Pembelajaran, dan Media dan Sumber Belajar. Problematika dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbicara yaitu pada kegiatan awal guru memberikan apersepsi yang kurang bervariasi. Pada kegiatan inti, guru tidak menggunakan media sebagai alat bantu dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan pada kegiatan akhir guru tidak melakukan evaluasi langsung setelah pembelajaran berakhir. Problematika dalam evaluasi pembelajaran berbicara, yaitu guru tidak melakukan evaluasi langsung setelah pelaksanaan pembelajaran berakhir seperti yang sudah ada dalam rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP). (2) Problematika siswa dalam pembelajaran berbicara mencakup satu aspek, yaitu faktor-faktor penyebab problematika siswa dalam pembelajaran berbicara. Faktor-faktor penyebab problematika siswa dalam pembelajaran berbicara terdiri atas dua faktor, yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal terdiri dari (a) penguasaan tekanan, nada, jeda, intonasi, dan ritme, (b) pemilihan kata dan ungkapan yang baik, (c) rasa malu, (d) rasa takut, dan (e) rasa kurang percaya diri. Faktor eksternal terdiri dari (a) suara atau bunyi dan (b) media.Kata Kunci : Kata kunci: problematika, pembelajaran, berbicara ABSTRACT This study used descriptive qualitative research approach that aimed at find out (1) teacher’s problematic in speaking learning at class VIII-2 of SMP Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja and (2) student’s problematic in speaking learning at class VIII-2 of SMP Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja. Subject of this study were Indonesian’s teacher who taught at class VIII-2 of SMP Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja and students at class VIII-2 of SMP Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja. Object in this study were teacher’s problematic in speaking learning and student’s problematic in speaking learning. Data collection method that used were, i.e. the method of observation, documentation, and interviews. The instrument used in this study were observation sheet, data card, and unstructured interviews. Data was analyzed by using descriptive qualitative analysis model through three steps, i.e. data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of this study were (1) teacher’s problematic in speaking learning was be obtained from three components, i.e. planning, implementation, and evaluation. Problematic in speaking learning planning, i.e. was set up in the lesson plan (RPP) at competence standard, learning indicator, learning purpose, learning activity, and also media and learn source. Problematic in speaking learning implementation was at first activity teacher gave apperception that not have variation enough. At contents activity, teacher was not using media as auxiliary instrument in learning implementation and at end activity teacher was not doing evaluation immediately after learning become extinct. Problematic in speaking learning evaluation was teacher was not doing evaluation immediately after learning become extinct such as there is the lesson plan (RPP) already. (2) Student’s problematic in speaking learning included an aspect was cause of student’s problematic in speaking learning factors. Cause of student’s problematic in speaking learning factors comprise of two factors, i.e. internal factor and external factor. Internal factor consisting of (a) pressure governance, pitch, juncture, intonation, and rhythm, (b) word selection and good idiom, (c) embarrassed feeling, (d) be afraid feeling, and (e) not selfreliant enough feeling. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah penggunaan metode tutor sebaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap isi teks dongeng siswa kelas VIIA1 SMP Negeri 3 Sawan, (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan pemahaman isi teks dongeng dengan menggunakan metode tutor sebaya siswa kelas VIIA1 SMP Negeri 3 Sawan, (3) mendeskripsikan respons siswa terhadap penerapan metode tutor sebaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap isi teks dongeng siswa kelas VIIA1 SMP Negeri 3 Sawan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A yang berjumlah 25 orang. Objek penelitian ini adalah langkah-langkah, peningkatan hasil dan respons siswa dalam penerapan penerapan metode tutor sebaya. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode tes, observasi, dan kuesioner. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) tercapainya ketuntasan hasil belajar pemahaman isi teks dongeng siswa berkat diterapkannya penerapan metode tutor sebaya, yakni pada pratindakan skor rata-rata klasikal 70,76, siklus I memperoleh skor rata-rata klasikal 74,39, sedangkan pada siklus II nilai rata-rata klasikal siswa menjadi 79,00, (2) terdapat beberapa langkah penerapan penerapan metode tutor sebaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan memahami isi teks dongeng. Langkah-langkah tersebut menekankan pada pembelajaran menemukan karakteristik, unsur-unsur intrinsik, hal-hal menarik dan membuat sinopsis dongeng, dan (3) siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penerapan penerapan metode tutor sebaya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, peneliti lain disarankan untuk menerapkan penerapan metode tutor sebaya, sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran inovatif, pada mata pelajaran bahasa yang lain pada umumnya dan pada pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada khususnya.Kata Kunci : Kata kunci: tutor sebaya, isi teks dongeng. Abstract This action research was aimed to (1) describe steps in implementing peer teaching method to improve students understanding upon the content of tales in class VIIA1 at SMP Negeri 3 Sawan, (2) describe the improvement of students understanding upon the content of tales in class VIIA1 SMP Negeri 3 Sawan, and (3) describe students responses toward the implementation of peer teaching method to improve students understanding upon the content of tales in class VIIA1 t SMP Negeri 3 Sawan, Subjects of this study were 25 students of VII A. Objects of this study were steps, scores improvement and students responses in implementing peer teaching method. Data were collected by using test, observation and questionnaire and then analyzed both by using descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative. The result found in this study were (1) there was achieved mastery of learning outcomes by the students in understanding the content of tales after the implementation of peer teaching method of teaching, in which in the pretest the mean score was 70,76, first cycle obtained mean score of 74,39, while in the second cycle the mean score of the students was 79,00, (2) there were steps in implementing peer teaching method to improve students competency in understanding the content of tales. Those steps emphasized on finding characteristics, intrinsic elements, interesting terms, and making the synopsis of the tales, (3) students presented high positive responses toward the implementation of peer teaching. Based on the result of this study, other researchers is suggested to implement peer teaching method becomes one innovative method generally in teaching language and specifically in teaching Bahasa.keyword : Keywords: peer teaching, content of tales.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan memaparkan (1) kesalahan ejaan bahasa Indonesia dalam esai mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, (2) kesalahan diksi bahasa Indonesia dalam esai mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, dan (3) kesalahan struktur bahasa Indonesia dalam esai mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. Subjek penelitian ini adalah esai mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. Objek penelitian ini adalah kesalahan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalam esai mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia yang meliputi aspek ejaan, diksi, dan struktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 35 jenis pemakaian ejaan, kesalahan yang ditemukan adalah sebanyak 45,71%. Kesalahan yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah kesalahan pemakaian tanda koma, kemudian kesalahan pemakaian huruf kapital, penulisan kata depan di, ke, dari, unsur serapan, kata dasar, kata turunan, pemakaian tanda pisah, pemakaian huruf miring, penulisan partikel pun, penulisan lambang bilangan, pemakaian tanda titik, tanda hubung, tanda titik koma, tanda tanya, tanda seru, dan tanda petik. Sementara itu, dari sembilan jenis penggunaan diksi, kesalahan yang ditemukan sebanyak 66,66%. Kesalahan diksi yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah pemakaian kata yang salah, lalu, penggunaan kata bersinonim, kata depan, ungkapan penghubung, idiom, dan unsur bahasa sehari-hari. Selanjutnya, dari sembilan jenis kesalahan struktur, kesalahan yang ditemukan adalah sebanyak 77,78%. Kesalahan struktur yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah kesalahan keterpaduan kalimat, lalu, kesalahan keutuhan, keringkasan, dan keterpusatan perhatian kalimat. Kesalahan selanjutnya adalah pengimbuhan kata, hukum MD, hukum DM. The subject of this research is the essay made by undergraduate student of Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. The object of this research is the errors in the use of Indonesian language in undergraduate students’ essay of Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia included some aspects such as spelling, diction, and structure. The method which was used to obtain data is documentation method. The result of this study showed that from the 35 types of spelling errors, it is found as much as 45.71%. The most frequent errors found in the use of Indonesian spelling is errors in the use of coma, the use of capital letter, the use of preposition di, ke, dari, unsur serapan, root, derivative word, the use of dashes, the use of italic word, the use of particle pun, number writing, the use of full stop, conjunctive symbol, semicolon, question mark, exclamation mark, and quotation mark. Meanwhile, from the nine of diction errors, it is found as much as 66,66%. Indonesian diction errors which are most commonly found is the use of the wrong word, followed by a synonymous word usage errors, preposition, conjunctive expression, idioms, and elements of everyday language. Furthermore, of the nine types of structural errors, mistakes found are as much as 77.78%. Error in Indonesian structure most commonly found is a sentence alignment error, followed by an integrity error, conciseness, and the centering attention of sentence. The other errors is affixation, the rule of MD, the rule of DM. Those errors found attend to occur repeatedly, even more than twice.keyword : error, Indonesian, essay

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang terdapat dalam novel “Bekisar Merah” karya Ahmad Tohari, dan (2) kesesuaian novel “Bekisar Merah” karya Ahmad Tohari sebagai bahan pembelajaran sastra. Subjek penelitian ini adalah novel “Bekisar Merah” karya Ahmad Tohari. Objek penelitian ini adalah nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang terdapat dalam novel “Bekisar Merah” karya Ahmad Tohari dan kesesuaiannya sebagai bahan pembelajaran sastra. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dalam novel “Bekisar Merah” sangat beragam yang terdiri atas, nilai hedonik, nilai artistik, nilai kultural, nilai etis, moral, dan religius, serta nilai praktis. Selain nilai-nilai tersebut, ada beberapa nilai kemanusiaan yang peneliti temukan dalam novel tersebut, diantaranya kasih sayang, tolong-menolong, keyakinan, jujur, tenggang rasa, rela berkorban, tanggung jawab, tata karma, dan bijaksana, semua nilai kemanusiaan tersebut sangat tepat bagi pengembangan karakter siswa. (2) novel “Bekisar Merah” karya Ahmad Tohari tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pembelajaran sastra karena menggunakan kata-kata yang mudah dipahami dan terdapat banyak nilai pendidikan karakter yang bisa diterapkan dalam pembelajaran sastra khususnya dalam membahas novel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, peneliti lain disarankan untuk meneliti lebih mendalam lagi tentang nilai-nilai kemanusiaan yang terdapat dalam karya sastra khusnya novel.Kata Kunci : nilai kemanusiaan, novel “Bekisar Merah”, Ahmad Tohari, pembelajaran, sastra. This study aimed at describing (1) the values of humanity contained in the novel entitled “Bekisar Merah” by Ahmad Tohari, and (2) the appropriateness of the novel entitled “Bekisar Merah” by Ahmad Tohari as a material for teaching literature. The subject of this study was a novel entitled “Bekisar Merah” by Ahmad Tohari. The object was values of humanity contained in the novel Bekisar Merah by Ahmad Tohari and its appropriateness as a material for teaching literature. The data collection method used in this study was documentation. The data were then analyzed using a descriptive qualitative technique. The results of this study were (1) the values of humanity in the novel "Bekisar Merah" were very diverse consisting of hedonic value, artistic value, cultural value, ethical, moral, religious, as well as practical value. In addition to these values, there were some values of humanity that the researcher observed within the novel, including affection, mutual help, confidence, honesty, tolerance, sacrifice, responsibility, manners, and thoughtful, all of the values of humanity were very precise for the character development of the students. (2) the novel entitled "Bekisar Merah" by Ahmad Tohari could be used as material for teaching literature as it used simple and understandable words and there were many values of character education that could be applied in the study of literature especially in discussing the novel itself.
