Abstract

This current enquiry questions the role of religion to political authority and organisational governance in medieval Europe utilising a qualitative historical research method and inference analysis to understand the level to which the ecclesiastical endorsement, ritual practice and institutionalised legitimacy affected the stability of political authority. These findings show that ecclesiastical power, that of the Church in the first place continued to provide the greatest means of legitimising rulers and often overshadowed military and fiscal capabilities in respect to determinate power. Symbolic customs and aboveboard punishments by the Church provided rulers with not only cultural rationalisation but also organisational entrenchment allowing weak polities to endure rule in the decades of warfare and scarcity. Taken together, these results emphasise the importance of legitimacy as a non-material resource in political and organisational systems to problematise materialist power explanations. In the light of management studies, similarities to current organisational practice can be drawn: contemporary business, much like its medieval equivalent, relies on symbolic capital, narrative processes and legitimacy to build power and to generate stability and strength. Thus, medieval Church can be considered one of the enlighteners in legitimacy management process that also helps to depict how in adherence to values, beliefs and institutional control is the basis of governance, regardless of the historical time.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of Village Fund management in the development of environmental infrastructure in Binuang Village, Libureng District, Bone Regency. The research focus includes transparency, participation and accountability as the main principles of good village financial governance. The approach used is descriptive qualitative through observation, interviews and documentation. Data was obtained from primary sources such as the village head, village secretary and village treasurer, as well as secondary sources in the form of village financial reports for 2020–2022. The research results show that the management of village funds in the construction of facilities and infrastructure in Binuang Village, Libureng District, Bone Regency, can be concluded that development funds are managed well, transparently, accountably and participatively. However, there are disparities in environmental infrastructure development. In 2020, development will only focus on Binuang Hamlet and the construction of drilled wells in Kau-Kaue Hamlet. In 2021, development will be more evenly distributed, but in 2022, development will again be concentrated in Binuang, Lacumpe and Paddusa hamlets. This reflects the management priorities of the village government.

Abstract

This study examines the short-run dynamics and long-run relationships between foreign direct investment (FDI), exports, imports, and economic growth in Indonesia using annual time-series data from 1990 to 2024. Employing a Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), the analysis captures both long-term equilibrium relationships and short-term adjustments among the variables. The results reveal the existence of cointegration, indicating a stable long-run relationship. Empirical findings show that, in the long run, FDI has a statistically significant negative effect on economic growth, while imports exert a positive and significant impact. Exports, however, do not demonstrate a significant effect on growth in either the short or long run. These results suggest that FDI inflows in Indonesia are largely concentrated in non-productive sectors, limiting their contribution to sustainable economic growth, whereas imports play a crucial role in supporting industrial production through capital goods and intermediate inputs. The study highlights the importance of redirecting FDI toward high-value-added sectors and maintaining strategic import policies to promote long-term economic growth.

Abstract

Online tourism and social media have transformed the way people view and experience local culture, including the Kajang Dalam indigenous community, which maintains strict ethical, moral, and modesty rules. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how Kajang Dalam women maintain and disseminate traditional values amidst digital trends that drive increased tourist visits. The study will also examine how they communicate through visual representations that often do not align with the cultural context. This research utilizes qualitative methods by conducting semi-structured interviews with indigenous women, tourism practitioners, and purposively selected traditional leaders. To analyze the data thematically, source triangulation and cross-checking with informants were used to ensure credibility. The results show that Kajang Dalam women maintain moral values, regulate social etiquette, and are active cultural interpreters, asserting customary boundaries within digital tourism practices. They reprimand moral violations, educate tourists, and limit the use of technology in certain traditional areas, serving as a bridge between tradition and change. The results suggest that women play a strategic role in maintaining cultural resilience and strengthening community identity amidst the digitalization of tourism.

Abstract

Data becomes a valuable asset today. With so much data, current technology can open up the possibility to process and make predictions. Machine Learning (ML) is part of Artificial Intelligence (AI) which has become an important tool in software systems in optimizing running systems. Image Classification is one of the topics of Machine Learning that is widely used in machine learning. The application of image classification on the server-side is often done in every complex classification problem because it requires large computing power. This application uses the ml5.js library as a javascript library to process data in machine learning. The application of machine learning for clothing measurement allows users to make it easier to determine the size of clothes at the Reevant Supply IND store. Meanwhile, to support the use of machine learning on the website, a pre-trained model is needed. This study examines neural network settings such as epoch and optimal learning rate. In addition, to prove that you can be superior in training time and loss function values. The results of this study prove that it is easier for users to determine the size of clothes purchased at the Reevant Supply IND store much faster than prior consultation with the store admin

Abstract

Character education based on national values is an important foundation for developing a generation that is not only knowledgeable but also possesses moral integrity and a love for the homeland. This study aims to analyze the implementation strategy for character education grounded in national values in schools, emphasizing the roles of the curriculum, extracurricular activities, school culture, teacher role models, and parental involvement. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with literature analysis and empirical studies at Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato' Wan Ahmad Rasyid. The results show that internalization of national values can be achieved systematically through integration into core subjects, reinforcement through extracurricular activities, and instilling these values in the school culture. Furthermore, teachers serve as primary role models in demonstrating national-spirited behavior, while collaboration with parents ensures the sustainability of character education beyond school. Thus, the implementation strategy for character education based on national values is holistic and multi-layered, strengthening students' national identity while acting as a bulwark against the influence of globalization.
