Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (PjBL) dalam meningkatkan literasi bencana tanah longsor pada siswa sekolah dasar kelas lima. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimental dengan desain kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen. Subjek penelitian adalah 60 siswa yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner literasi bencana tanah longsor berdasarkan empat tingkat literasi Brown dkk. (2014). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada kedua kelompok, dengan kelas eksperimen mencapai skor rata-rata dan N-Gain yang lebih tinggi. PjBL terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi bencana tanah longsor pada siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Smong menjadi sebuah sastra lisan yang berasal dari Pulau Simeulue, Indonesia. Pengetahuan lokal masyarakat Simeulue mengenai Smong terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi korban tsunami 2004 silam. Nilai filosofis dan historis yang terkandung dalam smong menjadi sebuah alasan pentingnya masyarakat diluar Simeulue untuk mengenal sastra lisan ini. Selain menjadi topik menarik dalam mitigasi bencana, smong juga menarik saat diintegrasikan dalam berbagai lintas disiplin ilmu karena nilai – nilai yang terkandung didalamnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Systematic Literature Review (SLR) untuk mengetahui bagaimana integrasi smong dalam persfektif antropologi budaya, pendidikan, ilmu kebencanaan, dan media informasi dari penelitian – penelitian terdahulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa smong dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran, tradisi budaya, media penyampai ilmu mitigasi bencana, serta media informasi bagi masyarakat baik di dalam maupun diluar pulau Simeulue. Kemajuan teknologi menjadikan smong diteliti dan dikembangkan lebih luas oleh para peneliti.

Abstract

The goal of education is to develop learning processes that can help students reach their full potential through deliberate and planned efforts. Given the current state of the world, it is very important for elementary school students to understand the concept of economic activity. Students' conceptual understanding in various fields can be improved with the RADEC learning methodology. The purpose of this study is to determine how the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model affects fourth-grade elementary school students' conceptual understanding of economic activities. A quantitative method using a quasi-experimental design with unequal control groups for pretest and posttest was employed. The experimental class, which received instruction using the RADEC learning model, and the control class, which received instruction using traditional methods, were the subjects of the study. Tests consisting of descriptive questions were administered before and after instruction as part of the data collection strategy. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test, Mann-Whitney U test, and N-Gain calculation were used to analyze the data. A significance level of less than 0.001 in the Wilcoxon test, along with the results of the Mann-Whitney test with an Asymp. Sig. 2-tailed < 0.001, indicate a significant improvement in conceptual understanding in the experimental class after the implementation of the RADEC learning model. In the less effective category, the average N-Gain of the experimental class was 46.06%, which was higher than the control class, which only achieved 21.28% and was classified as ineffective. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the application of the RADEC model contributes to an increase in students' conceptual understanding, particularly in the field of Social Sciences related to economic activity topics.

Abstract

This study analyzes the need for the development of an electronic-based Interactive Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) in Social Studies (IPS) learning in grade V. Focusing on the initial analysis stage using the ADDIE development model, this study involved interviews with teachers to identify student needs, curriculum analysis, materials, and learning techniques. The results show that IPS learning is often monotonous due to the less interesting textbook-based approach and minimal use of technology. Teachers and students need E-LKPD as a more interactive teaching material to increase enthusiasm for learning, relevant to the Independent Curriculum which supports technology-based learning. The research method uses a research and development (R&D) approach, focusing on analyzing students' needs and learning styles. The use of E-LKPD is expected to overcome existing obstacles, provide a more creative and enjoyable learning experience, and increase student involvement in IPS learning.

Indonesia is ranked as the third most disaster-prone country according to the World Risk Report 2022. One of the most frequent disasters is earthquakes, with children among the most vulnerable groups. However, studies show that elementary school students have limited knowledge and preparedness regarding earthquake mitigation. This study aims to identify the need for effective learning media to support earthquake disaster mitigation education in elementary schools. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews with a fifth-grade teacher, direct observation of the school environment, and document analysis of teaching materials. The findings reveal that the current curriculum and textbooks do not explicitly present earthquake mitigation content. Furthermore, although the classroom environment is conducive to learning, essential disaster safety infrastructure, such as evacuation route signs, is still lacking. The teacher stated that students respond better to visual media, especially picture-based and contextually relevant materials. Based on these findings, the study concludes that there is a significant need for learning media that are engaging, concrete, and suited to students’ cognitive development stages. Picture storybooks are recommended as an effective medium, as they combine narrative and visual elements, making abstract concepts like disaster mitigation more comprehensible to young learners. The results support the integration of disaster education through appropriate media to enhance student preparedness in earthquake-prone regions.

Abstract

ABSTRACKHealth is a gift that should be grateful for and maintained, nutrition is part of health. Balanced nutrition can support the creation of a healthy and fit body. However, quite a few nutritional problems arise, one of which is the nutritional problem of stunting. Indonesia is being shocked by the nutritional problem of stunting. Problems that cause stunting in the subdistrict where we serve include babies being born stunted. This lack of nutritional intake can occur when the baby is still in the womb because the mother does not meet nutritional needs during pregnancy and lacks nutritional intake when the child is full of breast milk. Research carried out in Cilamajang Village, Tasikmalaya City in August 2023. This research method aims to find out and studying toddlers who have nutritional problems in Cilamajang Village, which is a phenomenological research study with a qualitative descriptive approach. The total number of community service activities carried out is approximately one month, which includes planning, implementation and evaluation activities. In the first step, the Community Service team identified village potential that could be used to solve the stunting problem in Cilamajang.

Abstract

Student Worksheets (LKPD) are rarely used in learning, especially in poetry appreciation learning. This is necessary for the development of the LKPD so that it complies with the requirements for preparing the LKPD and integrating the appreciation model into the LKPD. The aim of the research is to present the results of the needs analysis for LKPD based on the appreciation model in poetry learning. The approach chosen in research is qualitative with data collection methods through passive observation, structured interviews, and document content analysis. The research was conducted in 3 elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City, participants were taken from class IV students and teachers. The results of the research found that: (1) learning has not yet led to the stage of appreciating poetry where students only focus on theory, writing and reading poetry; (2) learning has not used the literary appreciation model; and (3) only 1 out of 3 elementary schools uses LKPD in poetry appreciation learning and has not integrated the appreciation model into LKPD. The results of the research that have been presented will have an impact on the poetry appreciation learning process being less than optimal, therefore it is necessary to develop LKPD based on the appreciation model.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the needs and analyze the problems of developing digital modules for science subjects based on ecoliteracy for grade V elementary school students. The research approach uses a descriptive qualitative method. The data collection techniques used include observation activities, interviews, and documentation studies. The subjects of the study include class V teachers and 3 elementary school class V students. Data analysis includes data collection activities, data selection and presentation, as well as describe conclusions or verifying data. The results of the study show that teachers have difficulties in integrating science and social studies learning due to the lack of comprehensive availability of teaching materials. In addition, the diversity of characteristics of students' understanding related to ecoliteracy can be prepared with teaching materials that can facilitate students' understanding of ecoliteracy. With the existence of learning achievement documents, the flow of learning objectives, teaching modules, and science science subject books can be used as a reference in the process of preparing teaching materials for learning modules. In line with technological developments, today's teaching materials can be electronic or digital-based. Thus, this study suggests the development of ecoliteracy-based digital modules to support students' understanding in learning science and science.

Abstract

Low understanding of concepts continues to be a problem in the world of education. Students' ability to understand concepts is very important because concepts are the basis for thinking to define and differentiate objects which can reduce conceptual errors. The aim of this research is to analyze students' misconceptions about human respiratory organs in class V at SDN Cibatu and find out the causes of students' misconceptions about human respiratory organs at class V at SDN Cibatu, as well as provide recommendations for overcoming the problem of students' misconceptions about human respiratory organs. in class V at SDN Cibatu. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects in the research were 24 class V students at SDN Cibatu. The data collection techniques include observation, tests, interviews and documentation. The results of this research indicate that there are misconceptions among class V students at SDN Cibatu. The most common misconception in question number 2 was regarding the function of the pharynx with a percentage of 83%. The things that cause students' misconceptions come from the students themselves, namely wrong preconceptions, wrong intuition, students' associative thinking, and students' lack of ability. Apart from that, the reason students come from educators.
