Abstract

Paradigma pendidikan era modern menuntut guru memiliki peran dalam mengorganisasi lingkungan belajar dan fasilitator belajar pada era abad 21. Hal ini diperlukan suatu model pembelajaran yang dapat melibatkan siswa secara aktif, seperti model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengkaji pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa IPA di SMP. Jenis penelitian quasi experimental design. Sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu kelas VIII A 31 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII C 30 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik dan instrumen pengumpulan data yaitu tes tulis, angket, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan SPSS 22.0 Uji Normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Uji Homogenitas One Way Anova, dan uji hipotesis independent sample t-test. Hasil analisis data keterampilan kolaborasi yaitu nilai sig.(2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. Sedangkan hasil analisis data kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu nilai sig.(2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 7E berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Abstrak: Diet tinggi lemak dan fruktosa dapat menginisiasi terjadinya sindroma metabolik, diantaranya dislipidemia, hiperglikemia, dan resistensi insulin. Labu kuning dengan varietas Cucurbita Moschata diketahui memiliki kadar karotenoid yang tinggi, terutama alpha dan beta-karoten, beta-criptoxanthina, lutein, dan zeaxanthin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan post test only group design menggunakan tikus Sprague Dawley kedalam 5 kelompok (Kelompok kontrol normal: tikus sehat; Kelompok kontrol hiperglikemia: diet tinggi lemak dan fruktosa (DTLF) ; Kelompok tepung labu kuning 0,16g/200g BB: DTLF ditambah tepung labu kuning 0,16g/200g BB ; Kelompok tepung labu kuning 0,32g/200g BB: DTLF ditambah tepung labu kuning 0,32g/200g BB; Kelompok tepung labu kuning 0,64g/200g BB: DTLF ditambah tepung labu kuning 0,64g/200g BB). Pemberian diet tinggi lemak dan fruktosa (DTLF) dilakukan selama 25 hari berturut-turut, selanjutnya dilakukan pemeriksaan kadar glukosa darah. Dilanjutkan pemberian tepung labu kuning dilakukan selama 4 minggu. Data dianalisis dengan uji parametrik yaitu one-way ANOVA dan uji t berpasangan dengan nilai probabilitas p kurang dari 0,05. Hasil uji oneway ANOVA terhadap delta kadar GDP menunjukkan perbedaan yang bermakna antar kelompok, dan hasil uji post hoc didapatkan bahwa delta kadar GDP K3, K4, K5, dan K2 berbeda secara bermakna p kurang dari 0,05. Hasil uji T berpasangan menunjukkan bahwa kadar GDP K2, K3, K4, dan K5 menunjukkan perbedaan yang bermakna setelah induksi DTLF dan setelah intervensi tepung labu kuning, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa intervensi tepung labu kuning dapat menurunkan kadar GDPAbstract: High-fat and fructose diet which lasts longer be considered as a factor in the initiation of metabolic syndrome, likes dyslipidemia, hyperglycemia, and insulin resistance. Pumpkins with varieties Cucurbita Moschata is known have high levels of carotenoids, especially alpha and beta-carotene, beta-criptoxanthina, lutein, and zeaxanthin. This study used quasi experimental with post test only control group design. Twenty five male Sprague Dawley rats were induced by induced high fat and fructose diet. Rats were randomly divided into five groups: (1) normal control rats group, (2) hyperglicemia control rats groups, (3) HFFD rats receive powder pumpkin 0,16g/200g weight, (4) HFFD rats receive powder pumpkin 0,32g/200g weight, and (5) HFFD rats receive powder pumpkin 0,64g/200g weight. HFFD was given for 25 days and continued pumpkin powder was given for 28 days. Blood glucose levels were analyzed using glucose oxidase p-aminophenazone (GOD-PAP) method. Expression of IRS-1 genes were estimated using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Data analysis was performed with One way ANOVA/Post Hoc test and dependent t-test with significance level of 0.05. The oneway ANOVA test results on the delta of GDP levels showed significant differences between groups (p less than 0.05), and post hoc test results showed that the delta of K3, K4, K5 and K2 GDP differed significantly by p less than 0.05. Paired T-test results showed that the GDP of K2, K3, K4, and K5 showed significant differences after DTLF induction and after intervention of the pumpkin powder, so it can be concluded that the intervention of the pumpkin powder may decrease the GDP level.

Abstract

Science process skills need to be owned by students in learning science. With science process skills, it is easier for students to conduct research and solve life problems by implementing science learning outcomes. Nevertheless, science learning involving science process skills is still challenging for teachers. This study aims to produce collaborative-based worksheets on natural science learning materials in junior high schools. The type of research used is Research and Development with the Plomp development model, which consists of 3 stages: a preliminary study, a prototyping stage, and an assessment phase. The subjects used for product trials were class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Ajung Jember. The results showed that the validity of the collaborative-based worksheet obtained very valid criteria with a percentage value of 93.25%. Based on the practicality test, collaborative-based worksheets are included in the convenient category and are suitable for learning with a percentage of 96.45%. In the effectiveness test, a practical collaborative-based worksheet is proven to improve students' science process skills by acquiring the N-Gain of 0.6, which is included in the moderate criteria. Based on this study's results, we can state that the science process skills can be developed in students by conditioning science learning that optimizes collaborative activities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Google Sites Web development on heat and displacement materials to improve junior high school students' argumentation skills. The data analysis technique used in this research has 3 tests. namely validity test, practicality test, and effectiveness test. The results of the validity test for Google Sites Web development with a validity percentage of 84% and were included the very valid category. The results of the practicality test reached an average of 93% overall and were included in the very high category. The results of the effectiveness test obtained an average N-gain score of 0.70 in the high category. Overall, the results of the research in the form of Web Google Sites conclude that they are feasible and valid to use as teaching materials in science learning to improve students' argumentation skills and suggestions can be given for future researchers to be used as guidelines in developing better and more perfect Google Web sites.AbstrakPenelitian yang telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui nilai validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan pada produk yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan Web Google Sites pada materi kalor dan perpindahannya untuk meningkatan keterampilan berargumentasi siswa SMP. Teknik analisis data dalam pengembangan produk Web Google Sites dilakukan dalam 3 uji yaitu uji kevalidan, uji kepraktisan, dan uji efektivitas. Hasil uji validitas pengembangan Web Google Sites dengan presentase validitas 84% masuk kedalam kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji kepraktisan mencapai rata-rata 93% secara keseluruhan dan masuk kedalam kategori sangat tinggi Hasil uji efektivitas memperoleh nilai skor rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,70 dengan kategori tinggi. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian yang berupa Web Google Sites dapat disimpulkan layak dan valid digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berargumentasi siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the significant effect of using learning media based on PhET Simulation on substance stress material on junior high school students' critical thinking skills using a quasi-experimental research methodology and a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIIF and VIIIH of SMPN 3 Jember. The results of the pretest-posttest were used to collect research data, and the parametric independent sample t-test was used to analyze the data. Based on the results of the study, the posttest mean value for the control class was 60.78, while the posttest mean value for the experimental class was 71.28. The mean value of the experimental class is higher than the control class. the mean value in the experimental class is better than the control class. The parametric test using the independent sample t-test found that there was a difference in the average score of the two classes' critical thinking skills with a significance of 0.000. Furthermore, it is strengthened by the right-hand t-test by realizing the value of tcount > ttable. These results determine that the mean score of critical thinking skills in the experimental class is higher than the control class. The difference in the results of critical thinking skills is due to the two classes being treated differently, namely the control class using video experiments and the experimental class using learning media based on PhET Simulation. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of learning media based on PhET Simulation on substance stress material has a significant effect on junior high school students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA rendah sehingga masih perlu dikembangkan. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan e-LKPD berbasis scaffolding question prompt yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP dalam pembelajaran IPA. Desain penelitian pengembangan ini menerapkan model ADDIE. Teknik dan instrument pengumpulan data penelitian ini antara lain angket, tes keterampilan berpikir kritis, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi yang kemudian dianalisis. Subjek uji coba dengan uji coba kelompok besar terdiri dari 32 siswa kelas VII SMP. Hasil penelitian validitas e-LKPD berbasis scaffolding question prompt tergolong berkategori sangat valid sebesar 99%, tergolong sangat praktis dengan rata-rata keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 93%, tergolong efektif dengan hasil nilai N-gain sebesar 0.73 dan rata-rata angket respon siswa sebesar 85%. Berdasarkan hasil presentase validitas, kepraktisan dan efektivitas telah mencapai kategori sangat valid, sangat praktis dan efektif sehingga e-LKPD berbasis scaffolding question prompt layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP dalam pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Kemampuan scientific reasoning merupakan salah satu aspek pengetahuan penting yang menjadi tuntutan pada pembelajaran abad 21. Kemampuan penalaran ilmiah ini mampu diterapkan pada pembelajaran IPA sebagai kontribusi dalam keterampilan kognitif siswa dan dapat dijadikan sebagai bekal siswa untuk menyambut tantangan global, namun faktanya kemampuan scientific reasoning siswa masih tergolong rendah. Model pembelajaran yang dapat menjadikan kondisi pembelajaran lebih aktif dan memberikan kesempatan siswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan nalarnya yaitu Learning Cycle 5E. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran perlu disertai bahan ajar yang mendukung supaya pembelajaran berlangsung dengan baik. Penelitian ini menawarkan inovasi pembelajaran melalui penerapan model Learning Cycle 5E disertai LKPD yang terdapat bantuan berupa diagram berpikir multidimensi pada pembelajaran IPA SMP untuk mempermudah siswa memahami konsep pelajaran sehingga kemampuan scientific reasoning siswa dapat meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh dan peningkatan kemampuan scientific reasoning siswa menggunakan model Learning Cycle 5E disertai LKPD berbasis diagram berpikir multidimensi. Penelitian ini berjenis quasi eksperimen dan desain non-equivalent control group design. Tempat penelitian berada di SMP Negeri 3 Jember pada kelas 8 yang jumlah siswa masing-masing pada kelas kontrol dan eksperimen sebanyak 31 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model Learning Cycle 5E disertai LKPD berbasis diagram berpikir multidimensi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan scientific reasoning siswa. Kemampuan scientific reasoning siswa mengalami peningkatan seusai siswa mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model learning cycle 5E disertai LKPD berbasis diagram berpikir multidimensi secara aktif.

Abstract

The philosophy of science serves as a framework for understanding and teaching scientific knowledge, including metabolism, to promote health and prevent chronic diseases such as kidney failure. This study aimed to explore students' perspectives on kidney failure among young adults and the implications of the philosophy of science in metabolism education. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving six science education students in East Java. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that students have positive experiences with metabolism education, enhancing their understanding of metabolic processes and their role in kidney health. The program also encourages lifestyle changes, such as increased healthy food consumption and physical activity. However, challenges such as limited access, academic stress, and inadequate facilities persist. Students demonstrate a high awareness of kidney failure, although some perceive their risk as low. This study highlights the importance of inclusive, community-based education approaches and the use of digital technology to amplify its impact.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar operasi bilangan cacah melalui model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) pada peserta didik kelas 4 SD N Cengklik. Penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dengan subjek 28 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan observasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 55,89 pada pra-siklus menjadi 65,36 pada siklus I, 89,83 pada siklus II, dan 91,96 pada siklus III. Ketuntasan klasikal juga meningkat dari 32,14% menjadi 42,86%, 67,86%, dan 92,86% secara berturut-turut. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa model TGT efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada operasi bilangan cacah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of physics learning in the context of the Independent Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) in one of the state senior high schools in Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. The Independent Curriculum is designed to provide greater freedom to schools and teachers in designing and implementing the learning process, with an emphasis on project-based learning and the development of student competencies as a whole. This requires case study research to see the obstacles in the implementation of KM and P5. This study uses a mixed methods, qualitative with interviews with physics teachers and analysis of learning device documents and quantitative with observation of questionnaires to 28 students. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in physics learning has been implemented, but there are obstacles in teacher readiness, difficulty in student understanding, and limited laboratory equipment and materials. In conclusion, the implementation of physics learning with the Independent Curriculum and P5 in Indonesia shows great potential in improving the quality of education and developing student skills and character. However, teacher readiness in implementation and infrastructure are needed to ensure the success of this implementation evenly across schools.
