ABSTRACTThe background of this research were the studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concepts that still low and studentsâ less responsible for a given task. The purpose of this research was to determine whether the studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concepts by implementing active learning strategy type of Group To Group was better than studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concepts by implementing conventional learning in class XI IPA SMAN 6 Padang lesson year 2013/2014. Sampling was done randomly, which was selected XI IPA3 as the experimental class and XI IPA2 as control class. The research instrument was final test of learning that contains an indicator comprehension concept with reliability test r11 = 0.823. Hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test. From the calculations, the value of z ⤠-1.9918 has a probability p = 0.0233; because the p-value was smaller than α = 0.05; than H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Based on the hypothesis test results concluded that the studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concepts by implementing active learning strategy type of Group To Group was better than studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concepts by implementing conventional learning.

ABSTRACT  The background of this research was the lack of students motivation in teaching learning mathematics and result of students mathematics still low. The aim was to determined whether co-operative Talking Stick type toward students comprehension better than comprehension of mathematical concept by applied students conventional learning. This was an experimental research and applied random research toward subject. The population was eight grade of SMPN 15 Padang 2013 / 2014 .VIII.3 as experiment and VIII.2 as control. Instrument in this research was essay. Based on the data analysis, mean of experimental was 86,50  and control was 73,53, percentage of every indicator experimental higher than control . From the hypotheses testing got t-calculated 2,951 and t-table 1,697 , so t-calculated higher than  t-table. Can concluded that students comprehension of mathematics concept using co-operative Talking Stick type better than conventional learning at the eight grade students of SMPN 15 Padang.

ABSTRACTThe research were motivated by the fear of asking students and issue an opinion on the matter is not yet comprehension and studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concept that still low. This study aims to assess the development of the math concept comprehension and determine whether the student math concept comprehension by implementing strategies Domino Game accompanied quiz better math concept comprehension that students using conventional teaching class XI student of SMKN 4 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random to subject. Hypothesis test used Mann-Whitney with minitab software, obtained that P-value smaller than α, 0,0005 < 0,05 so hypothesis is accepting. The researcher concluded that of student math concept comprehension by implementing strategy Domino Game with Quiz better than of student math concept comprehension by implementing conventional learning in class XI SMKN 4 Padang.

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted based on the fact indicating that the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept was`stiil low, and their learning activities were not optimal yet. This research was aimed at revealing whether the use of True 0r False active learning strategy could give better effect on the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept than that of the conventional learning, and to see its impact on the studentsâ learning activities. This was an exsperimental research which used random design toward the subject. In this research class XI IPA4 was`chosen as the experimental class, and class XI IPA1 as the control class. The instruments used in collecting the data were post-test and observation sheet. The test was in the form of essay whose r11 was 0,841. The data gotten was analyzed by using t-test assisted with MINITAB. Based on the result of hypothesis test, it was found that P-value (0,000) was smaller than α (0,05) indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. Thus, it was concluded that the use of True or False active learning strategy could improve the studentâ understanding on mathematics concept better than that of the conventional learning in class XI IPA of SMAN 2 Bayang.

ABSTRAK This research was grounded by the studentsâ low understanding in mathematics concept and their less chance to share information and ideas with peers. This research was aimed at reveal whether the use of Two Stay Two Stray technique could improve the studentsâ understanding in mathematics concept better than that of the conventional one. This was an experimental research. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of SMPN 15 Padang. As class VIII.1 was an excellent class, it was excluded. The sample was taken by using random sampling technique. Choosen as class of sampel is VIII.3 as experiment class and of VIII.5 as control class. The data of the research was gotten from post-test. It was an essay test that consisted of 5 items whose reliability was 0,92. The result of hypothesis test showed that the value of thitung (2,8693) was bigger than ttabel (1,67) in which α=0,05. This result indicated that the use of Two Stay Two Stray technique could improve the studentsâ understanding in mathematics concept better than that of the conventional one in class VIII of SMPN 15 Padang.

ABSTRACTThe background of this research by the student in learning individually andstudenâs comprehension mathematical concept still low at the seventh grade of SMPN 27 Padang.. This research is an experiment research, with random research designon the subject. Researchâs population is all of student at the seventh grade of SMPN 27 Padang who registerin academic year 2013/2014. Researchâs sample is class VII.1 as an experiment class, and VII.2 as a control class, researchâs instrument isan essay test, with reliabilitas test r11 is 0,87. hypothesis result is P-value = 0,003, it means that is smaller than  so hypothesis on this research is accepted. The conclusion that studentâs comprehension mathematical that uses Two Stay Two Stray Technique is better than convensional learning by the student at the seventh grade of SMPN 27 Padang.

 ABSTRACT Background of this research is studentâs grade VII SMPN 27 Padang comprehension of mathematical concepts still low. In that case endence when studentâs are less active in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to know how studentâs activity in the learning process and to know what is studentâs comprehension of mathematical concept at grade VII SMPN 27 Padang by using the power of two strategy better than convensional model. The population is studentâs at grade VII SMPN 27 Padang. To take sample in this research is randomly so that, the researchergotten grade VII.4 as experiment class and VII.3 as control class the instrumentation is used in this research is comprehension test of mathematical concept and sheet activity. Type of test is used type essay with realibilitas test is . Tecnique of analysis data is t-test one side by using software minitab therefore, the final analysis with a = 0,05 be obtained P-value = 0,041, because P-value minus for a, so hipothesis is accepted in this research. So that it can be concluded that studentâs comprehension of mathematical concept is treated by using the power of two strategy better than studentâs comprehension of mathematical concepts is treated by using convensional model at grade VII SMPN 27 Padang.

ABSTRACT Base on background knowledge of this research was studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept that still low and the material that students have was lost from their mind. This research is to determine whether studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept by using a strategy Hollywood square Review better than studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept by using conventional strategy at X Grade of MAS PLUS Padang Ganting. Type of this research was experiment. Population in this research was students at X grade of MAS PLUS Padang Ganting, and sample of this research was students class X1 as experimental class and X2 as control class. Post-test was as instrumentation in this research, with realibility 0,88.From the data analysis get mean score from studentsâ achievement in experimental class was 71.96 that high rather than in control class that was 48.57. data analysis was done by using hypothesis testing. Tcalculated= 3,6 and ttable= 1,68. so, we can conclude that studentsâ understanding of  mathematical concept that used Hollywood Square Review better than conventional strategy at X Grade of MAS PLUS Padang Ganting.Â

ABSTRACT The background of this research is about students understanding of mathematical concepts is still low. The aims of this research is to know the students understanding of mathematical concepts by strategis to find the information is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by strategis the information conventional learning in VIII grade SMPN 4 Sutera. The kind of this research is experimental research by random design towards the subject. The population in this research was students in VIII grade SMPN 4 Sutera in school year 2013/2014. The sample Class were chosen is VIII.4 class as experimental class and VIII.2 class as control class . The instrument which was used is final test which is essay  from with reliability is  0.7403. Based on calculations of data analysis using t-test of the side obtained = 2.29 and = 1.645 . So  >  thus it can be concluded that students understanding of mathematical concepts apply strategies the information is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning in VIII SMPN 4 Sutera.

ABSTRACTThis research were based on the lack of studentsâ activity and studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept that still low. This research aims to know the studentsâ activities and studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept by implementing the One to One strategy in class VIII of SMPN 7 Lubuk Basung. This was an experimental research. The population was studentsâ class VIII of SMPN 7 Lubuk Basung. The experimental class was VIII.I and the control class was VIII.2. The Instrument of the research were observation form for the studentsâ activities and the final tes for the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept. During the process of teaching by implementing One to One strategy, the studentsâ activities increase. The technique of data analysis was t-test one way and the result is  = 5,95 and = 1,69. Because > it can be concluded that studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept by implementing  One to One strategy was better than studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept by implementing conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 7 Lubuk Basung.
