Abstract

ABSTRACT The purposes of this research were to describe the factual structure and the struggle of female characters in “Tanah Tabu” novel by Anindita S. Thayf in terms of existentialist feminism. The researcher was interested to analyze “Tanah Tabu” novel, because this novel presented female characters that can fight to get freedom. The type of this research was descriptive qualitative method, which obtains the information and the description of the struggle of the female characters in “Tanah Tabu” novel based on existentialist feminism. This research used structural approach. The source of data in the research was from “Tanah Tabu” novel by Anindita S. Thayf. Data collection techniques in this research such as read, corect, and write. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques were provided in three phases such as data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of this research shows the factual structure of the “Tanah Tabu” novel by Anindita S. Thayf, consisting of characters characterization, plot, and setting. This novel used flashback plot. The characters in this novel have a role as the main character and additional characters. The setting was in Papua, which shows the life of Papua society. The story time shows the year 2012, 1946, 1956, 1958, and 1960. The struggle of female characters in the “Tanah Tabu” novel by Anindita S. Thayf based on existentialist feminism, consists of awareness as liyan, freedom, and transcendence. Awareness as a liyan occurs in Mabel, Mace, and Mama Helda. These three female characters realized that they have been oppressed. Through the awareness, they choose to fight to get out of the oppression. The freedom is owned by Mabel, Mace, and Mama Helda. They are free to make choices which they hold as true and brave to responsible for their decision. Transcendence is performed by Mabel, Mace, and Mama Helda. They became working women, intellectual women, women of socialist transformation, and women follow dominant groups. Key words: female character, novel, existentialist feminism ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fakta cerita dan perjuangan tokoh perempuan dalam novel Tanah Tabu karya Anindita S. Thayf ditinjau dari feminisme eksistensialis. Penulis tertarik mengkaji novel Tanah Tabu, karena novel ini menghadirkan tokoh perempuan yang mampu berjuang mendapatkan kebebasan. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, yaitu untuk memperoleh informasi dan gambaran perjuangan tokoh perempuan dalam novel Tanah Tabu berdasarkan feminisme eksistensialis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan struktural. Sumber data penelitian adalah novel Tanah Tabu karya Anindita S. Thayf. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca, simak, dan catat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa fakta cerita novel Tanah Tabu karya Anindita S. Thayf, terdiri atas alur, tokoh penokohan, dan latar. Tokoh dalam novel ini mempunyai peranan sebagai tokoh utama dan tokoh tambahan. Latar berada di Papua dengan latar suasana kehidupan masyarakat Papua. Waktu cerita menunjukan tahun 2012, 1946, 1956, 1958, dan 1960. Novel ini menggunakan alur mundur. Perjuangan tokoh perempuan dalam novel TanahTabu karya Anindita S. Thayf berdasarkan feminisme eksistensialis, terdiri atas kesadaran sebagai liyan, kebebasan, dan transendensi. Kesadaran sebagai liyan terjadi pada Mabel, Mace, dan Mama Helda. Ketiga tokoh ini menyadari telah tertindas. Melalui kesadaran ini pula, mereka memilih berjuang untuk keluar dari ketertindasan. Kebebasan dimiliki oleh Mabel, Mace, dan Mama Helda. Mereka bebas menentukan pilihan yang mereka anggap benar dan berani bertanggung jawab atas pilihan tersebut. Transendensi dilakukan oleh Mabel, Mace, dan Mama Helda. Mereka menjadi perempuan pekerja, perempuan intelektual, perempuan transformasi sosialis, dan perempuan mengikuti kelompok dominan. Kata kunci: tokoh perempuan, novel, feminisme eksistensialis

Abstract

The occurrence of language variations is not only caused by diverse speakers, but because the social interaction activities carried out are also very diverse. In this case there is a connection with the emergence of languages used by overseas students, and usually these languages appear in their activities on campus. The use of the first language and dialect that affect their language conditions, resulting in incomplete use of the Indonesian language. However, regional languages are also not the only concrete evidence that there are variations in language that occur among overseas students. But the emergence of several variations of the language used by overseas students. This study aims to describe the language variations and factors that cause variations in the language of foreign students in Indonesian Literature class of 2014 at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Mulawarman University. This research includes field research using qualitative descriptive methods. The research method used is the method of referring to the technique of observation, record, and note, while the method of proficiency with a fishing line and proficient techniques. The method used to analyze the data in this study is the padan method using the basic technique of PUP (sorting determinants). The results showed that the language used by students of Indonesian Literature nomads in 2014 at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Mulawarman University varied greatly. Language variations in terms of speakers, variations in language in terms of usage, variations in language in terms of formality, and variations in language in terms of means. The factors that cause variations in the language of foreign students in the 2014 Indonesian Literature Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Mulawarman University are social factors and situational factors. Social (environmental) and situational factors (linguistic and kinship situations).

Abstract

AbstrakPemahaman masyarakat dalam memaknai umpasa dalam upacara adat seperti, Saur Matua diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan rasa cinta terhadap budaya lokal dan dapat melestarikannya tanpa mengubah aturan yang telah ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah umpasa dalam adat Saur Matua yang bersumber dari tiga informan asli suku Batak Toba. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, teknik rekam, teknik sadap dan teknik lanjut catat. Setelah itu, data dianalisis dengan tahapan mereduksi data, penyajian data, dan membuat simpulan. Hasil penelitian adalah bentuk umpasa; makna umpasa yang terdapat dalam adat Saur Matua adalah makna leksikal, makna referensial, makna konotasi dan makna simbolik; dan fungsi umpasa meliputi fungsi kebudayaan, fungsi kemasyarakatan, fungsi pendidikan, fungsi perorangan dan fungsi religi.AbstractThe understanding of community in interpreting umpasa in traditional ceremonies such as, Saur Matua is expected to foster a love of local culture and can preserve it without changing existing rules. This research uses a type of field research with a qualitative descriptive research approach. The data in this study are umpasa in the Saur Matua tradition sourced from three native informants of the Batak Toba tribe. Data obtained using interview techniques, recording techniques, tapping techniques and note-taking techniques. After that, the data are analyzed with the stages of reducing the data, presenting, and making a conclusion. The results of the research are forms of umpasa; the meaning of umpasa contained in the Saur Matua custom is a lexical meaning, referential meaning, connotation meaning, and symbolic meaning; and umpasa functions include cultural functions, social functions, educational functions, individual functions and religious functions.

Abstract

Gaya bahasa digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan maksud dan tujuan yang ingin disampaikan oleh pengarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa yang terdapat pada lirik lagu dalam album Ruang Tunggu karya Mohammad Istiqamah Djamad. Lirik lagu merupakan karya tulis yang berisi kata-kata indah dalam setiap baitnya, lirik lagu yang menjadi daya tarik berupa permainan kata makna dan gaya bahasa. Permainan kata seperti gaya bahasa dan makna dengan tujuan untuk memperkuat nada yang disesuaikan dengan lirik lagu sehingga pendengar semakin terbawa dalam suasana irama lagu.

Abstract

Ketidakadilan yang dialami perempuan memunculkan sebuah gerakan feminisme. Perempuan berjuang mendapatkan kebebasan untuk setara dengan laki-laki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk perjuangan tokoh utama terbebas dari diskriminasi sistem patriarki dalam novel Bidadari Bermata Bening karya Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian feminisme liberal abad 19 yang diusung oleh John Stuart Mill dan Harriet Taylor. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan dan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah frasa, klausa dan kalimat. Sumber data yaitu novel Bidadari Bermata Bening. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bentuk perjuangan tokoh utama untuk bebas dari diskriminasi karena adanya sistem patriarki. Bentuk perjuangan tokoh utama berdasarkan feminisme liberal abad ke-19 John Stuart Mill dan Harriet Taylor terdiri dari, bentuk perjuangan tokoh utama dalam pendidikan, bentuk perjuangan tokoh utama melawan kawin paksa, bentuk perjuangan tokoh utama sebagai alat politik dan bentuk perjuangan tokoh utama dalam bekerja.

Abstract

Mindset’s writer influences creation of literary works. This mindset is come from the society around writer. In literary works, mindset’s writer will become world view. This research analyzing world view of Tere Liye in Matahari novel. The theory used is Lucien Goldmann's Genetic Structuralism. World view is obtained by describing several variables, there is homology, social facts, social class and trans-individual subjects. This research describe the structure of literary works and world view. This research included in the type of library research with descriptive qualitative approach. The research data is in the form of sentences or paragraphs in the Matahari novel by Tere Liye. The data source is the Matahari novel by Tere Liye. The data collection technique focuses on reading and listening techniques. Data analysis techniques using dialectical techniques. The data presentation technique is an informal technique. The results of this research indicate that the structure of literary works consists of plot, character and setting. The plot used is a chronological plot. There are eight characters who have a influence on the storyline. The setting used is the city of Jakarta during the Orde Baru era. Homology shows that the events related to Matahari novel by Tere Liye originated from the events of the Orde Baru era. Human facts are in the form of social issues, there is discrimination, militarism, restriction of freedom and revolt movements. The social class is divided into two groups, there is the bourgeoisie represented by the Dewan Kota Zaramaraz and the proletariat represented by Raib and friends. This group is led by the character named Ali who has revolutionary ideas. Ali represents the writer in his imaginary universe. World view that the writer raises is a revolutionary world view.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini mengangkat isu tentang kehidupan perempuan dalam sebuah novel. Novel yang ditulis oleh Suryatini N. Ganie yang berjudul Fatamorgana di Segitiga Emas menceritakan bagaimana perjuangan tokoh utama untuk memenuhi eksisitensi hidupnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) untuk mendeskripsikan fakta cerita dan (2) untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk transendensi pada tokoh Neneng dalam novel Fatamorgana di Segitiga Emas dengan menggunakan kajian feminisme eksistensialis. kemudian pendekatan penelitian yang dipilih adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dan sumber data dalam penelitian ini data yang berupa kutipan kata,frasa, dan kalimat. lalu untuk sumber datanya  novel Fatamorgana di Segitiga Emas karya Suryatini N. Ganie dengan tebal 104 halaman diterbitkan oleh PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama di Yogyakarta pada tahun 2011. Untuk teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu dengan penelitian kepustakaan dengan cara  membaca, mengidentifikasi dan mencatat. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan metode pembacaan dekontruksi.Dalam menganalisis novel tersebut menggunakan pendekatan fakta cerita dan feminisme eksistensialis. Alur dalam penelitian ini merupakan alur campuran di awal sampai akhir cerita. Tokoh dan penokohan yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini ada Neneng sebagai tokoh utama. kemudian latar tempat yang ada menceritakan kehidupan di Desa Ampegan dan kota Jakarta. Adapun transendensi tokoh utama perempuan yang terdiri menjadi empat bagian yaitu, perempuan dapat bekerja, perempuan dapat menjadi seorang intelektual, perempuan dapat mencapai transformasi sosial masyarakat, dan perempuan dapat menolak ke-liyanan.Kata Kunci: Fatamorgana di Segitiga Emas, feminisme eksistensialis, novel, transendensi, tokoh utama.         ABSTRACTThis research raises the issue of women's lives in a novel. The novel written by Suryatini N. Ganie, entitled Fatamorgana in the Golden Triangle, tells how the main character struggles to fulfill his life's existence. The objectives of this study were (1) to describe the facts of the story and (2) to describe the forms of transcendence of the Neneng character in the novel Fatamorgana in the golden Triangle by Suryatini N. Ganie of existentialist feminism. then the research approach chosen is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data and data sources in this research are data in the form of quotations of words, phrases and sentences. Then for the data source, the novel Fatamorgana in the golden Triangle by Suryatini N. Ganie with a thickness of 104 pages was published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama in Yogyakarta in 2011. For data collection techniques, namely literature research by reading, identifying and taking notes. The data analysis technique used is the deconstruction reading method. In analyzing the novel, it uses the approach of story facts and existentialist feminism. The plot in this research is a mixed plot at the beginning to the end of the story. The characters and characterizations contained in this research are Neneng as the main character. then the setting tells the story of life in the village of Ampegan and the city of Jakarta. The transcendence of the main female character which consists of four parts, namely, women can work, women can become intellectuals, women can achieve social transformation of society, and women can reject faith.Keywords: Fatamorgana in the Golden Triangle, existentialist feminism, novel, transcendence, main character.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKondisi dunia belakangan ini sangat mengkhawatirkan karena terjadinya wabah virus yang disebut sebagai Corona Virus 19 yang ditetapkan World Health Organization (WHO) sebagai pandemi dunia. Presiden Indonesia pun dalam Kepres Nomor 12 Tahun 2020 menetapkan bencana non-alam covid-19 sebagai bencana nasional dan membentuk tim garda terdepan yang disebut Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19 serta menunjuk dr. A. Yurianto sebagai juru bicara covid-19 untuk melaporkan kepada masyarakat tentang perkembangan covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian pragmatik yang berfokus pada tindak tutur ilokusi untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk tindak tutur ilokusi dan fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi dalam pidato juru bicara covid-19 dr. A. Yurianto. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tuturan pidato juru bicara covid-19 dr. A. Yurianto.  Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik simak bebas libat cakap dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode padan ekstralingual untuk menganalisis tuturan berdasarkan konteks yang bermakna informasi, saran, himbauan dan perintah. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu ditemukan 3 bentuk tindak tutur ilokusi yaitu asertif, direktif dan ekspresif serta 3 fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi yaitu kompetitif, konvivial dan kolaboratif. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur ilokusi yang terdapat dalam pidato dr. A. Yurianto sangat mengedukasi namun tidak terlalu memengaruhi kehidupan masyarakat karena fakta data kasus positif covid-19 semakin bertambah disebabkan oleh atensi/perhatian Pemerintah tidak merata disebabkan wilayah Indonesia yang luas dan masyarakat yang tidak patuh terhadap protokol kesehatan.Kata Kunci: covid-19, pidato dr. Yurianto, tindak tutur ilokusi ABSTRACTRecent world conditions are very worrying due to the occurrence of a virus known as Corona 19 Virus which has been established by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a world pandemic. The President of Indonesia, in Presidential Decree No. 12/2020, declared the non-natural disaster covid-19 a national disaster and formed a front line team called the Task Force for the Acceleration of Covid-19 Handling and appointed dr. A. Yurianto as a spokesman for Covid-19 to report to the public about the development of Covid-19. This study uses a pragmatic study that focuses on illocutionary speech acts to describe the form of illocutionary speech acts and the function of illocutionary speech acts in the speech of the spokesperson for Covid-19, dr. A. Yurianto. The method uses is descriptive qualitative with the type of library research. The data used in this study were the speech of the Covid-19 spokesman, dr. A. Yurianto. The data collection technique used was the free listening technique and the technique of taking notes. The data analysis technique uses the extralingual equivalent method to analyze context-based speech which means information, suggestions, appeals and instructions. The results of the research are found 3 forms of illocutionary speech acts, namely assertive, directive and expressive and 3 functions of illocutionary speech acts, namely competitive, convivial and collaborative. The conclusion in this study is the form and function of illocutionary speech acts contained in dr. A. Yurianto is very educational but does not really affect people's lives due to the fact that the data on positive cases of Covid-19 is increasing due to the uneven attention of the Government due to Indonesia's vast territory and people who do not comply with health protocols.Keywords: covid-19, speech of dr. Abstract

This research raises the topic of liberal feminism Zarah Amala, the main character in the Supernova Episode: Partikel by Dee Lestari. The purpose of this research is to describe the liberal feminist attitude of the main character and at the same time describe the impact of the life choice of the main character on the main additional character. This research is a type of library research. The discussion of liberal feminism studies uses the theory developed by Wolf (1997), namely the Feminism of Power and the theory of figures and characterizations. Zarah practices liberal feminism in the form of Power Feminism, among others: (1) observing power against women, (2) firmness in choice, (3) desire that women are not destitute, (4) tolerant, (5) women's competition, and (6) ) have strong confidence. The figures affected by the liberal feminism idea adopted by Zarah were a group of main additional figures: (1) Firas: Zarah gives loyalty so that her father does not feel alone; (2) Aisyah: Zarah made Aisyah feel depressed because of the quarrel they were maintaining; (3) Abah Hamid: Zarah is no longer considered a grandchild because of her very different views; (4) Hara: Zarah has a stake in the character of her mature and stoic sister; (5) Ibu Inga: Zarah becomes a foster mother of an orangutan. (6) Paul: Zarah makes Paul fall in love; (7) Simon: Zarah makes Simon busier than usual; (8) Koso: Zarah becomes a loyal friend; and (9) Storm: Zarah gives her virginity to Storm.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap citra perempuan dalam kumpulan puisi Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari karya Cyntha Hariadi, yang meliputi citra fisik, citra psikis, dan citra sosial perempuan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif desktiptif. Data berupa kutipan-kutipan yang diduga mengandung citra perempuan. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik baca dan catat. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis pembacaan retroaktif (hermeneutik) untuk memperoleh gambaran secara mendalam mengenai persoalan yang diangkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa citra fisik perempuan ditemukan pada 6 puisi. Citra fisik perempuan meliputi penggambaran organ biologis perempuan saat mengalami proses kehamilan, persalinan, serta menyusui anaknya. Citra psikis perempuan ditemukan pada 17 puisi. Citra psikis perempuan meliputi penggambaran perempuan yang mengalami keadaan psikis seperti merasa sedih, cemas, takut, gembira dan keadaan emosional lainnya. Citra sosial perempuan ditemukan pada 6 puisi. Citra sosial perempuan meliputi penggambaran perempuan sebagai makhluk sosial serta perannya dalam keluarga dan masyarakat.This study aimed to uncover the image of women in a collection of poems Ibu Mendulang Anak Berlari by Cyntha Hariadi, which includes physical images, psychological images, and social images of women. Descriptive qualitative research was used in this study. Data were quotations that allegedly contained images of women. Data collected by reading and note taking techniques. Data were analyzed by using a retroactive (hermeneutic) analysis technique to obtain an in-depth overview of the issues raised. The results showed that the physical image of women was found in 6 poems. Women’s physical image included the depiction of a biological female organ during the process of pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding her child. Women’s psychic images were found in 17 poems. Psychic image of women included sportrayals of women who experience psychological states such as feeling sad, anxious, afraid, happy and othe remotional states. Women’s social image was found in 6 poems. Women’s social image included the depiction of women as social creatures and their role in the family and society.
