Abstract

AbstrackThe purpose of this study were to determine whether there was a significant difference of motivation and learning outcomes  between student who taught using Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) and conventional mode, and determine effect size of TAI model the form of research that will be used was experimental research. Saturated sampling used to select the sample. The essay test and questionnaire about students’ motivation were used as instruments. The posttest results of both class were analyzed using the U-Mann Whitney test with a= 5%. The result showed that the value of  Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0.000. It indicated that there was a significant difference between learning outcomes in control and experiment class. The questionnaire about students’ motivation results of both class were analyzed using the U-Mann Whitney test with a= 5%. It also revealed the value of Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) at 0.000. It indicated that there was the ificant sigdifference students’ motivation in control and experiment class. according to calculation using cohens formula, the effect size of TAI learning was 0,7622 which categorized as excellent  Kata kunci: TAI, Unsur, Senyawa dan Campuran, Motivasi, Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan motivasi dan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan pendekatan lingkungan dan metode ceramah pada kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya materi asam basa. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Non-equivalent control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling yaitu berdasarkan nilai rata-rata ulangan akhir semester yang hampir sama. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah angket motivasi dan tes hasil belajar berbentuk soal essay. Hasil uji t terhadap motivasi belajar siswa diperoleh nilai 0,524. Hal ini berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan motivasi antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen dengan effect size sebesar 1,15 dan persentase 37,49%. Hasil uji statistik terhadap post-test hasil belajar diperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0,026 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa kelas kontrol dengan eksperimen dengan effect size sebesar 0,63 dan persentasenya 23,57%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan lingkungan dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.   Kata kunci: Pendekatan lingkungan, Motivasi, Hasil belajar Abstract. This study aims to determine differences in motivation and learning outcomes among students taught using environmental approaches and methods lectures on class XI IPA SMAN 1 Sungai Raya acid-base material. Forms of research is a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling based on the average value of repetition end of the semester is almost the same. Data collection tool is questionnaire motivation and achievement test in the form of essay. T test results of the students' motivation obtained value  is 0.524. This means that the difference in motivation between control and experimental classes is not significant to the effect size of 1.15 and a percentage of 37.49%. Results of statistical test to post-test study results obtained Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) 0.026, which means there is a difference between students' learning outcomes with the control class experiment with the effect size of 0.63 and a percentage of 23.57%. It can be concluded that learning with environmental approach can improve motivation and student learning outcomes.  Keywords : Environmental approach , Motivation , Learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pemahaman konsep siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional dengann  siswa yang diajar dengan model guided discovery learning serta mengetahui besarnya pengaruh model guided discovery learning pada materi larutan penyangga terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik pengukuran menggunakan instrumen tes hasil belajar. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang diajar dengan model konvensional dan model guided discovery learning. Model guided discovery learning juga memberikan pengaruh sebesar 41,6% terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa. Kata kunci: guided discovery learning, pemahaman konsep Abstract: This research aims to determine the differences in student’s understanding of concepts that taught by conventional learning model and students who are taught by guided discovery learning models and determine the influence of guided discovery learning models on the material buffer solution to understanding the concept of class XI IPA SMA Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa. This research method that used is a quasi-experimental and the research design that used is a non equivalent group design. Data collection techniques used is a measurement technique using about pretest and posttest. Results of the analysis of the data shows that there are differences between students' understanding of concepts taught by the conventional model and the model of guided discovery learning.The guided discovery learning models is also an impact of 41,6% of the students' understanding of the concept.   Keywords: guided discovery learning, understanding of concept

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan perbedaan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan multimedia dengan yang diajarkan tanpa menggunakan multimedia, menentukan besarnya pengaruh penggunaan multimedia terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak pada materi sifat koligatif larutan, dan mendeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan multimedia pada materi sifat koligatif larutan. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik cluster random sampling, kelas XII MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XII MIA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes keterampilan proses sains, angket respon siswa dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis U mann-Whitney dengan a sebesar 5% menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara keterampilan proses sains siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan multimedia dengan yang diajarkan tanpa menggunakan multimedia. Penggunaan multimedia memberikan pengaruh sebesar 28,32% (ES = 0,79) terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa, hal ini didukung oleh respon siswa yang positif terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan multimedia sebesar 78,74%.Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Keterampilan Proses Sains, Multimedia  Abstract The aims of this research were to determine: 1) differences in science process skills of students SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak that was taught with and without using multimedia, 2) the effect of the use of multimedia toward science process skills of students SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak, 3) describe the students' response to the use of multimedia. The form of research was a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. XII MIA 3 as the experimental class and XII MIA 4 as the control class were selected by cluster random sampling technique. Science process skills test, questionnaire and interviews students were used to collect data. According to U Mann-Whitney test with significant level a = 5% there were a difference between science process skills of students that was taught with and without using multimedia. The result of the calculation of effect size was 0,79 which meant multimedia had 28.32% influence toward science process skills of students, it was supported by the positive response of the students toward learning using multimedia amounted to 78.74%. Abstract

AbstractThe main goals of this study were 1) to determine whether there was a significant difference between achievements of students taught using NHT and conventional model, 2) to determine effect size of NHT model on studenst’s achievement on additive and addictive substance material class VIII MTs Khulafaur Rasyidin. Quasi experimental was used as a form of research with design “nonequivalent control group”. The sample was students of VIII D as experiment class and VIII C as control class. The essay test, interview and closed observation sheet was used as instrument of this research to collecting data. According to U-mann Whitney test using SPSS 16, the value of asymp.sig (2-tailed) was 0,02 (0,02<0,05).Therefore, there was a significant difference of student achievement was taught by using cooperative model NHT’s type (numbered head together) with student achievement was taught by using conventional learning to the material additive and adictive substance and getting score asymp.sig (2-tailed) was 0,002 (0,002<0,05) on score test of students’ activity in first meeting and 0,003 (0,003<0,05) on score test of students’ activity in second meeting. Therefore, there was a different of students’ activity in those classes. Effect size was 0,72 which categorical as moderate criteria. Keywords: cooperative model numbered head together, the result of study, activity, additive and adictive substance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak, 2) tingkat pemahaman algoritmik siswa kelas XI pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 63 siswa dari XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2. Pemahaman konseptual dan algoritmik siswa pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan diukur dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda beralasan dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa :1) siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak memiliki tingkat pemahaman konseptual pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dalam kategori rendah dan sangat rendah, 2) siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak memiliki tingkat pemahaman algoritmik pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dalam kategori rendah. Kata Kunci: pemahaman konseptual, pemahaman algoritmik Abstract: The purposes of this research are to determine: 1) level of concep understanding in solubility and solubility product of 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak, 2) level of the algorithmic understanding in solubility and solubility product in 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. In regarding to achieve the purposes, this research used descriptive method. The sample of this research are 63 students from XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2. Conceptual and algorithmic understanding of students in solubility and solubility product was measured using multiple-choice test with reason and guideline interview. Based on data analysis, it showed that: 1) 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak has low and very low category of conceptual understanding in solubility and solubility product, 2) 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak has low level of algorithmic undestanding in solubilty and solubilty product. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the difference of student learning interest and students learning outcomes with the influence of joyful learning strategies with ROCQ (Ranking One Chemistry Quiz) game on the results of student learning outcomes. This study employed a Quasi-Experimental Design with "Nonequivalent Control Group Design". The sample was class X MIA 5 as control class and class X MIA 3 as experimental class. Based on the result of data analysis in this research, it can be concluded that there were many differences in students learning interest and student learning outcomes which was significant between experimental class with control class after using joyful learning strategies with ROCQ game. This can be finded which the result of U-Mann Whitney test   questionnaire interest in learning (α ≤ 0,05) was obtained sig (2-tailed) of 0,000 and posttest (α ≤ 0,05) was obtained sig (2-tailed) of 0,000. The effect of learning used joyful learning strategies with ROCQ game was 49,45% to increase in class X students learning outcomes in element periodic system material in SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. So, it means by using joyful learning strategies can give the positive influence to the students interest and learning outcomes.Keyword : Joyful Learning Strategies with ROCQ Game, Learning Interest, Learning Outcome

Abstract

Hydrocarbon material is one of the materials in chemistry which is a problem for chemisty education students. In order to develop learning media that makes it easier for students to understand hydrocarbon, research to the development of e-modules is carried out. The goal of this research is to create an e-module of hydrocarbon material that is useful and receives positive feedback. ADDIE model consisted of analysis, design, and development was used as research and development model in this study. In total 12 students from the Chemistry Education Study Program FKIP Untan, and 32 students from the main test served as respondents. Measurement and indirect communication techniques are employed in the investigation. Feasibility evaluation sheets and response questionnaires are the instruments utilized for data collection. The results show that the e-module is highly viable, with a percentage of material feasibility 88%, linguistic feasibility 91%, technical feasibility 92%, and 95% graphic viability. In the initial experiment, the proportion of student questionnaire responses was calculated at 83%, and in the main test, it was calculated at 84%, which was deemed to be very good. E-module of hydrocarbon material using Lectora Inspire was pronouneed to be extremely feasible and received a very good reaction based on the research findings, that it can be used as a learning resource in learning hydrocarbon material to improve students’ understanding.

Abstract

Abstract: The nutritional content contained in the porang plant, as is the case with other root crops, also contains carbohydrates, contains fat, protein, minerals, vitamins and fiber. This study aims to obtain data on the average sodium mineral content in Porang plants. The analytical method uses an atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS) in flame emission mode. Sample solutions containing sodium were stored in polyethylene bottles. Sodium has a maximum light emission at a wavelength of 589 nm, where the working procedure is that the sample is nebulized into a gas flame to allow controlled excitation to occur. The sodium resonance spectral line at 589 nm is isolated with an interference filter or with a light dispersing device such as a prism or grating. The intensity of the emitted light is measured with a photomultiplier, or photodiode. The intensity of light at 589 nm will be roughly proportional to the concentration of sodium. From the results of the analysis using the AAS method, it was found that the sodium content in the porang tuber sample was obtained from Nganjuk district, East Java, with a sodium content of 51.25 mg per 1 kg of porang tuber flour or 5.125 mg sodium per 100 g of porang tuber. This content is lower than the sodium content in corn, but higher than the sodium content in rice.Keywords: Analysis of sodium content, porang plantsAbstrak: Kandungan nutrisi yang terdapat di dalam tanaman porang, seperti halnya dengan tanaman umbi-umbian lain juga mengandung karbohidrat, lemak, protein, mineral, vitamin dan serat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mendapatkan data kandungan mineral natrium rata-rata pada tanaman porang. Metoda analisa menggunakan spektrometer serapan atom (AAS) dalam mode emisi nyala. Larutan sampel yang mengandung natrium disimpan dalam botol polietilen. Natrium memiliki cahaya emisi maksimum pada panjang gelombang 589 nm di mana prosedur kerjanya sampel dinebulisasi menjadi nyala gas agar terjadi eksitasi yang dikontrol dengan garis spektrum resonansi natrium pada 589 nm diisolasi dengan filter interferensi atau dengan perangkat pendispersi cahaya seperti prisma atau kisi-kisi. Intensitas cahaya emisi diukur dengan photomultiplier, atau photodiode. Intensitas cahaya pada 589 nm kira-kira  akan sebanding dengan konsentrasi Natrium. Dari hasil analisis melalui metoda AAS diperoleh kandungan Natrium dalam sampel umbi porang yang diperoleh dari kabupaten Nganjuk Jawa timur dengan  kandungan natrium sebesar 51,25 mg per 1 kg tepung umbi porang atau 5,125 mg natrium per 100g umbi porang. Kandungan ini lebih rendah dibanding kadar Natrium di dalam jagung, tetapi lebih tinggi dari pada kandungan natrium dalam beras.Kata-kata kunci: Analisis kandungan natrium, tanaman porang

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' scientific work skills on material of reaction rate in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang. This research is a descriptive form with subjects 22 students. This study used the instruments in the form of identification sheets, observation sheets, and interview sheets. The processing of research data is done by assigning a score to the results of the work of students which then the score is accumulated to get the percentage of the category of students' abilities in doing scientific work. The results showed that the scientific work skills from class XI IPA 1 of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Ambawang as a whole can be categorized quite well with the skilled category at the stage of conducting experiments (75%), quite skilled category at the stage of formulating problems (64.8%), formulating hypothesis (72.7%), analyzing data (65.9%), and the stages of making conclusions from experimental results (70.5%), as well as the less skilled category at the stage of formulating experimental variables (51.1%), formulating operational definitions of variables (31.8%), and at the stage of communicating data in the form of tables and graphs (38.6%).
