Abstract

The nutritional content in porang plants, as with other plants, also contains carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals, vitamins and fiber. This study aims to obtain data on the average Calcium mineral content in Porang Plants. The analysis method uses an atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS) in flame emission mode. The sample solution containing Calcium is stored in a polyethylene bottle. Calcium has a maximum emission light at a wavelength of 422.7 nm, where the working procedure is that the sample is nebulized into a gas flame so that controlled excitation occurs with the Calcium resonance spectrum line at 422.7 nm isolated with an interference filter or with a light dispersing device with a prism or grating. The intensity of the emission light is measured with a photomultiplier, or photodiode. The light intensity at 422.7 nm will be approximately proportional to the Calcium concentration. The results of the analysis were obtained on 5 kg of wet porang plants, equivalent to 1 kg of dry porang tubers, which contained 112.3 g of calcium from dry flour, equivalent to 16.85 g of calcium from dry tubers, equivalent to 3.37 g of wet tubers.

Abstract

Abstract: The nutritional content contained in the porang plant, as is the case with other root crops, also contains carbohydrates, contains fat, protein, minerals, vitamins and fiber. This study aims to obtain data on the average sodium mineral content in Porang plants. The analytical method uses an atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS) in flame emission mode. Sample solutions containing sodium were stored in polyethylene bottles. Sodium has a maximum light emission at a wavelength of 589 nm, where the working procedure is that the sample is nebulized into a gas flame to allow controlled excitation to occur. The sodium resonance spectral line at 589 nm is isolated with an interference filter or with a light dispersing device such as a prism or grating. The intensity of the emitted light is measured with a photomultiplier, or photodiode. The intensity of light at 589 nm will be roughly proportional to the concentration of sodium. From the results of the analysis using the AAS method, it was found that the sodium content in the porang tuber sample was obtained from Nganjuk district, East Java, with a sodium content of 51.25 mg per 1 kg of porang tuber flour or 5.125 mg sodium per 100 g of porang tuber. This content is lower than the sodium content in corn, but higher than the sodium content in rice. Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ formal reasoning ability and its relationship with chemistry learning outcomes among Grade XI students in the Chemistry 1 and Chemistry 3 specialization classes at a public senior high school in Pontianak City during the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The data collection instrument employed was a formal reasoning ability test developed by Burney. The findings revealed that the majority of students’ formal reasoning abilities were categorized as low, with most students still at the concrete and transitional stages. Among the five aspects of formal reasoning, the probabilistic aspect was the most mastered (71%) compared to the others, whereas the combinatorial aspect was the lowest (21%). Although most students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criterion (MMC) in their academic performance, no significant relationship was found between formal reasoning ability and chemistry learning outcomes. This is attributed to the dominance of students who remain at the concrete stage (54.29%), which limits their ability to comprehend abstract chemistry concepts. These findings indicate a mismatch between academic achievement and formal reasoning ability, and highlight the importance of implementing systematic and contextual learning strategies to enhance students’ formal reasoning in understanding chemistry concepts.

Abstract

This research analyzes the role of marketing strategies in increasing sales of PT Anzon Auto Plaza's car showroom in the midst of fierce competition in the Indonesian automotive industry. This research uses a qualitative descriptive design by collecting primary and secondary data through observations, interviews, and internal company sales data. The results of the analysis show that MPV models, particularly Avanza and Calya, are the best-selling vehicle models, which may be influenced by effective discount promotions. The time trend shows that despite an increase in demand for motor vehicles due to economic growth and urbanization, PT Anzon Auto Plaza experienced a 23% decrease in sales during the period January to March 2023, possibly influenced by seasonal factors such as the month of Ramadan and economic fluctuations. Increased sales at the beginning of the year, possibly influenced by economic factors. Based on the research results, it is recommended that PT Anzon Auto Plaza implement a stronger marketing strategy during February and March, diversify the product portfolio, continue promotional programs that have proven effective, conduct more in-depth market research, and evaluate the success of MPV models to improve the marketing strategy of other models.
