Abstract

AbstractSelf-confidence and learning achievement of XI MIPA students at SMAN 8 Pontianak were still unsatisfactory. This research was conducted to determine whether there was a significant difference between self-confidence of students taught using flipped classroom and conventional learning model, and whether there was a significant difference between learning achievement of students taught using flipped classroom and conventional learning model, and to determine effect size of flipped classroom learning model toward student self-confidence and learning achievement on solubility and solubility product. This research used quasi experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of XI MIPA 1 class as the control group and XI MIPA 4 class as the experimental group selected by purposive sampling technique. Learning achievement test, self-confidence questionnaire, observation sheet and interview guidelines were used to collect data. Based on final questionnaire and posttest data analysis using the Mann-Whitney U-test (? = 5%), Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) were 0.000 and 0.017 respectively. This indicated that there were a significant difference between self-confidence and learning achievement of students taught using flipped classroom and conventional learning model. Flipped classroom learning model gave 29.96% effect toward self-confidence and 27.04% toward student learning achievement. Keywords:  Flipped classroom Learning Model, Self-Confidence, Learning Achievement, Solubility and Solubility Product

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to apply the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning model in order to improve student learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative, the form of research used is Pre Experimental Design with One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Retrieval of data using instruments in the form of a description test that is tailored to the characteristics of the understanding of the concept and has been tested using content validation and reliability. The results showed that using the TGT type of cooperative learning model could improve student learning outcomes. Based on the results of data analysis in the normality test, the results of both pre-test and post-test values were normal with significant values for pre-test 0.0378 < 0.05, meaning that the data were not normally distributed and significant post-test values 0.184 > 0 05 means the data is normally distributed. In the Wilcoxon Test, the Asymp value was obtained. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which states that there is an influence of the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) cooperative learning model on improving the learning outcomes of class X students of TKJ SMK Al-Madani Pontianak on Mol. Abstract

Abstract:The purpose of this correlation study were 1) to measure students spasial-visual intelligence, 2) to measure students skill on drawing geometry of molecules and 3) to determine whether there was a significant relation between them. The subjects in this study were 65 students of Chemistry Education Program 2014/2015 FKIP UNTAN. The data in this study were collected from achievements test and spasial visual intelligence test. The results showed that the ability of students on drawing geometry of molecules were  excellent  (45,70 % ). On the other hand spatial visual intelligence of students were  good (63,24%). According to Spearman-Brown nonparametric statistics test,  there was significant a relationship between spatial visual intelligence of students and skill on drawing geometry of molecules, although their relationship was poor (0,309). Keywords: Visual-Spatial Intelligence, Skill on Drawing, Geometry of Molecules, Correlation

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility level of guided inquiry-based LKPD on elemental and compound materia,l and the readability level of guided inquiry-based LKPD on elemental and compound material. The form of research used was research and development (R & D) that adopted from Sugiyono's development. The subject of this study was guided inquiry-based LKPD which was tested on VIIC class students at SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Raya by taking 32 students. The data collection technique used was questionnaires. The data collection instrument used is the feasibility sheet and readability questionnaire. The data processing technique used was the feasibility assessment of LKPD based on guided inquiry and readability of the LKPD. The results of data processing showed that the developed LKPD had a very valid feasibility level on content eligibility (95.11%), strongly valid in presentation feasibility (89.33%), quite valid in linguistic feasibility (78.67%), and quite valid on the feasibility of graphics (77.22%). The readability test results for students on the products obtained responses of students with an average score of 83.76% with interpretations, which was classified as quite valid. Thus, inquiry-based LKPD guided by material elements and compounds was suitable for using in the learning process.Keywords:  Elements and compound, feasibility, LKPD based on guided inquiry, and student response.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to determine the level of feasibility and response of students to the integrated instrument component media of chemical bonding. The research method used was research and development (R&D) which adopt Borg & Gall development model. The subjects of this research was integrated instrument component media of chemical bonding which tested on the students of SMA Negeri 1 Sajad, SMA Negeri 1 Sambas, and SMA Negeri 1 Tebas. It was conducted initial field trials and main field trials of product users. The instruments used in this research was questionnaire. Based on research result, it can be concluded that the integrated instrument component media of chemical bonding is very feasible. It could be used in classroom to teach chemical bonding. According to expert, the percentage average score of graph, linguistic, and material judgement was 88,33% while student response to used this media was 81,39%.Keywords: Integrated Instrument Component Media, Chemical Bonding, Borg & Gall

Abstract

Abstrak: Hasil belajar siswa pada materi  koloid rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Sekayam pada materi koloid menggunakan metode praktikum dengan pendekatan Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP). Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Sekayam. Lembar observasi, tes hasil belajar dan angket respon siswa digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Sebelum digunakan instrumen tersebut di uji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Validitas isi yang digunakan adalah uji Gregory dan reliabilitas yang digunakan adalah rumus Alpha. Dari hasil perhitungan validitas isi tergolong dalam kategori  tinggi dan reliabilitas tergolong dalam kategori sedang. Tindakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan terhadap hasil belajar siswa dari prasiklus ke siklus I sebesar 14,5% dan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 27,27%.   Kata kunci: Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP),Metode praktikum, Hasil belajar, Koloid   Abstract: Students learning outcomes on colloid materials was low. This research aims to improve students learning outcomes in eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sekayam on colloidal materials using practical methods by approach Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP). The form of this research was classroom action research. The subject of this research was eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Sekayam. Observation sheet, learning achievement test and students questionnaire responses were used as a research instruments. Validity and reliability of instrument had been tested before used it. Content validity that used was Gregory test and Alpha formula for the reliability test. The result of content validity that included to the high category and reliability included to the average category. The action in this research consists of two cycle and there were 4 steps in each cycle. They were planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of this research showed that there was an increasing of student achievement about 14,5% from the pre-cycle to the first cycle and from the first cycle to the second cycle about 27,27%.   Key Word: Chemoentrepreneurship (CEP), Practical method, Students learning achievement, Colloid materials

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan perbedaan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan teknik talking chips dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional dan menentukan besarnya pengaruh teknik talking chips terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi koloid kelas XI IPA SMA Panca Bhakti Pontianak. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasy eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes hasil belajar, angket motivasi dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji U-Mann-Whitney menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan motivasi dan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan teknik talking chips dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik talking chips memberikan pengaruh sebesar 23,57% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

AbstractPurpose of this research was to determine either able or no the differences in motivation and learning outcomes between students taught by STAD assisted learning model domino chem and conventional in class X in SMA PGRI 1 Pontianak on ion bonding and to determine how much influence the use of STAD learning model assisted by Domino chem to students learning outcomes. This research was quasi experiment with "Nonequivalent control group design". Sampling technique used saturated sampling technique. Measurement technique as collecting data technique. Motivation learning questionnaire and learning outcomes test as data collecting tools. Motivation hypothesis test used U-Mann Whitney yields Asymp value. sig. (2-tailed) of 0.113> 0.05 so that Ha is rejected (Ho accepted), there was no difference of learning motivation of control class student and experiment class. Hypothesis test of learning result used U-Mann Whitney test yield Asymp value. sig. (2-tailed) of 0.004 <0.05 so that Ho is rejected (Ha accepted), this mean that there were the differences in the students' learning outcomes of the control class and the experimental class. The learning model of STAD-aided Domino-chem gave a high influence on learning outcome of 1.09.Keywords: Domino-chem, motivasi, ikatan ion, STAD

Abstract

AbstractThe research aimed to know the differences of students’ learning result and the influence of cooperative learning model type TGT using Media TTS on the material of compound nomenclature at class X SMA Koperasi Pontianak. The form of research was quasi experimental with control group design pre-test and post-test design. The tool of data collection was taken from students’ test used essay. The population in this research is all of students at class X SMA Koperasi Pontianak. In collecting the sample the researcher used sampling saturated technique. Experiment class and control class were determinate used random sampling and determinable that class XA as an experiment class and class XB as a control class. The result of pre-test by using t-independent test showed that there is no differences in students' ability of experiment class and control class. But, the result of post-test using t-independent test the researcher found that there is the differences result between experiment class students and control class students after they got treatment that have been given before. The result of effect size was 1,34 which mean that the cooperative learning model type TGT used media TTS gave an influence 40,99% in improving students’ learning result. Kata Kunci : Teams Games Tournament (TGT), Crossword (TTS), Compound                         Nomenclature, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar dan minat antara siswa yang diberi pembelajaran menggunakan model Discovery Learning dengan yang diberi pembelajaran konvensional dan seberapa besar pengaruh model Discovery Learning tersebut terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi koloid. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik sampling jenuh kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan angket Minat. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model Discovery Learning dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional . Dari angket minat siswa diperoleh bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.  Nilai effect size menunjukkan bahwa model Discovery Learning memberikan pengaruh sebesar 33,89% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Abstract: This study aims to determine differences in learning outcomes and interest among students who were learning to use the model given Discovery Learning with conventional learning and how much influence the model of Discovery Learning on student learning outcomes in colloidal material. This research method using a quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Samples were selected based on sampling techniques saturated XI IPA 1 as an experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class. Data collection tool used consisted of test results and questionnaires Interests. Results of the data analysis shows that there are differences in learning outcomes between students who are taught using a model of Discovery Learning with the students taught using conventional teaching methods. From questionnaires interests of students found that there is no difference between the experimental class and control class. The value of effect size  showed that the learning model of Discovery Learning effect of 33,89% of the student learning outcomes. Keywords: Discovery Learning, learning outcomes, Interests.
