Abstract

AbstractThis research is initiatedby the lack of student skills in writing. This can be proved from the average student's scorewhichis below 70; the criteria of minimal submission, the students are less skilled in pouring ideas into their writing. This research is focused on writing material on negotiating text using an example nonexample learning model. The problem formulated in this study, "How is the planning, implementation and learning outcomes of using a nonexample learning model. The purpose of the study is to describe the planning, implementation and learning outcomes using the example Nonexample learning model to improve the learning of writing negotiation text for students of Grade X Social Science Class in SMAK Santo Thomas AquimasBengkayang. The method used for this collection is a descriptive method. The design is class action research (PTK). The techniques used are direct communication techniques in the form of interview guidelines and documentation studies. The tools used for data collection in the form of observation guidelines are IPPKG 1 and IPKG 2 and the Student Assessment sheet. The analytical techniques used in this study are qualitative descriptive. The results the students gained in the learning process skills of writing negotiation text using example Nonexample learning models increased ranging from pre-cycles, cycle I, cyclesII , and cycle III. The results of the increase before carrying out the average action value of the student is 64.28% and there are 2 students completed. After the research carried out on the cycle I average grade is 80.03%, and there are 21 students who complete. In the cycle III the average student score increased to 89.76% and there were 22 students who completed, so from each cycle experienced an excellent improvement.Keywords: Writing Skills, Negotiative Text and learning Example NonexampleModel.

Abstract

Abstract“The Ability To Listen To Folklore Text On Students Of Class  X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak” This study aim is to describe the ability in listening to folklore text on students of class X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive method and quantitative research form. Based on the results of the calculation of percentage in the data analysis, it can be concluded that the percentage of students' ability to determine the character and the characterization on the folklore text is 87% that labeled as "Very good". Students' ability to determine the background on the folklore text is 84% that categorized as "Good". Based on the calculation of both aspects, it can be concluded that the students' ability to determine the character, characterization and background on the folklore of class X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak is 85% that categorized as "Good". Keywords:            Ability, Listening, Folklore.

Abstract

AbstractThis study is aimed to describe the improvement of writing abiliy on procedure text by using Writing In The Here and Now learning model at the eighth grade students of SMAN 3 Sanggau. The method used in this research was descriptive method. Descriptive method is concerned with developing or giving explanations of social phenomena towards subject that being observed. The techniques used in this research were observaion, documentary study, and test. The result of writing ability on prosedure text by using writing in the here and now learning model at the eighth grade students of SMAN 3 Sanggau in the firstcycle was 72, 88%  and in  the second cycle, the students? score was 80, 45%. It can be concluded that the implementation of Writing In The Here and Now learning  model improved students? writing ability on procedure text at the eighth grade students of senior high school in SMAN 3 Sanggau.Keywords: Writing Ability, Writing In The Here and Now, Students Outcom

Abstract

AbstractThe research was based on the lack of students’ writing skill. The evidence was seen from the students writing achievement which were mostly below Minimum Passing Grade scor, 72,22. In the poetry writting learning, the students were less skilled in writing their ideas to poetry. This research is focused on poetry writting learning by using mind mapping method with audiovisual media. Problem in this research is “how is the use, evaluation to see the achievement, and learning constraints by using mind mapping method with audiovisual media?” This research aims to investigate the use, evaluation to see the achievement, and learning constraints by using mind mapping method with audiovisual to enhance poetry writing ability. Method used was descriptive with Classroom Action Research (CAR) model. Technique used was indirect technique namely observation and documentary study. Tools of collecting data were observation guide namely IPKKG 1 and IPKG 2, and student’s scoring sheet. Analysis technique used was qualitative descriptive. The results, showed average score in pre-cycle was 54,26, while the average score in the first cycle  was 73,12, and the average score in the second cycle  was 87,70. Thus, the poetry writing ability by using mind mapping method with audiovisual media is increased from the pre-cycle, the first cycle, and the second cycle.          .                                 Keywords: Mind Mapping, Audiovisual, Poetry, Writing Ability

Abstract

AbstractResearch on adat nubak is an effort to explore cultural treasures as preservation and inventory for the enrichment of regional languages and Indonesian. This study aims to find out how terminology in adat nubak (tradition of catching fish) Ketapang Malay community. This study uses the observation method, a form of qualitative research using an ethnolinguistic approach in the context of the use of language in an area that is related to the culture of society. The terminology contained in this research is in the form of tools, processes, time, actors, places, and spells. Analysis of terms, namely monomorfemis, polymorphemis, and phrases. In addition, this study also describes the meaning of terminology in the traditional nubak tradition based on lexical meaning and cultural meaning. Based on the research conducted, the researchers succeeded in gathering 54 terminologies in the traditional nubak of the ketapang Malay community consisting of 20 tool terms, 17 process terms, 2 time terms, 6 place terms, 3 terms of perpetrators, 6 terms of mantra. The term analysis of the form of monomorfemis 21, the term polymorphemis 21 and the phrase 12 lexical terms and meanings and cultural meanings contained therein.Keywords: Ethnolinguistics, Ketapang, Malay, Nubak Adat,  Terminology

Abstract

AbstractThis research is a study that focuses on discussion about reduplication in a collection of short stories Tawa Gadis Padang Sampah by Ahmad Tohari. The reuplication is a classified reduplication based on the form, meaning and semantic function which is in the use of language in a collection of short stories Tawa Gadis Padang Sampah by Ahmad Tohari. The type of form(59) reduplication, meaning and semantic function became the main discussion in this research, which classified based on formulation of existing problems. Based on the result of the study that has been conducted, found a kind of form, meaning, and semantic role in A Collection of Short Stories Tawa Gadis Padang Sampah by Ahmad Tohari. The form of reduplication in this research found four types of reduplication form amounting 139 from 179 data which has been collected. The meaning of reduplication in this research founds 8 types of meaning in 139 reduplication data. Semantic reduplication role in this research founds four types of function which could be analyzed based on the theory. The result of this research can be used in language text exposision structure leaning in the school.  Keywords: Reduplication. Short Stories

Abstract

Absrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peristilahan pertukangan pembuatan rumah pada masyarakat Melayu Sambas secara tradisional. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan peneliti adalah etnolinguistik. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah tuturan bahasa Melayu Sambas yang berupa peristilahan pertukangan pembuatan rumah pada masyarakat Melayu Sambas yang dituturkan oleh beberapa informan. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah peristilahan yang terkandung dalam pertukangan pembuatan rumah pada masyarakat Melayu Kabupaten Sambas. Teknik yang dilakukan peneliti dalam mendapatkan data di lapangan adalah teknik perekaman dan wawancara. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen wawancara dan alat perekam suara. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, peneliti berhasil menghimpun 154 leksem sebagai data penelitian. Data tersebut terdiri dari 55 leksem prapertukangan dan 99 leksem proses pertukangan. Data tersebut diklasifikasikan menjadi peristilahan berdasarkan alat, bahan, proses, hasil, dan pelaku pada tahap prapertukangan dan proses pertukangan Masyarakat Melayu Sambas secara tradisional. Kata Kunci:   Peristilahan, Pertukangan Pembuatan Rumah, Tradisional, Etnolinguistik, Komponen Makna Abstract: This study aimed to describe the society carpentry manufacturing home Malay activities in Sambas Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a form of qualitative research. The approach used is entholinguistic approach. The sample of the study is the speech of Malay Sambas in the form of home-making terminology carpentry in Sambas Malay society manifested by several interviewees. The data in this study is the terminology in carpentry manufacturing home to the Sambas Malay society. The techniques of data collecting are recording and interviews. The tools of data collection are interview instrument and voice recorders. Based on the research done, the researcher managed to collect 154 lexemes as research data. The data consists of 55 pre-carpentary lexemes and 99 carpentry lexemes. Abstract

Abstract            The native speakers of it, spread out around Tayan Hulu District, Sanggau The problem of  this research is the affix of  Dayaknese of Mali  in Peruan Dialect,in which limited to become  3 subtitles of problem, such as  pattern, function and meaningful. The research used is the descriptive methode. The resources of the data in the research is BDMDP which is spoken by  the community of Dayaknese of Mali in Peruan Dialect, in Kecamatan Tayan Hulu. The Data of this research is the affix of Dayaknese of Mali in Peruan Dialect,in the words spoken by the community of Dayaknese of Mali in Peruan Dialect, in Kecamatan Tayan Hulu. The technich used in the research, is teknik libat cakap (active conversation technic), showing picture technic, interview technic, and documentation study technic. The affix of BDMDP  consist of 5 patterns, such as : N-, ber-, poN-, ter-, do  The pattern of prefix N- has  some patterns of variation, such as m-, n-, Ƞ-, Ƞc-, dan zero. The prefixs ber-, b-, be-, and bel-. The allomorph of prefixs ter- such as : ter- and te-, while prefixs do- in BDMDP does not have any pattern of variation when it is arranged in free morpheme as well. Keywords: Morphology, Dayaknese of Mali, Peruan Dialex

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the effect of the snowball throwing learning model on the ability to analyse fable texts. While the specific objectives of this study are 1) knowing the difference between snowball throwing learning models and conventional learning models; 2) knowing the difference in high group learning outcomes and low group learning outcomes; 3) knowing the interaction between learning models and learning outcomes on the ability to analyse fable texts. This study used a factorial design experimental method. The population in this study was students of Muhammadiyah Pontianak 1 Secondary School. The sample in this study was seventh grade students of Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak Secondary School. The techniques of data collection in this study were measurement techniques with multiple choice test instruments, structured observation techniques, and documentation techniques. The results showed that there was a difference in the ability to examine the fable text treated between the snowball throwing learning model and the conventional learning model with Fcount > Ftable (13,377 > 4.03).Keywords: Conventional, Fable Text, Snowball Throwing

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study describes the problem, while this research is useful for researchers to increase knowledge and insight in analyzing the works of literature, can be used by teachers and students as a medium of learning and as a comparison material for other research. "How does a character figure in Genduk novel by Sundari Mardjuki ? The method used in this research is descriptive method. The reason for choosing the deskrptif method because this research is to describe and describe the character figures contained in Genduk novel. Descriptive method is a method that expresses, describes, describes, describes, and exposes the object. Data collecting technique used in this research is documentary study. This datorenter study is done by reviewing sentences or quotations of figures and figures who became the source of. Thus the author himself as a key instrument as a planner, meaning the researcher is located as planner, executor, data collector, analyzer, data interpreter, and ultimately the research rapporteur. After the data is analyzed to be tested its validity first, it is intended that the researchers get an objective result.
