Kata-kata Kunci: Daya dukung aksial tiang, Rumus Meyerhof (1976), Probabilitas kegagalan, Faktor keamanan, Variabilitas daya dukung aksial tiang. Abstract Meyerhof (1976) formula for calculation of pile axial bearing capacity is quite familiar in Indonesia. It is essential to quantify the variability of soil in a design. This also means, it is essential to quantify the variability of axial pile bearing capacity versus N-SPT inherited in a commonly used formula like Meyerhof (1976) formula. An analysis to quantify the variability inherited in Meyerhof (1976) formula for calculation of pile axial bearing capacity was performed. The data in the publication of Meyerhof (1976) are used in the analysis. The relation between the probability of failure for pile and the factor of safety in terms of the axial bearing capacity formula was quantified. It was found that the factors of safety for formula of unit pile tip bearing capacity are 1.54, 2.17, and 1.35 for driven pile in sand, driven pile in silt, and bored pile in sand, respectively. Also, it was found that the factors of safety for formula of unit pile shaft bearing capacity are 1.54 and 1.14 for driven pile in sand and silt and bored pile in sand, respectively. Keywords: Axial pile bearing capacity, Meyerhof (1976) formula, Probability of failure, Factor of Safety, Variability of axial pile bearing capacity.

Abstract

Chemical concepts are tiered from simple to complex. If misconceptions occur in simple concepts, they can cause misconceptions in complex concepts. The four-tier instrument is a tool for detecting misconceptions. This research aims to develop and describe the validity and reliability of a four-tier instrument on junior secondary-level chemistry concepts. This development research consists of 6 procedures: (1) concept mapping, (2) testing, (3) defining unscientific concepts, (4) developing four-tier instrument prototypes, (5) validating four-tier instrument prototypes, and (6) finalization of four-tier instruments. The developed four-tier instrument consists of 27 questions that measure chemistry concepts at the junior intermediate level. The instrument received an expert validation score of 92.81% with very valid criteria. The test results on 30 samples showed a reliability value based on a Cronbach alpha score of 0.713 with good criteria. The four-tier instrument on lower secondary level chemistry concepts meets the validity and reliability requirements so that it can be used to diagnose misconceptions on lower secondary level chemistry concepts.

Abstract

Purpose – To assess the ideological construction of gender–ecology in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Christian Religious Education (PAK) elementary-level textbooks under the Independent Curriculum (Merdeka Curriculum) used in Sekolah Penggerak (2021–2023), addressing the research gap that has not regarded textbooks as a state ideological product Design/methods/approach – A descriptive qualitative study using van Leeuwen’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) combined with ecofeminism. Data: eight books (grades 1–4) published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology and the Ministry of Religious Affairs; a text–visual documentation study; online interviews with five informants (two teachers, one editor, two authors); purposive sampling; categories of inclusion/exclusion, activation/passivation, role allocation, genericisation/specification; source triangulation and research ethics were applied. The scope is limited to eight books and two subjects. Findings – Identifies patterns of domestication of women; marking of femininity (e.g., the color pink); involvement of women in ecological activities that are subordinate and anonymous, whereas men are named/activated as protectors or givers; women are passivated as recipients of assistance. The integration of gender equality values and ecological awareness is not systematic. The state, through the Ideological State Apparatus (ISA), reproduces patriarchal–anthropocentric discourse. Research implications – Proposes a CDA–ecofeminism rubric–based audit–revision across the entire publishing cycle; editorial–design guidelines (balance of roles, equal naming, avoidance of essentialist visual codes); discourse literacy training for teachers; as well as periodic, transparent evaluations with feedback channels from schools and religious communities.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of implementing the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model and analyze improvements in student learning outcomes and communication skills on the subject of classification of living things. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Subjects were all seventh-grade students of SMPN III Wonosalam in the 2025/2026 academic year. Learning outcome data were collected through pretests and posttests, while student communication skills were measured through pretests and posttests using questionnaires. Data analysis used a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes and communication skills after implementing the TPS model. The average posttest learning outcome score was 74.96, higher than the pretest score of 45.01. Students' communication skills also improved, with a posttest score of 88.59 compared to the pretest score of 30.93. The significance value (Sig. > 0.05) indicates that the implementation of the TPS model significantly impacted learning outcomes and communication skills. These findings demonstrate that the TPS learning model can improve students' understanding of the material and their communication skills. This model can be an alternative learning strategy that is innovative, interactive, and supports students' activeness and social skills in the learning process.
