Abstract

The twenty-first century continues to experience a breakdown in the foundations of society which causes new and worrisome things. The emergence of a pandemic in this century has a consequence that has caused various problems, especially in the field of education. The development of community needs for education services, especially at the senior high school level (SMA) is not following the improvement of the quality of human resources with life skills. This happens because educational services have not been able to carry out face-to-face learning completely. The implementation of distance learning (PJJ), the use of online learning technology, re-orientation of the curriculum, and improving the skills of educators are policies that are taken to overcome these problems. This study uses a literature review method that aims to critically examine ideas, findings, and knowledge of life skills education to analyze and solve educational problems during the Pademi era, especially in history learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the situation during the Covid-19 period which affects all sectors of life, including in the world of education. Teachers and students are required to be literate towards technology and literacy in learning to anticipate the spread of false information or hoaxes. The methodology used in this research is qualitative with descriptive analysis and data collection techniques in the form of a literature study. The findings of this study lead to the conclusion that the critical literacy-based historical learning model is important to apply because it is beneficial for teachers and students. The critical literacy learning model is designed with a critical pedagogical approach changing the wording hone critical thinking skills and to equip students with the skills to understand, critique texts critically, analytically, and evaluatively. While the benefits for teachers are an effort to improve the quality and effectiveness of learning by developing 21st-century competence.

Abstract

This article examines the relevance of historical learning by transforming the local value of the tanggomo to the awakening of local identity in Gorontalo. In its development., tanggomo is not only known as folklore or oral literature, but is also one of the objects of struggle for a locality and the beginning of the growth of nationalism. In its implementation, history learning must pay great attention to the growth of national identity and identity, both in the Indonesian and local realms, so that local history studies need to be used, in addition to improving the quality of history learning, as well as an effort to introduce regional wisdom. The writing in this article uses the literature study method by involving empirical and relevant literature sources.

Abstract

Globalization has a negative influence that has an impact on shifting the orientation of the value of life, so local wisdom is needed as a means of protection. Local wisdom contains positive values that can be passed on to the current generation as a way of life. The purpose of this study is to provide an alternative to social studies learning with a constructivist approach as an effort to strengthen value education. The research method used is through a literature study. This article will describe the history of the ulur-ulur tradition, the procession of ulur-ulur, and alternative conceptual ideas of the McClintock and Black constructivism model which consists of seven stages, namely observation, interpretation construction, contextualization, learning cognitive skills, collaboration, multiple interpretations, and multiple manifestations.Globalisasi membawa pengaruh negatif yang berdampak pada pergeseran orientasi nilai kehidupan maka diperlukan kearifan lokal sebagai sarana proteksi. Kearifan lokal memiliki kandungan nilai-nilai positif yang dapat diwariskan kepeda generasi saat ini sebagai pegangan hidup. Tujuan penelitian ini memberikan alternatif pembelajaran IPS dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme sebagai upaya untuk penguatan pendidikan nilai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan melalui studi pustaka. Artikel ini akan memaparkan sejarah tradisi ulur-ulur, prosesi upacara ulur-ulur dan alternatif gagasan konseptual model konstruktivisme McClintock dan Black yang terdiri atas tujuh tahapan yaitu observasi, konstruksi interpretasi, kontekstualisasi, belajar keahlian kognitif, kolaborasi, interpretasi jamak, dan manifestasi jamak.

Abstract

The reconciliation of the Ambon Maluku conflict in 2002 is inseparable from the local wisdom of the Maluku people namely, pela gandong. When many parties find it difficult to find out how to end the conflict, pela gandong transforms into part of conflict resolution. However, peace conditions that are still vulnerable (peace vulnerabilities) allow conflict to occur again. Therefore, the achievement of conflict reconciliation must increase to the stage of peace education. The Maluku people define pela as a model of friendship, a system of brotherhood, or a system of fellowship that is developed between all indigenous people of two or more countries. Pela gandong local wisdom-based peace education has been implemented at SMPN 9 Ambon City and SMPN 4 Salahutu Liang Central Maluku District in the form of hot education pela education activities. This is different from the civil education model developed by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Ambon Public Middle School 9 has a total of 1431 students with 99% Christians, while SMP Negeri 4 Salahatu Liang has 414 students with 100% Muslims. This study aims to reveal how the mainstreaming of peace education with the local wisdom model is imple­mented. The study was conducted in January 2018 at SMPN 9 Ambon. To get the answers of researchers, qualitative case study research methods are used. Data collection through literature study, interview, and partici­patory observation methods. The results of the study revealed the main­streaming of peace education with the local wisdom model of Pela Gandong can be well implemented and able to maintain peace (keeping the peace) in schools.Keywords: Mainstreaming, Peace Education, Pela Gandong, Ambon Conflict Reconciliation, Schools. Rekonsiliasi konflik Ambon Maluku tahun 2002 tidak terlepas dari kearifan lokal kepunyaan masyarakat Maluku yakni, pela gandong. Saat banyak pihak sulit menemukan bagaimana cara mengakhiri konflik, pela gandong bertransformasi menjadi bagian dari resolusi konflik. Akan tetapi, kondisi perdamaian yang masih rentan (peace vulnerabilities) memungkinkan konflik dapat terjadi lagi. Oleh karena itu, pencapaian rekonsiliasi konflik harus meningkat ke tahap pendidikan perdamaian (peace education). Masyarakat Maluku mendefinisikan pela sebagai model persahabatan, sistem persaudaraan, atau sistem persekutuan yang di kembangkan antar seluruh penduduk asli dari dua negeri atau lebih. Pendidikan perdamaian berbasis kearifan lokal  pela gandong telah diimplementasi di SMPN 9 Kota Ambon dan SMPN 4 Salahutu Liang Kabupaten Maluku Tengah dalam bentuk kegiatan panas pela pendidikan. Hal ini berbeda dari model pendidikan perdamaain yang kekembangkan oleh United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). SMP Negeri 9 Ambon memiliki jumlah peserta didik 1431 jiwa dengan 99 % beragama Kristen, sedangkan SMP Negeri 4 Salahatu Liang memiliki jumlah peserta didik 414 jiwa dengan 100 % beragama Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana pengarus­utamaan pendidikan perdamaian dengan model kearifan lokal terlaksana. Penelitian dilakukan pada Januari 2018 di SMPN 9 Ambon. Guna menda­patkan jawaban peneliti, dipergunakan metode penelitian kualitatif studi kasus. Pengumpulan data melalui metode studi kepustakaan, wawancara, dan observasi-partisipatoris. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan pengarusutama­an pendidikan perdamaian dengan model kearifan lokal pela gandong dapat terlaksana dengan baik dan mampu memelihara perdamaian (keeping the peace) di sekolah.Kata Kunci: Pengarusutamaan, Pendidikan Perdamaian, Pela Gandong, Rekonsiliasi Konflik Ambon, Sekolah.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing need for Information and Technology (IT) in the field of education in the era of globalization. The advancement of IT in the era of globalization requires humans to have superior IT skills. One way to synergize IT to provide superior IT skills is through education. Education is the right field in synergizing IT, especially in the learning process with the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK.) approach. The formulation and purpose of the research is to provide a descriptive analysis of the IT synergy with the TPACK approach in the social studies learning process at the Junior High School (SMP) level. This research uses descriptive analysis method with literature review from books, journal articles, and other sources related to the research topic. The benefits of this research are: (1) It can be used as a reference for similar research related to IT synergy with TPACK approach in other learning; (2) It can be used as an illustration of the application of IT synergy with TPACK approach in social studies learning process; and (3) It can be an inspiration for social studies teachers in conducting social studies learning by synergizing IT with TPACK approach in schools.  This research not only fulfills an urgent need for a deeper understanding of how IT can collaborate with TPACK in social studies learning, but also aims to provide an important contribution to the development of effective learning practices in the future.

Abstract

Multikultural budaya perlu diterapkan pada peserta didik di sekolah sehingga peserta didik tidak hanya mendapatkan ilmu pengetahuan dan hasil dari belajarnya saja, tetapi juga proses dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan, yaitu dengan teori belajar behaviorisme. Teori behaviorisme menekankan adanya hubungan yang terjadi antara stimulus dengan respon yangs ecara umum dapat dikatakan memiliki arti penting bagi peserta didik untuk meraih keberhasilan belajar.. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka, dengan menggunakan berbagai sumber literatur, baik buku-buku maupun jurnal-jurnal yang ada di internet, dikarenakan situasi pandemi Covid-19 saat ini. Dalam penelitian ini diambil contoh budaya lokal Kabupaten Klaten, yaitu Yaqowiyu yang dilakukan setiap satu tahun sekali pada hari Jumat pertengahan bulan Sapar dan Sadranan yang dilaksanakan satu tahun sekali setiap tanggal 24 ruwah menjelang bulan puasa; kedua budaya tersebut sudah cukup dikenal masyarakat luas. Dari pembelajaran dengan menerapkan teori behavioristik di sekolah dapat ditarik nilai multikultural yang ada pada budaya lokal tersebut, diantaranya: nilai religius, nilai gotong royong, nilai toleransi, nilai kepedulian, dan nilai santun.Multicultural culture needs to be applied to students in schools so that students not only get knowledge and the results of their learning, but also the process of understanding the material presented, namely the behaviorism learning theory. The theory of behaviorism emphasizes the relationship that occurs between stimulus and response which in general can be said to have an important meaning for students to achieve learning success. This study uses the literature study method, using various literature sources, both books and journals. is on the internet, due to the current Covid-19 pandemic situation. In this study, the local culture of Klaten Regency was taken, namely Yaqowiyu which is done once a year on the mid-Friday of the month of Sapar and Sadranan which is held once a year every 24 days before the fasting month; both cultures are well known to the wider community. From learning by applying behavioristic theory in schools, the multicultural values that exist in the local culture can be drawn, including: religious values, mutual cooperation values, tolerance values, caring values, and polite values.

Abstract

Tari Gending Sriwijaya merupakan tari sambut asal Sumatera Selatan yang sejauh ini dipandang sebagai icon cultural. Sebagai warisan nilai estetika dari perjalanan sejarah yang panjang, tari ini dapat difungsikan sebagai bentuk manifestasi nilai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menafsirkan nilai-nilai apa saja yang terkandung dalam setiap gerakan tari Gending Sriwijaya, menerjemahkan nilai-nilai tersebut, serta relevansinya dengan realitas yang ada pada masyarakat selama ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi/pengamatan dan kajian literatur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya sumbangsih literasi makna yang sangat luas dari setiap gerakan tari Gending Sriwijaya. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the results of exploring stambul comedy as part of Indies art in early 20th-century Semarang as an effort to implement meaningful learning about colonialism for students. This research was conducted using a qualitative framework with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies. The data analysis for this research referred to Yin’s two patterns: pattern matching and explanation building. The results showed that the narrative of Stambul comedy in early 20th-century Semarang is relevant for developing students’ knowledge about colonialism in a more contextual manner. Findings indicate that students’ initial understanding of colonialism was still not contextual and tended to be theoretical, with colonialism merely understood as a process of occupation and domination by one nation over another. After exploring material on the development of Indies art through contextual teaching and learning, students were able to think critically and collaboratively. A constructivist process could trigger acceptance and rejection of colonialism: discovering, elaborating, and determining the meaning of learning. Moreover, students’ new knowledge could be factually constructed, influenced by factors such as reading preferences, collaborative abilities, and critical examination of texts provided by the teacher and further explored by the students.

Abstract

The research aims to explore how the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can increase students' understanding and interest in history education with a humanist approach. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, which allows researchers to delve into the experiences of students and teachers in the learning process. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and analysis of documents related to the implementation of PBL in the classroom. The results show that the application of PBL not only increases students' involvement in history learning but also enriches their understanding of relevant cultural and social contexts. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating PBL methods in history education as a way to create a more meaningful and humanist learning experience for students. The implementation of PBL in history education not only enhances humanist learning but also equips students with essential skills to face real-world challenges. However, there are various challenges faced in the implementation of PBL that must be overcome. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of the curriculum and practice of teaching history in schools.
