Abstract

The increasing trend of technological innovation in learning media, in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era makes it easier for students to access knowledge. Historical knowledge is vulnerable to becoming a pseudo-history which is usually narrated in connection with a historical heritage site. Students who do not have the ability to filter knowledge and are limited by direct access to the site will be vulnerable to being exposed to pseudo-history. This research aims to produce learning media that is suitable for use in the classroom. Media in the form of a virtual tour was chosen to facilitate access and improve metacognitive abilities as a filter for students. The research carried out was research and development (R&D) research with a 4-D approach, which was limited to the development stage due to time constraints. Data analysis based on the results of the media feasibility test assessment scores by curriculum expert validators and media expert validators. From a scale of 5, each score of 4.73 was obtained by curriculum experts. while a score of 4.82 was obtained by media experts. The research results show that virtual tour media is very suitable to be used as one of choice of learning media.

Abstract

ndonesia, the world’s largest archipelagic state, faces complex maritime governance challenges stemming from a disconnect between its decentralized legal framework and its centralist administrative practices. Despite constitutional provisions allowing regional entities to engage in international cooperation, bureaucratic hurdles undermine the effectiveness of maritime paradiplomacy, particularly in regions such as the Riau Islands and North Maluku. This study aims to address this gap by examining the 15th-century Melaka Sultanate as a historical model of decentralized maritime diplomacy that can inspire modern policy innovations. Utilizing a qualitative historical-comparative method, the research juxtaposes Melaka’s port-based paradiplomatic mechanisms such as the empowered role of syahbandars and strategic diaspora networks with Indonesia’s current regulatory constraints. Primary data were sourced from historical manuscripts including Suma Oriental and Yingya Shenglan, while contemporary policies were analyzed through legal documents and regulatory simulations. The findings reveal that Melaka's distributed sovereignty, pragmatic neutrality, and cultural diplomacy through maritime networks facilitated effective transregional cooperation, in stark contrast to Indonesia's modern procedural stagnation. As a conclusion, the study proposes the revival of localized diplomatic authorities through "Maritime Autonomy Zones," the establishment of port curator councils, and the integration of cultural heritage in international engagement strategies. By recovering indigenous governance models, Indonesia can transform its peripheral maritime regions into vibrant centers of diplomatic and economic agency. This research not only bridges historiographical, legal, and policy domains but also offers a feasible pathway for strengthening Indonesia’s maritime sovereignty through culturally resonant decentralization.

Abstract

The study examines the integration of reflective pedagogy and eco-pedagogy in the construction of historical causality, with a focus on building environmental awareness and values through an understanding of cultural landscapes in history education. The phenomenon of environmental unconsciousness in history education has become a primary urgency for the development of an educational model that combines critical reflection and ecological values. This approach aims to cultivate critical attitudes and ecological awareness among students by leveraging relevant historical and local cultural contexts. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including literature review, observation, and interviews. The results of the study show that the integration of these pedagogies is effective in deepening understanding of historical causality while instilling ecological values and preserving local culture as a medium for meaningful learning. The implications of this study encourage innovation in history learning that not only teaches historical causality but also builds critical ecological awareness and cultural values. These findings contribute to the development of new models of history learning that are environmentally and culturally aware.

Abstract

Background: Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) is a vital framework for integrating technology into education. In Indonesia, TPACK research has grown significantly, yet most studies focus on science and mathematics, leaving gaps in social studies, particularly history education. Additionally, its potential in supporting the equivalency education system, which serves non-formal learners, remains underexplored. Research Objectives: This study aims to analyze TPACK research trends in Indonesia (2019–2023), examine its contribution to the equivalency education history teacher community, and provide recommendations for integrating TPACK into history education. Research Method: Using bibliometric analysis, this study analyzed 1,208 documents from the Scopus database with the keyword "TPACK." The analysis focused on publication trends, dominant themes, and geographical contributions, particularly in history education and equivalency education. Research Findings: Indonesian researchers dominated TPACK research during the study period. Most studies focused on pre-service teacher training and learning media development, primarily in science and mathematics. Limited attention was given to social studies, especially history, highlighting an opportunity to expand TPACK research into history education and the equivalency education system. Research Conclusion: This study emphasizes the need to integrate TPACK into history education to enhance the competencies of equivalency education history teachers. By leveraging TPACK, educators can create innovative, technology-enhanced learning experiences tailored to non-formal learners. Professional development programs are also essential to equip teachers with TPACK skills. Abstract

Contemporary education faces complex challenges in responding to increasingly diverse social realities, where traditional modern paradigms emphasizing objectivity, linearity, and single rationality are beginning to be questioned for their effectiveness. The urgency of educational transformation is becoming increasingly pressing in light of developments in digital technology, globalization, and the post-truth era, which demand learning approaches that are more adaptive, inclusive, and responsive to the complexities of the times. This study aims to explore the postmodern philosophical foundations as a basis for developing innovative learning models that reject universal rationality and accommodate plurality of perspectives. The research uses a literature review approach by analyzing twelve relevant scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025 from accredited national and international journals. The selection process includes articles that have undergone peer review, are available in full text, and are relevant to postmodern philosophy, learning innovation, and 21st-century education. Data analysis was conducted through in-depth reading, thematic identification, comparison, and synthesis of information. The findings reveal that postmodern educational philosophy emphasizes pluralism, criticism of grand narratives, and curriculum decentralization as the foundation for more inclusive learning. The main themes identified include paradigmatic transformation requiring decentralization of pedagogical processes, integration of humanistic technology through adaptive digital learning, innovative methodologies emphasizing subjectivity and creativity, adaptive strategies responsive to technological changes, and development of authentic identity through intrinsically motivated and reflective learning. The research concludes that the development of contemporary learning models must integrate philosophical, technological, methodological, strategic, and psychological aspects within a holistic framework that transforms education from rigid knowledge transfer into a space for the liberation of meaning that values diversity and context.
