Abstract

On Keprekan Road – Yogyakarta’s Limit is always crossed by heavy vehicles and sometimes overloaded. On that road found “Jembatan Timbang Salam”. Because of  still many phenomena the overloaded vehicles so that “Jembatan Timbang Salam” needs to be revisited its performance in dealing with violations of overloaded that will be effected the pavement performance. From the results of evaluation and analysis carried out, "Jembatan Timbang Salam" in category C which means its performance is in bad condition and it affects the performance of the existing pavement. Using the assumption of the initial design serviceability index (P0) 3.9, the design terminal service ability index (Pt) 2.5, Structural Number 5, and 10 years plan (2005-2015), overloaded that occurs in the field due to condition A (actual load), age of road performance only lasted for 9.48 years for the first analysis (using a growth rate for all classes of vehicles) and only lasted for 9.53 years for second analysis (using the growth rate for each type of vehicle class). Moreover there is also a decreasing road service ability index with an average decline for the first analysis due to standard JBI  load are 1.40% and due to condition A are 1.48%. And than, for the second analysis due to standard load average decline reached 3.07% and for condition A average decline reached 3.33%.But with the overlay in 2011, 2012 and 2013, the service ability index of the road are being increase. For the first analysis the increase reached 26.02% and 35.30% increasing for second analysis.

Abstract

Semarang roads - Kendal, which is part of the North Coast, an arterial road linking central basis of national economic activity. With the increased traffic on North Coast Road, and included on this road, especially with the presence of a growing number of trucks that are overweight  overloaded on this road, so for the next few years is expected to be down this path of service, either in terms of traffic performance and the performance of the pavement. Given these problems, this study is conducted to evaluate the performance of road traffic Semarang - Kendal and estimate the need for the added layer of the existing pavement as a result of overloading (overloading) is. For purposes of analysis, the method used in this research capacity (MKJI) to analyze traffic performance, and methods of Highways 2002 to analyze the needs of additional layers as a result of overloading. From the results of the analysis, found that the value of the performance of the traffic for the roads to be reviewed on line Semarang - Kendal, the value of DS = 0.74 in 2019, while in the opposite lane (Kendal - Semarang) DS values obtained larger is equal to 0.79; thus advisable to increase the geometric path (such as road widening) or by shifting part of the burden to the rail mode as a solution to improve traffic performance in the coming years. As for the analysis of the existing pavement, this study used two types of load, which is ideal load (with reference to the amount of the allowable load or JBI) and actual load (of the survey). The analysis showed that in the year 2019 plan, the road Semarang - Kendal takes a thick layer added by 6 cm (for ideal weight) and 10 cm (for actual expenses). If the residual life analysis, then by applying the actual load on the existing pavement was found that the existing pavement structure can only support the weight overload for 4 years and 2 months of age 10-year plan.

Abstract

Kudus Ring Road is a primary arterial road that connects traffic from the provincial capital of East Java’s Surabaya to the provincial capital of Central Java’s Semarang. This ring road was establised with the purpose to redirecting traffic without having to pass through the urban area, so it can reduced the traffic jam. First construction was started at 1997 and has several repairs or improvements. At an early age getting older, this ring road needs an evaluation for many fators such as traffic performance, road geometry, road pavement, drainage channel, and complement facility such as light lamp, road marker, and traffic’s signs. The results of the evaluation are expected to improve the quality of this ring road in serving the traffic movements.

Abstract

Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang is one of the international airport in the Province of Central Java . International airport status is used because there is a flight plan to foreign country and Ahmad Yani Airport worthy to serve the airlines. However, the facilities and services that exist not suitable for international-class airport. Therefore, these airports continue to be developed in order to serve the demand for overseas flight, both domestic and international flights increased from year to year. It can be from Semarang and head to Semarang. The development includes the development of the infrastructure of the airport land and air sides which are divided into two phases. With the completion of the first phase of development, Ahmad Yani Airport will have a wider terminal in the North of  runway, ample parking space, covering an area of 61.344 m2 apron and two taxiways. Development of second phase will make Ahmad Yani Airport has an area of 78.313 m2 apron that can accommodate 12 Boeing 737-900 aircraft class and 8 pieces taxiways, 2 pieces exit taxiways and 1 piece parallel taxiway. This Final Thesis will analyze the air side of the Ahmad Yani airport that has runway formed, taxiway and apron at the existing condition, the development of the first phase and the second phase of development. This analysis will have predicted number of passengers in the plan of year which will then be converted into the number of aircraft at busy times. Results of the predicted number of aircraft will be on an analysis for the air side capacity of the Ahmad Yani Airport in the development plan that has been done by Ahmad Yani airport, so that it will be known the air side ability of the Ahmad Yani Airport to the demand in the plan year. This analysis refers to the rules that set up by FAA. Results of the analysis showed that when the condition of existing air side in the form of runway, taxiways are still able to serve the demand of flight but the capacity of the apron are not able to serve so for prediction of the next 5 years in the first phase of development there will be over capacity. However, with the development at the Ahmad Yani Airport, aircraft servicing predictions for the next 5 to 10 years can already be served by a taxiway and apron but rapid exit taxiway should be built for runway’s component, so that it can increase runway capacity at peak hours.

Abstract

Manual guidance highway pavement design issued by Directorate Jenderal Bina Marga is the result of modification to the rules of some developed countries such as AASHTO owned by United States and AUSTROADS owned by Australia. Then, the guidelines are adjusted to the condition of Indonesia to become an official guidelines that serve a reference for planning of highway pavement thickness in Indonesia.In this research, the study and the evaluation using four highway flexible pavement design guidelines starting from 2002 (Pt. T-01-2002-B) up to the latest guidance published in 2013 (No.02/M/BM/2013) with the case study Piringsurat – Batas Kedu Timur road segment. Use data as well as some of the same parameters in pavement design, in order to facilitate the conduct comparisons as traffic growth figures (i) 2,5% before 2020 and 3,5% after 2020. The result of flexible pavement thickness of four methods according to the flexible pavement design guidance, compared and assessed so as to produce an evaluation of each manual guidance flexible pavement design.

Abstract

Road maintenance and rehabilitation program is a program to improve functional condition of a road pavement. EVERSERIES 5.0 is a group of programs having an ability to do a complex analysis especially in determining pavement respond and modulus, and also designing pavement overlay, i.e. EVERSTRESS, EVERCALC and EVERPAVE, respectively.The objective of this research was to evaluate Bina Marga Pd T-05-2005-B Guideline in designing overlay thickness by comparing the guideline with EVERSERIES program. The location of the study was TMII – Cibubur segment of Jagorawi toll road. For the purpose of the research, two-way (direction A and B) deflection data along the segment together with 5-year traffic volume data were collected. In determining overlay thickness, EVERSERIES program firstly evaluated the existing deflection and pavement temperature data and used them in backcalculation process to produce elastic moduli. The moduli, together with traffic volume data, then were used to calculate the overlay thickness.On the other hand, Bina Marga Guideline calculated manually the overlay thickness based on the category of deflections. The results showed that Bina Marga Guidelines always produced less thickness than EVERSERIES program, i.e. 7.2 and 7.12 cm for direction A and B, respectively, compared with thicknesses produced by EVERSERIES, that is, 11.9 and 10.29 cm for direction A and B, respectively. This is because there is a difference in overview of pavement-layer distress between the two methods.

Abstract

Material LEADCAP is an additive material to be added to the asphalt (by the dry/ wet process) for the purpose of reducing the temperature of the mixed asphalt. LEADCAP melts at about 100̊C and completely  dissolve into the asphalt at a temperature 130⁰C. To determine the performance of the asphalt mixture by LEADCAP, we made 15 samples to determine the optimum bitumen content (OBC) with a bitumen content of 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5%. Then with the OBC has been obtained, the mixture is made with 3 variations LEADCAP levels of 2%, 4%, and 6%. From the LEADCAP levels, made respectively - each 3 variations in temperature is 145⁰C, 140⁰C, 130⁰C. Every each temperature we made 3.

Abstract

Kerusakan jalan di Indonesia umumnya disebabkan oleh pembebanan yang berlebihan akibat pertumbuhan jumlah kendaraan yang tinggi. Selain karena faktor beban, perkerasan itu sendiri merupakan hal utama yang mempengaruhi kerusakan jalan. Agregat berperan penting dalam pembentukan lapis perkerasan karena merupakan komponen utama dari campuran aspal yaitu 80% dari volume, dan 95% dari berat total campuran. Gradasi adalah salah satu sifat agregat yang mempengaruhi kekuatan perkerasan. Teori fractal digunakan untuk menggambarkan secara kuantitatif kompleksitas geometris dan kemampuan mengisi ruang suatu objek tertentu yang diharapkan mampu mengoptimalkan kinerja campuran. Pada penelitian ini, jenis campuran yang digunakan adalah aspal beton (AC-WC). Campuran AC-WC dibuat dengan gradasi yang berbeda, yaitu; gradasi yang memiliki persentase lolos saringan mendekati spesifikasi batas atas, tengah, dan bawah. Setiap gradasi dianalisis nilai fractalnya dan didapatkan nilai fractal 2,5420 untuk gradasi atas, 2,4998 untuk gradasi tengah, dan 2,4113 untuk gradasi bawah. Semakin besar nilai fractal, maka semakin banyak jumlah fraksi agregat halus. Setiap gradasi dibuat benda uji, dan diuji marshall. Dari hasil pengujian, dilakukan kembali perhitungan dengan menggunakan simulasi secara matematis untuk mendapatkan nilai VIM yang sesuai dengan persyaratan, yaitu 3%-5%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai fractal gradasi atas yang memiliki karakteristik rongga udara memenuhi spesifikasi berkisar antara 2,5419 sampai 2,5422, gradasi tengah berkisar antara 2,4997 sampai 2,4998, dan gradasi bawah berkisar 2,4111 sampai 2,4115.

Abstract

Yogyakarta city in ones of the big city in java, that straregic because of tourism and student city. The every years vehicle to in Yogyakarta be increase. There is be the main of jamming trafgic, ones of them is Urip Sumoharjo street from STA 03+100 – STA 03+585. From a sekunder data from dirjen Bina Marga Yogyakarta show of digit traffic growth daily being increase for 4 last year. The number of street ministry feasibility show with degree of saturation (DS), with condition DS < 0,75. The result of the analysis from survey on September 2013 show DS to existing road not eliginle with grades DS 1,25 because park ib roads so width then effectife traffic decreased of road capacity. Main of step solution jamming traffic are park optimalitation, with manage parking patters with some simulation in cornerand length with the reduction of parking on-street along 240 m of the junction the Galeria Mall, to meet the needs of the SRP which is less need to create a new SRP for making buildings with parking in the surrounding streets Urip Sumoharjo. After then steep feel not optimal to change of DS for the next 4 years, make a building parking in arround of Urip Sumoharjo. With it capacity of road will be increase so DS what quality last a long time same with increase of growth LHR Yogyakarta city in next year.

Abstract

The increasing of Indonesian population growth resulted the requirement of society in a whole aspects of life increase, including the requirement on transportation. Semarang-Solo highways is one of the thoroughfare in Central Java,  the volume of traffic that increasingly dense making it unable to accommodated by the highway. As a solution, the government through PT. Trans Marga Central Java build a toll road to connects the city of Semarang and Solo along 75.67 km. The development of Semarang-Solo toll road Semarang Bawen segment Penggaron-Bejii section using rigid pavement as early design of pavement. Evaluation results show this design have some weakness, so it needs the innovation of the pavement to minimize the shortage. Through value engineering stage is the stage of information, speculation, analysis, development, presentation and implementation found that alternative designs were selected for use on this highway is a system of precast prestressed concrete pavement (PPCP). Analysis results the system in the design of the project will reduce the execution time for 84 days or 21% of rigid pavement method.
