Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the impact of e-commerce adoption on the performance of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The TOE model framework is used, but the individual context is added as a criticism of the framework as an influential factor in e-commerce adoption. Six intriguing variables were examined with five hypotheses. The questionnaires were distributed to 191 MSMEs in the food and beverage industry using Google forms and sent via WhatsApp application in order to derive their opinions or assessments, which were used as the data collection method in this study. In this study, structural equation modeling-partial least squares (SEM-PLS) was used as an analytical tool. The results of the study show that there is a significant relationship between technology, organizations, and individuals and the variable e-commerce adoption, which is expected to have a significant impact on MSME performance. MSMEs should be better able to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the business environment to improve their performance through the use of e-commerce. As a result, MSME owners are advised to use explicit competitive strategies through various activities carried out by the functional departments of the organization, such as emphasizing their advantages or expertise. In addition, the government must continue to take steps to improve human resource skills in e-commerce through various coaching, competency, and training opportunities.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced business actors and/or MSMEs to adapt to the wave of disruption. There was a change in the way people shopped, a channel shift. People are abandoning traditional shopping in favor of shopping in the market online. However, there are barriers to MSMEs going digital, such as perceptions of benefits, business age, and HR competencies. This study aims to assist MSMEs in overcoming barriers to e-commerce use during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Because, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises are the most vulnerable businesses in a pandemic situation. This is a qualitative type of study. Data collection techniques include listening for and recording important information in order to conduct data analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study concludes that in the crisis era, MSMEs that have been in operation for a long time must determine a change in mindset and level of maturity in determining the stance or belief of each step of adopting new technology. Several education, training, exhibition, and mentoring programs must be implemented in order to meet the needs of qualified human resources in e-commerce.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: Organizations must be responsive in an increasingly complicated and competitive business environment.  Background Problems: To stay relevant, the leader's role must be maximized in cultivating and promoting the people resources they have. This is still a problem of leadership style applied in a business organization. Novelty: The transformational leadership style is the solution to a company's uneasiness in the face of a more dynamic and disruptive business environment, particularly for SMEs that are still learning how to execute the optimum leadership style.Research Methods: A quantitative technique based on variance Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Partial Least Squares (PLs) was used to acquire a better understanding of the relationship between variables. An online questionnaire was used to collect responses from SMEs employees in the food and beverage sector in Karawang Regency, Indonesia.  Finding/Results: Transformational leadership has a good and significant impact on organizational commitment and work performance, according to the findings. Similarly, the commitment organizational to work performance. Organizational commitment, on the other hand, does not appear to be a significant mediating variable between transformational leadership and work performance. Conclusion: Although transformational leadership can have beneficial effects on employees like commitment and intimacy, it's important to remember that during the present Covid-19 pandemic, employees require a decent income from their work

Abstract

Companies that want to survive in the era of information technology disruption characterized by hyperconnected business operations must quickly adopt social media technology. The problems faced by the business sector often delay the use of today's business models due to high anxiety. In fact, the role of digital marketing through the use of social media is very large. So, the company’s main key in responding to and seizing opportunities from this upheaval is innovation. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of social media and innovation on SME business performance. The diffusion of innovations theory is used in this study as an affirmation that the implementation of technological innovation by SMEs is driven by the characteristics of innovation and organizational characteristics, bearing in mind that the current research unit of analysis is SMEs, namely organizations. In this research, to acquire a better understanding of the relationship between variables, quantitative approaches based on variance Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Partial Least Squares (PLS) were applied. Respondents were drawn from SMEs in the food and beverage sector in Surabaya, Indonesia, via an online questionnaire. The findings of this study provide positive and significant evidence between the role of social media utilization and innovativeness on SME performance. This means that SMEs in Surabaya have realized that social media is a very important tool for the success of a company. These technologies take information and knowledge sharing, interaction, and advertising to a higher level, resulting in benefits for organizations and customers. SMEs will fail and perish if they do not dare to innovate in technology.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurship education and perceived economic opportunities on students’ entrepreneurial decisions through risk-taking behavior as a mediating variable. This research integrates the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Behavioral Finance Theory (BFT) to explain how knowledge, opportunity perception, and psychological attitudes toward risk shape entrepreneurial decision-making among students. A quantitative approach was employed using a structured questionnaire distributed to university students in Semarang City who had participated in entrepreneurship courses. A total of 104 valid responses were analyzed using SEM-PLS, with respondents selected through a purposive sampling technique based on specific research criteria. The results indicate that entrepreneurship education and perceived economic opportunities have positive and significant effects on students’ risk-taking behavior. Furthermore, risk-taking behavior significantly influences students’ entrepreneurial decisions. The analysis also confirms that risk-taking behavior partially mediates the relationship between entrepreneurship education, perceived economic opportunities, and students’ entrepreneurial decisions. These findings highlight that entrepreneurial decisions among students are influenced not only by entrepreneurial knowledge and opportunity recognition but also by psychological readiness to take risks in uncertain economic conditions.

Abstract

The digital revolution of the past few decades has significantly transformed the business paradigm. One of the technologies dominating this change is artificial intelligence (AI). AI has opened new opportunities in the business field with its ability to process data rapidly and detect previously unseen patterns. The aim of this research is to identify the potential utilization of AI in enhancing operational efficiency and business innovation. The research method employed is a literature review with a qualitative approach. Data used are sourced from Google Scholar for the period from 2017 to 2024. The findings of this research indicate that in an increasingly competitive and dynamic digital era, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a key driver for companies aiming to remain relevant and successful in a constantly changing environment. The use of AI opens new opportunities and stimulates business innovation by enabling companies to optimize strategies, enhance operational efficiency, and create more personalized customer experiences. However, the utilization of AI also brings challenges and risks, including data privacy and security concerns, as well as biases in AI decision-making. To address these challenges, companies must focus on talent development, collaboration among stakeholders, and cultural and organizational paradigm shifts.

Abstract

Business information systems have evolved into a crucial pillar of strategic decision-making across various organizations. With the accelerating changes in the business environment driven by technological advancements and globalization, information systems play a key role in providing the data and analysis necessary to support more precise and accurate decision-making. This research utilizes a literature review with a qualitative approach, drawing data from relevant literature sources. The primary data sources include scholarly articles accessed via Google Scholar, published between 2013 and 2024. The study reveals that business information systems are vital in supporting strategic decision-making, innovation, and market adaptation. The use of systems such as ERP, CRM, and BI provides access to real-time data essential for formulating more effective business strategies, improving operational efficiency, and responding swiftly to market changes. Case studies from various companies, including Tokopedia, GoTo, and Astra International, demonstrate that optimal use of business information systems not only aids in identifying new business opportunities but also enhances the capability to innovate and adapt to evolving market dynamics.

Abstract

UMKM memainkan peran penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, namun persaingan yang semakin ketat di era digital menuntut mereka untuk mengadopsi sistem informasi guna meningkatkan daya saing. Penelitian ini merupakan tinjauan pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana sinergi inovasi digital dan fenomena Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) dapat membantu UMKM dalam menghadapi dinamika pasar. Data dikumpulkan dari Google Scholar dan situs web kredibel dalam rentang tahun 2020–2025, dengan total 30 artikel yang disaring menjadi 18 artikel yang paling relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi informasi seperti e-commerce, big data analytics, dan chatbot dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional serta memperluas jangkauan pasar UMKM. Studi kasus dari Batik Trusmi, Kopi Kenangan, Somethinc, dan Erigo menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi strategi pemasaran berbasis FOMO dengan digitalisasi mampu meningkatkan loyalitas pelanggan dan mendorong pertumbuhan bisnis. Namun, tantangan seperti rendahnya literasi digital, keterbatasan modal, dan kurangnya perencanaan jangka panjang masih menjadi hambatan dalam implementasi sistem informasi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan dukungan dari pemerintah, platform digital, serta pelatihan yang berkelanjutan agar UMKM dapat mengoptimalkan sistem informasi secara efektif dan berkelanjutan dalam meningkatkan daya saing mereka.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah menciptakan disrupsi pasar yang menuntut wirausahawan untuk memiliki kemampuan adaptasi yang tinggi agar bisnis mereka tetap kompetitif. Optimalisasi digital competence menjadi strategi kunci dalam menghadapi perubahan ini, mencakup literasi informasi, komunikasi digital, pemanfaatan teknologi dalam operasional bisnis, serta keamanan siber. Penelitian ini merupakan tinjauan pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis deskriptif, yang mengkaji berbagai literatur dari Google Scholar dan sumber kredibel lainnya dalam rentang tahun 2015–2024. Dari 50 artikel awal, 22 artikel dipilih berdasarkan relevansi dan kualitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wirausahawan yang mengoptimalkan digital competence mampu meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, memperluas pasar, serta menciptakan inovasi bisnis yang berkelanjutan. Studi kasus dari Mangkokku, Buttonscarves, dan Sayurbox membuktikan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pemasaran, manajemen pelanggan, dan rantai pasok dapat meningkatkan daya saing bisnis. Namun, masih banyak wirausahawan yang menghadapi kendala seperti keterbatasan akses terhadap pelatihan digital dan resistensi terhadap perubahan teknologi. Oleh karena itu, kolaborasi antara pemerintah, akademisi, dan industri diperlukan untuk menyediakan pelatihan serta dukungan kebijakan guna meningkatkan kesiapan digital wirausahawan. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan digital competence bukan hanya menjadi kebutuhan individu wirausahawan, tetapi juga faktor strategis dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi digital yang lebih inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran strategis Human Capital Agility dan Digital Readiness dalam mengoptimalkan kinerja tim virtual pada dinamika lingkungan kerja hibrida berbasis teknologi adaptif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, di mana data diperoleh dari berbagai sumber akademik dan website kredibel pada periode 1964–2025. Dari total 50 artikel yang diidentifikasi melalui Google Scholar dan situs lembaga riset internasional seperti McKinsey, sebanyak 37 artikel terpilih setelah melalui proses seleksi ketat berdasarkan relevansi dan kualitas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Human Capital Agility berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan adaptif, fleksibilitas, dan inovasi individu terhadap perubahan teknologi dan sistem kerja hibrida, sedangkan Digital Readiness menentukan kesiapan karyawan dalam mengoperasikan teknologi kolaboratif secara efektif. Sinergi antara kedua faktor ini terbukti mendukung peningkatan produktivitas, efektivitas komunikasi, serta inovasi tim virtual dalam menghadapi kompleksitas kerja modern. Penelitian ini juga memperkuat teori Dynamic Capabilities dan Resource-Based View yang menegaskan bahwa kelincahan SDM dan kesiapan digital merupakan sumber daya strategis bagi keunggulan kompetitif organisasi. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual terhadap pengembangan manajemen sumber daya manusia digital dan menjadi dasar praktis bagi organisasi dalam merancang strategi peningkatan kompetensi SDM di era kerja hibrida berbasis teknologi adaptif.
